Are you sure about this? Almost everywhere you park gonna get you a parking fee, and illegal parking gets you a ticket.

You could say some places in Yankee necessitate the use of a car, due to absence of public transportations & metros; I think places like Texas fit this description, but my Aunt in Chicago rarely uses her ride except on important occasions.

The liability on it is damn crazy. Na Naija we dey even enjoy car as a necessity due to our cheap PMS and forgiving attitude.

Nothing like abegabeg for Yankee oh, you must pay everything!
I like the first sentence of your second paragraph. That's why I said it's a necessity. The stress of getting to a bus station, waiting & all. It's not like you can just come out and hop in a bus/keke/bike or something that easily. The alternative is taxi & that's expensive to use all the time.

But you are right also in your other point. A place like New York, I guess it's better to use public transport than owning a car mostly cos of parking nightmare. There was a joke about a guy who went to a bank to get a loan. He wanted like say $500 or so. He was asked for a collateral and he gave his car: a limousine & it was parked in the bank's premises. He went away for like a week or so & by the time he came back, the bank had researched about him 'cause they were wondering you would drop a limo for just $500. They found out he was worth millions of dollars. When asked why ge did that, he said, "where else can I park a limo in New York for a week for just $500? In other words, he didn't need the loan, just a place to park the car. You can imagine!

Although I don't think this is possible 'cause if you can afford a limo, you should be able to afford a big house with lots of parking space.

I planned taking my little girl of 4yrs to her grandmother to look after her.if I live her with that evil woman, she may influence her negatively and use her to siphon money from me.
Not a bad idea although the "evil woman" part got to me. But you didn't answer two of my questions: 1) Will your fiancee let go of your daughter without a fight? 2) How old is the little girl?

Hahaha. There's something called loyalty. Something ladies these days lack. You'll see them married yet flirty, you'll see them with a guy, yet imagining being with another at the same time. You no how many side affairs this year alone I don turn down? Don't let me blow ladies open o

If you knew the crisis the family of your so-called enjoyed woman's marriage faced, you self go run. Its stability in spite of external crisis. Pure loyalty.
We still saying the same thing honey. It goes both ways...ladies and guys now misbehave tok much....period!

We know. Check the complains of relationships and start counting the culprit/party at fualt from today. You the defender of all women cheesy If it isn't madness, should ship sail in a sealed relationship? We're asking you ladies of the present age.

I was with a friends mother Twp weeks back and was hosting with the old woman almost 70. The husband just died last year, but I saw the confidence in her husband still standing strong in her like he was present. That's loyalty. Its what folks are complaining about these days.

Make una dey follow una selves dey talk o. Even you Aweleawkaetiti
You know eh, these complaints go both ways. Stop making it look like it's only ladies that misbehave these days. Las las, una go marry unaselves. I no follow. You know I'm different kiss

That woman with her confidence ENJOYED her marriage. That's why she is proud & confident in him even in death. How many people enjoy their relationship/marriage nowadays? Everything is now fake, endures, forced & all for the gram. There's actually no need for comparison between our generation now (male & female alike) & our mothers/fathers.

Go and give thanksgiving and end it Op. She doesn't love you and hasnt grown up. Is easily influenced by outside sources, hence may not be loyal for the long term and can be easily
swayed. That's assuming all you said is true and she is guilty of all you wrote. Cause it takes two to tango

I have been to 2 local shops in my area now, I can’t find sniper.
It's been banned from counters. Most shops no longer sell it except those that are stubborn or those that have old stock.

2 weeks ago or so, after going to about 10 shops & didn't find it, the one that looked like they have were scared to sell because they thought we were from a task force or so sent to spy on them.

The crase to buy a ride in Nigeria is just strong. Thank God my late dad sold cars when he was alive, cars have never freaked me one bit.

If you like say I no fit afford am, na your wahala be that.

I watch foreign movies primarily and my mentality has been shaped by their way of life. Car na liability for Yankee, not an asset at all.
Please, car is not a liability in yankee. It's not even really a luxury. Rather, it's a NECESSITY.

I just have this confession, in 2009 when Nokia C3 was reigning, I used my sister's own to browse and download nonsense then and delete everything (leaving no trace) without her noticing.

Battery will be drained, and data and airtime spent. And she innocently go to work without getting to check.

If she knew then, my naive mind never stopped that act.

God help me.

MissJoy29 please come o.

At the topic, see, it really disgust me too. I have lived in Abuja since I was born and I really hate the way people package their being broke and leech and live lives of indebtedness. There are well to do people who live within their means and don't golddig. But the numbers are really scaling up, see those boys with tattoos, some of them belong there.

You're adjudged the broke one if you don't play along, they knock at your door very early/late in the night to beg their guys for monies. They run generators on fuels bought from borrowed monies and all.

She's right, ladies in Abuja are really trying to have a stable lifestyle but gigolos will trace her and destroy her.

Abuja has one of the most pathetic, yet unrepenting people in Nigeria.
I'm leaving that City for good.

You don't fix your financial issues by cutting or drawing up alternative solutions but through transfer of debt
Wow. Is it that bad? A very close family friend fell victim to their deceit. She lost ALMOST all.

These are some of the things I can't recover from.

A woman who's unwilling to accept that her actions, and inactions are driving you mad, but still refuse to change such is very bad.

I'm very patient but I don't know how long it will last.

He's tried but the wife has to try too.
Actually the worst is knowing they drive you mad but purposely REFUSING & UNWILLING to change.

Scary things dear. Scary things.

What about buying airtime worth thousands on your phone and transferring it.... Deleting any transaction details before you know. And what about having access to your hotspot without your permission( case study; my wife and his brother). There are a lot of reasons you should lock your phone.
Even the transfer of airtime can't work except the person has your transfer pin. So we still saying same thing.

For hotspot, except you are a phone guru like me, my phone may not have password & my hospot may be "open" & yet you can't access my data.

I'm not saying it's bad to lock phones o. I'm only saying there are still some things one can't do on our phones even if it's not locked. The main reason I lock my phone is cos of text messages, mails and chats and maybe call log. Some people don't understand what PRIVACY means. Every other thing like mobile banking app is protected on its own.

Many thing to lose bro. Once can access your informations. Your phone is linked to your account. Anybody can borrow or make transaction with your phone.
Not possible. Except that person has your transaction pin. And if it's the mobile app, it has an unlock pin that most times will be different from the transaction pin. So.....

I don't use pattern, pin or password. I don't lock my phone. It's my phone so why should I stress myself to open it. If it ever gets lost or stolen I can issue a command to erase the phone.
