I hope folks here are aware that Chuks has the right to decide if he would play at the world cup or AFCON?
No he doesn't, the coaches decide. The NFF also decides.

Stop the shenanigans oga. Even the greatest Messi didn't score against any of those teams u mentioned in his first full season as a pro so why should Samuel's case be different? I am not arguing ur point but abeg use another analogy because this one won't fly. Let us just enjoy the good football he is playing. Just because u don't want to hype him doesn't not mean u have to belittle his accomplishments.
You are making my point for me actually. (By the way Messi scored a hattrick in his first El Classico but let me go with what you just said) Messi's first full season was practically 2004/2005 and yet he attended the U20 World Cup, he wasn't too big for it. As a matter of fact he barely made the bench at the 2006 World Cup at which time he was already the next best thing after sliced bread.

By the way I have never ever mentioned the calibre of teams he scored against because it never really mattered to me, this is a matter of context, we are comparing his early years to that of Rooney so I am trying to be as objective as possible that does not mean I am belittling his achievements it means I am pointing out that Rooney has an edge there.

It is quite surprising that some peeps will advocate for one of our best player in Europe to play under 20 in an afcon year. Chukweze will go to afcon. Chuks and Kalu are the only consistent winger playing week in week out in a top league. So Chuks going to afcon for me is not even up for debate at all!
This is Rohr so we will definitely play a 4-2-3-1. Ahmed Musa will start, Iwobi will start and Mikel coming back means he will most definitely start as the AMF. Where does that leave Chuks? On the bench. This is a 7-8 game tournament not a league season where you can rotate. Even if rotations come to mind you will first have Samuel Kalu before him, even if we play a 3-5-2 he cannot play that wingback role. So will he even play at the AFCON? Maybe the odd minute here and there, isn't it better that he goes to the U20, clocks 90minutes in every game and develops better? It is a no brainer really, U20 makes sense for him.

5 goals and 2 assists in 17 senior games. .. even better.

Chukwueze himself has played 26 games.
How many goals in LA Liga? I am sure if Rooney was playing the Europa league against the likes of Rapid Vienna he would have helped himself to a few more goals. But let us look at this impact wise;
Barcelona----> 0 goals and 0 assists.
Real Madrid----> 1 assist
Atletico Madrid----> Record not found, not even sure he played but I will have to check again.
Sevilla----> Ehm, grin
Valencia----> Let's just end it here.

This is not to diminish his achievements at all, I mean scoring against Rapid Vienna and the likes in the Europa league is a big achievement on it's own but do not compare that with Rooney at all at all. Just my point sha

How many nigeria players don play football pass 33 ? due to the use of their football age

Oga defenders play even up to 38 but not our nigerian defenders who will be 41 and claiming 33

Silva and miranda where 33 at the world cup

Now please sir give me list of nigeria players that has played pass 33 expecially defenders

Even taiwo at 29 is already in finland and those back water league baba taiwo is 33 now and somewhere in finland while some others african players are still playing top flight

Yobo was 33 at norwich before the world cup

At the bolded i no beg you to reply me nah, omeruo didnt send yobo to retirement, you expect to say what is wrong and you expect people to keep quiet? abi na only you dey follow super eagles players?

Because yobo retire after the world cup means omeruo send him to retirement? bros na wa for you ooo

Was yobo regular when naija won the nations cup? I know you will turn blind to this question

Yobo was not even expected to continue after the world cup so please get your fact right before you jump into conclusion
lemme ask you a genuine question, do you know what it means when you say that a player sent another player into retirement?

Ok, Yobo used to be a starter for the SE, then Omeruo sent him to the bench, be that because of his age or whatever Omeruo sent him to the bench, so that means he hardly played football and because of that he retired, that is the perfect definition of one player sending another player into retirement, what exactly are you on about

Oga yobo is already old ,when keshi won the afcon yobo was not even a starter so stop saying omeruo sent yobo to retirement na God i use beg you .

Keshi took crappy players to the World Cup ,keshi has his boys ,after the 2014 World Cup yobo retired from football in general

Try and be sincere and stop lying that omeruo sent yobo to retirement ,yobo was 33 at 2014 so maybe if no b omeruo e for continue till now abi

Mind you none of our defenders is close to yobo level

Stop being bias
first of all may I suggest you go back and study personal communication 101, you(no offence) lack proper communication skills, however for the benefit of others let me reply you.

In all our qualifiers leading up that 2013 Afcon, Yobo always started. In the first game of the tournament Yobo started, second game as well he started then in the final group game I believe Keshi then played Omeruo and Oboabona(mind you Oboabona had been Yobo's main defensive pair), from then on Yobo never started any game for Nigeria whenever Oboabona and Omeruo were fit and he eventually retired at 33, how many defenders retire at 33? At 33, defenders should still be playing very well not retiring, so for a defender to retire at such age I do not think it was a voluntary retirement, it means he lost his place to Omeruo and realised he wasn't good enough to get it back and he quit so factually Omeruo sent him off.

And asking me if Yobo should still be playing football now is a very very stupid question. Which professional footballer retires at 33? I can make a list of top defenders who are over 33

My view is simple let all of them be tested no favoritism let the best man win.

For me Omeruo has been at best average never been outstanding at anything. How he still remains in the SE is beyond me. Or is it a reflection of no competition or scarcity of quality within our available CB 's
I will have to stop you there. I am guessing you must have missed the AFCON in 2013 and the 2014 FIFA WC for you to have made such a(no offence really) silly comment. I mean he was easily among the team of the tourney in 2013 and would have made almost everybody's team of the group stage. That's by the way.

Even now at Leganes, since he made his debut, off the top of my head I don't think Leganes have conceded up to 5goals since then, they do not score much but defence isn't their problem at all and mind you they have faced Sevilla(quick question when was the last time an English team defeated Sevilla? I remember Klopp's Liverpool and Man United as their victims but that's by the way). For you to accomplish that monumental defensive record shows that you have at least good players if not excellent, so saying that Omeruo, whose addition has led to that defensive milestone(make of that whatever you want), is average at best is plainly stupid and based solely on emotive bias and negative prejudice

Abiriba is on another planet all together. No no no, residential houses there are better than hotels in other parts of the states. In the entire country I am not sure any town can compete with them, Abia roads are not that good but once you enter that Abiriba side smooth sailing, you won't even be hearing your engine again, smooth sailing. My only problem has to be the bumps they have on that road, otherwise it is one of the few eastern roads that you can clock 130. I am not afraid to say that if we reach half of Abiriba we have achieved something.

Oga it seems u didn't really follow Obinna Nsofor. Did u watch him at the 2005 AYC? His braces in that final against Egypt won us that title. Did you follow his performance during the Olympics? Did you follow him at Verona? This was a player that caught Mourinho's attention at Inter Milan and he went for him.

Isaac Success has not done enough for both club and country to earn him a comparison with Obinna Nsofor. At the age Success is Nsofor was already commanding a place in the then Starts studded Super Eagles team.

Nsofor's performance when he was at WestHam, at the later stages of his career, was even better than what we are seeing of Success now at Watford.

You hit the nail on the head on your analysis of ten root of corruption in Nigeria!
Anybody who claims to fight corruption without, first, ensuring that at least government workers are paid a living wage, is deceiving him/herself.

The proposed N30k minimum wage amongst the cruelest jokes ever perpetrated on the Nigerian people. Anything less than N55k/month for federal workers, is a non-starter.
That's just it, give me enough food and sufficient money to meet all my needs and you will see that I am not corrupt, and if I still go ahead to steal karma will be glad to catch up eih me. But when I don't have shishi, push me to the wall and I will develop teeth and karma will support me. Development comes first then you can start fighting corruption later on, in fact development simultaneously fights corruption

Who else is following this program "The Candidates" on NTAi? What do u make of Moghalu's vision/agendas?
In a better society I wouldn't have to be wasting my vote on candidates like Atiku and/or Buhari, total failures they are and they have shown that over and again. However as it is now we have to decide between the two, we essentially run a two party system in Nigeria, Moghalu is just like an independent candidate in the US, winning is impossible.

Down to the points he raised, it is nonsensical that our president actually said that he makes appointments based on the people ' he trusts'. No no no, merit is not in his dictionary, only trust. At the end of the day you can only trust people you know and have worked with and that at the end of the day means we sacrifice merit on the altar of tribalism and all what not. OK let's say you appoint your ministers based on the people you trust I may not argue, but agencies, civil service and the military have a genuine structure that self-elects the top officials of such agencies based on years of outstanding performance and meritorious service. Why will you come in and bypass military personnel with proven track records just because you want to appoint who you trust, not because they are functioning well but because you trust that they will never stand against you. That is the sorry state of our country now.

Then I would say that the moderator isn't exactly intelligent. Moghalu mentioned that one of the chief causes of insecurity is lack of proper security at the boarders and somehow she brought him back to the fact that our problems are inborn. OK I want to ask if you decide to start shouting in your room from today till tomorrow what will change? But when you have access to the sophisticated weapons that these terrorists have then or is either it was imported or our military structure has been totally compromised. In America you can track the owner of a gun, makes it totally easy to limit crime. But here we don't know how they come about these guns, the first step has to be to secure our boarders, nothing illegal comes in then if they still have access to these weapons then we will know that the military is the problem and then tackle that one.

Finally this present fight against corruption is a scam, a major scam. Now let me ask you, if you earn 30k a month and you have a nasal issue, say nasal polyps and the surgery required would cost nothing less than 300k in a standard private hospital and you already know that there is absolutely no health insurance for you, if, say you work in a scholarship board, and someone comes to you in that period with a bribe of 300k wouldn't you collect it? I personally wouldn't but if you collect it then you have absolutely every right to. How can you be fighting corruption when the common man doesn't have access to three square meals a day? Stealing and corruption then becomes a necessity to survive. Corruption can only be defeated in a well developed economy, you can't leave the standard of living of the people and then start fighting corruption it is a total scam.

Like I said in a standard society, the main flag bearers should be guys like Moghalu, Peter Obi and Osibanjo and the fact that we have to be choosing between Buhari and Atiku shoes where we will remain in four years time

I take side with you...
we can host these tourney and it won't be a disaster...
my only fear is corruption and mass looting on the part of political office holders...

you know how many billions were budgeted and used for stadium renovation prior the under 17 world cup we hosted...and the EFCC and ICPC raid afterwards

even back in the university...I remember my school UNIBEN hosted NUGA at a time...and afterwards there was ICPC raid of the school management...
3 Billion we had the management received for that tourney...but there was no trace to it proper usage...

recently I saw Covenant University football pitch.

bro that pitch is way better than many football stadia we currently have in Nigeria...and to know that the Management built it with just 500M naira speaks volume...
the stadia looks like one of the English stadia I see on TV...not a bad one @all.

but to build such or renovate same in Ben public sector.. will take billions and they won't be trace of good work done
Exactly. This is the only problem I would have with it because most of these politicians will budget enough money to tear down the stadiums and start from the scratch but they will only use 10% of the budget on the stadiums and the rest straight to their pocket. The corruption involved and the looting are the only reasons why I wouldn't want it here

It will be a race against time and huge financial outlay to get all the Stadia ready in 6 months.

Abuja is not ready.

Uyo would definitely need some repairs .

Enyimba was recently renovated but is it not astroturf?

Then PH and Delta are in no state to host international competitions.

Let us not forget, most of these stadiums are hosting rallies right now. Those events damage stadium facilities.
There is absolutely no stadium that wouldn't need repairs to host a major tournament. The Enyimba stadium if I remember correctly is a hybrid, you can't exactly grade it as an AstroTurf so it definitely can serve.

Then you have finally come down to where I was expecting you to get to, the condition of the State as a whole. The truth there is that the fans won't be moving about the entire state they would have a confirmed area that they'd live in and stuffs. You are making it sound like some of these States didn't host the U17 10 years ago, the road networks are still there(maybe they'd need a little repair in some States), it could still work perfectly. It is not as if Egypt won't need to run some repairs too to make it work

I have been to Enyimba and Uyo stadiums, I didn't really see anything wrong with them,in fantastic condition by the way, as at two months ago I don't know if this Super 8 has laid waste to the Aba Township Stadium sha. And yes the other stadia that I have heard of have at least standard dressing rooms and things like this but some do have poor pitches, I am not sure that that cannot be sorted out within six months.

After renovation of MMA 1, we still had leaking roofs. Similar things happened in PH and Enugu.

The problem is not even with renovation. It is the lack of maintenance culture.

How can players from the and that did not qualify for World Cup, make a list of 'FIFPro XI'?

How can Onyango make the list in a World Cup year?

How can Mahrez make best XI? Where was he when Nigeria ousted his Algeria from the World Cup?

What did Bailly do the entire year to put him on any best XI list?

What did Hakim do to beat Ndidi in Youth Player? Abi because he has 'Real Madrid' attached to his profile? Game for game, how was he better?

Even people wey chop bench most of last year for their clubs follow join for their Crap XI.

Instead of some discerning minds to see this scam just for the joke it really is, they as usual, would rather use the opportunity to clown Nigerian players.

I don't even think Nigerian players are all that, but for them to be left out, we should know on what grounds the others made the list.

How can a CAF award be done in a World Cup year and the world cup participation was all but overlooked just so Ahmad can come up with this oluwole list?

CAF awards seems the only award that regularly defies logic in its choices, there is no defined criteria, a bunch of clowns will just sit down somewhere and pull random names out of a hat and we're all just supposed to swallow it because they attacked CAF to it.
Hakimi has been one of the(if not the) best fullbacks in the Bundesliga this season, let's say it is recency bias. Besides Ndidi has been playing professional football for over 5 years I don't know why he was even nominated for that spot if I was him I wouldn't accept it and if I am to vote I wouldn't vote for him, Hakimi made his debut either this year or late last year for Madrid, fast forward 12 months later and he is a sure starter at Dortmund, I would vote for him myself.

I however agree with everything else you said. Not sure what Bailey is doing there but let us be honest apart from Ndidi(who was definitely nor better than that Ghanian boy that is keeping him out of that team) none of our players deserve to even be on the bench of that team

BascoVanVeli:
Origi didn't do anything apart from that goal and u know it. I agree that I blamed his teammates for bad service but what do u know the coach also felt the exact same way and gave that same analysis.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11712/11579915/kelechi-iheanacho-needs-better-service-from-leicester-team-mates-says-claude-puel

Puel says Iheanacho, who joined Leicester from Manchester City for £25m in August 2017, is making the right runs and showing good movement in attack but needs better service from the midfield to help him score goals.

"I think in his last game he was available between defenders a lot and he made many good runs behind the opponents' line without receiving good service," Puel said.

"We need to improve our play between the attacking players and the midfield, to give a good pass in the right moment.

"For an attacking player or striker they need good service. We can improve in this and we have progress to make."
I believe we are talking about his last match. That comment was made long ago, definitely before the game against Chelsea because you posted it then too, let's bring it back to where we was.

Now back to Origi he kept on making runs, at some point he was the one connecting the midfield to Sturridge in front of him and when that didn't work he created a goal virtually out of nothing, that is you taking your chances.

Very good suggestion cool
The conversation is getting seriously annoying. Offensive setup everyday, I am not certain of the stats but I know that Leicester are among the top 8 scoring teams in the league, below probably Bournemouth and Watford yet our guy has not scored up to 5 goals, the people scoring are they in another system? The sane agricultural midfielders supplied that killer pass for Vardy against Chelsea.

BascoVanVeli point is factual and has no basis of sentiments in it. Dropping key players will affect the performances of other players. It is clearly logical and devoid of sentiments.

Finito.
I hope you watched Origi today, Liverpool's midfield was disastrous, hardly created any good chance yet he covered himself in glory, that is the definition of a fringe player taking his chances. Yesterday was supposed to be Iheanacho's chance to shine, to take the initiate and force his way back into reckoning and now we are blaming his teammates. First it was Leicester, then we blamed Puel(despite the fact that Leicester may just finish 7th and qualify for the Europa all things being equal) and now we are blaming his teammates, next it will be the bus driver that conveyed them to the stadium, from there we will blame the mascot for dancing too much, then we will blame the fans for not composing a song for him and blah blah blah
