The Igbo National Council, INC, Monday said that it has launched Operation Lion Walk to take over the forest as against the continued reported killings by armed herdsmen in Igboland.


The President of INC, in Owerri, Chilos Godsent, disclosed this after he said that the launching of the operation lion walk, followed the quit notice they earlier issued to armed herdsmen in Igboland last month.

In INC statement, “You will remember that on Thursday, May 21st 2020, the Igbo National Council (INC) worldwide rose from a crucial national stakeholders meeting where we x-rayed the security situation in Nigeria more especially as it affected the Igbo Nation.

“Consequently, we issued a twenty-one (21) days quit notice to the dreaded jihadists killer herdsmen who were criminally occupying our farmlands and forests, plundering them and also raping and killing our women and men of decent blood.

“In deviance to this quit notice, the jihadists killer herdsmen have continued to attack communities in Benue, Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra and the Imo states respectively. On Friday 12th June 2020, a group of jihadists killer herdsmen who were still hiding in some forests in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State attacked and brutally killed a man in cool blood at Mbano Autonomous Community in Agwa clan, Oguta LGA Imo State and flee away.

“The INC viewed this deliberate attack on our people at Mbano Autonomous Community, Oguta, LGA as an affront on the Igbo Nation and a sign of vulnerability of some communities in the Igbo Nation.”

The Igbo group further called on “all the town unions, traditional rulers and youth organisations of communities of the Igbo Nation that has not constituted their vigilante groups to immediately do so and quickly commence the combing of their community farmlands and forests to fish out and flush out remnants of these criminal elements who are still hiding in some of our forests waiting for order to attack and attempt to invade Igbo land.

We, therefore, must rise up now to take our destinies into our own hands more especially now that it looks like many of the governors of the Igbo National States of the Igbo Nation and our legislators have compromised the security and welfare of our people in exchange for political patronage.

“We, therefore, commend and support the boldness of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe of Abia South and the Executive Chairman of the Oshimili North Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State for rising up in defence of their people in the face of this unprovoked senseless criminal attack of the Igbo Nation by the jihadists killer herdsmen. We stand shoulder to shoulder with you in this liberation struggle.

Noting that lions are the kings of the forests, we, therefore, have resolved to release our brave lions to take possession of their kingdoms and flush out every criminal element they may find in their kingdoms who has preferred to live in the forests rather than living in human houses.

“Cognisance of our Rights to Self-determination, this 15th day of June 2020, the Igbo National Council (INC) worldwide hereby launches “Operation Lion Walk” throughout the territories of the Igbo Nation.

This operation is aimed at fishing out and flushing out every criminal element who are criminally hiding in, or occupying our farmlands and forests using same as hide outs to commit sacrilege against the Igbo Nation.”

A spokes person for the group confirms that ICM- UK are currently campaigning against the reported ongoing atrocities, like the raping of our women and young female children, killing of innocent and unarmed Igbos in their own communities, High level kidnappings as well as destruction of homes, livestocks and farmlands by the Fulani Herdsmen, whom it seems are bent on occupation of our lands and forceful islamisation of our people.

The group says enough is enough and are asking the Nigerian government as well as Foreign governments and other humanitarian international bodies to help bring a stop to these needless, senseless and brutal killings and terrorisation of our people.

The group also calls on the Nigerian government to Stop the migration of the terrorist Fulani Herdsmen to the South Eastern states of Nigeria and set up an enquiry to uncover how these herdsmen have access to the military hardwares like the AK47 and ammunitions used in these brutalities and terrorisation of our communities.

Igbo people all over the world are joining the movement, and the ICM-UK is calling on all Pan-Igbo groups all over the world to come together and declare to the world that whilst we recognise that All lives Matters, Igbo Lives, surely Matters too and its about time, that we stand up, together United, and fight for the peaceful existence and future of our people.

Together, we can make Igbo lives matter! IGWEBUIKE is a well known saying of our people.. ONYEAGHALA NWANNEYA will always be our watchword.

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has advised the Hausa tribe to join the Biafra and the Oduduwa Republic in the search of freedom from Nigeria.

“It’s not only Biafraland and Oduduwa that need liberation, Hausa people need it too,” Kanu wrote on Facebook.

According to the secessionist leader, the greatest geo-political fraud in Nigeria is the tagging of the Hausa, who he described as noble race, to the Fulani to create the Hausa-Fulani ethnic group.

The IPOB leader was reacting to the recent invasion of some communities in Southern Kaduna by suspected Fulani herdsmen and killing of women and children.

He claimed that Fulani has been killing Hausa and other ethnic minorities in the far north since 1804 yet they (the Hausa) “foolishly cling on to one Nigeria.”

“This is Fulani supporter of APC atrocity at its inglorious best against peaceful indigenous Hausa and other ethnic groups that make up Southern Kaduna,” Kanu said, wondering why the Fulani, allegedly always kill the Hausa if they actually belong to the same ethnic group.

“This is a lesson for all those, especially Yoruba and RUGA communities in Biafra, that think Fulani will ever stop slaughtering them. The same way Hausa peasants naively welcomed their Fulani visitors who later dominated and turned them into their slaves is how it shall be in the south in the next 47 years. Fulani loves killing people and they will never ever stop. Long-suffering Hausa people is a prime example.

“The time has come to expel bloodsucking Fulani supporter of APC from our lands,” the IPOB said.

First, that beautiful reptile is not "dangerous" as the article describes. There is nothing dangerous about python. It has its own way to find food and defend itself.

People need to stop disturbing and unjustly demonizing python, or any snake.

If that snake was dangerous no one will come so close to it and not already attacked.

Second, the narrator is panicked! He has fears of t he snake as nd his village people and has connected that both are after him.
