12large1: So Bayern Munich that had Ribery and robben on the opposite wing are Goats? Abi gunners that had Pires and ljunberg at the opposite wing are imbeciles? Or perhaps the current Liverpool team that has salah and mane at the opposite wings are ekwensu?? If you guys love Simon defensive qualities so much, convert him to RB or LB. A winger main attribute is to assist, create chances and score goals and if your wingers doesn’t do any of those 3, idk Calm down...no be must we go use ejuke and Chukwueze start....Moses is also a decent winger, not that he is poor |

ChrisKels: The kid can be really silly sometimes because he lacks manner of approach, but I understood where he was driven at.
He didn't compare our wingers to Bayern's, he only made an illustration using Bayern wingers.
Bayern played and excelled with tricky wingers, so let's copy that in OUR OWN CAPACITY by playing OUR OWN TRICKY WINGERS. There is no comparison whatsoever here. Ok bro...grab that |

ChrisKels: I didn't see where he made any comparison so don't quote him out of context. Bros I talked about alike wing play of Chukwueze and Ejuke not to be too ideal, he came up negating my point with Bayern using a robben/ribbery, Calling my own nonsense...so I'm still quoting him within Context |

12large1: Absolutely nonsense. Do You think that bayern golden generation would had been successful if one of Ribery or robben was removed for a defensive winger? Abi Barcelona era of Messi and ronaldinho? Or Arsenal era of Ljunberg and pires? Any small thing, you especially don dey cap rubbish dey compare 9ja players with top class player....oga open your eyes this Afcon and not Bayern Munich and Barcelona...d quality of ejuke/Chukwueze can't be compared to robben/ribbery..... I'm talking wing play you are bringing Messi/Ronaldo..... |

Ppl dont jus rate Simon Moses...that guy is a solid wing player.. We can't have Chukwueze and ejuke playing similar football starting for us...we need one bully winger and one trick master on the other side....I like this forward line |

isan: Gabon is not a force to be reckon with in African football what have they achieved in african football ? You said European teams trash minnows why did Germany lost to Liechtenstein ? And you are saying they should come and do it again , did Germany lost to them or not ? Stop going back and forth Bros nobody is saying there are no upset in football, but ours in Africa is now looking like a normal thing, and I will argue it with u, Gabon is a a force to be reckoned with in African soccer/Afcon, remember I'm basing my argument as against the comoros they played....even if they have not won anything, they also Afcon regulars for the past and have at some point progress beyond group stage...so comoros is not their mate. Whether Germany lost or not, that doesn't remove the fact that Germany will come and start defending against them in a tournament proper towards the end of game.. I'm even going too far to call Germany self....make Serbia,Sweden,Austria catch that your leitchestein u are calling, whether no be beating |

isan: What are you even saying ? do you even watch football or you are just hungry to be mentioned ? European team hammer minnows How did greece win euro 2004 ? Is gabon even a top side in african football ? Didn't Germany lose Liechtenstein in qualifier ? Upset is normal in football especially in cup competition Oga u can't compare Greece to comoros, and u see this situation I sight is always common with African team, I'm sure top African football teams will be playing tournament game against a minnow and be struggling....No Gabon is not a powerhouse but they are force to reckon with over the years in previous afcon games.... oga comoros is f**king minnow and playing their first Afcon....let that same leitchestein come back n face Germany and cause upset.. Our own superior team to minnow game upset is now bcoming a norm |

isan: Football in general is always like that the losing team attack more in the closing stages and the leading team will backtrack to protect their lead especially in a cup competition, so African football no get as e be Bro forget, if a top European team is playing against a minnow, they will hammer them very very well, for the minnow to even think of coming back into the game... Germany will now be playing 1-0 against Montenegro an be backtracking towards closing stage of game? Iffa hear |

African football get as e be; u will see a superior team on paper leading 1-0 in reality then when it gets to the final closing stage of game, minnow/underdog will start playing like Germany/Spain and so called powerhouse superior team will start defending....see the way Gabon dey defend their lives against comoros Can't imagine England or Spain leading Andorra 1-0 and start defending in the closing stages |
I agree with most of what you said. But... Morocco is more compact than Egypt ooh. Na because na Ghana that's why you feel they're not compact. This Moroccan team will eat Senegal for meal. Ghana get pedegree and strong head for Afcon even though it's been 30yrs they last won it. Ebuehi can handle Salah majestically. You're right about Sanusi, he runs and lacks sense, and overlaps too often. But he's fast. In essence, if we play slightly better than Ghana with a midfield that's tough to crack, we will be unplayable by any team. And don't he surprised, we may just nack them 3 : 0 tomorrow.
This was the dream I had last year November ... imagine dreaming of a match that is to be played in January and then seeing a correct score of 3:0 |

TheSuperNerd: A bit harsh Andy coz Zuchyblink actually makes a fair point if you look at things critically. I am not in agreement with him that the lads Awo and Sadiq cannot deliver because they are rookies but he is right to say we gamble on them. I personally root for them despite their having 1 senior cap between them. Yes Awo and Sadiq have a combined senior cap of 1.
And I think this 1 senior cap thing is what informs Zuchy's stance.
Now on Mbappe, you see... Mbappe that we cite here had 15 senior caps before the Russia 2018 WC.
Pedri had at least 4 senior caps before Euros 2020.
Busquests had about 13 senior caps (including caps at FIFA Confed Cup 2009) before WC 2010.
Pique had about 16 senior caps (including FIFA Confed Cug games as well) before WC 2010.
Pedro also had 3 caps before WC 2010.
I could go on and on. Some senior international exposure was acquired by these lads as prodigies before being unleashed in a major tournament like the WC or Euros. And yes, I know if I dig deeper I will find a few exceptional cases.
But again, like I reinstate, Sadiq and Awo are two lads doing well, especially Awo tearing it up in one of the best 5 leagues on the planet. They are Strikers in form and Fine finishers and I believe they will deliver if chances come their way.
But from the side of caution, Zuchy has a point somewhat.
In all, we have no choice. It will be Sadiq, Awo or Iheanacho leading the lines. And they have my support BIG TIME. All can score goals as long as chances are created.
This is why it is our midfield setup that worries me more than anything else in our team at this Afcon. Well all blame will still go to papi Rohr for not handing invites and subsequently using these guys to at least have that international experience, he was heavily reliant on osimhen and onuachu after ighalo retired.... A coach spoiled with array of inform strikers scattered all over he ignored them and over using 1 person...dat man ma scam abeg.. |

I hate watching team playing too many long balls from defence to attack, I saw most of it in today's game. When they can't go through the middle with tip-taps they will just resort to one boring aimless long ball that will later fall in the hand of opponent goal keeper... somebody should warn ekong, that's his trademark |

JohnBullMySon: How come he has 54 while Musa has 98. I think he sat on the bench for too long. Yeah mostly warming the bench and sometimes not being called up by coached And again at a point Musa was fast becoming our Messi+Walcott put together we almost couldn't do without mentioning him in the super eagles from Siasia(2011) to keshi(2013-2015) to Olise to Rohr, all these coaches had faith in him than in omeruo |
