I totally agree with TCHIDI's viewpoint on this matter.
Despite the north kicking against a restructured Nigeria, Nnamdi could have instead agitated for restructuring even as other regions clamour for it too. Nobody is enjoying Nigeria the way it is.
Besides development, a restructured Nigeria would give the Igbos the sense of belonging they have been denied of so far.
And even in the event of a failed restructuring agenda, Nnamdi could have been a major figure in alternative regional arrangements to make the region enviable.
Secession is regarded as treason, no matter how "non-violent" you intend to go about it.
All u said I agree with except that. Old can you enlighten me how the igbos have been denied a sense of belonging? I was referring to the national scheme of things (Aso Rock particularly) and how the Igbos don't get the opportunity like their Hausa and Yoruba counterparts. It will take God's grace for an Igbo to become a vice-president or president of Nigeria. In a restructured Nigeria with each region to its own government running its own affair, the Igbo ethnic group will feel a sense of belonging hitherto denied them in the integrated Nigeria. However, internal divisions in the region is what they may just have to deal with. |

castrol180: You are a coward and cowards die hundred time before their death. How can someone that piss from behind turn you against your family and you are here begging for advice. Tell me who is your comrade? Comrade of what sort? They sent you to higher institution and now one with monthly blood stain under her opening now decided to turn you to your family who can never leave you in life but she can leave you at any point in time when things are no more bubbling... I am not your comrade boy, look for your type here on nairaland and form comradeship. Coward and smelling girl rapper. As in ehn, the op vexed me so much that I transferred some portion of the aggression to the people here advising him. Such a spineless man I swear down. I will never allow anybody (man & woman) to use my head in this life. It is very annoying that some people actually allow it. The reason why the matter he has raised confuses him actually confuses me. Even if he has invested too much into his union with the lady, it's not a valid excuse to be confused about this matter. To even think that he belongs to a good family...and he is here asking for opinions on whether or not to marry the lady in question. To the op, your major mistake was that you did not familiarize her with the family very well before the trad. Now, she is exhibiting what she concealed before with the hope that she has tied you to herself with the trad. (stupid mentality of some ladies). She is being defensive against any subsequent manipulations/control that she thinks your family will have over you (and herself especially) after you both settle down. |

makydebbie: I said logical. Yeah, men are logical than women. Most women just talk, talk, talk and think less. - And it affects their sense of reasoning and judgment. More often than not, women's talk-talk brings up trouble. - On the whole, men get sense pass women. - The excessive talk leading to things like trouble, exposure of each other's secret is why a good number of women don't keep their fellow women as besties, a man instead. - She may not be very close to other men for it to happen, but (for obvious reasons), chances that her male bestie will not get in-between her legs at one point in time or the other is very slim, except if she subdues him and by extension friendzone him and the guy allows it. |

RIP to the departed souls. / To the atheists saying all what-nots, this is for you: you have nothing to lose if you believe God exists all along but find out that He did not exist afterall. / But you have so much to lose if you don't believe that He exists only to find out that He existed afterall. / You expected Him to have intervened in a situation like this in this world that has gone bad with everything in it? Salvation, holiness and the worship and obedience of God is now a personal thing between each individual and God. Not all the churches are with God as not all men of God are men of God. | |

TV/Movies › Re: Game Of Thrones And 4 Other Series Nigerians Overhype by MNDY(m): 5:00pm On Jul 31, 2017 |
Tomide12: Away from the hustle and away from life’s worries. We tend to ease stress by entertaining ourselves. When you are deeply amused by Tonto Dike’s marriage theatrics, you may forget that the person sitting beside you has body odour. Movies and series are one guilty pleasure for those who indulge. They spend late nights or weekends to ensure they catch up with their beloved shows.
So just because we love TV and movies too and we enjoy trolling the people that share this our guilty pleasure, let's kuku run through the top 5 TV series that we Nigerians love to overhype. Starting for the king of them:
1. Game of Thrones
We know anything other than profound praise is taken as sacrilege when it comes to Game of Thrones. So before you come for my head, hear me out first.
Game of thrones recently dominated the screens and social media. Nigerians are downloading pirated copies and sharing with their friends. Everyone is talking about winter. Winter is coming they say. First of all, the rave was about the Lannisters, then Jon snow and now Arya Stark or is it Tyrion the dwarf. Ah, let us not forget about Daenerys mother of dragons. After crying about the loss of one character, we always find a way to latch onto another. It is not surprising therefore that for the past two weeks, almost everyone is talking about the 7th season of GOT. Banners, graphics, and even memes are trolling the internet. It got so bad that even haters took to twitter to boast on how they had not watched a single episode. But abeg who that one epp? What is it about GOT that is making people stay so faithful?
2. How To Get Away With Murder
People who did not know about the wonder of Viola Davis got to know about her in HTGWM. She embraced the character Annalise keating so well that it got her an EMMY award. We do not know why Nigerians love this series. But we suspect it is because we are fascinated with getting away with crime legally. Annalise is smart and the way she works with her ambitious students makes the thrill top notch. The suspense here is over the bar and is definitely not for the faint heart. If you are in trouble with the law, you know who to call.
3. Suits
This is another series revolving around law and its legalities. Harvey Specter is a brilliant lawyer and when in need of an associate he hires Mike Ross. Mike, however, is a college dropout but this doesn’t deter him from being smart and witty. We follow them both as they turn from friends to allies and sometimes dangle on a thin thread of betrayal. The series is not only entertaining but also educative. If you are a fan of suits please let us know. What is fascinating about white dudes wearing suits and plotting how to outwit each other?
4. Scandal
Olivia Pope thrives on scandals. From being the President’s media consultant to having her own crisis management firm. She seems to know how to clean up other peoples lives except hers. Her clients have histories and secrets that must be taken care of and so does she and her staff. Again, we can see that Nigerian want to know how to get away with anything. It is a pity that we may not be able to have our own Olivia Pope unless your baba in the village is strong.
5. Power
This series shows that it is only a ghost that can run the underground business and be good at it. It is, however, a pity that Nigerian ghosts are only good at finding their soul mate or looking sideways to cross the road. James St. Patrick the Ghost has a successful nightclub but what you may not know is that he also runs another operation: a drug empire that serves only the rich and influential. You see Nigerians we too like bad things. We may have had our own ghost in Evans but we are happy that his identity has been revealed.
Nigerians like a good story, we like power and danger. We love the thrills that come with being smart and witty. And yes we overhype what we love. Well, I am in my house watching “Nkoli Nwa Nsukka”, you cannot get to me.

The marital life of actors/actresses is a very complicated one. So, they shouldn't act movies with sex scenes because they are married?
I object to her husband's approval anyways, someone said he is spineless and I kinda agree with that.
Or could it be that he was free with it because he himself is worse as he also has his own extramarital affair(s) and feels like this one is but just a fake sex scene afterall.
Wale's choice of words was wrong. REAL would indicate real sex. No 'body double' would have been better. |

MC Galaxy you are a dumbass fool 'cause Tekno no be your levels. Sekem virus is damaging your poo brain!
Wizkid is just a destiny-hunter wizard hunting down the glorified Davido OBO. Only the gullible mindset who know nothing about music would rate Wizkid than Davido. Just the 30billion album of Davido shut down Wizkid's whole music career.
Wizkid keeps singing fake music featuring American talents but he has never come closer to any of them in videos. Always fake like naija fixed matches!
You guys should just chill and wait for the video of "if remix" by Davido featuring R-Kelly to see the apparent difference between "Omo baba olowo" and "Omo Ojuelegba"
Wizkid my ass
Giving it all to OBO
Davido all the way!
If I tell u say I love u oooo First things first, that R-Kelly IF remix is so lit I totally fell in love at first listen. Kels went one hundred on it I swear down! For Davido to make R-KELLY a living legend jump on his song like that no be small thing, and I must say I am very proud of Davido for such feat. On the other hand, Davido should leave Wizkid alone. The boy moved from nothing to something and he should be left alone to enjoy God's goodness upon his life without troubles. That short Davido of a guy has always been an ajebutter, seeking mere fame and acceptance from music. I understood that from the lyrics of his first song BACK WHEN (ft. Naeto C). Because how can an ajebutter like him suffer neglect and rejection if it was not caused by his height. |

The rate at which a lot of people are engaged in farming & the general awareness created in the public about diversifying & agricultural revolution, I can bet my two cents that the prices of these goods would shimmer down when supply continue to increase.
To those mentioning, agriculture is a must, importation of everything we eat, wear, even our gadgets are imported. The strides and achievements we recorded when agriculture was our major activity cannot be matched by a corrupt filled & income dwindling oil sector. Well, harvest is just around the corner after very intense widespread farming activities; people cultivated almost every single piece of land. |
