So you're finally admitting that that someone you care about is why you were balls-out tailing me around like a bounty hunter? LOL. Like I didn't know the first minute I read your profile.

Making a post on that movie thread confirmed my suspicions because you had never commented on that thread before. To the average observer it's a coincidence, to the trained observer it's an aberration.

I'm sorry, girl, but that person you care about is/was an immature jerk. tongue He didn't even know how people communicated over long distance in ancient Oyo empire; he claimed they wrote their messages on sand—so you should understand why I called him a twenty-dollar charlatan with a big mouth.

I'm not trying to be friendly with you. grin I was only complimenting your deductive skills.

I don't try too hard. It's natural and trust me, I try to descend several stations because many folks here can't keep up. Not to brag, but what you think is my peak is only my beginning.

The guy is just like that mosquitos that always sings irrationally in your ears while sleeping. What he was saying makes absolutely no sense. We have something called Rule of Law in America where there is no one thrown to jail without being indicted, prosecuted and found guilty and jailed upon conviction. The guy probably think America is Nigeria where DSS and EFCC just barge into people's homes and carted them to some underground jail in Abuja. I am not surprised with him though. That's why I referenced his Edo residence . The more you try to let him understand the way things work the more annoying he gets.

I stated replace/reduce in an earlier comment? Yea Oris has the flavour but the nicotine content is reduced.

My brand is Dunhill Switch, I also use Pall Mall as a substitute sometimes.

For brands that are completely free of nicotine, I get those outside when I'm not in Nigeria but it can be ordered online if you prefer them. Check some below:

I am a recreational smoker, and I know many guys who don't mind it.

Also depending on where you live, the use of recreational marijuana is legal.

People are not dumb, that she is hanging her desire to not help someone because she has a husband whom she feels should sit at home is evil.
Many people spoke their minds about the woman even before she made her comment and I did not respond to them. I was not blind to those posts they are legit concerns and comments. I mentioned her because she feels the woman should not be helped because she is married and hussy should sit at home while woman goes out to work. Which man would like that. Let us try to put ourselves in others shoes for once. I was never against investigating the woman. I was never against those who said she should go look for work. If she can not see where she was wrong, and if you support her stance that a woman should not be helped because she is married and as such her husband can sit at home while she goes out to work then you are as bad as she is.

If you support her, you are evil too.

anitank:
I don't know why this always happens to me. It's either I'm single with no one saying hi or I have to choose between two people who want me at the same time. It's never in-between.

I met this guy who's just a year older than me (he's 29). He's a nice person with a really good heart but I have a little problem with the fact he's a bit immature. He's always on social media posting very irrelevant stuff, plays mind games with me, not always sure about his decisions and sees nothing wrong with breaking promises. And each time I complain, he thinks I'm overreacting. And even when he apologizes, he goes back to the same thing after a few days. But even with his flaws he has his great sides too. I was really skeptical at first dating someone within my age range because I know the maturity level always differs but I decided to give it a chance and not just assume things, afterall no one is perfect, not even myself. I really do like him but his behaviors gives me concerns. The last time we had a heated argument and I tried breaking up with him, he got really sick and hypertensive and had to take days off work to see a doctor. I had to make up with him. He specifically said he doesn't know if he'd survive if I ever left him.

Now my big sister introduced me to her friend's brother who is way older than I am (he's 40). He's very mature and patient, goes straight to the point, doesn't play any games. He pretty much knows what he wants. We've only spoken a couple of weeks and talked about variety of topics concerning life, family, work, dreams and aspirations etc and trust me nothing beats having a partner you're intellectually in sync with. And although things are not defined yet, you could easily tell where this is going.

The both men have absolutely nothing against me having a son (whose father died few months to our wedding four years ago). The younger guy particularly likes my boy a lot. Never goes a day without asking about him, bought him a game for his birthday and is currently asking what he wants for Christmas. The both men have also introduced me to their parents. I spoke with the younger guy's mum on the phone. The older one took me to his family home and I received a really warm welcome from them. None of us live in the same country but my job takes me around the world and I get to see them whenever I travel to the country they live.

Now this has nothing to do with money or even age but everything to do with me making the right decision and having peace of mind at the end of the day.

Bottom line is I like the younger guy and feel more attached to him and can tell he wants this to work out. He's always talking about having a road trip someday as a family with "our twins" and my son, but it's emotionally draining being with a "man-child" and don't know how long I can wait for him to realize that certain behaviors should be left for teenage boys. If I complain tomorrow, the usual tagline would be "did you not see all those behavior but you stayed thinking he'd change?". At a crossroad now and need a tough-love kinda advice but please don't roast me.

Thanks in advance
This entire post sublimely reveals you're clearly biased towards the older man. You tried very hard to mask it but I can still sense it. tongue

ANYWAY The trump protests consist of almost entirely paid rioters that are being moved around the country on buses. The lowest pay is $180 a day, average pay is right around $400 and top pay is right around $1500. So the people doing the riots are paid a professional wage to do them. If you go into a protest zone, you will be going up against professionals and not legitimate dissent. And they can be NASTY, and it is totally pointless to try to discuss anything with them because they don't care about the cause, they just want to act and get paid.
Hmmmm, interesting

When Jesus comes, a lot still will be achieved because the kingdom of God will be right here on earth. The difference between the kingdom of God, and this soon to end system is that in God's kingdom, everything will be good. There will be no illhealth, no disease, no evil, no wickedness, plenty of healthy food, no slavery etc. Jesus is coming to rid the world of satan. The earth will be transformed into the garden of God.

So seat back and relax, you will see your children and grand children and great great great grand children on this earth, because when Jesus comes we will all have the ability to live as long as trees.

This is the third day! On the third day Christ arose from the dead! He is risen already! He is already walking and talking among us!

Jesus is coming in power and great glory!!! grin

Daboomb:
There are also holes in your analysis!

First, his children live at Surulere, with their mother.
In this age of randy paedophilia (which has a high proportion of mother's Boyfriends committing the crime), the man might be worried for his daughter, seeing what his daughters are being exposed to, at an early age.
So, he has reason to go to that house, to confirm if really, some "Uncle mathew" is seducing hos daughters with Suya.
A responsible woman with three daughters should never expose them to seeing a man sneaking into their mother's bedroom overnight.

Secondly, true, she suffered a broken leg but how that translates into "attempted murder", is the work of incompetent Police men who are probably acting under some financial inducement.
Its a good thing they are even charging him for attempted murder and not Assualt because any good Lawyer will get that charge thrown out, at first attempt.
It could be an aggravated assault charge but Murder is just a stretch, a useless one for that matter.
You dont attempt to kill somebody by hitting them on the leg! grin grin
What happened to hitting them on the head, chest or other sensitive area that are very open and accessible? Nonsense.
How do you "prove" that he attempted to KILL HER?
Murder is not proved by saying he has the "intent", without solid evidence (like a knife cut to the throat or a blow to the head) that expressly confirms that the intent was to kill.... but the attempt failed.

Now, you have mixed-up the picture of the fetus at 5months (when they have limbs) and five weeks when they are just a blob.
Dont be so hasty to defend. You missed it completely.

You also goofed by saying "it was the Judge who amended the case to attempted murder"!
Judges to amend case, they decide on exactly what is brought before them irrespective of what they think.
It is only her Lawyer who can (but in this case, l think it is the Public Prosecutor, the Police IPO, who amended the charge).

Now, as per his defence, the accused, through his Lawyer just needs to show the inconsistency in her stories (lies ) indicating that the court cannot take her word for truth, show her character (like previous terminations for crimes at her former work places) to be somebody who cannot be trusted and that where there is no witness to the event, her version is not worth believing.

I am sure the guy has enough exhibit to show, even if he did assault her, it was due to extreme provocation.
How do you sleep with another man, while carrying a pregnancy for your husband... and then go abort the children just to hide your shameless act? What manner of women do we have these days?

As long as they are still legally married and his children are under that roof at Surulere house, he has all the right to be there.
The person who has no right to be there (and l really hoped it was his head that was broken and it will be legal) is that family destroyer called Mathew.
The husband should counter-sue and join Mathew to the suit.
That way, the matter will be open before the Judge, in all its ramifications

At the end of the day, the Judge will advice them to be Civil with each other or seek a divorce

Another angle to the story is that while the matter is in court (sub judice), some NGO has taken it upon themselves to act as Judge and Jury by tarnishing the image of the husband at his place of work, causing his sack.
When all these is concluded (the assault matter), if he is discharged nd acquitted, he needs to sue the NGO and sue Zenith bank, for qrongful termination and demand very punitive damages.

The assault/attempted murder/infidelity/termination of fetus without consent is a domestic issue.
It has NOTHING to do with his job or Zenith Bank because it did not occur at Zenith bank, while he was on Zenith bank's premises or duty and Zenith should not have acted, without waiting for the decision of the court.
The worst they coul dhave done is place him on temporary leave (with pay), to sort out his legal issues and then act when the court decides.

By sacking him, Zenith Bank has already pronounced him guilty, deprived him of the means to prosecute his case (financially) and acted on a matter pending in court.

I guess the Zenith payout will feed him for the rest of his life.

Employers like Zenith bank, need to understand that when shyt happens between husband and wife, it is to be decided in a family court of law, not in the office and a lot of women at taking advantage and making their estranged spouse to lose their job, in this hard times, even on trumped-up charges.
I'm just going to be honest and admit that your comments so far sound more professionally thought-out. I'm not into law and I don't even like the profession so after reading her first post, I guess I got carried away and was actually one of those who liked it because it looked well analyzed although I didn't quite get some parts.

I think the issue of 'anticipatory guilt' is very much sensible particularly because he has not be pronounced guilty by a court of law, so terminating his appointment on a case that is yet to be decided is overkill.
Perhaps his termination was not linked to the case, and they just used the opportunity to fire him as I heard most banks are currently downsizing. But it still doesn't look good either way.

Thanks for your insight.

Foreign AffairsRe: 2016 US Election - Its Impact On Immigration Enforcement by missjo(op):
linearity:
Let me address your points one after the other:

1. Striking down unfavorable portions of Obamacare via reconciliation and leave the favorable portions.
This is Alice in wonderland wish list, when it comes down to the actual work, it is not possible. The most hated unfavorable portion of Obamacare is the individual mandate and the favorable portions seems to be: removal of pre-existing condition for buying insurance, allowing teens to stay on their parents policies till age 26, removing lifetime caps, etc.

If you look closely, the favorable portions is being paid for by the unfavorable portion, if you remove the individual mandate....Insurance company will not be able to offer any of the favorable portions, because their pool will only contain sick people, no one will be forced to buy insurance until they are sick and the insurance companies will be out of business within a month.

The only sure path is to repeal the whole of Obamacare, or appoint DHS reps that will change rules to undermine the law or starve it of funds, the net effect of any of these is, about 20 million Americans will loose coverage, and all the favorable portions that he promised Americans during the campaign that, he will keep, will be all gone! The Republican will have a lot to answer for in situation like these, next time around at the pool and believe me, despite all the talks, they are approaching 'Repeal of Obamacare' with caution.

2. NAFTA and TPP Dead!
Yes, they can do this, but they risk running the Country into a Recession. By repealing NAFTA, the flow of America manufactured goods and services will also be subjected to the same type of tariff and fees abroad that the American government subjected these countries goods to at the import into American. As we know, no single country is an Island, if American goods & services do not find favorable entrances into markets all over the world, those manufacturing companies that were been protected by these policies in America will crumble under their own weight. Plus, this will exacerbate the problem at the US-mexico border...one of the things NAFTA did was to allow companies strive in Mexico that employed lots of Mexicans, many Agricultural companies sprang up in mexico because they had easy access to America market. Once NAFTA is repealed, all those people will head to border and will invade America for jobs. If Trump like, let him built a 30ft wall, they will construct a 31ft ladder, plus digger additional and bigger tunnels into America.

3. Deport 2-3million illegal Immigrants
Firstly, this will require a huge budget, I doubt is congress is going to appropriate this kind of funds, so this huge task will be left to current ICE agents, plus...it is not true that illegal immigrates do not have these inalienable rights that citizens have. They have a right to due process of the law, you cannot just capture them in the night and ship them home the next morning. Only a judge can order deportation, and if these immigrats have access to good lawyers, they can delay this process for a long time and if this is coordinated, they will clog the court system.

Plus, American businesses love cheap labor, those grocery you see at Walmart and your local supermarket are cheap thanks to the cheap labor from the illegal Mexicans. So All that Trump policies here will achieve is to drive them underground.

If Trump and the GOP truly want to deport 3million illegals, they would have gone after the employers. If the demand is dried, the supply will crumble, but they will not do that, because most of these businesses are own by Republicans and Republican donors.

4. Remember, majority of Americans voted for Hillary. Trump's win is attributed to the fact that, many people stayed home and did not border to vote, most believed that Hillary got it in the bags and did not border to vote. So Trump or the Republicans do not have a mandate here. As they risk loosing their jobs, the next time around, hence they will be very cautious on everything they do.

Will there be any changes with Trump win? Yes! there will be changes, but they will not be as drastic as he suggested during the campaign.
I must admit this write-up of yours was well thought out, but I must also note it is not completely factual.
I'll try and summarize as I don't want to type too much, a lil busy.

- About NAFTA and TPP, the deal is to be renegotiated not repealed.

- About Obamacare, a Republican congress will find a working way around that in such a way that it does not come back to bite their arses in the future. You were right when you said the Republicans are going to be careful about decisions they make, this is why completely repealing Obamacare is not the ONLY sure path and they can't leave it unchanged either with premiums skyrocketing.

- About deporting 2-3million illegals, practically this wont be possible in just four years. It's a gradual and systematic process with stages, and may not require a humongous budget allocation to cover its entirety.

- About Trump not having a mandate, well I suppose this is subject to perception because unlike you implied, more votes were actually cast this time than in 2012 & 08. That there was less voter turnout is a statement that is made when contrasted with population growth between 2012 & 2016.
Republican votes did not stay steady rather it increased proven by the win in some blue states and close race in others, Democrat votes is actually the one that may have been steady or as some pundits claim, even reduced..and NO,its not entirely because people stayed home, its also because a lot of Bernie Sanders supporters weren't completely won over by Hillary Clinton.

Wow, I guess I ended up typing a lot embarassed
