So the airport won't have Ebonyi people working there both direct and indirect workers?
how many Nigerian airport is profitable? Even MMA and NIA are still receiving funding annually from the federal government. So how much is Ebonyi budget that will make her sustain this new recurrent expenditure. Seriously, we need to change our mindset about governance. Every state has been unique capabilities and right now, an airport isn't what Ebonyi can afford

So what if you don't graduate with first class.

You want facts abi, there's a difference between dreams and reality. Your dream is to hit first class, your reality is that you aren't on point of doing that. How you want to react to this reality is your choice. You either keep crying or to start burning extra night candles. But why do you need the first class exactly, maybe you dream you will secure a job faster. Reality check is that lots of first class graduates are still unemployed.

I have these same reservations too about the airport, no doubt. But he is doing well in agriculture too, and the water projects are near completion. And is been long, water borne disease scourged ebonyi state. Still dunno why you are living in the past?
I have been told that state a couple of times. The water they drink is nothing to write home about. I really love that state. Have beautiful landscape. About agribusiness, this state is far from it. Mechanized agriculture is what I am talking about and not just cultivating few plots of lands

You are right tho!
But let's look on the optimistic side of life. If he finishes this project, who are those to gain from it?? The last time I checked, even a wealthy state like Lagos borrows to finance projects, which became a beacon of development, were the people not hungry as at when such projects where done??

Let Umahi pursue his long term goals, if Akpabio Akpabio did it, like one dude said earlier, Umahi is gonna be a success in this too.
until we see governance as business, we can't develop as a nation. What's the cost of the project, how long before it would become profitable. It's not about starting a project. It's about the economic value on the people. These people should take advantage of their agricultural land and expertise. Go into large scale agriculture. You not only create immediate employment, you are certain of recovering your investment and taxing the venture which means more money for the government. Good water supply is a luxury in the state. All their stream is salty so imagine the water borne diseases they would be suffering

Alright, I get your point tho!
To me sha, the project no be the need of the people, but what do I know kwanu? The governor seeks to develop the state through the building of infrastructures, I guess he's looking at the long term goals of these projects.
long term goals when the people of today are hungry. Believe me, 80% of the money needed for this project would be a loan. It's like taking a loan to buy a car because you believe that tomorrow you would need it. Schools, skill acquisition, companies are what this state need. We have lots of white elephant projects in Nigeria and this one is soon joining the list

Oga I know lots of Ebonyi people, these people are still farmers. They would leave their base on rainy season just to go and cultivate food crops and come back feeding from hand to mouth. Give these people free and quality education first. Most Igbo hawkers are from the state. I give it to them, they are extremely hardworking though

let me also add that we should do away with the belief that a mythical Jew who was killed by three nails in a small Israeli village aeons ago died for the misdemeanors of the citizens of a country located off the coast of west Africa.

we should do away with the nonsensical and idiotic belief that snakes and donkeys once talked and a virgin gave birth

believing a valley containing lots of dry bones that's been there for years was given flesh and blood and they all rose (where did those raised bodies go from there?) is also as stupid

Believing that some conman named Jacob got his plain skinned cattle to look at stripped trees when copulating so they can give birth to stripped cattle and it worked!

Believing something must be true because its found in a book written by ignorant goatherders who had no idea where the sun went at night is pinnacle of stupidity

All these nonsense should be thrown into the trashcan where they belong
see how you finished her off. Be merciful please. These stories give some people hope in times of despair
