mhen, u were right. The series makes sense. Thanks for introducing me to it. I think Raven's dad is like Ego in GOTG who gave lots of people the task or bounty of finding his daughter. Thats what Star fire, that nuclear family and others are after. Am guessing Raven's dad is the main villain of this season.

Noted but they have to be a major super hero team which the franchise majorly revolves around with others backing or following up. DCEU revolves and centers mainly on the justice league and it's characters but there are other teams and characters backing or following up. Now with this, the production of this minor super hero team movies (suicide squad in this case) must or should be produced in such a way that their plot and timeline do not contradict and clash with the movies of the earth major super hero team and it's characters (in this case justice league) and the linear plot of the franchise/ universe. That was why to avoid such contradiction, clash and confusion, I said there wasn't any need for a suicide squad sequel (rather they should focus on justice league and it's characters) and if there will be, it's timeline and plot should be made in such a way that it does not contradict with the timelines and linear plots of the DCEU.

Anyways, thanks for the enlightenment but try to be less insultive next time okay.

Their timelines w0n't clash. Why?
1. Suicide Squad is n0t a superhero team that goes to save cats out of trees. They are govt owned assassins and enforcers made up of criminals, put together by politicians of America and n0t to save the world. They can be disavowed, any0ne is expendable.
2. The World doesn't kn0w they are out there. Meaning, they can go on missi0ns for the g0vt even with the presence of the league with0ut them meeting the league.
3. Saying the suicide squad is useless, is like telling the U. S to scrap the NSA because they have the CIA. Think of the justice league as the CIA and the suicide squad as the NSA.

I don't think suicide squad needs a sequel. Not because I hate the movie or because it was a horrible movie but because it does not align with the linear plot of the DCEU or Worlds Of DC and it's gonna invalidate it.
Suicide squad were formed as an alternative to superman after he died. Earth government believing that the Earth is prone to attack since superman is no longer there to protect them due to his death decided to enlist the help of metahuman villainous prisoners to form a team called suicide squad to guard Earth from attacks in exchange for favours which they did but things didn't go as planned.
Not long after, Justice League was formed and this team became the new guardians of the earth protecting and saving the world from threats. That is the plot.
So what's the need to form or reform suicide squad to save the world when there is justice league doing the job already.
What's it that suicide squad can do that justice league can't do and even do better. There is definitely no need to recreate a suicide squad or even produce a movie about them again.

The only rational way I see that suicide squad can be reformed or it movie sequel produced is:
1.) If suicide squad are going to team up or join the justice league to face a common threat.
OR
2.) If the timeline of suicide squad 2 will be between the timeline of suicide squad and that of justice league, that is, before the justice league was formed. I think that how it gonna be because if it's timeline is after the events of justice league then that's a massive flop.

Am n0t sure u saw suicide squad, cos if u did, you'd have n0ticed the scene where Waller c0mmanded Enchantress to get a classified file fr0m iran or iraq i think. She put the squad together n0t to protect the earth or anything, but to serve America's interests and at the end, they will disavow them. It was menti0ned m0re times than often. If it was abt pr0tecting earth, why would an assassin be needed? Why a crocodile? A psychotic bitch and a b0omerang guy? These guy were brought together to help fight America's enemy, assassinate targets should the time come. They menti0ned these albeit using metaphors in the film. "what if superman had ripped off the r0of of the white house and made of with the president, who would've stopped him?" That line is n0t as literal as u think. It meant, who would attack America's enemies acting under america's interest should the time call for it. Unfortunately, Waller's plan backfired when Enchantress went out of hand, which ir0nically reflects real life where America creates situati0ns that bec0me a catalyst for problems..i d0n't think u actually underst0od what suicide squad was abt.

Define Box Office success. BvS made more money than Wonder woman and Suicide Squad. Man Of Steel made more money than Iron Man part 1 or the Thor and Incredible Hulk phase one films. I think what you are trying to say is critical acclaim or success, not Box Office Success. If anything, JL was the one to perform poorly at the BO among the DC offerings...and if we are to go by BO definition, JL was a BO success, only it did below expectation. As long as a movie can make twice its budget, it's a success at the Box Office.

If u ask me, WB should stop playing PR and rehire David Ayer instead of having fired him under the guise of him returning to direct s0me 'gotham city sirens' thats just Damage C0ntrol. Ayer should be given s0me time, work a script and be given creative c0ntr0l. His film shouldn't be botched like they did with SS. Aside that, the characters apart fr0m The joker were good.

Change the script of the 1st, maintain a coherent directorial visi0n, a Suicide Squad sequel could be an entertaining m0vie film. Actually, all studios are cowards when it comes to superhero films. WB actively changed from Tim Burton's dark Batman films (which are surprisingly rated PG-13, in fact over here they were rated 12 in the cinema, but 15 on home video. 15UK is usually R in US like the Deadpool films) to the more comedic slapstick tone that justified the PG-13 ratings. Hence why we lost dark live action Batman in the 90s and he practically crashed & died with Bat nips AKA Batman & Robin. Even Christopher Nolan's praised Dark Knight trilogy is PG-13. Fox with Deadpool franchise, the only current superhero film franchise with a R rating. Life is not a superhero film, so apples & oranges.

The only other superhero films (or at least based on comic book entities) rated R are Blade (except Bade Trinity) & The Punisher (all of them).

thanks for clarifying my point. The dude says it like superhero films depending on how the writers want it, can't take on a R rating. R rating isn't just based on a film being dark or bearing graphic imageries, a lot of c0medy films are R rated and many of them didn't feature violence.

Antman and the Wasp is an okay film that offers nothing spectacular.
The movie is not great, not bad just average.

Just more dry comedy from MCU , small drama and lots of action.
The first Antman film was much better.

It's an MCU film under Disney so it got automatic pass from critics.

Even the worst MCU film was deemed okay by critics so don't be surprised

What really struck me was how everybody either praised the film or ignored how mediocre it was from movie critics to fans alike. I just decided to keep my opinion to myself. I even deleted it immediately after watching. It's things like this that lends credence to that superhero fatigue thing people yap about.

Plus I just saw antman and the wasp and frankly, it's not as good as they said it was but it's marvel sha so let's accept it. Eva tho her accent

i waited m0nths anticipating antman and the wasp and it was a huge let down. Am surprised critics didn't trash the film. As in, there was n0thing new or inspiring in the film. Just car chase, a female antman and giant man that we saw better in Civil war, that in antman and wasp, it became generic. The story was just there. No new hum0r. Just...i regret watching the film really.

But wait oh, this current trailer is 5 mins plus long. The previous trailer was almost two mins or so... I just hope we have not seen all the cool parts of the movie.

The trailer looks really good and DC appears to have found a tonal balance BUT I have been burned way too many times to trust this. However, for the first cinematic debut of the character known as Aquaman, this is topnotch. Very impressive.

Now if only the movie can actually be just as great as the trailer suggests.......

At this point I'm thinking it may not be such a bad idea if heavyweights such as Superman and Batman are axed, this is a good thing as it would force DC to look into their catalog of richer and lesser known characters that aren't bogged down with so much baggage and expectations that supes and bats are known for. I for one wouldn't mind a movie featuring The Question or Booster Gold for instance.

Ehm, after BvS, Justice League, i wouldn't consider this film as 'cinematic debut'. Aquaman is a sequel to the events of JL.
