SonofElElyonRet:There is no disclosure of the specific amount or volume the directors/shareholder debt-equity-conversion |
Ifeanyifrans:Lagos is always good for business. But you consider the following befpre you make your final decision: i. accommodation/where to stay in Lagos ii. the rent and location of your shop in Lagos iii. transport to/fro work iv. can you diversify and still keep some of your business running in Enugu as a back up, just in case? v. how long can your savings or capital sustain you in Lagos? vi. Is your partner/wife working in Enugu and she relocate and join you after some time vii. the kids education etc. viii. do you have reliable relatives or friends that can support you while you find your footing in Lagos? |
emmanuelewumi:Confirmed. Ellah Lakes raising N250b in new capital EGM on Friday 25/July/2025 Debt-to-equity conversion of directors/shareholders loans Source: The Guardian Friday Jun 27, 2025 (page 26) |
megawealth01:Oando fall your hand? ![]() Na so we see am oo! But you na well experienced and highly fortified gamer! Oando's shenanigans cannot shake you! |
ALISMILE:Is gayism new? Sodom and Gommorah existed long before now. You people are so blinded by your jealousy and hatred of the Jews/Israelis that you wish they never existed on the face of the earth, so much that you have vowed to wipe them off the earth. But it is all futile. God has not changed His word or mind, and you cannot change it for Him! The land of Israel is God's! |
Dogalmighty17:There is nothing that gonna happen! It is fire and will be put out. Even US, Canada, Australia etc experience fire outbreak. If your Iran tries any nonsense, they will collect serious wotowoto! |
EDUECO:The young shall definitely grow. Everyone here was once a newbie at a time but we learn along the way. My advice: seek knowledge, read and listen to business reports(especially about the listed companies), be patient, think long term, start with funds you can afford to invest for a long term, start with stocks that pay good dividends or with high prospects for capital gains, avoid loans/borrowing to invest as a newbie, watch out for new developments in companies, monitor govt economic policies that impact the operations of the companies etc. |
EDUECO:Lol. .Fair comment. My post is not meant to recommend any stocks to anyone to buy. It was just a reference to how people can change their opinions about issues/persons based on the ''weather'' at the moment. It is a market, and there is always something for everyone. One man's meat, another's poison. DYOR. All those who may have ''mediocre stocks'' can sell off immediately; those who know ''expert stocks'' can hold or buy more! Shikena! Matter don finish! |
EDUECO:Lol. ![]() There was a period Oando was consistently paying dividend of N2 - N4 per share between 2001-2011. The same Wale was the CEO and nobody said anything against him. When things are not very good, it is ''normal'' for people to come up with various conspiracy theories. Not a buy or sell advice. DYOR. Sell off completely if you are not convinced or don't believe in any stocks, whatsoever, including Oando or any other stocks. It is a market. People sell, people buy. |
naturalflow:Q1 sales are usually relatively low for most companies, especially if Q1 falls in Jan-Mar. Most companies usually push their sales aggressively in Q2 to Q4 (especially those with Jan-Dec financial cycle) ahead end-of-year demand peak period and the Christmas/new year holiday breaks that follow then makes Q1 sales (Jan-Mar) to be a bit relaxed. I am not sure what actually happened in the case of Oando, but remember that oil price fluctuates and period of the year or weather also affects the pattern of demand for oil. |
yMcy56:Okay, thanks for the correction. All eyes on Oando. We move |
otokx:I am not sure. Let's wait and see at end of trade |
GeneralDae:Oando was already selling at about same price range (N62-N63) before the results were released, so why taking profit at virtually the same price range after the results were announced? |
megawealth01:Yes oooo. Oando is on full red! ![]() May be the market has got some news that we do not know yet. Or it is because of the Q1 2025 results? |
Mirasteel:Silly talk? Where was the Ayatollah hiding? PM Netanyahu was going around granting interviews, inspecting and visiting victims in Israel, while the coward Ayatollah never came out but was hiding in his bunker all through |
BabsO2:The same number of shares (648m) will be distributed twice. But if tranche 1 (Feb14) is in ratio 1:12, then it is mathematically doubtful that tranche 2 (Jun30) will maintain the same ratio because there will be a rise (increase) in the denominator after the distribution of shares for tranche 1. Unless they mean that the units of shares distributed in tranche 1 would not qualify for consideration in tranche 2 (Jun30) i.e. shares traded between Feb 15 and Jun29 will not benefit in tranche 2, and the shareholdings as at tranche1 (Feb14) will be used for tranche2 (Jun30). |
PapalsBull:US did not help Israel in the war with Iran US only bombed the nuclear sites which the whole world and IAEA have been complaining about. As per the real war, US did not bomb or kill any Iranian military general or military installations or the air defence systems. Israel did all that by themselves but they did not have the kind of bombs to destroy the nuclear site at Fordow which is buried inside a mountain. The other sites at Isfahan and Natanz were already bombed and destroyed by Israel and they also killed the Iranian generals |
OriOko88:Israeli PM Netanyahu has said it openly and repeatedly that if anyone (Iran) tries to rebuild any of the facilities at the nuclear or ballistic missiles, Israeli will respond with the same force and destroy them with bombs. Israel has neutralized and captured the airspace of Iran so they have surveillance over the whole of Iran and will bomb any movement of weapons or nuclear facilities henceforth. |
Father4all:Diplomacy scoping. Do you expect him to attack Iran again after hitting them so hard? Do you expect him to talk about the almost 1000 people that died in Iran or the airports and military installations destroyed by Israel? He wants to sound neutral |
God1000:Why are people being this easy to manipulate? Iran as a democratic nation is allowing the media to show damage to buildings in the war. Is Iran allowing anyone to show anything? Can you also show us pictures from Iran too? |
Locotrader:You get it. That is why, sometimes, it is good to look for undervalued stocks (even though with struggling fundamentals) so one can buy huge volumes and wait for the turnaround and make billions. Recent examples in the last 1-2 years include: Honey Well, IB, Livestock, Ikeja Hotels and even Oando |
megawealth01:No, I did t not. I also missed NB and Universal Ins But I appreciate and follow all your picks and advice. I am looking for cash to enter Access Bank like no be today! |
opaclem:Okay, thanks for the clarity |
megawealth01:Great! Your positive personality radiates even through this online platform. Always cool, calm and focused!. Just continue helping folks here with your hints and picks on good stocks. We too, we want to be ''megawealth'', even if its ''megaiwealth1000''! Kudos! |
Agbalowomeri:Why would something that had been fully provided for and written off re-appear again in the books?. Let us remember that there are various stakeholders that will peruse the books as well. The auditors, workers, directors, creditors, SEC officers, NUPRC officer etc. are also ''shareholders'' in one form or another. NSEMPA members are not the only shareholders ooo |
Omooloriredade:The pipeline vandalism was reported, especially during the Fubara-Wike crisis in Rivers State. |
megawealth01:Yes, but this is a one-off event and does not happen every year. It means that profit could have been increased by a whopping N311bn if not for that one-off event. Again, administrative expenses (one of Oando's biggest problems) has been reduced by 46%. If this trend is sustained, then the positive effect will be huge going forward. |
Agbalowomeri:Have you considered what would have been the final result if there had been no Other Operating Loss of N301b mostly due to ''fair value loss on modification of financial assets'' of N311b, which is usually a one-off event and not related to core operation? |
cyberbro:They have been doing these robbery, criminal acts etc. in Ghana for some time now. And when the citizens starts venting their anger and frustrations, some idiots and fools will come out and say that Ghanaians hate Nigerians due to jealousy (sic). Some shameless idiots will leave their country and go misbehave in another man's country! |
megawealth01:The shareholders will definitely benefit because only a stronger company e.g. Seplat or a foreign company can acquire Oando and the value per share cannot be less than N200 (going by Oando' oil reserves). |
megawealth01:Oando cannot and will not be liquidated. The worst case would be a merger or acquisition by another upstream oil company. |
Calebbold:Lol! . Haba! Profit na profit abeg! You people no go kee Oando! Profit must always come from somewhere. And loss must always come from somewhere! As long as the profit is coming consistently, I don't mind where it is coming from. You can also see that the Operating Loss of (N301b) is coming from ''fair value loss on modification of financial assets'' of N311b,which is a one-time event and not due to core operations. In other words, the core performance/bottom line would have improved by N311b if not for the ''fair value loss on modification of financial assets''. |

this is the home and uncomfortable truth his supporters don't want to ever hear or admit.
