JJOF: ![]() Have you ever wondered why an institution teaches you that by dancing, clapping, singing and donating your money to another man your God will reward you? The people that do not dance, sing, clap, donate to pastor.....but are rewarded, where did their wealth come from? ![]() |
rexbuton:No mind them jare. After serial losses the strategy Buhari used to win was obtained from SW. The strategy Osinbajo would use to defeat opponents will come from SW. ![]() |
Buhari lost three elections back to back, his fighting back failed to deliver result...until he strategically went about it a different way. Osinbajo does not need to fight back, he needs strategy. A winning strategy! |
Omoodua007:I never thought of it but you are correct. |
They have to define what constitutes "hate speech". cc Arewa Consultative Forum Dr Junaid Mohammed |
fyneguy:Dude, Tin Can is over thirty years old. You dont need to be in Lagos to know how to spell it. He committed the same error of illiteracy that former IGP had when he couldn't pause and reflect on a badly composed speech where every sentence is a Transformer. This OP may not know but for God's sake do we have an IRELAND in Nigeria? |
IDanfulani:Yeah, thank God for knowledge! |
JJOF:Anything posted in Political Section becomes meat for consumption if I have taste for it. ![]() Why does he need to preach to rich Northerners to use their wealth to take care of their own? If Otedola had not made the contribution would Reno have had the concern? |
JJOF:Pastors should not use their wealth to develop Nigeria. Stop talking rubbish to me. Pastors are not supposed to have wealth. Their preoccupation should be God worship, not material acquisition. Church should not develop Nigeria either. Their job is to support communities and help the needy. |
gidgiddy:Precisely! I have combed repositories, including exclusive ones with subscription, trying to find any record of Yoruba contact with Ibo pre-1900....None exist! Not in oral record, not in written record. I even looked at artworks that perharps I will find trace of contact with Ibo, None exist! Yoruba has record of Ijaw and Igala...the two colonizers of Ibo ahead of Britain. Yoruba related with others at State level....Ibo had no State, therefore we had no reason whatsoever to know you or care who you were. |
nijabazaar:So do you love Hausa? ![]() |
nonxo007:You missed the point. Please read my post again. The proper words to use in this context is Government and Private, not individual. Private investors do invest in capital assets and resources that create production and help in employment and markets thereby leading to redistribution of wealth. The Indimis do that. Government is responsible for social growth and alleviation of impediments to capacity building. Education, hospitals, markets, infrastructures....these are all capacities that when available makes a person excel in society and become self-sustaining. Indimi is not responsible for the second part. No wealthy Nigerian is responsible for that second part. That is government role. |
lexy2014:If we are talking of flaunting wealth....the same man he praises now, Mr Otedola, a true and great man...well known for his phillantrophic involvement in society....not long ago in Spain or Italy, I forgot, was pictured with his daughter with ice cream cones. They flew to another city just to get ice cream. His daughter posted it. So it is impossible to have the kind of wealth these people have and expect that their children will not live extravagant or, in the age of social media that they would keep their extravagance out of sight. Impossible!! I will dial back to Diezani as Minister of Oil. Her sons are always in private jets flaunting. That's what wealth does. It is inconsiderate of him to go down that line. Look, this guy is an ex Presidential aide. Is this the best he can do for the nation, poke nosing into individual family lifestyle? ![]() |
Esseite:Conversations in a thread swings. Participants swing with it and keep the theme rolling. It is derailed when the swing extends beyond the thematic area. Atiku, Indimi ...are consistent with North East and poverty in North. Reno, Atiku.....consistent with partnership. What he accused Indimi of, Atiku is likewise guilty of. Can you see the theme now...or do you need me to break it down into A, B, C, D.... ![]() I am going to stop responding to you. If i continue you will dumb down my thinking. ![]() |
spokesboy: ![]() We are talking of Lagos politics, not your village council gathering. Go and read the Governors statement on the budget and the projected revenue, there is deficit of over 90billion. After allocation the performance is going to be worse than the deficit. Lobbyists were not happy when Ambode was Governor....they couldn't reach him! They can reach Sanwo....their hernia is healing.... ![]() |
What event was that? I was out of circulation this past weekend to know whats going on. ![]() Where is naptu sef? ![]() |
kettykin:Kaduna Declaration kick started an independent Biafra for you....free of charge and without any bloodshed. What did you do with it? |
I think the question ought to be "Is there any ethnic group in Nigeria that doesn't have issues with Ibo"? Don't single out Yoruba...we just happen to be most visible on internet and our responses to Ibo are heard more often than what you hear from others. On Hausa forums Ibos are thrashed daily but you won't know because it is written in Hausa. Go and check Asari videos and what he said about enslaving and selling Ibos. Ibos themselves have cried out repeatedly that their people are despised in Benue. Their markets are targets of vandalism and intimidation for the slightest excuse in Bayelsa. In Jos, everytime violence break out between Fulani and indigenes Ibos go into hiding...for fear of becoming collateral victim. It is a serious problem, very serious, and it needs a fix....but it is compounded by Ibo themselves and the avenues to use to fix it is often blocked by their own arrogance. |
Esseite don run comot for thread. ![]() I hope you are in google collecting data for response to the challenge. Post your answer when you have it available. Im willing to drag this thread to over 100 pages as necessary since you have something to prove. ![]() |
Esseite:I thrive on love for my ethnicity...Yoruba! Simple. ...but let's leave all that to the side. I want to return you to the issue at hand. Answer my challenge to name private jet owners anywhere in Nigeria that engage in removing the poverty that is visible all over their environment. |
Esseite:You did not see Lagos, I guess. ![]() Esseite, you are under-developed in mental capacity at my level of critical thinking and analysis. You may be a king of analysis in your village but when we meet in Nairaland please know, and make a note for yourself....I will trap you into a corner mentally and embarrass you intellectually. ![]() |
voltron14:No mind them. ![]() They have no clue... its a story of blind leading blind. |
Esseite:Please focus.... ![]() Dont go into terrorism or IDP. Stay on vanity by jet owners and their sorrounding poverty. Poverty has no yardstick....poverty is poverty, whether in Maiduguri, Lagos or Onitsha. Social factors or impact of poverty is what can be measured...not the deprivation itself. Go back to my previous and discuss how many private jet owners in Anambra helped poverty in Awka or Onitsha. |
. |
Esseite:Well, isn't the topic on flaunting private jets by a family sorrounded by poverty? Tell me any state in Nigeria that does not have poverty. Tell any state in Nigeria that does not have citizens that own private jets. Tell how many of those private jet owners are involved in and engaged in removing the poverty that sorround them. |
Esseite:I am available to stress the point with a thinking person...not someone preoccupied with a utopian fantasy for what could be... Call your thinkers for support, tell them to gather and challenge me...you can sit back in corner and learn. |
omenka:You nailed it with the right expression "herding"! Atiku took a meeting to Dubai and published an impractical encyclopedia of how to get Nigeria working again....Reno was a principal facilitator of that encyclopedia. Is what Reno has been saying the way to get Nigeria working again? PDP is in trouble when fugitives that cannot vote are listed as voice of the party. |
Esseite:Abeg, stop asking rhetorical questions fit for a utopian society. |
There was nothing wrong with Lagos...the Party leaders were the ones suffering from hernia. Didn't Sanwo Olu just release over 1trillion budget last week? Of course the hernia pressure has gone down. ![]() |
Esseite:poverty in North had been there before Britain colonized them and before Alhaji Indimi was born. It will continue after he is gone from earth. They have governments in North, the development of North rests on government, not private individuals. This whole issue came about from donations made to Save Children Foundation. That's an act of phillantrophy and is not same as development for North. You are not talking to an illiterate! |
Where is Thinker Ireland, you bloody illiterate! Dont you mean "TinCan Island"? Are you a Nigerian...or one of these imported bandits from fulani enclave in Mali? Gosh!! Disgusting! |
