dplordx:
The real truth is, the UK is designed such in a way that if you are not earning up to 20k to 30k pounds annually, and how on earth will a student ever make that kind of money--well unless you do your Yahoo! wella but FYI, FBI now works with Scotland Yard, or else you will suffer like there is no tomorrow. I dont mean you will suffer like you are in Nigeria, over here no one will feed you, you will starve, and forget all those benefits they are shouting about, its not for you, its for their own citizens, so to be truthful, if you are not careful, you will just be another guy abroad suffering more than even the people living in your own African village. On monthly basis, for a single person you will need as little as 1,500 GBP to take care of housing, food, utilities and others. 1,500 GPB is the least, I mean, we are talking extreme austerity survival here where you are barely surviving and may die of heart attack if you lost 1 pound of your monthly expenses! Don't even think of anyone giving you 1 pound to support you, na you and harsh reality. I spent over 1 year in 2018 there, I was there again last year, inflation is killing the immigrants who had fled there.
There are more people now, lesser housing, less jobs --- meaning lesser wages and higher cost of living. There are far better countries than the UK: Turkey, France, Sweden, Spain, even Norway or giving visas with far greater benefits. See that UK was built by Ijebu people, they designed it to give you only oxygen, while stripping every other benefits away from you. Forget living in Manchester or Leeds, with the insane inflow of refugees from Syria, Algeria, Ukraine and others, cost of living has gone over the roof. Plan well before you japa. I am happily here in Naija, hustling and doing, I am going to be going on vacation to any of these countries by God's grace -- I am tired of seeing on blacks doing cleaners, on farms, doing security guards, and the ones you see in every European downtown begging you for 5 euros because they are dying of hunger. You are free to insult me as well. Your eyes go clear
What about Netherland boss. I am planning on relocating end of the year or early next year and I'm considering other European countries and ones that won't be so expensive but easier. Don't want to go to the UK and start regretting

Okay.

We want to learn.

My honest and one simple advice to all and every on here is, if you can afford it, please, make your way out and go seek a better life for you and your family.

It isn't your fault that demons have decided to take over the country and ironically, while they take charge here, they have their kids tucked away in foreign lands giving them the best and grooming them to come back to rule you and your future kids. It is a vicious cycle.

Find your way out. When dem ready to repair this country, make dem bring their kids back make all of us do am together.

No matter how rough the UK is right now, it is still better than the farm here. I am even happy for all Nigerians to move and go Nigerianize the UK make dem reap bountifully from their farm produce in a karmaic way.

Make your move legally and launch your final push to wherever you want to end up.

For all of you shouting Emilokan, Athiefkulate, Obidatti, a very friendly and brotherly advice, make una lower una expectations.

This current administration will look like Obama's administration by the time the next one come on board.

No be curse or pessimism.

You just can't build on a zero foundation and expect it to stand.

This is sinking sand.
The gospel truth

pansophist:
Too big that everything is so far (only the province of Ontario is bigger than Nigeria but has less population than Lagos). None-existent bike paths/culture and cities are built for cars and not for pedestrians.

Huge shopping malls everywhere, that one can only visit by car. Shopping was more of a chore you planned due to lack of small family owned supermarkets and shops inside your streets. Anyone that have been to Brussels, London or Amsterdam will understand this. There are streets that cars are banned so people/cyclist can thrive.

Too segregated, and people hardly mix, too cold. Culture too americanized (no such thing as an organic Canadian culture), is too far from Africa and Europe, and too expensive to live in, to list a few.

I am not an economic immigrant, I just wanted a change in environment and was exploring Canada by visiting it, but when I was there, it was like bleh, I can't live here. Even Vancouver that is considered the warmest rains a lot. Made me appreciate Europe even better.

For example, I can be in any corner of the over 40 European countries via flight, which is really cheap. But it's not the same in North America. Europe is well built and connected, and trains leaves to other European capitals from your city.

In Europe, it's common for people to live in Belgium and work in Netherlands, or live in Finland and work in Sweden. You won't even notice that you've crossed into another country except that your phone starts sending message that you're roaming and perhaps, different language in road signs.

Also European weather is diversed. If you like winter, Scandinavia is there, or hot weather, then Portugal/Cyprus/malta/Italy/Spain are there. If you like wind and rain, Ireland and Netherlands will give you that. There is something for you.

In Europe, cultures are organic. if you drive just two hours from Poznan (Poland) to Berlin (Germany), the language, currency, culture, architecture, and everything look different. True diversity is organic, rich, and distinct.

Canada is too soulless, artificial, and the centuries old mega structures are nonexistent. Why do you think American filmmakers go to Europe to shoot movies that requires old European architecture? Canada is a newly built country.

And also, as a business person, population density is really important to me. Canada is bigger than the whole 27 EU countries twice, but the EU has about 460 Million people, compare with Canada which is about 35 million.

So if you need a huge population base to sell stuff to, Europe is better, and I am not even adding the population of Ad-hoc European countries that surrounds the EU (e.g Turkey, Serbia, Russia, etc).

And for families, the EU is better. Free education, free healthcare, generous social services, and long maternity/paternity leave. The student debt common in North America is not a thing in Europe. I once had an American classmate that owes 70k USD in student loans, and I felt sorry for her. A young adult starting life as a debtor is such a shame.

And oh, people are fatter there. It's because the food laws are not as strong as in Europe, and the walking and biking infrastructure is just not a thing. As a tourist, I felt immobilized that I can't just use public transport, unless I have a car, or use uber. So people do not walk/bike a lot, which is exercise.

And especially Canada is a hotbed for wokism, its like all the homos, radical feminists, masculine women, and feminine men moved there lol, as in, I just feel like punching people for no reason lol, just kidding grin

So there you go, that's my assessment of Canada when I was there. But hey, it's my opinion, and should not be taken as gospel. What is good for Ada might be bad for Adamu, so be guided.
Thank you so much for this. Personnally I've always preffered moving to a EU state and after stabilizing there move to either the US or Uk but not to stay but work there. I have always admired Netherland and as a child dreamt of living there due to stories I heard. I got someone last year, an agent, and I was about to do Luxemburg. I'm only going to move via school and work and after I'm done by God's grace I might stay back, move to a better country or invest better in my businesses here.

Hello nlanders,
Please I need the honest opinion especially from those in any of these countries. Which of them is better to relocate to considering academics fee, entry, culture and settling in after the programme (or are there any other options). A little bit about me I have worked in Nigeria private and government sector for the past 7 years combined, have had several startups here but none could really survive the economy and also I am in no current relationship so I do not want to go to a hostile place and end up wishing I stuck to my government job. I need the honest opinions as I have tried others in the past but stopped due to better opportunities that arised here but right now eh even if it is not for me at least my unborn kids deserve a better life.

Hi guys. I need your comment and advice on this matte.

I got to know this girl from a friend back in July.
She's a 23 year old final year LLB student and I'm 27 years old Lab Scientist.

We got talking at first and I began to develop interest in her.
She's calm, cool headed and has never even bothered me with any financial needs (which I'm still stunned about, very unlikely of Port Harcourt girls).

I'm very selective of girls but found this one to be very decent and maybe different.
I have plans of taking things serious with her.

We've gone out in a date at a bar once and it was all shades of amazing, there we shared our first kiss.

Just recently, on Sunday, a friend celebrated his birthday at a night club here in PH (411). I thought to invite this babe, she was pleased and accepted the invite.

We got there, ate, drank and it was dancing time with the DJ and hypeman.
We danced and she was wild on the dance floor with me. I was quite surprised but kept my cool because of the atmosphere.

The next shock happened, one of the big boys began throwing money up in the air, minted ₦100 & 200 notes and this babe legit left me and began picking money on the ground.

I brought her close, but she would let go and kept fighting with the crowd for the cash, she was almost trampled on.
For more than 15 minutes, I watched her picking.
I was quite embarrassed.

Shortly after, we left and I dropped her off.

I've not been the same again since then, I've struggled with myself to communicate with her unlike before.

I know money is important, but is that a bad sign?
Is this a red flag?
Should I ignore her actions and forge ahead?
I'm really confused.
If na me follow you go that club I go waka leave you go pick the money sha o grin

Here in the university, I shake my head repeatedly when I see some girls' lifestyles. You know why? It's one unfortunate man that'll finally marry them.

Imagine a girl that used her püssy to sponsor her education saying "I want a God fearing and responsible man."

A girl that is being passed around for s*x in her neighborhood will be saying "You're not my type."

Before marrying a lady, I'll tell her family "If I marry your daughter and discover she's not 'intact', I'm collecting back the bride price paid."

RomanceRe: "Make Money And Women Will Come" (This Is A Bad Advice) by millstone(m): 2:42pm On Dec 08, 2022
Kipaji:
"Make Money and Women Will Come"

Society and women tell this to men who are unsuccessful in dating to give them some hope. The idea is that they should not worry, they should just work harder and generate wealth. When they get money women will beg them to be their girlfriends and wives.

But, if women will come when you make the money, have you ever wondered where they are now? Let's assume that they will effectively be with you later, after you become rich. OK now, in the meantime, who are they with? Are they sitting at home, chastely waiting for you to make money? Are they working on themselves while preserving their purity to deserve you when you finally make it?

No. Where are they then? They are with other guys they judge worthy of their youth and freshness. And you are not on the list. So, you have to wait. And to not let you hanging, they give you the task to accumulate the wealth they will enjoy after the other guys have enjoyed their bodies.

See, that advice (make money and women will come) would be apt if, after becoming rich, the women that will come are virgins. But, they are not. Who took their virginity then? A guy who was just as broke you were when girls and society told you to make money first. This advice is thus hypocritical... but also dangerous.

Many young men unsuccessful in dating will follow this advice. They will work very hard at school, at work, and in life to finally be able to attract women (among other reasons.) Eventually many of them make it. After all these painful years of work, it is high time to harvest the rewards: money, respect, security, stability, confidence, wisdom, -oh and, what did they say will come with financial success again? Ah yes, women! But, as they look left and right, they realize that most women are damaged beyond repair, many are single mothers, and virtually none of them are pure. And when they understand that the guys who took these women purity where in the very same state they thought they had to grow from to attract them, these men become bitter. They feel scammed. And rightly so. Unfortunately, this frustration can lead to hatred and violence. And this is not good for men themselves and society as a whole.

This is one of the reasons why a man should not succeed for women. Succeed for you and your legacy first and foremost. And when you do succeed, be ruthless in your selection of women.

When dealing with women, never lean on your money. That is dehumanizing as money is an object and, more importantly, it is external to you -- you are not your money. Money can come and go, but your inner strength and masculinity stays. And keep in mind that no amount of money entitles you to a woman's body. No amount of money protects you from the games women play. No amount of money can compensate for lack of attraction.

Men and women should stop giving this advice to our sons. We must encourage them by all means to generate wealth and succeed in life. But let's not fool them with "women will come", without telling them the full story. As these men are busy building, most women are busy fvcking.
Man I could kiss you for this, no homo lol grin. I will also add that as a man it also takes longer to build wealth so let's say you finally get your big break at the age of 30-35 it's best to settle for younger ladies between 18-23. You can meet them young and build something meaningful with them. Better chances of meeting them as virgins or better you won't be settling with someone who lots of guys both broke, rich, yahoo and others have passed around

CultureGeneration Z For Generation Zombie by millstone(op): 8:37am On May 26, 2022
My daily routine after waking up and my morning affirmations involve taking the morning bus/cab or drive to work. I do not enjoy it but know I have to in order to put food on my table and pay my bills. It's part of the daily hustle. However looking at some of my peers and the upcoming generation/yoot it further proves that this country is finished. I turn on my tinder app and there are babes shaking their ass and boobs, hookup they write and all you need is one phone call and negotiate minimum 8k to 10k for short (if she's being generous) or 15k to 20k for the drop dead gorgeous ones. Then if you want her company for the night she could charge you as high as 25k to 50k cheesy
Now I'm not claiming saint not at all. I've had my fair share of them. A night of booze and weed with my guys or in my room, I get Hot and Tinder , inmessage, facebook, twitter and instagram is there for me. All I have to do is find my spec, message, drop location and she's at my door already. However as Eleanor Roosevelt said "Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself.” I've had my scares and I've seen promising peeps around me crumble from their mistakes. I'm battling my demons and have to pick myself up not just for myself but loved ones and family. Then I look around and see a lot of ladies coming into the hookup business and some getting out dead, some disappears, and some can never get out and end up in brothels where they take 1k for a Bleep. You swipe your tinder page and you see hookup after hookup, pretty girls after pretty girls (from good homes where their family aint lacking) putting their bodies and faces online waiting for the highest bidder. Then they go online and Soro soke, what a joke. Recently I had a relationship with a single mom and when I saw her daughter picture, how she dress her up like those girls that stands at Agip junction front of Stella Obasanjo hospital and Ihama road, I weep for our generation Zombie. We are loosing mothers, sisters, wives, daughters to peer pressure. Our girls now want to live La Vida Loca and damning the consequences. Yes the men are to blame but try talking out an illeterate bricklayer from using his 1k to "cure his Konji". As Prof Cyrille once said "It is not the action that matters, it is the consequences of your actions". We seriously need to curb this social menance else our society and culture is doomed.

SportsIn Defence Of Angel Di Maria by millstone(op): 3:27pm On May 30, 2015
Di Maria did not have the kind of season we all expected. Towards the end of the season he was slow, looked tired, lacked the drive we all knew him for and lacked goals. But Di Maria was never a goal scoring machine in Real Madrid,he had 124 Appearances with 22 goals in 4 seasons, for Benfica he had 76 App and 7 goals for 3 seasons, Rossario Central he had 36 App and 6 goals. But he gave assist as he did in his 1st season with Manchester United and if they let him go it will be a big mistake. Depay is a promising talent but still has to prove himself on the big stage, Maria has done that. During the world cup campaign his absence in the last 2 Argentina matches was felt. They lacked the pace and Messi and Aguero had to struggle to get the ball. When they played Germany in a friendly there was a difference. Di Maria has struggled not because he does'nt understand the Premier league which to me is over-hyped but because of injuries, bad team play from the midfielders and his home incident.(If the PL was as good as it is made to be why has it struggled in the UEFA Competitions and Lionel Messi has wiped all big teams from Man-U to Man City)Di Maria is an agile, creative, and highly technical player, who possesses excellent dribbling skills and ball control, as well as great pace, stamina, and acceleration, attributes which allow him to beat players easily in one on one situations..
I believe next season with United playing in the UEFA league and hopefully the transfer of some good players in and letting go of the excess baggage, Di Maria will have his United moment.
