jamejanev:You don't have to prove anything to me. If you can't separate Islam and the politics of Saudi Arabia, that's not the fault of Islam. If you can't also separate Islam from Arabs, that's not Islam's fault. Islam teaches inclusion irrespective of race but it is a well known fact that Arabs are racist towards black folks. Again, how is that Islam's fault? If indeed you know Islam, you'll know that Islam is a religion of rules. In reference to this topic of beheading, Saudi Arabia has the death penalty for drug trafficking, same as Thailand and Malaysia. But people have problems now because it is Saudi Arabia that is involved. They didn't complain when Thailand executed some condemned prisoners years ago. Or is it the beheading that they have issues with? How is beheading, which is swift and painless by the way any different from firing squad or the electric chair? You claim that majority of the killings in the world are carried out by Muslims. Do you mind proving that? Again, if you're linking Islam with the unrest in the Middle East, you're again making a mistake. Back to your claim of not going for Hajj because of Saudi Arabia, it's amusing that you claim to be a Muslim but you assume going for Hajj means doing Saudi Arabia a favour or approving what their govt is doing. Going for Hajj is a religious rite that is mutually exclusive from the politics of Riyadh. |

IJEYdiamond:I hope you know that even in the US, there are some states that still have the death penalty. Also, I hope you know that beheading is even quick and painless unlike the other methods such as firing squad and hanging? In Thailand and Malaysia, they have the death penalty for drug traffickers. If you believe a country should be lenient on a crime that they believe eats up their country, that's your issue. |

osuofia2:No, you got the numbers wrong, princess. Millions go for pilgrimage and there's nothing you can do about it. And no, the money tey spend is not our commonwealth, it is their money and it is none of you business. If you or your belief think all sinners should go scot free, that's your problem but in Islamic jurisprudence, there are consequences for EVERY action. In countries like Saudi Arabia, their rules are well known. So if you break such rule, that's your fault. I hope you keep this same energy for Thailand, Malaysia and some other Asian countries that have the death penalty for drug trafficking. Or is your rage only limited to Saudi Arabia. |

jamejanev:If you're really a Muslim (which I highly doubt that you are), you'll know that going for Hajj has nothing to d with the authority of Saudi Arabia or other Islamic countries. It's strictly for religious purposes. Even in the midst of the row with Qatar, Qatar citizens still go to perform Hajj. Even though Saudi Arabia and Iran are foes, Iranians still go for pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. So oga, talk another thing. So you mean to say that some of the people Saudi Arabia government have beheaded are innocent? What's your source of this? Careto give an example? You can spew whatever you want to on Nairaland without claiming to be a Muslim, please. Others have been spewing such nonsense before you and others will continue to do so after you. Claiming you're a Muslim doesn't lend credence to your claim. 1 Like |

zionzoe:Oga, after all is said and done, beheading is still the least painful of the execution methods listed above. It is swift and painless. It's not a matter of whether his seeds will have a taste or not. |

ajebuter:Morality is subject to individual interpretation. How do you think the person who administers the lethal injection in other countries will feel of he finds himself on the other side? There's absolutely nothing wrong in what the man is doing. |

Hope you keep this same energy and prayer for the hangman and the one in charge of electric chairs and the one in charge of administering lethal injection in other countries though? 1 Like |

Obi1kenobi:It stems from the fact that a lot of those objecting beheading have not thought about it. It's quick and painless, unlike firing squad where the convict might not die immediately and have to be shot in the head thereafter or hanging, where the victim is on serious agony before he/she dies. 1 Like |

jabberjawz:So you think that a man who has won the league in all the countries he has been to and has won the UCL twice with 2 clubs is overhyped? Would you rather Pep leaves Man City to go and coach Dundee Utd before he's regarded as a great manager? Or maybe Ancelotti, Conte, Del Bosque, and other top managers should go coach Millwall FC before they're regarded as top managers. 1 Like |

habsydiamond:Isn't the market where the protest held where they are assaulted regularly? Would you rather they protested in VI or FESTAC? What do you even mean by 'they should pass the message to those that will value it'? A group of uncouth men in a market are harassing ladies and those ladies took a protest to THAT market to express their displeasure and you say they should pass the message to those that will value it? Is it me that doesn't harass ladies that they should have come to? |

Sotland:Quick question, Oga! So if a lady dresses in bikini in public, does that give a guy the right to touch her without her permission? It's even insulting to think that men are seen as monsters without brains who can't keep his hands to himself and always looking for ladies to prey on. But these traders have shown that they're monsters. |
Romance / Re: "Stop Touching Us" Campaigners Assaulted By Yaba Traders (Pics, Videos) by misterh(m): 10:29am On Dec 16, 2018 |
habsydiamond:So you believe ladies asking not to be touched inappropriately isn't supported by Nigerian laws? I really do not understand people's issues with feminism. A lady asked not to be groped and called demeaning names and all you think about is that 'Nigeria law does not support feminism'. If you think the protest was about feminism, yes it is because feminism preaches that ladies should have control over their bodies and not be touched without their permission. You should also know that it's their right to demand not to be touched inappropriately. 1 Like |

Travel / Re: Saudi Arabia Retains 95,000 Quota For Nigeria Pilgrims by misterh(m): 7:39pm On Dec 14, 2018 |
ajl:That's because you need to separate religion from politics. Because the Crown Prince has done what he did doesn't mean he is supported by Islam and/or Muslims. Going to Mecca for pilgrimage is a religious duty between your Lord and you and is not subject to what the anyone else does, whether ruler or not. |
Travel / Re: Saudi Arabia Retains 95,000 Quota For Nigeria Pilgrims by misterh(m): 7:36pm On Dec 14, 2018 |
buJu234:Pilgrimage is a religious duty. So the Sultan can't just declare the Muslims should throng to Sokoto for a religious duty. |
Travel / Re: Saudi Arabia Retains 95,000 Quota For Nigeria Pilgrims by misterh(m): 7:33pm On Dec 14, 2018 |
DedeNkem:While it's wrong for the government to use state funds to sponsor citizens for religious duties, know that majority of those going for the pilgrimage are NOT being sponsored by the government. More than 80% are going with their own money. So your claim about the govt spending money on 95,000 pilgrims is flawed. |
Travel / Re: Saudi Arabia Retains 95,000 Quota For Nigeria Pilgrims by misterh(m): 8:11am On Dec 14, 2018 |
DedeNkem:I hope you know that each country has their quota of pilgrims who can participate in the annual pilgrimage. It's a way the Saudi Arabia govt plans to accommodate and plan adequately for the millions who attend. This has nothing with your claim about Northerners doing everything to make Nigeria Islamic. |
