Slaves in Africa had better access to justice and fundamental rights than modern day Africans.

They had rights of grievance and a sense of justice and equity that we lack as free borns.

Slaving in Africa is completely different from slaving in America.

Una too like to copy. If you hear that Americans have started setting their cars on fire because it was made with slave labor. You will start asking if we should burn our cars in Nigeria also. Una moomoo too much! grin

Wtf!

There are many shyyty wrongs here.

Consequent upon the recent concrete-form snap of the Pedestrian Bridge, at Gariki , Amaechi Awkunanaw , in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State, which is under construction, the contractor handling the project, Barkindo Nigeria Ltd, has taken “absolute responsibility” for the unfortunate incident.
Gariki is Hausa word. Garki!

Awkunanaw is Wawa Ibo, cannibalist history like Abiriba, Arochuku and Ohafia.

Barkindo is Fulani name.

No wonder the gaddem bridge snapped!

All ibos with land lease in Yorubaland are good as long Biafra remains a dead option.

If you create Biafra you will need new lease contract with new payment at current market rate...and if you refuse we will also refuse to accept your property tax. This can lead to default and forfeiture.

Shut up!

Two of them I know personally, they always come home. They built mansions in their home towns and their families visit home a lot.

Igbos are like Jews, no matter where they go, they never forget their hometown, if u doubt me, visit Anambra, Imo, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi during Christmas period and see timbres and calibres returning from all parts of the world to their respective villages in Igbo land, its a culture and a way of life for the Igbos.

For your info, my own cousin is also rising fast in US Navy, currently in Japan since 3 years now for training, and from there he maybe heading to South Korea, etc.

We talk everyday. He tells me how he misses home just as I do too.

We Igbos don't forget our root. Even if you make us President of America, an Igbo man must find his way back to his village to pay homage.

Millions of you in Nigeria are already lost, they dont know hot to get home.

When Kaduna Declaration gavetill Oct1st for them to pack comot dem no fit. They said they dont have home to return to.

Beside, they are Americans, not Nigerians.

This is like people spend fmoney and time on games perfecting how to be bad and rugged with guns, with bombs and all sorts of ammo to target and destroy cities and populations but get weak when they see SARS. Their money and time and skills on internet has no application in real life.

Politics › Forget Community Policing, Copy Amotekun - Igbo Union In US Advices SE Govs. by MetaPhysical(op): 6:56am On Jun 15, 2020
Magnus Eze, Enugu

The Igbo Union, an organisation of citizens and residents of Igbo extraction registered in the State of California, United States of America, have told governors of the South East states that history would be unkind to them, if they failed to protect their ancestral land.

The group also urged the governors to reject any community policing model prescribed by the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, noting that it would amount to unwittingly handing over security of the region to their enemies. Rather, they urged the governors to take a cue from the Yoruba of the South West and model the security arrangement of the region toward the Amotekun outfit.

In a letter dated May 30, 2020, to the five South East governors and copied governors of Delta and Rivers states, president-general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and archbishops of Roman Catholic and Anglican Communion in the region, the Igbo Union expressed concern over what it called the insensitivity of the state chief executives to the threat and terrorisation of Igbo by suspected Fulani herdsmen roaming the villages with their cattle and AK-47 rifles.

The letter, signed by the coordinator, Ikechukwu Orji, secretary-general, Matthew Ohanele, and director, diplomacy and outreach, Dr. Ray Chimezie, among others, therefore, charged the governors to liaise with the various state Houses of Assembly and ensure quick enactment of anti-open grazing laws in their states.

The Igbo group said: “There are lots of unanswered questions about your response to the influx of Fulani militia into Igboland, which skyrocketed during the lockdown. It is a fact of history that the Fulani believe in conquering other ethnicities and inhabiting their land. Clearly, the Fulani do not believe in ‘live and let live’ as the Igbo.

“They are sworn enemies of Ndi Igbo and want to take over Igboland as the inheritance of their forefathers. They want to force us to become Moslems. They believe in total and complete domination and enslavement of others as captives or subjects. Their leaders have referred to Igboland as conquered territory, and they are determined to take it as they have done in many parts of Benue, Plateau, and other non-Islamic states in northern Nigeria.

“Popular opinions and anecdotal sources seem to suggest that the governors in the South East are compromised and working in the interest of the ruling Islamic cabals rather than their states. Evidence that seem to support this allegation include the over 360 Fulani settlements in various forests in Igboland, your failure to respond to Fulani threats in Igbo villages, lopsided compensation of Fulani for cattle loss without doing same to affected Igbo people or villages, endorsing Fulani land-grab in Igboland by failing to enact anti-grazing law as was done in states like Benue.

“The Igbo Union wants to make it clear to Igbo governors that we object to the use of the template structured by the IGP. To develop the South East security network using the template of the person or persons masterminding terrorism and planning genocide in Igboland is preposterous. It falls short of what Ndi Igbo stand for or represent.”

Edoboys are suffering in your hand. They created three threads with different caption on Olokun alone. Kaaii! They were desperate for a wiggle room to escape from your stranglehold. grin

They opened a first one, no way....they opened a second one, no pass, they opened a third one and still they cant squeeze in. grin grin grin

Everybody know Edo name must have kp, gh, zh, vw lexicon to have meaning. In their language.

Ogun, Olokun, Osun, Sango, Yemoja. These are all Yoruba lexicon.

Anyone arguing for these deities to be an Edo original does not history of the deities.

Edo slaves did not worship these deities. They were used as blood sacrifice to give worship rituals at the altar. Hence they have mixed it up.

They thought they were used as rituals to Edo gods.....not knowing they were actually offered to popiate Yoruba gods. grin grin .

Mods topics like this should be front page, this inspirational and not a crime report.

What is going on around the globe has been fought for centuries by men and women who sacrificed lives and limbs.

Young underage girls were bombed to death in Birmingham, young boys were hanged in Missippi and a stone tied round their bodies and dumped in a lake to keep submerged.

No living person has been able to convince the global population to see the evil behind racism and to make changes. George Floyd is killed and the death becomes a global movement for changes in racial relationship.

This is called awakening....transformation, not crime.

If i killed snake now and bring you the picture you will jump over yourselves to put on front page.

Kindly move this thread to front page.
Thank you.

oyatz:
Thank you Cosby the Rich, you have raised a very important question which has some historical backgrounds

As someone who grew-up in Ebute-Metta and studied the History of the areas, these are my explanations;

1) Ebute-Metta was part of the Awori Kingdom of Otto with the Capital at Otto just before Iddo on the way to Lagos Island.

Ebute-Metta is a Yoruba meaning 'The three Harbours' i.e Iddo, Otto and Oyingbo.

In the olden days, the king, Oba Oloto of Otto controlled these harbour and had his agents collecting taxes from ships bringing goods to Lagos using those harbours.

2) Around 1850s, there was a great tension between the Christian community and adherents of Traditional Religion in Abeokuta which was on the verge of snowballing into a sectranian crisis.

On the eve of departure of some European Missionaries from Abeokuta, the native christian converts fearing that the dominant Traditionalists will descend on them in the absence of their European proctectors begged the Europeans to take them along to Lagos.

3) On getting to Lagos, the European Missionaries went to the King of Lagos to allocate land for the Egba Christians from Abeokuta but the king said Lagos was already being filled up and he couldn't afford to give the little available land to the Egba people. Instead he suggested that the Colonial Governor, John Glover contact his brother Oba (The Oloto) on the other side of Lagos, just across the Lagoon.

4) Gov Glover approached the Oloto, who agreed to give the Egbas a large tract of land from Oyingbo (Coaste Street) to Somewhere just before the lands of Yaba begins (Glover Street where LSDPC Estate was later built about 130years later).
Oyatz, true story.
I love it! The Egba settlement was result of Crown Grants authorized by land conversion under Gov Glover.

This story you just brought out confirms the authority and ownership of lands in Lagos and goes to prove that even under Colonial govt nobody takes or uses land without first applying and getting approval of the Land Owners.

Eko afterall is Aworiland! grin
