DanDeeBoss:Lol no need, you were just saying the truth. Its not our fault, we should just do our best |
Ndi nsukka will arrive here to complain in 3...2...1.... |
Cherrybae:but why are you so passionate about it, if i may ask? Its rare for a female Does it make any difference to you? or maybe you work for them |
DanDeeBoss:Lol, i wanted to make a comment on how long it would take but i didnt want to sound pessimistic, so i went for a harmless platitude. But I guess youre more cynical than i am ![]() |
DanDeeBoss:Yes, i would say its a mixture of poor leadership, a culture of self-interest and greed, and an unstable economy. The economy point is an interesting one, because it crashed fairly recently but the bad behaviour was there previously. so it could be even more of an intrinsic problem Onwards and upwards |
Let the best man win He has a pretty wife. But his voice drives me nuts. Does he have a sinus problem? it is said that he used violence to chase Amaechi out in 2015, so he is being chased out the same way. And no job unless you are ikwerre It is also said that Amaechi was utterly terrible during his second term They should do and declare a winner so rivers citizens will relax But with all the ethnic groups in Rivers, shouldnt they have a zoning arrangement? So they wont complain about Ikwerre, ikwerre, all the time |
DanDeeBoss:Life in general favours the wealthy or middle class, but societies that pride themselves on being refined put contingency measures in place to look after those who are less fortunate- or at least keep them alive, with food and shelter Thats why its important that you mentioned infrastructure since basically all the problems we are facing right now are due to shoddy, outdated and corrupt social structures that cannot serve the people they were created for I remember last year when "restructuring" was the watch-word. It was a good idea, but it petered out. That and "true federalism" |
Elvis778:Yeah i agree with you. He seems like a genuine person but i just think he should do more |
Honey dripping onto wealth |
Jiang:hahahaha something is wrong with you |
Sorry dear. Maybe he should have moved with MOPOL like his counterparts in PH |
Gkemz:Lol ![]() |
DanDeeBoss:Infrastructure could be improved, life expectancy is terrible (but class-based), its comfortable if you have the money, employment is based too much on connections, but if one can get a decent job it removes other obstacles |
Let me try in Nigeria -more secure extended family networks -less emasculation of the male child- though we overdo it sometimes -cheap (if wages were not stagnating at the rate at which they are) and organic food -almost no chance of a child being affected by gay/transgender agenda except for anomalies like bobrisky -lower incidences of mental illness- resilience and a generally positive outlook on life What i notice is that upper-middle class elites usually combine the 2- that is to live and bring children up in nigeria (thus retaining the traditional aspect of family life, being free from racism, retaining culture) and travelling for the holidays (letting everyone cool off and have fun abroad, have different experiences, bla bla). A good example of this is the much-maligned Yusuf Buhari. He came back to reap the benefits of being (an albeit, very privileged) nigerian. If its 100% bad, what is he doing here? In some other countries which are even worse, even the head of states child runs for his or her life people who travel abroad to stay and live there tend to be solid/technical middle classes who are being short-changed by the government/cheated of the normal existences they are supposed to have (teachers, academics, nurses, doctors) and who leave out of desperation. I remember reading somewhere that a sign of a stable democracy is a thriving middle class Nigeria rocks increasingly between 2 extremes: people barely eating even once a day and people with gigantic houses, 4 or 5 cars and the res Remember in those days, Nigerians would only travel abroad for their studies and maybe work for a while. Then they would come straight back. It was the ensuing economic chaos of the 1980s (or 90s? somebody correct me) that widened the gap in quality of life between the west and the east and that sent our middle class packing in droves Its better to flit in between the two, rather than stay put in either one |
uuzba:So you advocate beating like the other guy? |
tesppidd:emm. Pampering. but just because beating and divorce are two extremes. actually i prefer to just discuss it as adults so that i'll know how to change. but if i dont listen you can report me to my mom...i think that would make me jump out of my skin ![]() |
Misslagbaja:Modified: I misspoke, excuse me |
tesppidd:Ok. yes I understand you now but the beating is just somehow. wouldnt you feel like a monster. every time you make a sudden movement, she will flinch. and your children will be messed up is that one a marriage |
. |
tesppidd:I understand your point but you seem to be advocating for reporting to parents as a last resort, when other options have been exhausted Not flying off the handle and beating shades of red out her every time she offends But what would you do? Im interested in your answer |
femi4:Even that one is better |
adedehinbo:what an oxymoron, how can one be a christian terrorist |
lagdmark:he should have blocked the signal..no need to turn yourself and your family to an international disgrace |
tesppidd:what happened to scolding her when she behaves badly? Or whenever anyone behave badly, for that matter? |
sammirano:I watched a news report on it yesterday but i cant remember the details. Maybe the programming was overzealous and kicked in inappropriately Someone said that they moved the engine towards the back and this made the front tip upwards, so they brought in this programme to correct it Pilots complained before but there was some kind of cover-up. People have tried to blame the Ethiopian fellow but another pilot from the same airline came forward and said that they were not provided with extra training by Boeing Probably partly a training issue since US pilots have been working around it. More difficult in other countries especially in the third world A shame all round. |
tesppidd:Lol, so the choice is between reporting her to her parents or beating her to a pulp? frying pan to fire |
they chop but left stains around their mouths...better luck next time.. corper wee |
sammirano:it was trying to preempt stalling because the plane had a tendency to tilt upwards It was possible to override the programme but Boeing did not tell the pilots that they needed extra training, also the override may take too long to implement when the plane is already crashing |
Bad software with no training |
zinizta:there was a wrong information making the rounds when they first wed that she was ethiopian but the edo state government came out and corrected it |
Psoul:an interesting analysis, but it depends on your perspective A cross is, by modern standards, a symbol of hope and redemption being given from the ground is a neutral statement. or dont human beings come from the ground? it could be seen to mean having a good root or stable family background. or maybe his ancestor was a successful farmer who was grateful to the goddess Ani for a good provision. "Ani has brought forth... " i feel you are just being morbid |
femi4:Water from a miraculous spring that emerged when Hajar (Hagar) and Ismail (Ishmael) were dying of thirst in the desert Muslims consider it sacred and at times travel there specifically to drink it The source has been found to have been contaminated, with high levels of arsenic and nitrate Saudi govt allows people to take small amounts but not to sell or export it People purporting to have it in abundance, whether selling the real or fake, are potentially selling carcinogenic water to thousands of people |
