My brother, using of Musical Instruments is haram in Islam.
As you've rightly said in one of your comments, during the time of the Prophet, occasionally, drums were beaten.
But pls, there's a condition to the drum. The drum that's allowed (as a Musical instrument) was Duf. This kind of drum produces only one sound as opposed to others. I don't know if it has a name for it here in Nigeria.

Pls for God's sake, try to check for this in Sahih Muslim and Sahih Bukhari.
