Igboid: Ogbonnaya Onu has to show interest to contest before Buhari loyalty can be tested. Moreover, Politics is all about money. Onu has no money to rival a former governor of a state like Rivers who probably looted and have a healthy stash of funds stored somewhere that could fund a presidential election. Patry delegates are only swayed by money.
I think Umahi should be Igbo best choice in APC. He has the money to finance a presidential election. What interest has Amaechi shown? Infact Amaechi has maintained his disinterest in running. Yet you are doscussing him becoming a consensus candidate. Transfer the zeal to an Igboman. If it's your turn and you can't step up then Igbo is not man enough to do what others do. YarAdua had no money when he became President. Goodluck had no money when he was made Vice President. It's Igbo turn, stop beating others down and front an Igboman. Put your zeal towards an eligible Igboman. You are naive to think APC will give flag to Umahi. How old is Umahi in APC? |

Igboid, Please do me a favor, read this and respond.
Ogbonnaya Onu is an Igboman to the core and has been a very loyal and productive member of CPC, pre-APC days, and remains steadfast with Buhari in APC. He stood with Buhari through series of losses in presidential contests and when others abandoned Buhari's failure to seek glory elsewhere this man stayed put.
What stops Buhari from using consensus to declare Chief Onu his successor?
Stop wasting spit on a bastard Igbo, focus on a true son of the soil and make noise with your people to bring Onu out into eligibility. |

Looking at that picture from op, one starts to wonder why a bombed building is still standing upright on its structure. This is a diversion from the traditional warfare that demolishes structures and properties.
I'm thinking Russia has different capacity explosives. The type used in this picture does not demolish, nonetheless it destroys cavities of standing buildings. It would suggest Russia intends to preserve these buildings for rebuild. Why would an enemy preserve assets from the ruins of war?
Is Russia planning a long term strategy to use Ukraine as a buffer territory? This is called between a stone and a hard rock, Ukraine could become the new age East Germany as West and East face off in a new era cold-war. |
Politics › Re: Lack Of Proper Education Root Cause Of Crises In Nigeria – Buhari by MetaPhysical: 10:56pm On Mar 26, 2022 |
[s] iwaeda: ABUJA–PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has blamed the crises in Nigeria on ignorance and lack of proper education, saying the problem can only be addressed through the provision of proper education.
This was as he tasked universities to begin to develop curricula on self-education, saying a shift in focus and orientation of students was very necessary at the moment.
Noting that education “supports all efforts and developments in terms of social, economic, political and religious undertakings”, Buhari, who spoke, Saturday,at the 11th Convocation ceremony of the National Open University of Nigeria,NOUN,held in Abuja, said his,”Administration is committed to making education affordable to all, through the Open and Distance Learning,ODL.
2023: Buhari’s timely intervention has resolved APC crises – Orji Kalu
“In this connection, the National Policy on Education,NPE, had provided for lifelong learning that transcends all barriers through Open and Distance Learning,ODL), the president said in his through his representative and acting Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Mr. David Gende. said his “administration has done and will continue to do a number of things to support the operations of the university by placing priority in the provision of critical human and material infrastructure through annual budgetary allocations and interventions from Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND.
“It is common knowledge that the root cause of most of the recorded crises of nationhood we experience in Nigeria is as a result of ignorance which can only be through the provision of education.
” The University, as the only single-mode, Open and Distance Learning (ODL) institution in Nigeria, was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria to bring equitable access to all eligible Nigerians who are being constrained by the limited space in the Conventional Universities.
“I am extremely happy to note that the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is indeed delivering on its mandate by taking affordable University education to the doorsteps of Nigerians irrespective of their location, tribe, sex, and religion,” the president said.
Açcording to him,”Education as we all know, supports all efforts and developments in terms of social, economic, political and religious undertakings.
” It is common knowledge that the root cause of most of the recorded crises of nationhood we experience in Nigeria is as a result of ignorance which can only be through the provision of education.
“This is why this Administration is committed to making education affordable to all, through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL). In this connection, the National Policy on Education (NPE) had provided for Lifelong Learning that transcends all barriers through Open and Distance Learning (ODL).
“This A)administration has done and will continue to do a number of things to support the operations of the University by placing priority in the provision of critical human and material infrastructure through annual budgetary allocations and interventions from Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND),” he added.
The president said,” It is gratifying to note that the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) continues to record more successes at the national level by expanding access to higher education as well as making it affordable through the establishment of more Study Centres across the country.”
” In this regard, the National Open University of Nigeria has created a niche for itself in both national and global spaces,” he further said.
The president, while noting that,”it is pertinent to restate that the nation’s educational curriculum be geared towards placing emphasis on entrepreneurship education”, said there must be a paradigm shift in the focus and orientation of our graduates towards employment opportunities.”
” The realisation of this objective lies with our universities to develop new curricula that will lay emphasis on self-employment,”he insisted.
But the president said,””It is pleasing to note that the National Universities Commission (NUC) is about to conclude the comprehensive review of the curricula of all programmes in our universities and placing premium on entrepreneurship.”
“This as we all know is a driver to increase productivity and reduction in unemployment figures among our youths.
” The Federal Government through various interventions has created the enabling environment in support of this drive. It is our hope that our graduates will utilise these opportunities by embracing all the various programmes that have been put in place.
“I salute the efforts of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Management and the Governing Council for making sure that Government funds released to the University are judiciously utilised in erecting top-class facilities as exemplified by iconic structures on this campus,”he added.
“I urge you not only to maintain the tempo but to continue to improve on your performance as you pilot the affairs of this great University,” he told the students.
The president congratulated the graduates “who despite all challenges, have endeavoured to put in their very best to attain their dreams of being proud holders of university degrees.”
” I, therefore, charge you as you go into the larger society to be good citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, our Country. In addition, endeavour to utilize the various Federal Government interventions to reduce unemployment,” he added.
On his part, the Vice Chancellor of NOUN,Prof. Olufemi Peters, described the convocation as the unique in many respects, given that it was the first he was presiding over since he took over the mantle of the institution as vice chancellor.
He used the opportunity to request for a speedy appointment of a substantive chancellor for the National Open University of Nigeria,NOUN, following the death of the chancellor-designate, His Royal Highness,Agabaidu Elias Ikoyi Obekpa,Och’ Idoma IV,who was billed to be installed at the occasion if he had not died.
The convocation,he said, did not only hold at the convocation arena but also across the state capitals in Nigeria “and indeed, in all,in all but 48 of the 103 Study Centres of the University.”
” This feature of our convocation brings into prominence the fact that the National Open University of Nigeria is indeed a class of its own. It also underscores the significance of the “gown to town’ credo of the socio-educational development of our people in Nigeria.”

Politics › Re: Sit At Home Order: 100% Of Anambra Citizens Support Gov Soludo! by MetaPhysical: 3:47pm On Mar 26, 2022 |
onumadu: It was always obvious to anyone with even half a brain, that the sit at home order must end at some point.
THIS IS THAT POINT!
IT MUST END so that Anambra citizens can breath, be free to create wealth as they are naturally endowed by God.
We stand by our genius new governor to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Majority of Anambra citizens now believe (and with clear evidence) that those enforcing sit at homes in Anambra state ARE NOT from Anambra state! They should (and MUST) leave our villages and forests to return to their own states to continue their reign of anarchy and terror there.
It also seems likely that those enforcing the sit at homes may not even be Biafran agitators, because such strategy defeats the goal entirely! I mean if you conduct a Biafra referendum in Anambra today, it would not get up to 10% support. Who wants to live in a country ruled by irrational emotional illiterates?
It is almost likely that those enforcing the sit at homes are sponsored by anti-Biafran elements. But that is NOT the point here. They point is that it must stop regardless of whoever may be sponsoring it!
What annoys us educated Anambra folks is that these people are mostly illiterates. Has anyone ever seen a rat swallow an elephant before?
How can we surrender our lands and homes to a bunch of asinine illiterates who can never understand the rudiments and intricacies of economic development?
Do they think that the achievements recorded by Anambra citizens are products of brainless emotional actions? How many millionaires have they ever seen that built wealth on emotions? Ask Ibeto or Innoson how HARD it is to set up and run a truly successful business!
Economic development is a very DELIBERATE, DISCIPLINED effort. 99% of people fail at it because of this fact! The 1% rule for a reason!
Wealth can only be created/built through cold calculations, physical efforts, sweat, and discipline.
These people running around in our bushes lack all of these attributes, and that is why they cannot understand the damage they do to our economy by enforcing sit at homes every productive Monday in our state!
Why is the sit at homes most brazen and most enforced in Anambra state than elsewhere in the whole east? Why Anambra state?
More importantly, how many Anambra citizens are taking part in the criminal act of killing innocent citizens who go about to hustle for an honest living?
Our governor has spoken and soon any village or town that cooperates with these cowardly terrorists should be considered accomplices and be dealt with too.
Asi na oburu na agbaghi uzo owelle mgba o dighi echi!
If these terrorists violate the governor’s order after April 4, 2022, the governor should invite the entire Nigerian army (and the rest of us will bring the money to sponsor them) to declare one week sit at home to enable the army COMPLETELY flush out these terrorists from our land once and for all!
If the Nigerian army is not up to the task, the governor should consider inviting mercenaries from anywhere to do this job of freeing the state from agents of chaos, retrogression and anarchy.
Anambra is the LIGHT OF THE NATION. That light MUST BE DEFENDED. The sit-at-home order is an uncommon but practical reaction to a civic contract that lacks honor, fairness and justice. The advocates of sit-at-home are synonymous to the advocates of civil rights for blacks in America represented militarily by Black Panther. Black Panther brought the attention of American government to what is possible and what to expect if the peaceful demands of bus boycotts and counter sit-ins are not acknowledged with positive and legally binding changes. Efforts of Black Panther in the background led to acceptance and embrace of Civil Rights Act of 1964. Whether we admit or not, sit-at-home has made some positive gains and earned respect for the Igbo resolve, which before now had been taken for granted. Nigerian Security has taken note...and learnt the risk of engagement in Igboland. Governor Soludo can't just outlaw sit-at-home and not acknowledge their grievance and lay out a framework to treat issues of injustice and persecution of Igbos in their own homeland. It is good to end sit-at-home, but will ordinary Igbo begin to enjoy the fruits of his/her labor without unnecessary harassment and negative profiling in the political and justice system? The challenge is on His Excellency, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo to become the homeland hero and bring respect and honor to Igboland. |

The first key in his post is a treatment of an identified problem, which is, "breaking Northern domination"! It means not expecting support, votes from North and likewise ignore their outcry. The second key in the post is the solution or remedy for progress of South, "a combo of seasoned technocrats" to lead forward. An expectation of using resources and electorates in South to navigate our progressive economies and societies. Both keys are achievable, and YES, two Southerners, no one can stop it but South itself. It takes resolve. Always reflect deeply before condemning inputs. |

So Buni faked a sick leave and handed over to Sani Bello on excuse he was headed to Dubai for medical treatment, but the freak ended up attending meetings with Buhari & Malami in London. Soon after that dissafection erupted. Now they see clearly who is opposition and what their defenses are. It was a trick, and it paid off. For the avoidance of doubt, Governor Fayemi in response to a question from the audience accusing the President of imposing a Chairman on the party at the forthcoming convention, stated that the President's priority was the unity of the party and he didn't know about the President endorsing any candidate for Chairman. But that if indeed the President has expressed such a view, the President that he knows is a democrat and those who do not share the view may of course contest. Fayemi is a boy-boy and a political illiterate. A democrat believes in, and upholds principles of majority voice. You cannot both be a democrat and an autocrat. Buhari is an autocrat. His action at unilaterally selecting a candidate and forcing acceptance is preemption of majority voice. That Fayemi is unable to distinguish autocrat from democrat is embarassing.
