Yes, you can. Present your transfer confirmation as evidence of payment. You need to give about 2-3 days for the transfer to go through.

Eyitayorme:
Is it possible to make a transfer to IOM’s standard Chartered bank account? If yes, what do I print as evidence of payment?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics:
1. Have you read the refund policy for Northumbria?
Hope you know that you wouldn't be entitled to a refund if you choose to study at another school. Are you willing to let go off your deposit? If you can find a way to get your deposit refunded (slim chance), the 50-100% scholarship option at GCU sounds good but getting the scholarship is a probability that might or might not happen so you'd need to evaluate your options and pick the one with less overall risk.

2. Not all parts of London are unsafe but I understand your worries. Glasgow is a "safer" environment compared to London; I've got friends who moved there from London and they swear by the bible that it's a whole lot saner. Their kids also prefer it to London and refuse to come to London except they have no other option.

3. The PSW will include graduates of all UK universities when it starts as scheduled next year and Scotland is part of the UK so you'd benefit from it irrespective of what part of the UK you school in.

4. Pls pick MSc Accounting and Finance as it will give you more leverage if you're looking at being in paid employment right after your course. Social innovation is better suited to entrepreneurial pursuits or when you're a bit higher up and more settled in your professional path. It was one of my modules and it was more like an external component of my entrepreneurship module.

Adeyemoab:
Hello everyone, I am in a state of confusion at the moment, and i know that I can be helped here.
Here's the thing, i got an offer to study Business and Financial Management from Northumbria University London Campus, I already made my deposit payment since February, as the admission was for May befre I deferred to September. I have my funds in my account (school fees balance + living cost). The issue is that I would love to go with my husband and kids as tier 4 dependants (my husband has the three of them living expenses in his account) because we plan on starting afresh over there and all.

Here's my confusion, I have been having a second thought about London due to the expensive lifestyle and the fact that i heard that London is not so safe to raise a family and all, so I decided to search for other schools and then found Glasgow Caledonian University in scotland and i also discovered that I could be eligible to receiving 50 to 100% scholarship due to my CGPA.. I would love to know if schooling in Scotland and more specifically, schooling in GCU is a better decision in comparison to Northumbria? Also, hope I would be eligible for the 2 years post grad work permit if I school there? Lastly, is the course SOCIAL INNOVATION a good course or I should simply stick to Msc in Accounting and Finance (i currently hold a Bachelors degree in Accounting)

Thank you so much as I await your responses @Lagosismyhome, @justwise.. and everyone. Thanks

Let your cousin do a search of schools with nursing programs and check their entry requirements.

Some schools requesting for a 2.1 or 1st class BSc grades might accept a 3rd class with demonstrable and relevant work experience in the health/nursing sector. Anything else that can boost your application should also be included.

Gavrelino123:
Greetings my Great People,
Happy New week,

Kindly, my cousin graduated with a 3rd class in Anatomy and she wants to study Adult Nursing / Nursing in the UK.

Is there any way she can use her BSC of 3rd class to apply get admission in a UK for Adult-Nursing/ Nursing..

iIf yes, what are the names of schools she can apply for Nursing with her 3rd class Bachelor's degree.

Or does she have to do a Top-Up?

Thanks in advance, as i await your response!!

Your answer is in Skymoore 's response to you.

As a self-funded tier 4 Visa applicant, your wife can only use her own account or parents'. You can't sponsor her but you can transfer the funds to her account.

As a tier 4 dependant applicant, your maintenance funds can be in your account, the main applicant's account (in this case, your wife) or in an account jointly held by you and your wife.

delerx:
Thanks for this info. Can I sponsor my wife because I am going with her on a dependent visa.

1. Did you use your WAEC certificate as part of the documents used to obtain your offer? If no, you don't need it.

2. Your passport is sufficient. You don't need your birth certificate except your parents are sponsoring your UK study; you'd need it to prove the relationship between you and parents.

bayosegun:
I have error on waec dob, same year but different date and month which I sworn affidavit for. My question is, would they request for waec during visa application. If yes, is there any other way to correct it?
Secondly, do they request for birth certificate during visa application. If yes, which type can someone get.?

Thank you.

duchess90 has made some good points.
Check the list in the link. Any company not on the tier 2 sponsor's list cannot sponsor an international student except the company applies for a tier 2 sponsorship license. A company doesn't need to be as big as BMW to be a tier 2 sponsor.

Kingp91:

Your best bet would be to secure a tier 2 sponsorship or go the entrepreneurial route with the Tier 1 visa category.

No, you don't need to renew as long as you've got at least 6 months validity on your passport. If you apply by October, you'd still have 7 months.

Once your passport has 6 months or less (not more) on it, you can apply for a new one.

Thanks for the Clarification's.

So UCAS is quite different from cas?

Simply means that your hub accessibility will be partially unavailable (including for the use of clearance checks) because the hub will be used for the UCAS result process during the times stated. The result process might put a strain on the facility/application which is why other services will be disabled at the time.

If you have any questions about it, ask your school.

Some schools don't accept cash for security reasons. Check your school's policy on this.
Yes, you can carry £6k tuition in cash and as soon as you register in school, get a status letter (some banks require this in addition to your school ID, passport and BRP while some don't request for a status letter) to enable you open a bank account.
I'd advise putting your cash in a £ card (you can pay with this online or using your school's POS) if possible because that's safer since you won't be opening an account till after you register with your school and pick your BRP.

gsk4reality:
Let's assume I pay my initial tuition deposit.. Can I carry around £6k pounds in cash for tuition.. Does schools accept cash payments?

They are often used interchangeably though there are slight differences. See the link below for the differences:

https://careersdonewrite.com/blog/reference-letter-vs-letter-of-recommendation

Some schools will only ask for the recommender/referee details and will contact them directly (mostly via email) to request for the recommendation letter.

Some schools would have you fill in your referee / recommender's details and get the letters from your referees by yourself and upload. Seems your schools is adopting this option.

If you can explain your predicament (the fact that you can't request for your transcript online) to the school, pls do; they might or might not agree to wait till after the lockdown is fully lifted.

horlahsunbo225:
I try my best to read everything (instructions) from A-Z, I just find it contradicting ask for recommenders and still have a page to upload refree. ..
Or let me ask is recommendations letters different from reference letter....
Also do u known you any better way I can convince them to use my unofficial transcript for admission purpose only and sent the official transcript after the decision.. The lockdown is affecting academic activities here and I can't request for my official transcript now.. Thanks
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics:
What school is that? You should ask the school, they'd have info on how to go about this.
Processes differ and you would have to pay for this application and assessment process in some schools.

For Anglia Ruskin and Kent, you need to detail experiences (relevant to your intended course) and submit a portfolio proving this for assessment.
The School/faculty you wish to join will identify someone who can be your Portfolio Supervisor, and guide you through the evidence and reflection.
After it's assessed and they are satisfied that it meets their learning outcomes / requirements, it will be accepted and you'll get information for the next steps. If not, you'll also be informed of the decision.

Note:
1. Experiences usually need to be within the last 5 years before your application.

2. The format and completion of your APEL portfolio will depend on your individual experience, and your intended program. You should also ensure that your APEL portfolio demonstrates you meet the relevant learning outcomes against which you wish to claim credit and that your learning is at the right academic level (your Portfolio Supervisor should guide on this).

Sometimes the ban is automatic and as a result of the NL spam bots suspecting spam-like activities i.e. editing a comment multiple times within a short time. It's happened to me about 3 times 3 weeks ago when I tried updating my comments with information that I remembered shortly after my initial comments.
There's always a notification on the profile page of the person banned from commenting when this happens.

Graceisallineed:
While I was going through this thread, I also saw someone’s comment about why a particular person was banned recently just because he/she asked for prospective students to indicate themselves and current students to create a WhatsApp group (so that students aspiring to go to SHU can learn), all of a sudden the person was banned from the group. I believe that shouldn’t lead to a ban but the admin should have just stated it’s not allowed (like warning that it’s not allowed).

However, @Skymoore has been insulting people several times (including people that advises him to stop that bad habit) but admin didn’t give him a strike.

Well in my personal opinion, the admin(s) are biased.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics:
Normally, the information on this should be on your recommendation details page.

If you have the ability to upload your recommendation letters, then it means you should get the letters and upload but your school will be verifying the details contained therein.

If you can input recommenders' details and the upload option isn't available, recommenders are usually sent a secure link to upload their recommendation letters.

horlahsunbo225:
Please I want to ask a question... For those that applied to research based post graduate....there us a space to input recommenders details and there is also a space at the end that allow uploading of refrence letter.. TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics:
Everything applies for undergraduate except that your dependants (if you have any) can't apply for a T4 dependant visa.

For funds, you need your maintenance costs for a minimum of 9 months + your tuition fees in your account for 28 days prior to submitting your application online. Check the very 1st page of the thread for a checklist of what you need for your application.

Alternatively, see the link below for a checklist from UKVI;

TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 11:53am On Jun 08, 2020
Good morning. When it's increased in October, it should be £470 (new IHS cost) + £235 (which is half of £470 for the extra 4-6 months) = £705 for one year programs.

For 2 year courses, that should be £470*2 (2 years IHS) +£235 (half fee which is usually charged for the extra 4-6 months leave added to the visa) = £1,175.

Note: If your leave/visa includes part of a year that is 6 months or less, the IHS amount payable for that year will be half of the annual fee. If your leave/visa includes part of a year that is more than 6 months, the full annual amount will be payable.

beautyfoch:
Good morning.

Please help me clarify this.

Peradventure the IHS is increased by October, will it be 470 ×2 + 150 (extra time granted after the program ends) for a two years program

Or just 470 × 2.

Thank you

Edited some mistakes.

It largely depends on personal preferences. The 3rd option that I would have chosen if in that situation, is largely based on trying to avoid the initial stress of settling in along with dependants. The dependant can apply immediately the wife's visa is out to cut the waiting time. The husband can start researching jobs available in the school and surrounding areas to make it easier to find a job when he arrives in the UK.

Graceisallineed:
Thanks for your response. I appreciate.

What about if the main applicant is a female and will still need her husband to join her and support her. So that as d woman is studying and doing part time job, husband will be working full time.

Do you still think option 3 is the best option?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 5:45pm On Jun 07, 2020
You only need to show the full fees for the first year (excluding any deposit/tuition fee already paid to the school) + maintenance for 9 months. You don't need to show fees for the second year.

beldavis:
Good day all, I'm new here ,pls the last time I asked a friend he told me I just need the balance of my sch fees for first year + my 9 months maintenance fee,pls I want more clarifications on this ,is it supposed to be the full sch fees including the second year sch fees or u can use just the first year sch fees balance too? Thanks you all.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics:
Yes dependants have to pay the IHS too.

The total fee payable for the visa+IHS is multiplied by the number of dependants but this is paid separately for each application.

For your visa, you don't need SOPs or personal statements but you can address any issues that might not be clear to the ECO on your application using a cover letter.
Personal statements are usually required for UK postgraduate courses.
Yimi4real:
Please are dependents expected to pay NHS fee too?
And is total visa fee multiplied by number of dependents?

I know some countries ask for statement of purpose or Personal statement. Is this same for U.K. study visa too?
Thank you.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics:
Okay. I feel that the response from LagosismyHome was an apt reply to your questions. No one can tell you the best or most certain way for an applicant and/or dependant to apply visas because a dependant's visa application being approved depends on the T4 applicant passing the credibility checks and having satisfactory documents held in the manner prescribed by UKVI. At the end of the day, it all boils down to your personal preferences.

1. An applicant can apply with or without dependants as long as all the required documents are in order. The dependants' visa is hinged on the T4 applicant's ability to successfully secure a visa so if a Tier 4 student's application is rejected, the dependant's application will be rejected too. If you are certain that you've included everything you need in your application as a student and you're certain that you'd get it (except for an error on the ECO's part), go for this option.

2. This is entirely dependent on if the applicant wants to travel to the UK with his/her dependants. If for any reason, the main Applicant's application is rejected, then this saves the couple some costs as costs expended on visas are non-refundable with the exception of the IHS costs. This is a safe option if the Tier 4 applicant is having mixed feelings about the outcome of the visa application.

3. This option should be adopted if the student would rather go first to sort all the stress that comes with settling down. This also helps the main applicant (student) to explore the new town/city to make it easier for dependants to settle in.

My own personal preferences would be no 3 as this would give me time to settle in without the added stress of looking out for my dependants while still trying to adapt to my new surroundings even though having familiar faces could help allay homesickness in most cases.

Graceisallineed:
Yes I know and I appreciate his/her response. But I need more answers before we can conclude on what to go for. I need others point of view. I can’t conclude on only one reply. Hope you understand.

Someone responded to you already. See quoted response to your initial questions below.

LagosismyHome:
as long as you are sure you have all the requirement then it doesnt matter if you apply separately or together. it would be the same end result so then it comes to personal preference

same with travelling together or main applicant going first..........both works . it then depends if your rather you settling in down together or one at a time. for example i prefer couple apply at the same time for visa but traveling it all depends on how familar they are with that country. but as you can see this just my personal preference

if you apply together but want to travel seperately with one settling first , then an important thing to note :Make sure you know the date you will travel to the UK before you apply and state it in your application . Your temporary visa ( vignette sticker ) will only be valid for 30 days once you receive it, and you will need to travel within this period.
