Caseless: a notherner was sacked to bring arase on board . When BUHARI came, he could have sacked him and brought a notherner , can you do anything? He allowed him to finish his tenure, and here you're talking about who replaced him . Caselesss, Really strange that letting IG finish his tenure is making news. If president chooses to be lopesided as he is being accused in his appointments, letting Arase finish his tenure still does not change the fact that Federal Character in a multitribal country like ours has been dumped in the dustbin. |

JimiOgunlola: I was in the East throughout last year and I know that one of the greatest sin you can commit over there is being an APC member or openly pro-Buhari. You'll look like a murderer in their eyes. I don't blame them though, Buhari keeps spilling blood over there and yet expect them to embrace him. How is that possible? True, in like manner, openly preaching support for Jona then in far North like Kano during the elections was suicidal. Even then, they went about openly tearing down Jona's campagn posters, and pulling down his billboards. |

Nellybii: Can you swear under oath to the bolded? And moreover, Saraki is not complaining what's your own? Crying more than the bereaved. You are normal. Nigerian masses are bereaved and don't have all that time to entertain this regimes senselessness and rather bleak politicking. Good to know the wanton comfort you enjoy deprives you ability to come to terms with Nigeria's current harsh economic realities. |

You are right my brother, it is because GEJ is also a thief and an ineffectual buffoon - that is why it will never happen For now, we need to appreciate that what GEJ does not have the capacity to do, PMB is doing - recovering our commonwealth Just like Tinubu laid the foundation for a modern Lagos, PMB is laying a foundation for a corruption-free Nigeria. Nigeria belongs to us, NOT to few corrupt politician. We either allow the few looters to end our country or put a stop to it NOW Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria Long live APC The day Buhari finds the balls to jail a prominent corrupt loyalist of his party APC I will take his anti-corruption crap seriously. |

Why Anambra?.....
Buhari should not provoke that group any further, it wont end well..
Fg should not talk of land with them now, they would only overheat the polity, cause tension, draw more sympathy to their cause.
Of what purpose is the land to FG now we are broke? So on Point! FG's Nicodemusly cornering the land for Buhari's all-important grazing reserve. |

change49gerians: Over the months, Arase has been a watcher for Nigeria and under his nose many crimes and loot took place. I may want to site the billions looted during the election campaigns and others. Some citizens have been arrested and detained for these and he walks around free. as a professional, if you cannot do a job you must quit. If your superior isn't allowing you to exercise your authority, you must also quit, to avoid tarnishing your image or being blame. He should be arrested and detained for crimes as well as the people he and his boys confederated with to loot our coffer. Now, he was given a decorated farewell as if he served Nigeria. He only served his pocket and should be disgraced out of office if we had any virtue called transparency. That is why many people are calling this fight against corruption a witchhunt program. During his time, Nigeria became so insecure, that even here on Nairaland, the series of killing, abduction, and crime rate became a constant on the front page. Let this change and fight against corruption not become a mockery in the end. The previous administration was booed at and called all sort of names by this administration, now we all can witness how selected individuals are celebrated while some few are punished for their crimes. We have no record of how much the Nigerian police force realize at the end of the year. EFCC has recently listed some cash in their custody, but what about the police? They should continu Arase or whatever they call him might just be in for the probe and shock of his life under this probe-drunk administration of Buhari. |

PassingShot: Well, facts available support this assertion by Lai Muhammed:
1. Ministers were nominated and were all screened successfully.
2. All screened ministers were approved despite some noise from the sore losers.
3. The budget, despite padding by some criminals among them, was eventually passed as desired by the president.
4. 2 bills from the presidency is being passed without any much rancour.
I guess the trial of Saraki is the only reason people think there is no harmony between the Executive and Legislature which is also normal thinking. But I see it as a good development in our system that you should answer for your crime irrespective of your position.
Cordial relationship between both arms will benefit Nigeria at the end of the day. Buddy, the selective/biased nature of the bolded, a big NO NO for any serious minded government that really wants to deal with corruption, for to be biased is to be corrupt. Unnecessary harmony between the arms is not even needed so that the people can get the best from governance. |

Oche211: No one to trust again in our government. Thank God for sahara reporters, if nt, most of these things would have remained dark hidden secrets. Sahara reporters are the best in investigative journalism. Ironically, the same Buhari keeps claiming he likes to see the press go into investigate journalism. Buhari's Government can't continue to ride on the myth that he is not corrupt but must earn that reputation or lose it based on what we see. Many still have a hard time knowing that more or less, APC = PDP = APC! |

La cosa nostra Shameless Federal government of Buhari, never shifting grounds, but rather playing dirtiest politics of vendetta, neck-bent on silencing every and all opposing voices. Best way to fight corruption indeed by an "impartial" rather directionless APC government busy replicating we have long known PDP for. The grass (Nigerian masses) must continue to suffer while senseless fights of the elephants (Buhari's APC govt and Senate leadership) takes over as the main issue on the table of governance. Pessimists sadly predicted this overrated Buhari's government might waste these 4 years on such a fruitless mission of chasing the wind. |

Believe me this news will never be reported by the niGERia media houses because they have been paid not to report about the exploits of the Boko Haram boys. Infact, they were threatened that their licenses will be seized if they report the true situation about the Boko Haram activities except the usual one sided victorious bravely acts by the Army headquarters. My soldier friend that just returned from Borno said that the situation on ground is truly different from what is being reported in the media by the lieing APC govt headed by the Dullard of Daura and his cohorts like Lai Mohammad and the spokesperson of the Arm HQ. Sad. Propaganda can be a great tool. |
