100naira: maybe he's seen a movie where she was different from what we have seen in her movies because she's not versatile, she's same as the Rock and Reynolds. Have you seen this movie starring Reynolds and Denzel Washington? How about Burial? Reynolds has played different characters before. Even though he now seems to be playing the same roles, he plays them in different ways in that you can't compare free guy with the role he played in red notice or Deadpool. But the rock plays Hobbs every time aside the movie where he played a cripple, Central Intelligence (he played something close to Hobbs but very different in a way). You can play the same role but make it different. |

Kaycee7: Gal Gadot is versatile? Since when? She is. Try watch Criminal, keeping up with the Joneses, wonder woman...she is different. She was totally different in Red notice. |

abduleez1: He was a bit kinda different in Jungle Cruise. That movie showed me he could be different if he wanted to put in work.
I just hope the director could push him more and the fact that he's always wanted to play the character, he gives more than the usual. Exactly. The man can act differently, which is why I am disappointed seeing Hobbs in many of his roles. |

ParisArentGerman: His popularity does not seem to be affected by the repetitive role; in fact, the reverse appears to be true. Why should he alter the very thing that has brought him so much money? Alter it, how? Dude, we are just asking him to be better. I have seen the Rock act better and different, he can do better. |

VerifiedStalin: This. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Then why is he an actor? When you keep repeating a role, it becomes you. It's no longer acting at that stage. |

Kaycee7: Not bad actor per say. He's just comfortable being typecast. My point exactly, though from a different angle. The man has potential but he doesn't try to make his character look different even though he keeps getting the tough guy role. His expressions, speech partner, mannerisms, accent are all the same, one note. Some actors even if they keep playing the same character, they change things. I don't want to see Hobbs while watching Black Adam. |

When PDP zoned the presidency to the North, Atiku benefitted as candidate.
Now, it might be the turn of the SE, Atiku just remembered there is something called the Nigerian Constitution?
What kinds of people are these? I blame you for having faith in these men. |

SMUAG: Not everyone. Those who are familiar with the character won't find it funny. That's the problem of The Rock, he never wants to go out of his comfort zone....... Am starting to think he purposely wants to be a bad actor cause he keeps getting work and has less time to research his character. |

TheKingIsHere: The flash is not the only one that has lightning bolt logo.
Shazam and BA has lightning bolt logo too
BTW, I think they plan to drop a BA teaser on Superbowl You should have read the comment closely. Flash has a different lightning bolt to Shazam. The first image I saw prior to watching the preview was a flash lightning bolt. I thought the thing was for just black Adam not knowing the clip featured every DC release. Read the comment wella next time. |

abduleez1: The marketing of the movie ehn dey fear me sef .... I see The Batman everywhere online.
Twitter, everywhere. In the US ppl see th Batman everywhere, from Pizzas, Coffee Mugs, shops, billboards and the likes.
I'm beginning to think even as WB aggressively marketed DUNE, The Batman seems to surpass that push. It looks like the biggest promotion EVER WB has undertaken since BVS.
This is the reason why I'm solidly confident of the movie whether it's good, bad or average. Besides Matt Reeves already has a track record of good movies and crowd pleasers. I don't think he'll go a tad wrong in this project — His Biggest!!
This movie will easily do $650mn at worst... Pandemic or not!! Profit nonetheless. The last time WB was this confident and aggressively promoted a DC flick was a MASTERPIECE!! — Joker. And I don't think I'll be disappointed now. Even the worst DC movies (remember SS, BVS) that had over $100mn debut domestic weekend has never gone below $650mn. So Stalingrad, I think you just pained here. No be now wey DC don get some leverage and some faith na em box office go crash on us. Besides... I'm Batman!! and I'm VENGEANCE!!!
Who wan cry make e continue dey wail.... Don't judge it from the marketing. BvS and Jl had crazy marketing. Even MOS did. Of course, people will flood in theaters in the first week, but what will determine it is will it keep people coming? Factors need to be looked at aside marketing. Ur marketing can trick consumers into buying your product but will it keep them buying it? |

phr0nesis: Even when BvS and JL numbers were low, we are still getting another Batman movie. I think WB wants to ensure they suck out every available juice Batman has. A Batman movie that isn't with Ben Affleck. Bros, had those movies made bank, WB would have done everything to bring Ben back and make him comfortable in the role. There's no two ways about it. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by Minemrys(op): 11:23pm On Feb 06, 2022 |
Nickshrapnel: And BvS got a sequel That was already announced and in pre production before BvS was released. Besides, it wasn't a sequel to start with, but using your metrics, JL with Batman couldn't even make MOS numbers. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by Minemrys(op): 9:42pm On Feb 06, 2022 |
Nickshrapnel: The studio don’t know what to do with Superman, but Batman is always a money maker for them. Batman Begins made $371m adjusted for inflation should amount to $530m. A sequel was made. Trust me, with good critical reception and more than triple its budget, a sequel to this will be announced. That was at a time when huge grosses were an anomaly. You guys acting like BvS wasn't a Batman movie. |

TheKingIsHere: Bro, a sequel and even HBOmax spinoff series has been greenlit long ago. WB knows that even with $650m final BO, they are in huge profit. A sequel hasn't been greenlit yet oh. It's only a HBO max series. A sequel with Pattinson has not been announced let alone greenlit. |
TV/Movies › Re: DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE (FILM) by Minemrys(op): 9:12pm On Feb 06, 2022 |
Nickshrapnel: A sequel will be ordered immediately irrespective of the box office outcome. It’s Batman we’re talking about here. If it makes 650, it won't. MOS made that amount, and we are yet to get a part 2. If it gets a sequel, then expect studio interference in that movie. |
