SirShymexx: Lol, at least you get it. Most black people love to focus on toxic black masculinity, while forgetting that toxic masculinity is a universal thing entrenched in patriarchy cos of the PC nature and window dressing of white liberal elites in the media. Elites make up less than 5% of the population. As a guy, since it was a leaked information - I just looked at it as normal guy chat lol.
Black president, you say? That's a bit of a stretch. There will be no talk of minorities anymore. The Democrats would've to change their plans and strategy to class based now and the target would've to be white working class a la middle America. LGBT communities would also have to take a back seat. It's going to be more about white nationalism, pandering more to white supremacy, and the conservatism of their religious values. The left would also have to move to the centre and closer to the right, similar to what New Labour did in the U.K during the Blair days before they crash landed and became the mess they're today, thus making them utter useless.
The mistake they made was to rig the primaries for Clinton against Bernie Sanders, hence they have started attacking Donna Brazile for the role she played and AAs for voting for Clinton, while majority of whites voted for Bernie. It was a populist election and Bernie Sanders would've won all the votes Clinton got and slashed a lot of Trump's, especially the white men who make up 1/3 of the voters. They should have dropped the LGBT agenda about transsexuals as well, like Bill Maher said. The election was about the survival of white men and their dominance - not minorities, LGBT, and women lol.
Anyway, it's a wake up call for AAs to focus on building their families and communities like Asians, especially their women who have become vessels for white supremacy like other black women everywhere. It's going to be a long 8 years (Trump is going to be a two term president like Reagan cos DNC don't have anyone ATM to replace him) for them. Exactly, I just said something of this nature on another thread not too long ago. |

Timbuktuo: The people you quoted said canvassing for women's votes without backlash is a sign of Europe's advancemnt, is that true? Would the same be said if men were asked to vote for a man just because of his gender? Or telling men to not vote a woman? Considering all that liberal, progressive politics has drummed into our ears, that's a major sign of backwardness. Sexist campaigning cannot be any sign of advancement. This mental gymnastics is so entertaining.
You do these people a disservice when you mention whitevaupremcy as the reason for their election choices. Do you think that's why Merkel has become a laughingstock? Because of white supremacy? LOL,i included white supremacy in there as a nuance to the American situation. Populism in the form of Nationalism is Merkel's undoing. |

Timbuktuo: Don't mind that small-yanshed girl . She thinks the world will fit her worldview and anybody who opposes said worldview is bad.
Per Sanders, I think he would have stood a better chance against Trump, I also think he may have lost against Trump because he could have been considered too communist, and America doesn't like a communist. So, it's anyone's guess ultimately. Well let's assume you're right and that he would have also lost, I can assure you that unlike Clinton, Bernie would not be struggling to get to 240 electoral votes. Personally, Trump didn't stand a chance against Bernie Sanders but trust the DNC to favour a Clinton over an outsider like Sanders who's actually an Independent. |

Mindfulness: What Moore says is that the average worker who struggles to make ends meet would vote for Trump. This is no surprise.
The mainstream media is in shock because they thought that Trump's offensive language would cost him votes. As we can see, people do not care about racism or sexism as long as they expect a candidate to boost the economy. Even conservative America voted for Trump who has been divorced two times. America is a world power in decline. This is a blow to their national identity and philosophy of exceptionalism and a threat to their very existence. Trump promises 'to make America great again', they did not trust Hillary could and would because Obama, with whom she is associated could not. Consequently, they go with Trump, against all odds.
I see many parallels with the Brexiters who were raving on a cloud of nostalgia for the time of the British Empire. We can all see how it is playing out now. I noticed your style of argument the last time we had a conversation regarding the US and its need to be in everyone's business. You have a way of trying to shift the conversation to suit your narrative and it's actually an ingenious tactic, lol. I LIKE YOU. This has very little to do with the economy, i understand how economists might want to have their voice heard but I'm going to ask you one simple question: Do you think Donald Trump would have won the election if the DNC had made BERNIE SANDERS their nominee, bad economy or good economy? Please be honest and objective, and put this into consideration as well: States where Bernie Sanders had initially won delegates and votes during the Democrat primaries, were won by Donald Trump on election day.cc Timbuktuo |

Pidgin2: He also said he would date his daughter if she wasn't his child and they still voted for the sexual predator, Americans amaze me
As for Hillary, the moment I watched her trying to appeal to women and canvassing for their votes, I feared for her chances.
I've always known this, if you want to win votes never appeal or canvas for women's votes because women hate women. Instead appeal and canvas for men's votes, surround yourself with men who don't have problems working with women, this is the secret to winning political offices in backward countries like Africa, Asia and the US. Europe is advanced so one can get away with canvassing votes from females but you cannot succeed with this strategy any where else. Hillary should have employed me as her political adviser, I guarantee she would have won Trump in a heart beat. LOL,you're funny. Europe is more advanced than the US now? Wow Are you talking about the same Europe where the UK voted to leave the EU? The same Europe where German Chancellor Angel Merkel is well on her way to getting booted out? Populism, nationalism, and white supremacy is starting to come back everywhere. |

FrancisTony: Hilary Clinton actually won by popular votes... This is what most Clinton supporters still dont understand. For a minute, forget that she won the popular vote. Donald Trump got more white female votes than Romney did, more Latino votes, and brought down the blue wall in comfortable democratic states then went on to win them. Hillary Clinton also performed worse overall than Obama did, while Donald Trump overall performed better than Romney and McCain. This is what you should be putting into consideration when looking at this from an objective perspective. I have seen your photo about the electoral college. You need to know that in about 25 States of the US, the electoral college voters are mandated by law NOT TO change their votes on December 19. |

tearoses: My dear, there were a few things that I read between the lines.
Firstly when a man is stripped of his ego, he fights back in any way possible, and these ways may be damaging because he is not thinking of the consequences at that point.
The first mistake was made when he was made to explain to your parents how he intended looking after you and having to put a figure on it. Parents do love us but sometimes they overdo things. I am a parent too and I sometimes have to check myself to hands off certain things.
Your parents meant well , however you should have protected him (after all this is the man you chose to marry out of millions) and what you should have done was to be the middle person between them all. If his own parents had insisted that you knew how to cook 100 dishes or they made you go for a fertility test before he was allowed to marry you and he agreed to this, you would have been pissed off too.
Secondly I don’t think that your husband earns anywhere near the 120k that he claimed he earns, that’s why he is cagey about his finances and that explains why he is upset that you have money that you have not disclosed to him.
This is a new marriage and you can’t afford to get the foundation & early years muddied as this is what will set the tone for the rest of the marriage.
My advice to you; work with him. You both need to put egos aside. Egos do not build a marriage, they break and damage them. Go to him and explain to him how the money came about and apologise for not letting him know about it. Explain to him the reasons why you need to save the money and why it is not a good idea to spend it. Ask him directly how much he earns and ask him if he needs help financially and how you can both go about sorting finances out. Reach out to him.
You also need to let him be the man, I note that you say you look after yourself and you 50:50 bills. That sounds rather clinical to me. Give him an opportunity to let him spoil you and you be appreciative to him even if he buys you N50 nail polish. Even if you can afford N5,000 nail polish. He who buys N50 nail polish and you appreciate will one day buy you a Range
Also wash your mouth out of the “let it end in divorce” statements. It’s too early and it affects mind-set and will affect your will to make it work.
Sis marriage is sweet but If only both parties are totally committed to making it work.
Unfortunately your husband is not here, so cant advise him Hopefully someone close to him will do that.
Wishing you both all the best. Lé sigh. FINALLY I had honestly resigned myself to only reading the mostly unbelievable comments on this thread so far. My opinion was it's either this woman wasn't really married and just came here to kill boredom OR she is married,is tired of the marriage, and desperately wants out. |

Timbuktuo: So, like I said, the media did Hillary and the world a great disservice by focussing on the 'irrelevancies' of Trump, as it were, they did not give Hillary nearly the same scrutiny and condemnation as thy did Trump. I mean, they literally campaigned free for Trump, he didn't need to spend as much as Hilary did. Dude, was lucky. The medua figured the more they condemned him, the less likely he would win, a wrong gambit. It turns out any publicity was good publicity for Trump. This also made Trump work on himself, by the day of elections Trump was a far cry from his pre-nominee self. He spoke shorter and to the point and said less damaging stuff. That has always been one of his working principles when dealing with the media. He actually made this statement "Any kind of publicity is good publicity for me, as long as they keep talking about me and my buildings", back in the 70s when he was having problems with his real estate in New York and also after buying the Taj Mahal and running into debt in the millions as well as numerous labour disputes. The media was all over those incidents and never said anything good, meanwhile Trump and his then socialite wife kept appearing in expensive public gatherings wearing expensive clothes much to the chagrin of the media. I'm sure he was like "you want to talk? Well here is another thing to talk about for the next one week" And then everytime he went back to the banks and big corporations to get loans or woo financiers, they would still give him money because he was popular. It got to the point other real estate developers would seek his permission and then have the TRUMP name put up on their own buildings just so they can increase the rent. LOL |

I really wish the protesters and disappointed supporters of Hillary would just chill and give him a chance. Donald Trump is not someone who likes to fail at anything, he will negotiate, lie, backstab and go to extreme lengths just to be successful. That characteristic trait of his is what will help him be a great president. Him succeeding at the presidency is a success for all Americans regardless of how he will go about it. And believe me when I say, we ain't seen nothing yet. That man is going to negotiate and cut deals like no one else in recent history. The first person he will use this on will be Paul Ryan. |

SirShymexx: Nah, never that. The likes of Mike Tyson, Dennis Rodman, and T.O don't care about what black people (especially black women) think about them cos they have always been outcasts. But Diddy has a brand, which is mostly consumed by black people, to protect. So, it would be suicidal for him to openly support Trump, especially with emotions running high.
How else would he have won, you say? Van Jones said it best when he said "white-lash" (I was laughing hysterically when he said it cos he so emotionally, tears were almost trickling down his cheeks. C'mon, it's a populist election and white men are making their last stand all over the west right now - to protect white supremacy and maintain control over all what they see as their countries. So, only naive people thought Clinton has a chance without rigging. It started with Brexit. US followed suit. Germany and France are next. White folks are just as tribal as African people - they just suppressed it after world war 2 cos tribalism cost them tens of millions of dead bodies and utter destruction. Hence they enacted structures and autonomy to avoid that. And Western civilisation was built on racism and white supremacy - and only these two can keep it alive, hence they always tell folks to go back to Africa or say folks are trying to destroy their civilisation.
Also, Obama never won the votes of majority of white men in both 2008 and 2012 - minorities, white millennials cos of white guilt and Dubya's failures, and white women cos he kept talking about his white mother - put him there. However, this election was about the fight for the soul of America and Trump appealed to them more cos he spoke like a raw typical white man, without the PC tripe. If you've white male friends, you'd know that "grab her by the pvssy" is what the average white guy would say casually, hence no white woman would find it offensive.
Anyway, white men wanted power cos liberals were doing too much and white women who happen to be majority of the voters gave the power back to their men in lieu of a fellow white who's a liberal and part of establishment that's taking power away from them to satisfy their elitist greed and wealth accumulation. White women are the smartest women out there. They understand power and they know that the status they enjoy was bestowed on them by white supremacy induced by white patriarchy. And they don't fight to win battles - they fight to win wars. Unlike other women who care more about winning battles and not wars. Hence they'll use other women to destroy their own men - while they protect theirs. Just check the percentage of white women that voted for Trump in the rust/battle states - about 70% in some states, including the educated ones who cry about faux-equality in the media.
Regardless, historically, black success anywhere in the west has always triggered white anger. And this was expected after Obama. Hence it's necessary for black folks to stop forcing themselves on white folks and focus on building their own communities like Asians do everywhere they find themselves - before they provoke a race war they'll fvck a lot of up. And liberals won't be there to save their arses when it kicks off cos black folks don't have the numbers to engage white people in a race war. Hopefully, this is the wake up call folks need to wake them up. The grab her by the p***sy thing didn't really trouble my moral compass like the media tried to make it seem. And that's because I know how white guys talk about women when they alone. Obama and the African-American community have had their time to be honest, that's the message the white conservative majority is sending. There will be no black president in the US for the next 50years AT LEAST. |

The founding fathers forebears left England because of religious tyranny and persecution. If you call America a Christian nation, you are absolutely wrong. America has no official religion. America is no Vatican or Saudi Arabia. Some of them were sleeping with their slaves too. I'm rooting for Trump to come good for his own sake. God knows I'm not ready for a nuclear war right now. Clinton made it soooo easy for him to win.
So, if I may ask, who did you vote? Of course, you're under no obligation to answer. Even when I'm in the US,I don't yet have the right to vote just like a lot of visitors/temporary residents/immigrants. sunnyeinstein: Bro, there was no campaign or advert Hillary did without being too concerned about trump but did not mention a single thing she'd do for the American people, only doing a cosmetic job. Whereas, Trump attacked Hillary everywhere and he follows up the derogatory remarks with his plan and how he'd execute them. Trump, as a businessman, knows what the racist white majority wanted to hear and he kept mentioning them wherever he went (take our country back, away with the muslims, hispanics, africans etc) and it worked because no matter how many immigrants are in the usa they cant be more than the whites! Hillary did a Jimi Agbaje job (ibo and lagoon) and u knw das gonna end someone defeated. Finally, the major stupid mistake her campaign team did was to underestimate him in their own so-called blue states and decided not to do major campaign there while trump had footsoldiers in those states... this is the result!
As a last shot, a journalist mentioned that she saw it comin just before trump got the republican nomination at d primaries. How? She said almost all d counties where visited, so many people had trump's name/face/words on their walls, properties, farms etc., meaning they like his message but wont shout about it, unlike all dis stupid celebrities were shouting "I'm with her" about without hearing a single plan, just because dey feel pple lov dem n they can twist dem to vote clinton because trump is too outspoken, mtchew. Lucasbalo: Yes, most of those founding fathers are slave owners too. I guesd you like that. Read the constitution, America wants freedom of religion and she's a secular state. That's why America doesn't sanction any religion. We have have Jews sworn in with Torahs and we have Muslims sworn in with Quran. So you have no point. America doesn't sanction any official religion. In God we trust doesn't indicate Christianity alone. Freedom of religion is an after-the-fact nuance to exercising civil rights, it doesn't mean the country wasn't built on Christian values. Thomas Jefferson and George Washington may not have been ardent church goers but they definitely held strong Christian values. I think George's father was even a pastor. Yea they were slave owners, and that doesn't negate they were also religious folks. Most of the slaves owned by George Washington was inherited. Maybe I have no point, but while I read up on the Constitution, maybe you should read the declaration of Independence. |

https://i1.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article8448402.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/Melania-Trump-waves-Republican-Convention.jpgMelania is Donald Trump's third wife. The former Melania Knauss started dating Donald Trump in 1998, married him in 2005 and gave birth to their son, Barron, the following year. Before Melania, Donald was married for a few years in the 1990s to Marla Maples, a television personality, former beauty queen and mother to Trump's youngest daughter Tiffany. Marla and Donald met while the businessman was still with his first wife, Czechoslovakian Ivana Zelnickova, who he had married in 1977. Ivana and Donald have three children together – Ivanka , Eric and eldest child Donald Trump Jr, who, at 38, is eight years younger than his stepmother Melania. The Clintons went to the wedding between Donald Trump and his current wife.https://i2.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article7933515.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/Donald-Trump.jpgBill and Hillary Clinton were among the 350 guests when Melania and Donald tied the knot at the groom's landmark Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. According to GQ, the bride wore a $100,000 Dior dress with 1,500 crystals, which took a "legendary" 550 hours to make. It had a 13ft train and the bride wore a 16ft veil. Melania Trump grew up in communist Yugoslavia and speaks five languages - Slovenian, English, French, Serbian and German, if you want to know. That linguistic prowess could come in handy at White House functions, but it has been suggested her thick accent is the reason she makes few public speeches alongside her immigrant-bashing husband. Melania was raised away from the glamour of New York high society in a concrete tower block in then Yugoslavia during the rule of Marshal Josip Tito. Now that her husband has become president, Melania is set to become the first first-lady to be born in a communist nation and only the second to be born abroad, after Louisa Adams, the English wife of sixth president of the United States John Quincy, who served from 1825 to 1829.SHE IS THE ONLY FIRST LADY TO HAVE POSED NUDE. Three years before she met Donald Trump, Melania posed nude for a French men's monthly magazine. The "bombshell" photo set, obtained by the New York Post, shows her lying naked in a bed alongside Scandinavian model Emma Eriksson. She supports her husband's hardline stance on immigration. Although it's not surprising for a candidate's wife to back her husband's policies, some were taken aback by Melania's enthusiasm for the Republican's tough rhetoric on migrants, having immigrated to the US herself. "I follow the law," she told an MSNBC interviewer. "I never thought to stay here without papers." She was equally unfazed when pressed about Donald's comments on "criminals" crossing the border into the US. "I don't feel he insulted the Mexicans," she said. "He said 'illegal immigrants'." But she does wish Donald would 'act more presidential'. During a rally in Arizona, Donald told the crowd both his wife and his eldest daughter, Ivanka, don't entirely approve of his behaviour. "My wife and my daughter said to me, 'Act presidential. Act presidential,'" he said.Asked about what habit she would like to see her husband give up, Melania didn't have to ponder her answer for long. "The tweeting," she said. As far back as 2000, Melania told the New York Times that if she were ever first lady, she would be "very traditional – like Betty Ford or Jackie Kennedy". Even though her husband has won the presidency, Melania is the "real winner", says Celia Walden at the Daily Telegraph. "After all, the American dream Melania's been living for two decades now will just keep on getting better." |

Timbuktuo: And people like to say this and label this demographic racist, yet Obama had two terms with this demographic in existence. They either voted for him or he rigged it or all the black and minority vote was cast for Obama twice. There was a surge in voter turnout this time among certain demographics (can't remember the specifics),so this might also explain it. There's also the fact that Obama won the presidency at a time when political correctness was at its peak, most people didn't want to be seen as racist by not supporting Obama back in 08. Among this group, majority of those who came out voted for him while those who just didn't want to vote for him preferred to sit back at home. This time, the Democrat was someone who has been in government for a very long time. Sitting back at home wasn't an option anymore, it's either you vote for Trump to make sure Hillary didn't stay in government like it was her family property or vote to make sure she wins and continue an Obama Third term. Now guess which of those two options would be easier for that group of people who stayed back at home in 08 to avoid being seen as racist. |

raumdeuter: You get it.
The same America most people on here will use as an excuse to ridicule anything African and when I always tell them in most cases America is not much different they go up in arms
If they had told you 2 yrs ago that one country voted a open misogyny racist/tribalist, who bragged about grabbing women by the poosie mocked the disabled, made fun of womens anatomy
At least 80% of people here will swear that can only happen in backward Africa and never in the West aka USA I would never have believed it even if an Angel came to tell me, so yea I get it. Also I see your comments around foreign affairs section where I occasionally chat with some guys,so I know you didn't support Donald Trump in this election even though you are Republican. |
