these jobless fools. As an American Nigerian we learn integrity, we learn that we are accountable for our acts as young as grade school when you can be sent to detention for being bad.We learn not to use religion as a crutch, we learn that nothing comes easy and that you must work hard to achieve your dreams-especially the american dream, and also you must follow all societal rules or be imprisoned- and as our african parents tell us-they will not bail you out. So in my opinion i will rather raise my kids in america with its ethics and with african mentality and cultural values. See people with logs in their eyes trying to remove the tint in others.

bashr8: i guess that why ogun is worse than where it was before OBJ became president yet u have the boldness to even put mouth in this discusion , u get mind shaa
See what am saying, aturu like you forget that those states are part of Nigeria, so as a nigerian I have a say in what happens in my homeland. This is the problem with nigeria with people getting tribal about everything. Granted my father is a yorubaman, but my mother is an igbo woman. And as you know in igboland you cannot hurt me, because thats is my mothers land and i can say whatever i want, because i am not an outsider, even if you say i am, am a protected one. If you feel there things needed to be fixed in ogun, okay please name them and make recommendations on how to solve it, dont just talk half hazardously, like someone without sense. Secondly I help my mother with her medical runs every other summer to help better your life, and provide the medical care your governors, nor government have been unable to make available. We visit 10 cities, 4 of which are in igboland, so dont you dare tell me i have no right to comment, i have every right, if not more than you, so sharap there - uza oku di na apko, apko ya nti emechie!! kpacha kwara anya ghi oo!!

omg poster you dont know how many times i have asked that questions to my friends that their fathers and mothers are politician, and its sad that most of these kids are morally bankrupt because most of them ended up answering me, if other men can do it and get away, why should my father's be any less.Lets take the adeleke's and adenuga's whose families have political tentacles. I know everyone wants to say that they made their money the honest way, but i will tell you it is a lie, being that my father was once close friends with the some of them. Look at our youths today if they start screaming for justice and gets handed 500 naira or get promised jobs with the government, they turn on what they are fighting for and start praising the person they are fighting against. They forget that what affect their neighbors will eventually affect them. I feel most nigerians have no moral backbone due to the society and government they grow up in, no mater how much their parents take them to church. Nigerians always using religion as an excuse to be lazy, forgetting that God helps those that helps themselves. I will so jail my father asap, he knows it, that the day i find something incriminating about him, that his own is done and ill visit and bring him food in jail. EVeryone should answer to their crimes, that is why am glad my dad is a doctor and not a politician.

bashr8: dont mind her she don run . let them keep declaring their states so we can keep shaming them. its a pity our fellow igbos dont even realise what is happening. where was elrufai and buhari when the federal government made sure the south east is the only region with no single federal government investment, lowest allocation and least number of states hell even common bridge is taking them decades to consider and when we work hard and build investments for ourselves and even better than theirs they run all around the media writing trash making sure they paint the region a no go area even when their are war thorn regions. its simeple logic if anambra goes down the whole southeast will go with it.
I beg sharap there, "where was rufai and buhari...blah blah" - the question you should be asking was where were your eastern leaders and why did they sale your pride, your allocations for their own personal benefits. When you need someone to blame, start by looking in the mirror and your igbo leaders, because they are the cause of your problems. If they didnt fold their hands and answer "yes sah- what eva you can give us we will take, as long as you oil my hand fest, if you know wharra i mean"(in igbo accent)...Mtcheww.. chetawa kwa egbe bere ugo bere, nke si ibe ya ebena nku kwaa ya na ijiri oso agbakwuru ogu amaghi na ogu bu onwu, - becareful how you defend things you dont know much about oo.. Nightshift: Dude,The Coal City State have better and more schools than Anambra state at the moment. Can you compare schools in Onitsha/Nnewi to the ones at Enugu/Nsukka? The difference is crystal clear. People from Anambra state acquired those academic laurels which they boast of in the 70s and 80s. But since 1990 the dynamic has been changing. I bet you still think that Enugu state is a backward "Wawa State"?They are making incredible progress there.Besides, Enugu is politically more matured than Anambra state. Remember that Mr. Roy Umenyi and Chief Augustine Ezenwa, from areas in the present Anambra state were deputies to Jim and Onoh during the old Anambra state era.You can ask Mr.Ifeanyichukwu Enemchukwu, the then house speaker, what he knows about Enugu peoples political maturity. On the other hand, ofu ka anyi bu,dalu!
funny thing is enugu and anambra are cut from same cloth just like abia and imo state, there is no need to compare who is worst or better for what affects the nose will end up affecting the eye, so my dears the best you can do is to build moral ethical characters as youths and do what is right by fighting for a better government for you and your children's future. truly nightshift you said it right- na mbu ihe unu bu--so chose to be it in ignorance or in advancing your native lands.

see your mentality so you equate development with industries, i feel sorry for you, but dont sleep on cross river, they have some major investors coming to build something great. ANd that is all i have to say for now.

Chale please go sit down there, you dont even know the type of family i come from and what businesses we have open in nigeria to try to help our native land and what we are still trying to invest. I do my best by doing researches for you so u dont ignorantly defend what you dont know. I am proud yet disappointed nigerian. It saddens me that we let fools and thieves tranform our native land into a kleptocracy and its up to us youths to do what we can. I travel with my mother who happens to be a cardiologist to nigeria every other year working with doctors without borders to provide medical care for villagers for three months out of the year, especially in the east, that the likes of peter obi have neglected, and i do it because i care. So please dont tell me i stay abroad doing nothing to help my country because i bet i do more than you, even though i wasnt born there. So before you start feeling froggy look before you jump. my guy dont let tribal sentiments cloud you reasoning. I understand that the igbos more than anyother tribe in nigeria have suffered in their hands of nigeria, but you must admit that bad leaders that igbos picked are those who continue to hurt the development of the igbo land. Like i said, stop defending peter obi, because i know his family personally, especially his inlaws and el rufai said the truth, and its sad that Peter obi tried to turn it tribal to get ignorant igbos like you involved in rantings like this. Sometimes a stranger can see the truth we refuse to see because of our loyalty. What you should be doing is writing to your governors to improve igboland, so that they can have pride in defending it against such critics. Now for those saying Peter brought this refinery and that, have you people looked at the documents of ownership of the refinery, well if you must know you as a citizen in a democracy have the right to ask for the documents- because more than half of it belongs to peter obi and he used anambra's money to achieve it. So dear Peter is playing you guys for a fool, so you better shine your eyes before its too late.MTCHEEEQW.. BY THE WAY LAGOS IS MORE DEVELOPED< CROSS RIVERS< EVEN OGUN STATE, ANd so many more.
well said baby.... Its the truth we all know. Peter Obi has opened the treasury to himself and his calabar inlaws. I heard his wife's brother is living all the life right now with Anambra Money.
yesoo his inlaws are spending anambra's money like its sand. Imagine his inlaw who who hardly had kobo to his name who tried to marry my mom's youngest sister when he was poor like dirt and she refused him-mainly because he wanted to marry my mom's sister because she was from a rich family- today this guy owns estates in victoria island and hotels in calabar and lands- the guy is f-ing rich thanks to anambra money and he helps his inlaw hide assets too, so my igbo people your problem is your lying thieving leaders, not those that criticize them when they are bad. Only a corrupt man can see another corrupt man- el rufai though i respect him is also corrupt, but peter obi is worse because i have seen his money sharing effects with my own eyes.

bashr8: declaring anambra the worst state to do buisness is image assasination and pure lies , el rufai is a troll.
you have been brainwashed, tell the truth and you shall be set free, you can call him what ever you please, but it doesnt change the fact that anambra is a failed state.
Politics › Re: El- -rufai Insulted Igbo Race —obi by mimifonwon(f): 6:22pm On Jun 10, 2012
bashr8: dont get me wrong anambra is not performing like i would expect but elrufai is painting a picture of it being the worse state in nigeria and the worst to do buisness ,this is clearly image assasination which will affect everyone that resides in anambra , imagine if a foreinger planing to invest in south east read this he will think that the war thorn north is better to do buisness than anambra or anywhere in the southeast , we need to watch such trolls like elrufai they are the people giving the south east a bad image for their selfish political reasons thats why i guess peter obi told him he is insulting the igbo race.
I beg, please go park someone where else with this line of thought, Pot holes all over roads in the east, bad schools, bad hospitals, i wouldnt blame westerners for not wanting to invest in igboland except crossriver and maybe imo, the others are a fail in my opinion and people like you that turn a blind eye to the truth cause this. El rufai did nothing wrong but tell the truth, and sometimes it takes an outsider to tell and help us see what we refuse to see. Peter Obi is doing a horrible job making anambra better. And the chiefs and eze's of the land/villages do nothing as long as they get their cut of the stolen money and nothing gets developed. Please my brother tell the whole truth, whether it was said with malice, el rufai told the truth anambra is a failed state. The only governors in the east i respect is imoke and rochas, because they are trying, and so are their first ladies. They understand that they are there to service the people and not the people to them.
Politics › Re: El- -rufai Insulted Igbo Race —obi by mimifonwon(f): 6:15pm On Jun 10, 2012
This is the problem with nigeria, instead of focusing on making the east better, this idiot obi stay stealing and hiding assets that belongs to his igbo brothers and sisters in his pocket, and the only time he remembers that igbos are being affronted is when they are not. El-rufai spoke the truth. I swear these stupid igbo governors need to fix their states and help their people before blaming another man. I have been to anambra and know the inlaws of this stupif governor and they are living like kings while their people cannot even afford biscuit, let alone aku. This is just sad. # charity begins at home my Igbo people, dont turn a blind eye to the truth, for it shall set you free. Her dad was on appointment mostly in the west and a bit in the north, then cameroon, through her childhood and early teens. She went to the east during breaks. Igbos travel alot, some might even say they are great visitors to have, but there still a lot of people in certain townships and villages that have nt even left their village talk of other igbo states. alj harem: Ok ma, but you just confrimed with I said earlier with your post. I would tell you categorically because I am a Yoruba man and please don't put a veil over people's eyes here. A yoruba man would marry anything in skirts so long as she is human. Igbo women have good qualities but again they are easy going more than their Yoruba and Northern counterparts.

Also I would like you to ask your mother, why she married your father so we/you can get a feel of what is going on.

You cannot come here and try to paint a picture that Yoruba men marry Igbo women because of their awesome qualities because that is a lie. I have those that are mixed in my family as well (half Yoruba half hausa) (half yoruba half ijaw) (half yoruba and half igbo) (half nigerian half another country). Looking at that spread one can conclude it is not specified to Igbo women or a form of segregation of Yoruba women.

The women in my family are married to Edo, Itsekiri, Hausa, fulani and even Ibibio. I am not talking of the nuclear family here but very extended family. Also take into account that I am a lagosian and lagos house the Highest Igbo concentration in the world of 60 % of 18 million people which amount to 10.8 million Igbos most of which are men doing business.

You find Yoruba men and Igbo women marry each other more not because of the quality of yoruba men or igbo women (average anyway) but because one would marry anything and the other is easy going.

There are rare instances where yoruba women marry Igbo men but again as I have told you before that they demand some standards couple with their Igbo men counterpart that are also proud in nature thus they have conflicting interests (basically ego clash).
Lol, anything for you!! I showed her the post and she showed it to my dad, and my dad was shocked on how tribalistic our generation is. As for iya mi, oboi she lectured me on being nice to people on line and not to cause anyone to commit suicide, so i have heard her. as for how my dad, she said that he was calm spirited, driven and not controlling, i asked her why she didnt marry an igbo man and she said she most dealt with yorubas than igbos, and jokingly she said she wanted a partner she can make do whatever she wants(by the way my mom is more of the hot temper, punisher, stubborn type, while my dad is the opposite, in a way its wird because its as if my dad is the wife and she the husband, and joke about it, my dad calls my mom his hobby(word play with hubby) and my mom cals him mgbeke'm( which is mostly used for village girls with natural beauty). My mom said that she saw what happened between her parents, where her father was so domineering, that even though they stayed married till my grandfather crooked at 93 in 2008, she said their union inspired her, but also terrified her especially when they fought, it was like "two elphants trying to make a stand." She said even though the fights scared her, it made her learn that husbands and wife fight sometimes to spice up their marriages, lol, and that is why 60 percent of the time she picks an argument with my papa. I guess they are a match made in heaven. Me personally am more attracted to yoruba guys that igbo mainly because i know how controlling and hot temper igbo men can get, and i know the day my husband raises his hand on me, he will not wake up the next day.
