amolak:Rainbow Fm is actually in Ogun state. Isheri, to be precise. Less than 5km to Lagos. |
Tascocent:It's located in Arepo, Ogun state. About 7mins drive to Lagos. |
Ajibel:Why aren't people getting your original post? I'm shocked. Most of them have attacked you, even though you are saying the same thing. |
It's sad that the culture of using fire extinguishers isn't ingrained in us, Nigerians. Not all public buildings even have them. |
Follow @Ibviewpoints for more beautiful pictures of Ibadan.

jaymejate:I'm also schooling here. But I must admit, Ibadan is being underrated. More can still be done though. |
The Agbowo complex makes me so sad. The building is just wasting away. Would easily generate millions annually.

Continued. There is one popular amala joint in the last picture here.

I've always been curious about Ibadan. The city usually comes under undue criticism. Now a resident of Ibadan, I see Ibadan for what it is. A modest, liveable city. Lagos without steroids. Can you identify these places in Ibadan? All the pictures are courtesy @Ibviewpoints on Twitter. Follow them for more breathtaking pictures of Ibadan. The picture of Mapo Hall is courtesy @BeardedCoquet. Enjoy.

Hello everyone! Came across this thread some months ago but haven't been active. As an introvert, it's usually hard for me to initiate conversations. I was in a wedding ceremony in June with an extremely extrovert friend. Dude was chatting away and making friends. I was stuck with a lady who I wanted to converse with but I didn't know how to initiate. Such thing happened a few weeks later at another wedding. Concerning maintaining eye contact, this is an aspect of me that I've just developed recently. I just let my gaze wander around the other person's face. So, I am getting there. Talking in public has always been herculean. But I discovered that I really enjoy talking in public once I know the subject very well. I've just been appointed the president of a student association and this requires talking in public with eyes on me and making on the spot decisions. I can't afford to fail. Recently, I just discovered that my 11 year old sister exhibits traits of introversion. I had a discussion with her sharing my own experiences when I was her age. I'll monitor her and provide a listening ear. |
I vote Fynestboi. Courtesy Jarus. |
nnokwa042:But you have access to the Internet. Why not research on why Muslims visit Saudi Arabia annually. Also, check the meaning of pilgrimage. |
Interesting topics just like I bloggers about the Ooni here. ![]() |
Salam alaikum. I'll like to attend the Ibadan's. Here are some questions though. 1. Will the programme of event also follow the Lagos template? 2. Where exactly in Iwo road will it be held? 3. Has the lecturer issue been sorted? 4. Do we have a Nairalander(s) who is/are spearheading the organization of the Iftar? Ibadan- Misterh. cc Wizeboy |
The Ooni was in Abuja for an event. The event was also attended by the Emir of Kano. So the king did not leave his palace for the purpose of visiting Atiku. Why not see Atiku while in Abuja? |
Really beautiful. |
poseidon12:Someone at the Senate to say something about it?? Don't they have laws to legislate on? Did Obama also allow Michelle to be insulted here?
|
MrGerald:I ask you to give me the source of your information but you say I'm disconnected from reality. What's the correlation please? |
IpeleOlalekan:I should be the one asking you if you reason at all. Even though i supported the emergence of this administration, I've been a critic of its activities. Rather, I'll not be like you that thinks everything Buhari does should be criticized. Even non issues like covering of hair by Adeosun is a source of criticism for you. Is that what opposition politics entails for you? |
IpeleOlalekan:Wow... Just from one pic of covering her hair (probably out of her own volition), you conclude that she has low self respect? 2. Yes, Nigeria is a second class nation. The truth is Qatar doesn't need Nigeria for them to prosper. We're the one going to them for assistance. Do you even know how much they have in their reserve? Compare that with ours. 3. How did you know she can't hold her own in a gathering like this? Don't make me choke on laughter by saying it is because she's covering her hair. |
MrGerald:Source of this info? Were you part of the delegation? |
Op even said when next she finds herself in an Arab country, she should VEHEMENTLY refuse to cover her hair. I laugh at this brazen show of idiocy. Has it occurred to him that we're probably the one going to beg Qatar for assistance? Yet, you'll want something as trivial as covering hair to block a beneficial relationship between two countries? If the op knows anything about politics, he'll know the importance of compromises. This is even a non issue. |
The fact that the op, in his pseudo-intellectualism, thinks that she was forced to wear that is disgusting. Obviously, you were not there to know if it was her decision or not. You came across a picture and in your quest to demonize PMB, you formulated a theory to say that Adeosun was intimidated. Pics of representatives of Western countries covering their hair have been posted on this thread. Were those representatives also forced to cover their hair? I spit on this thread and its proponents. |
Osquare88:These folks are stupid. They'll find fault even in how Buhari drinks water. |
id911:From a single pic of her covering her hair, you conclude that she is being intimidated by the Arabs? I guess Michelle is also being intimidated by the Indonesians here, right?

This is a brutal case of man's inhumanity to man. God bless the Danish lady, Ms Anja. |
