Loooooooooooooooooolz. There is nothing more ridiculous than that. Why didnt u say it was conceived under Lord Lugard. I will not reply you again cos u just showed that you cannot be objective. Jakande conceived the idea of BRT? Hilarious!
You freaks will jump online to say rubbish and falsify records on Lagos but when indigenes of Lagos call you out with authentic history and irrefutable facts you throw up more rubbish.

It seems that name BRT is gold to you. You are absorbed in the illusive form, irrespective of the origin of the substance.

Betrayed which AD? He moved with his allies to form another party. He could have joined the PDP like other desperate politicians but he was loyal to his allies. The AD had lost relevance and was becoming an extension of Afenifere so Jagaban had to move. Tinubu's work is spectacular because his templates are still being followed and it is generating results. Everytime you see BRT lanes and Buses, say a prayer for Jagaban. Anytime you see thousands of LASTMA officers who are bread winners today, remember to bless Tinubu. His footprints are everywhere in Lagos. Only Fashola can boast of a better record but that is because Tinubu had laid the foundation for Fashola's projects. Gba fun oga e!
BRT lanes and even metro train transit were original develoment framework under Jakande. The current president, Buhari, killed the ongoing construction after he seized power from civilians. You can do bojuju for non-Lagosians, it will not work on me. They were not Tinubu's idea or development plan.

The only footprint left by Tinubu is the conversion of Lagosians endowment to the hands of fulani.

Siwel25:
I have noticed that most critics of Jagaban prefer to attack his age and health instead of comparing their Candidates' records with his. What are they afraid of? Is that not 3rd World mentality? How come they cannot point to how their candidates increased revenue or re-engineered the masterplan of their states as Governor? Why is it only convenient for them to attack his health and age?

Is it because they are rooting for empty barrels?
This is a very good question for other states to answer, but in Lagos we know Tinubu's work is not anything spectacular. He appeared to be a maestro because in the land of the blind he was a one eyed man. When you look at how Lagos commerce has been dominated by outsiders and that every succeeding governor credit Tinubu for it, Lagosians will not be at all delighted in him and his legacy. A primary example is that of Dangote refinery and the outcome of overturn of control in Apapa and Tin Can from Yoruba merchants to Fulani merchants.

Tinubu betrayed AD, to survive the betrayal he embraced the center. It's in record.
Politics › Re: APC Proposed Time Table Leading To Primary by MetaPhysical: 4:39pm On Apr 06, 2022
Useless timetable. They have repeatedly been asked to disclose but they refuse to say where APC Presidency is zoned.

Infact, under Buni, the current Chairman, Adamu, was quoted saying nobody has zoned Presidency to South and the office is open to all.

As new Chairman, he should revisit that question of zoning and disclose where the party stand. That comes before timetable for "imposed candidates".

Where was he and his "attack on one Nigerian, attack on all" when people in Igangan/Ibarapa were under attack and fulani laid seige on their land?

Banditry in North is not a Nigerian problem. Northerners started the fire as means of attack to oppress, dominate and conquer others. It backfired on them. They own this problem, it does not belong to Nigerians.

Rugaria:
Sometimes, we inadvertently stress ourselves to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Political miscalculations can bring avoidable troubles to the most altruistic politicians. The biggest achilles hills for a very confident good administrator is the tendency to be intoxicated by self belief, to the point of exuding unconscious arrogance on impulse. No matter how good the intentions are, if the perception amongst the populace that the leader is aloof or beholden to the dictates of outside forces are allowed to endure, connecting with the grassroots becomes an uphill task. In the long run, the ability of the government to succeed is hindered. Letting the sleeping dog lie, while taking time to silently and genuinely find congent solutions to huge problems facing your government, remains the most effective way to find a common ground in the middle of a debilitating political impasse..

Soludo is loved beyond measure not just in Anambra state, but through the length and breadth of Igboland, not just for his ceaseless display of uncommon administrative intelligence, but also for his daring abilities to showcase through his accomplishments, what statecraft should look like. In so many ways, he embodies the ethos and ethics of the likes of Mazi Akanu Ibiam and Mickael Okpara, two quintessential administrators from the old Eastern region whose administrative ingenuities seldom get as much traction as they should from Nigerias "cash and carry" press.. People are looking at Soludo the same way they looked at Dee Mbakwe; with trust, passion, respect and with a great sense of hope. Soludo can not be allowed to fail even if he chooses to,.. and that's why it's essential to correct his initial miscalculations on the IPOB-ESN "Sit at home" embroglio..

There are two angles to this "miscalculations".
1) He jumped into this frying pan way too early!

Don't get it twisted; the sit at home issue is a very topical political and economic problem facing the whole of Eastern Nigeria as we speak. The net negative effects of this exercise are so overwhelmingly alarming that they demand an urgent response from every government in the East. But do you think that the failure of the former governor and his colleagues in nearby states to stop this, is because they didn't try? You think it is because they don't know how to look the lions in the eyes?.No! They failed for obvious reasons; they never rated IPOB and prefer to tow the federal government template of using all sorts of high handed tactics to tackle an issue that can be solved amicably. Soludo should have avoided the temptation to engage IPOB on a "shouting match" as to whose orders would be obeyed. Rather he should have used more time to consult widely before making decisive public statements on sundry issues. It was supposed to be his first week! War with IPOB could wait...

2) The unwillingness to accept that IPOB-ESN is now a very strong political force in the whole Eastern Nigeria.

This is more like an elite desease in the east. This desease is on a pandemic level, especially amongst pro establishment politicians. To them, it's more like a class battle! A lot of them believe that the best way to solve the "IPOB madness" is to squash it, while never accepting the existence of IPOBs power, reach or capacities to command, control or influence the political realities in the east. They seriously hate this reality. This refusal to accept or even appreciate the obvious, tends to push politicians from this area to choose confrontations instead of dialogue. This leads to very avoidable losses of lives and properties. Typical example is the madness going on in Imo State under governor Uzodimma, who by his recent humble submissions, seem to have finally come to terms with the fact that you can't be bigger than those who sired you. Obviously, political bravado do have expiry dates! Soludo should avoid being forced to start running battles with IPOB. Every peaceful process of engagement should be exhausted. We are tired of burying our young men.

Soludo comes to government with an overwhelming level of support amongst the locals. He is trusted and genuinely loved. A lot of people will genuinely support him in a tango with IPOB! But the question is; why fight with your sons and daughters? This is the kind of fight that a win for you, actually means a loss to all.. Moreover, It's not like the motivating factors behind IPOBs emergence lack merits. There are genuine reasons for easterners to be offended with the structure and nature of governance in the country. If the igbo political elite feel that the methods being employed by IPOB are wrong and ineffective, they should be very forward with their messaging as it regards the most effective alternatives. This is very important because of the reach and effectiveness of IPOB propaganda. The problems that are at the crux of these whole agitations are still there and are getting worse. Finding solutions to these issues of marginalizations and intimidations will go a long way to undermine IPOB. Making no headways on these fronts while endlessly lambasting and lampooning IPOB, only compounds an increasingly intractable but avoidable political quagmire..
Let's use our big heads please..
Politics › Sit-at-home: Fight Or Flee? by MetaPhysical(op): 5:30pm On Apr 04, 2022
https://saharareporters.com/2022/04/04/anambra-residents-shun-prayers-called-governor-soludo-avert-%E2%80%98evil-sit-home

Soludo, on Saturday, ordered the prayer session which he said will work against the activities of the gunmen terrorising the state and the South-East region.

However, SaharaReporters observed that residents of the state observed the weekly sit-at-home ritual as they boycotted the prayers.
------------------------------------------------------------------

The reason for the boycott is simple. People are faced with the impulse to fight or flee. Fleeing is less costly than a fight back. For Soludo to win people to his side he must bring about a new balance in that equation. Far beyond winning people to the fight side, he must also work with his peers in the region and their lobbyists in Abuja for a fair and equitable justice for Igbo. Nnamdi Kanu took advantage of the vacuum in leadership and successfully ehthroned himself as a leader and voice of Igbo. As we see, imprisoning Kanu has not deprived him of the hard won adoration. The sit at home is a devotion to his cause as a political prisoner. Kanu has not addressed his people in months but the spirit of activism on ground continues to push the Biafran agenda forward. If Simon Ekpa was silenced today, it will not stop the agitation. It might in fact take a new escalation.

The best way forward is what Rugaria said in a post below and I endorsed it.

Tinubu nairaland supporters have made some people believe that Tinubu is commanding loyalty in all the southwest states. Southwest has six states which are as follows: Lagos, Ogun, Osun,Ondo,Ekiti and Oyo states. At of these states he only has influence in Lagos, Osun and partially Ekiti. The rest is debatable.
Tinubu once had over 70% loyalty in the region. He has less than that now and if elections were held today, for multiplicities of reasons he would struggle to carry simple majority victory. His popularity and following is huge however. His following in SE far outstrips his following in any other zone.

Oilpussy, even if someone present that map as record you should challenge it. Babangida Aliyu was governor of Niger under Jonathan and he was PDP. All the federal constituency in Niger was won by PDP. That's just one out of many like that where PDP is majority. Niger is in NCentral but I use it to disclaim authenticity of what that map represents. It is inaccurate.

Meanwhile,
You don't win presidency if you loose those two zones. In addition to getting majority votes, a candidate must also beat the state quota for 2/3 of 36 states + FCT.

So Jonathan could not have won presidency without NW and NE combined, that's a whooping 13 states.

I am here to learn..

I opened this thread because someone told me that Tinubu is more influential that Buhari because he helped him to win 2015 election..

Now the question is...Where is Tinubu's Political Stronghold in Nigeria.. ?

Buhari as a notherner has NE and NW as his stronghold in Nigerian politics which started reflecting since 2003 when he began the struggle to become the president of Nigeria..Buhari has been winning the both regions since 2003 until extra two regions joined his train in 2015 hence his victory..

Buhari has a regional support base since 2003 making him to score 2/3 in his region which is a good mark...

Obasanjo also scored 2/3 in his region as well in 1999 and 2003 as well before looking outside (north) for support.

Jonathan equally scored 2/3 in his region before seeking for support of other people outside his region..

Can Tinubu claim to have a stronghold of a region that he's not from ?
Can he also score at least 2/3 in his southern region like every other Presidents ?

Lalasticlala Lalasticlala Lalasticlala

Fp
You have error in your calculation.
Buhari could not have had 2/3 support base in North and still loose to YarAdua in 2008, or Jonathan in 2011, unless they were not loyal to him...in which case they cannot be called "support base".

As of 2017, Tinubu had more than 2/3 support base in SW, NW, NE, NC. A 1/6 support base in SS.

There are states in SW that had 100% wipeout at State and Local tiers, APC won every seat. It happened because of Tinubu. Same in NW. Ganduje lost but regained his seat because of Tinubu.

Events between 2017 and now have drained away his popularity and put his ambition at risk. Even in SW, Tinubu is now viewed as a burden on Yoruba politics. This is due mostly to his inactions on matters of priority to Yoruba agenda.

Southeast has lost more than a month to sit at home. That means Igbo entrepreneurs, business men and women residing in southeast have lost more than a month of their revenue.

The sit at home is hitting hard on low income earners who depend on daily income for survival.

Example, wheelbarrow pushers earn income as they deliver goods into and out of the market. Okada riders, mama put sellers are crying out.

If the average person here makes 4,000 daily, that means they have lost 4,000 times 35 days = 140,000 naira to Monday sit at home.

Yes Sir!!

This should circulate through social media and governments in SE.
