Kenya? The "wrongest" country to escape to when on the run from government.

Hi everyone, I’m currently on student visa having finished my MSc program in January but still have fees to pay. My husband has just got COS( not care) and current visa expires May 29. Will my inability to finish paying my fees affect my visa application? I have set up installmental payments for the remaining fees
How will you be able to prove to home office that you have completed your studies and your award of Msc have been confirmed since you said you finished in January before switching to another visa type?

The expired passport itself is being questioned since there is a claim that non-citizens already have Nigerian passports, hence the need to disregard it as a proof.
If non-citizens already have Nigerian passports, what stops them getting a local government certificate of indigeneship?

You both are very lucky, they didn't go beyond what you mentioned as we both know that in the West, such could lead children services getting involved, which is the nightmare of many parents.

There was a day my wife called me at work and was crying. The two boy poured the bag of garri, palm oil, water and raw beans on the rug in the living room, they were busy cooking on the rug.
I beat them that day ehn, I even forgot I was not in Nigeria. That was about 10years ago.
Crying say who die? Where was she, when they went to the kitchen to bring those things out?

When you know your young ones are all over the place, some limitations need to be created. For example, have the kitchen door locked when direct supervision is not possible, so they are restricted to play in their room or the sitting room.

This is my professional specialty and can confidently tell you that messy play is good for the sensory stimulation in our young ones but must be supervised for safeguarding.

Very well, just that it becomes a prob when the carers do not have enough time on their hands.
That is why looking after those small humans involves 100% focus, if you don't have enough time....make adequate arrangement to get someone responsible to cover for you!

They are exploring and that is typical at their stage of development, na the responsibility of their carers to have their eyes on them.

I don't just know what they see in the UK 😂

There are a lot of European countries u guys can apply to rather than UK .... Haba

Anyways... It's ur choice
Let us put into consideration that some people struggle with xenoglossophobia (foreign language anxiety) and can't imagine having their lives tied to learning a new language in order to survive.....UK is their plug and play!

Tge parents should have bought lamp. Put it on in his room every night. Before electricity, that's what people use. In the rural villages, they still use that.
I hope you are not talking about kerosene lamp. cheesy cheesy

It is the whole house situation, not his room thing. I did talk to him over video calls and I could filter him feeling being pressed down whenever lights suddenly goes off at night and he screams the house down. I am happy we are progressing as we are now at a stage where he is the one that switches off the light in his room while on his bed before he sleeps but the curtain must not be drawn, so the outdoor lights filter in......certain, he would outgrow it. cheesy cheesy cheesy

At least we are not dealing with the extra layer of somniphobia (fear of sleep). cheesy cheesy cheesy

How can a sport be competitive when it’s just a subpar of another?

There is no uniqueness in all that, it’s just a sub-version of the real thing. There is nothing in female sports that is better. Absolutely nothing.
So in your own little world, women should not compete among themselves in sports?

Really, really sad! angry

I have a friend whose 3 year old son regularly experiences panic attacks at night when light suddenly goes off because he is nyctophobic. Pikin no know say he is in for a very long ride, the "medication" I recommended to his parents was to get a solar system in their home, ensuring power supply at night in the house.......imagining many children struggling with such phobia but their parents can't afford alternatives.

In my view, I believe that female participation in sports is unnecessary. The most competitive and captivating sports are predominantly played by men, so dedicating significant effort to women’s sports seems futile, as they can never truly match up to men’s achievements.
They are not supposed to match up to men’s achievements but explore their own unique strengths in competitive and captivating sports .

The way they exhibit their love by controlling an adult is the issue. All their doings is still borne out of love. But are they aware they are obsessive?
Not borne out of love but what their distorted minds interprets to be love while suffocating their daughter.

Psychology of parenting, one of the courses I did in my undergrad, really stretched my mind and views about putting into consideration the mental status of parents when exploring family dynamics.

The world is really scary but they should cut you some slack. But what they are doing is out of love for their precious daughter
It is NOT LOVE but maladaptive parenting where they know no boundary and their obsessive behaviour is ruining their daughter's personhood...if their daughter ever gets married, they would ruin that marriage "out of love".
