The advantage with Trove is that you don't have to worry about the documentation/paperwork necessary to get your dividends and I think they also offer fractional shares on Nigerian stocks. But as someone mentioned, you're not a "direct" shareholder, I think they own the shares and do the book-keeping necessary to proportion the shares. I'd recommend them if you are not planning to hold long term.

You can also try Chaka, they use Citi Investment Capital as brokers, so your name appears directly on the shares you own. I'm not sure if they deal with the paperwork for receiving your dividends for you.

A friend just called me of how he was embarrassed by his Sister inlaw because of the money she borrowed him sometime ago.

According to him, his Sister-inlaw came to his house last week Wednesday to ask for the money. But unfortunately he did not have the money to give to her but he however promised her on Wednesday this week.

He made the promise hoping that the company where he works was going to pay him yesterday Wednesday. But unfortunately, the company later prosponed it to tomorrow Friday.

Now according to him, the Sister inlaw came to his house today to ask of the cash. When he was trying to explain to her that the company has shifted payment till tomorrow Friday, the Sister-inlaw starting yelling at him with a very loud voice even neighbours around were hearing her yelling. She called him stupid and foolish even in the presence of his wife. Now my friend is highly diverstated, he said he does not even know how his neighbours will start seeing him with the kind disgrace meted on him by his Sister in law.

Now has lack of money caused you any form of embarrassment in life before? If yes, how did you manage to hold back? Your comments are highly welcome!

What I don't understand is why a grown man will borrow money without any intention of paying back. If you wait for a lender to ask for their money back then you know you've owed for too long.

I'm not saying her approach was right but sometimes if you don't behave that way, people will push you about.

An American professor was removed off the plane because she was allergic to pets and didn't want to sit near a dog in the plane.
A Nigerian woman and her kids who bought a first class tickets were kicked out of the plane because another passenger complained she had body odour.

They do not have the final say, don't be blinded by your sentiments. They are guided by the rules of the airline. If you took the time to read up on the instances you cited, you'd find out that the airlines cited rules that the passengers broke.

Even at that, if you feel a rule isn't fair or infringes in your rights, you can go to court.

You are not a judge and you can't adjudicate over a matter and say a person doesn't have the right to seek for a redress.

What I don't understand is how anybody can defend the pilot and say he can deplane a passenger because he doesn't like him. That is not a valid reason.

Again I state my point, a pilot or air hostess or airline carrier cannot kick you off a flight arbitrarily after you've boarded, you have to be breaking a rule.

There is no act or law to that effect. The pilot doesn't "own" the aircraft, he acts on behalf of the aircraft carrier.

An aircraft carrier doesn't have the right to cannot remove a passenger except for security reasons. This is a fact even by international law(FAA). The passenger can rightfully sue for damages and I would add assault, if I were him.

Please point me to a local law that supports your opinion.

He has the power and has permission to use it. You do not argue or fight, when a pilot tells you to get off his plane, you get the eff off.

I doubt your friends phone was new. I've seen them repackage used phones in good condition and market them as new phones.
Their explanation about battery health is not tenable as 5% is too much. All new phone, as long as they were bought directly from Apple, should have 100% battery health.

The only way to guarantee that your phone is new if you buy it in Nigeria is not by the packaging, check the IMEI on any reputable IMEI check service and make sure it doesn't show as activated..
