This is not the time to say what we all know.

Omeruo claimed to be 15 in 2009 he has remained almost the same since then no change in facial skeletal development and or hieght. That year all of then were age cheats some even removing 10 years from their ages.

Fortune Chukwudi the captain comes to mind when confronted he said , but it's not only me . He was close to 30 claiming U17.

Go and look at pictures of Iwobi at 15, Yobo at 15, Aina at 15 , Ekong at 15, and stop saying what we already know.
Bro pls dont compare onyibo raised 15yrs old kid with Ajekpako raised 15yrs old kid

I don’t want to say much ,he is not 28 years ,even musa with more caps that is having a successfully career for both club and country is even older than what he claimed to be grin

It’s not by playing for the eagles for 10 years that will make you determine the player is using his real age or not ,omeruo has played for 8 years for naija and it’s a normal thing to me as far as you are fit enough and playing weekly for your clubside ,if players like pepe Thiago Silva can still be playing for their national team at 38 39 then the African man with football age should have no problem still playing for his national team at 33 let alone 28 grin
grin but omeruo has played more than 8yrs Sha...baba played in Afcon 2013 na no be so

You really cannot discount what home support can do for you in a tournament like this.

In looking at teams I put aside emotive Favouritism and look at matters as objectively as possible.

I will start from one proviso, all Francophone teams have an advantage over all Anglophone teams. Cameroon like other Francophone countries have direct acces to the French League and that means a huge pool of talent.

But if we are to look at what gives you an advantage it's always quality players and to have 3 outstanding players through the spine of the team is a great advantage.

Onana Ajax goalkeeper alongside Mendy are probably the best African goalkeeper in the World. You can guarantee Cameroon defense will be birthed from French league one like Castelleto at Nantes to name a few. They also have Anguissa in Midfield NOBODY in our squad can compare to him Dude is very good. They have Ekambi from Lyon, Choupa Bayern M., Aboubakar and Basagog can't be ignored. In all depu they have strength in depth.

They are top favourites in my opinion to get to the Finals.

The SE played a local team from Cameroon
Coton Sport FC de Garouab we beat them 2-0 that's not an inspiring result whatever way you look at it.

Senegal have Mendy, Koulibally and Mane to name three top class if not world class players in their squad, I am sorry we are not better than them on paper.

Cote d'Ivoire are not very good in the goalkeeping department. We are better. But it ends their, defender are Éric Bailly , Willy Boly (Wolves) they are very good.

Midfield they have Kessie , Akpro, Bogarde to name a few. Upfront the top goal scorer in the Eredivisie Haller, who is flanked by Pepe and Zaha.

And you truly believe that we are better than Senegal and Cote d'Ivoire. On paper we are absolutely not.

However, it's football it's a cup competition anything can happen. I will admit that inexplicably for too many years Cote d'Ivoire have the players but never seem to achieve. Could this be the year they do huh

Nigeria is not a favourite in my opinion , maybe our never say never " Warri no deh carry last " Spirit may take us past the group stage, but winning it very doubtful.

Nonetheless, I'm screaming for Nigeria to win .
Home support has only worked for 2teams for the past 11Afcon Editions and those teams are North African teams(Egypt/Tunisia) this time around whether u be home team oh, if you jam team wey crase them go beat you in front of your president

Bros omeruo is around 10yrs with super eagles now and still playing with agility, no mumu mumu injury worries(something peculiar with age cheating) one of the 2players currently to have representated Nigeria in 2world cups effectively and still looking young

So only Omeruo and Musa are still surviving from the 2013 squad

Dem don try oh shocked
Omeruo was one of those that used his real age at the 2009 U17 world cup, that's why he is still lasting and strong for about 13yrs now in the colors of Nigeria another real small boy spotted at the U17 world cup was chidera Eze, during the 2013 WC, e pain me that boy no translate into super eagles
Omeruo is one quiet personality in the eagles fold otherwise he should be a commanding captain in the eagles of today

In Afcon 2000 Nigeria/Cameroon/Tunisia sailed to the semifinals(towards the end of our golden era)
In Afcon 2002 Nigeria/Cameroon/Senegal/Mali sailed to the Semifinals (Final competition to most of our 94 all conquering squad)

In 2004 Nigeria met Cameroon and eventually edging them to progress to the Semifinals (having new Assemblage of eagles with few veteran)
Nigeria/Morocco/Tunisia/Mali

In 2006 Nigeria/CIV/Senegal/Egypt sailed to the Semifinals after the later edged Cameroon in the quarterfinals
(The start of the Egyptian invincibility)

In 2008 a shocking outster, Nigeria fail to progress to last four after Ghana edging to in the quarterfinals, having Egypt/Cameroon/CIV/Gha sailing to the last four

In 2010 Nigeria/Ghana/Egypt/Algeria progress to the last 4
(Algeria raising eyebrows of African gigantism)

In 2012 Nigeria failed to qualify, having CiV/Zambia/Mali/Ghana

In 2013 Nigeria/Ghana/Burkina/Mali sailed to the last 4

In 2015 Nigeria didn't qualify, CIV/Ghana/DRC/E-guinea sailed to the Semifinals
In 2017 Nigeria didn't qualify Cameroon/Egypt/Ghana/Burkina sailed to the last 4
(end to 16 nation tourney)

In 2019 Nigeria came back and advanced to last for alongside Algeria/Senegal/Tunisia
(Beginning of 24nations tourney)

This chart shows
Nigeria are the king of top 4 grin no matter who is picked to play, you see that top 4 we go reach am, others can follow

Still on Adepoju Tobi
First meeting was held yesterday night between the NFF Executive Members, Technical Committee & Technical Department.

Opinions divided.

Some suggested Gernot Rohr sack before the AFCON.

The meeting considered the implication of the decision to sack him, hence divided opinions.

According to the clause in his contract he hasn't defaulted, playing 'Good Football' isn't part of the clause

Clause in his new contract

- Win the AFCON or get to the final.

- Secure the World Cup ticket in March.

To sack Rohr, NFF will have to pay him off in millions.

The meeting agreed they don't have the money to pay him off including paying some of his outstanding salaries (Which is about four months).

However, NFF are considering options apart from sacking.

The free-hand Rohr has gotten might be cut off.

Questioning, query & venting of his list might be introduced.

Rohr has worked in Nigeria since 2016 having 100% control of his team without any interference.

The discussion will continue with the Executives, looking at the best options considering their financial challenges.

Rohr has to work with the Technical Committee/Department, take suggestions & more.

Listen to advice on how to improve the team.

The NFF won't go back to the old days of forcing ideas on the coach, but they want a system that will checkmate & ensure the performance improves.

According to my source, if they can meet up with the financial implication to pay him off and get a better replacement in the next few days, his contract will be terminated.

Who will replace Rohr?

NFF doesn't have options right now, domestic coaches are not in the conversation.

According to Adepoju tobi NFF Executive Members have suggested the sack of Gernot Rohr before the AFCON in January.

The Executives will meet with the Technical Committee/Department to weigh their options.

The body language of the NFF to sack Rohr is very strong this time.

Nig vs CIV/CMR
Nig vs Egypt
Nig vs Mali
Nig vs Tan/Ben rep
Nig vs Gha/SA
This is where we need to bring bqck the spirit of 2018 world cup qualifiers.

but like seriously game changers and senior men like Mikel, ighalo, V.Moses, Onazi, Ideye(against Zambia away) helped us cruise through that tough group, can our younger and newbies do this for us embarassed
Osimhen, chukwueze, Ejuke, iheanahcho, okoye, onyeka, aribo etc....can dey do it against those tough opponents H/A?
