somehow: Nigerians love bad news, so anything that will make them feel happy, they don't mind even if they are lies.
Some are already happy and mocking those living in these axis.
Funny enough @next shared the images here.
He's known to do well with accurate information, wondering why he goofed this time around.
he got the information same way all of us did, from the Nairaland FP.
But sha, we move
About the people who rejoice about the misfortune of others, Lekki axis is known to be for the rich so many people especially the poor rejoice when they hear such happens to the rich. It gives them this satisfaction that the rich has joined in their suffering.
Sadly, it's far from the truth. The rich man whose house was flooded last week might order new house makeover this week and lodge in a good hotel. Then owe his workers with the excuse that the "country is hard"
Indirectly, the poor are sharing in the same suffering they wished the rich
topsy23: Hmmmm my boss you lucky to have your goods with a token compensation for tye dealer.
My own story is quite different but related to yours . A customer paid 1.7m naira for cables in the month of May and it was on Friday evening. I got to factory on Monday and discovered that the price have changed without notifying us. I was restless and don't know what to do. If I go back to the client it will be as if I wanted to play some games on him. When I calaculeted the difference it was about 215,000 naira . I called some friends to explain everything to them, the advice given to me was that if I can absorb I should just go ahead and supply. I have to supply all tye cables in other to keep the client. And again I hate people coming online reporting
such a thing would have happened to me. At the peak of this inflation,a client made contact and after weeks of haggling price and him getting more quotes,we agreed on something. He insisted that he goes to the market with me to get the materials and that was my saving grace. We got to the market on Monday and I got the updated price list for what I want. Made a quick calculation and realized it can't work. There in front of the salesman and client, I returned the money.
He freaked out and tried to cajole me into moving forward with the business by telling me how unprofessional that is, I insisted that I can't do it at the said price. He angrily went back to the bank to deposit the money back.
I recalled my workers from his site and paid them from my own pocket for a ruined day.
even New York City gets flooded. Human incursion into the ocean and global warming, Lagos is in hot soup in the next decade.
Funny thing is that the government is clueless on how to go about it. It has become an annual affair and each one is worse than preceding year.
Come and buy land in Nnewi Anambra State and build what you want with little or no resistance from the government and you don't have to worry about flooding
CypressHill2020: A faulty (bad screen) 55 inch LG Smart TV is up for grabs. Make me an irresistible offer and the TV would be yours. Every other part is in good working condition except for the screen that now flickers.
suledes: Building materials vendor that is interested to supply the roofing materials should quote the price of those items in the picture, and state their contacts.
spyder880: That is, if the neighbours have space to sell in the first place, and at what price they will agree to sell.
In most Anambra state towns, there is so few lands available that many children might not get up to a 12 feet x 12 feet room space as their inherited lands. It's a state with with very small landmass but overpopulated by indegens.
looking at the environment, that's a medium scale community. Lands there will never come cheap
dongc: Are you sure Germany isn't known for making doors?? Probably not popular in Nigeria...Germany is very notable with doors and windows....posted this not so long ago...at least for Nordic and Scandinavia regions
KolaShangOne: Can I get your suppliers contact? Let me see if he can save me some quid. Budget is tight now.
I delayed buying marine boards for 2 weeks and it has gone from 11,500 to 15,000.
Honestly, I don't get these everyday increases. Dollar has been stake for a while now. Why do prices still rise every blessed day!
I always tell homeowners and builders to buy whatever thing they need if the funds are available immediately. Don't wait for the price to come down cause it will not. And even if it does, the difference doesn't offset the time wasted while waiting.
multikolour: I was at a store to buy my entrance door and I was shown two different doors base on my level.
1) turkey door for 140,000 2) Germany door for 130,000
But I asked the owner/seller what is the difference between the two but he could only say the country of origin. Because he could not give a good reason I just transfer 50k to his account and left the shop to return when I get the difference between the two. so house what is the difference between the turkey and the German door? Thank you in advance
