Should the cabinet members be worried about their jobs or managing their campaign.
Should they be paid with taxpayer's money while they campaign and neglect their duties?

Any information used maliciously is tantamount of ridiculing the victim, hence an offense. So, why is the academy awards banning will smith for ten years and letting Chris Rock, the one who incited everything walk away freely like he's the victim. This world ehn

Yes,I find it out hard to no because of the fear of being criticized
You say "yes" not for fear of being criticised, but because you fear offending the other person.

You place a lot of importance on your public image, you want to please everyone so that they think you are a good person. This will not get you anywhere but would rather enslave you to your fellow man.

Do not live by the opinions of others. Man is fickle; you can sacrifice all for someone and they'll forget the good you've done tomorrow.

Business / Re: Rebuttal- Lies About Flutterwave By David Hundeyin. by Miyachi: 9:56am On Apr 13, 2022
I'm not sure this totally qualifies as a rebuttal.

There is a case before the Industrial Court concerning the company defrauding a former employee of their stock options. Then their is the allegations of insider trading; buying back stock options below their fair market price (forcefully, if I may add). The accusations of sexual impropriety is not even addressed.
Business / Re: Rebuttal- Lies About Flutterwave By David Hundeyin. by Miyachi: 9:38am On Apr 13, 2022
What does God have to do with any of the allegations?

Well, perhaps he has some more damning information than this, but until he post them, this right here is hogwash. I personally have not seen any insider trading for now. And if you guys are referring to the buy-back activities with the stock options, then it's nonsense because most stock options comes with a first-right-of-refusal clause.

It is insider trading.

https://www.lexology.com/library/detail.aspx?g=e24dc4ab-2a77-43d9-8a78-9ea46eca1aca#:~:text=The%20insider%20trading%20laws%20apply,private%20companies%20and%20employee%20shareholders

TL;DR

1. The insider trading laws apply to private companies as well as to public companies, and to transactions with employees and employee stock plans as well as with third-party shareholders.
Moreover, this case emphasizes that the SEC will prosecute cases involving private companies and employee shareholders.

2. The SEC believes that valuations used as a basis for buying shares from employees should be current as of the date of purchase when companies tell their shareholders that purchases will be made at current “fair market value.”

3. Family-owned companies should beware of behavior that could suggest that the family is using its control position to increase its ownership percentage at the expense of employees and other shareholders.

I read the whole thing all I see here is office romance gone wrong and personal vendetta.

So this David boy wants to destroy a $3B company because of a CEO who couldn't keep its third leg in check? The dunce was even expecting investors to kill the company because "the money invested is insignificant compared to their pool". Is that guy insane?
You clearly don't get the big picture. This might be something potentially akin to the Wework scandal.

There's insider trading and clearly it seems Flutterwave is worth much less than its valuation (but hey, which tech unicorn isn't?). We can't see their financials so we can't know for sure. There's just something ominous about the story, it seem like he hasn't even scratched the surface.

ETHICALLYrlght:
The flutterwave chronicle is the biggest exposé of the Nigerian Fintech space that is saturated with founders whose backgrounds and antecedence do not corroborate their sudden success narratives.

If you didn't read David Hundeyin's publication, my summary is as follows:

1. The villain of the story was an influential Access Bank staff who used Access Bank's name and identity to secure investment for his flutterwave startup.
Moral Lesson: I do not blame entrepreneurs like Dangote who hire many Indian professionals in management.

2. The same villain reneged on his agreement with one of the foremost employees and executive of the firm regarding an important oral shareholding agreement.
Moral Lesson: Always write down and sign every agreement even with family.

3. The same villain employed the counsel who was holding brief for the aggrieved ex-employee at the National Industrial Court. The counsel abandoned the claimant and represented the defendant.
Moral Lesson: The Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners in Nigeria prohibits a counsel from representing an opponent in a particular case. There are no rules when money is involved in Nigeria.

4. The same villain sexually abused another employed victim for years and proceeded to influence her new employer after she left flutterwave.
Moral Lesson: We should support our girls, sisters, daughters and nieces! They are endangered even in the most formal and literate spaces in this country .

5. The same villain sells stocks valued at $20 for less than $4 behind closed doors.
Moral Lesson: You're a sheep if you still think that forces of demand and supply determine prices at the stock exchange and money market. Prices are controlled by mafias.

I hope one day we'll comprehend how young men whose start-ups have less than half-a-million apps download on both APPLE Store and Google Play Store were able to dash Big Brother Naija 2billion Naira as headline sponsors grin

Wow! just saw that the had 50,000+ downloads on Playstore, less that 100k. What's the hype around this company all about?

Family / Re: US-based Couple Accuses Nigerian Surrogate Mother Of Absconding With Twins (pic) by Miyachi: 10:54pm On Apr 09, 2022
socialmediaman:
I know this story is probably way more complicated than what was posted here.

If a written agreement exists with these alleged terms included, then the surrogate has a case, but still, it may be case of the US couple having their baby and paying compensation to the surrogate for reneging on parts of the agreement. Also, considering that the US couple don't have the authority to guarantee a US visa, that portion of the agreement may be invalid already. It's like promising to make someone President of Nigeria if they donate to your charity. Your money is gone, bro.

If there was no written agreement, then the case becomes even more complicated. But the fact that she admits there was a surrogacy agreement and she accepted 600K from the couple means there was actually a surrogacy agreement, and US couple may get the child in the end. The surrogate may even get in trouble for reneging on the agreement with concocted stories. There have been many cases of surrogates changing their minds and refusing to give the baby to the couples
I don't think that is how the law works. If I draw up an agreement/contract with impossible terms, it means I can't enforce such contract, especially if those terms or conditions were impossible to complete from the inception of said contract. Also, in contractual law, an agreement can either be verbal or written.

The american couples will win....na their babies....there was a contract....were those her "terms" written or just through handshakes.....they must be clearly stated fa. Otherwise, it's her words against their words. The obvious facts are:

1. Complainer was a surrogate
2. She got consideration for the contract
3. Babies are here now
4. She is refusing to hand them over.

She is in obvious breach....the kids are not hers. Highest is she would get some additional compensations but if the couple wants to finish her, she'll be the one paying them despite handing over the babies.
Did you read were they breached the terms of the contract? She is in her right to terminate the contract if the terms agreed upon have not been fulfilled. If this case is tried in any competent court, they are clearly losing.

I don't even think they're fit to be parents.

Well, I suppose you're a Christian too. You should be conversant with Jesus' words when he told the crowd that came to stone the adulterous woman that "he that is without sin should cast the first stone." I'm no angel, I admit my faults. However, those lustful feelings I talked about are much more common than you think. You cannot prevent a bird from perching, but you can prevent it from building a nest on your head. Even you are not exempted if you are honest enough to admit it, except you're a eunuch.

Also, I have received forgiveness and there is now no condemnation for me in Christ Jesus. Therefore, I refuse to allow your "stone" to hit me. And I hope you have removed the log in your own eyes before coming to remove the speck in mine.

All the same, I kept his contact because we still work for the same organisation, and communication lines should be kept open.

Shalom

The correct expression should be "You cannot keep birds from flying over you head but you can keep them from building a nest in your hair".
I think what he's trying to say is that you've not fully shut that door. A part of you still craves his attention and companionship so you've left the door slightly ajar. If he can get a foot in the door, possible he can let himself in.

Also, I think you made a joke of your husband by telling your colleague how he felt about the frequency of the calls and still making a decision to continue after your return. The whole romance only turned sour by happenstance (or God's grace, if you could call it that) because you had no plan of pumping the brakes.

Really?
So what is used to send and receive enaira?

You clearly don't understand what you are talking about. The central idea behind blockchain is decentralization; eNaira was not designed to be decentralized. I'm guessing it's just an application with an SQL database at the backend, it's is no different from the mobile banking app you use everyday. eNaira is not "sent", values are just being changed in a database somewhere.

The nerve. They'll blame the younger generation that they've impoverished and starved. The thugs that happily do their biddings when the elections come around and the sugar babes that they've enslaved for their selfish desires. They had everything on a platter of gold, yet they messed up. Nigeria could have been the envy of nations but here we are.

They can't own up to their incompetence yet the foist their expectations on the children they've starved.

What I'm even surprised is why this didn't follow the normal procurement process? Was it advertised so that credible and competent contractors could submit bids? I'd argue that he should be probed for misconduct but this is Nigeria.

This throws up a lot of red flags.
Why would a contractor incorporated less than 2 years ago, a turnover of less than 100mln and no history of having completed similar projects be awarded a contract to the tune of billions of naira??

There is more to this than he is letting on, this man is a greedy, corrupt pig.
