Found the list and searched for Qataris on the list. Asides, the charity organizations, the list contained individuals who are accused and there was nothing suggested the Qatari government supported them. Now, out of all the list of Qataris, some were/are sanctioned by the US and UN, were arrested, served jail terms or even on exile. This is according to Wikipedia. Others who haven't been sanctioned are only accused but work with organisations like the UN. A few didn't have wikipedia pages so.....I couldn't get any info on them http://gulfnews.com/news/gulf/qatar/qatar-linked-people-groups-on-terror-list-1.2040686 Both the pentagon and US ambassador to Qatar have stated that Qatar plays a manor role in the fight against terrorism and the UN mentioned that it isn't bounded by the list released. |
Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated from ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the last ten days of Ramadan began, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would stay up at night, wake his family and tie his lower garment tight. According to Ahmad and Muslim: he would strive hard in worship during the last ten nights of Ramadan as he did not do at other times. |
^^ I really tried to shorten that but....yeah it' didn't really work. |
Because I can erase it. |
.....this was a poorly structured response. |

We are two days away from the last ten days of Ramadan! |

‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab said to Ziyaad: “Do you know what [things] destroy Islaam? They are the death of a scholar, the Munafiq (hypocrite) who argues using the Quraan, and the Imams who lead the people astray.” [Ad-Daarimee, 1/71] |
Sufyaan Ath-Thawree (d.161H) said: “The scholar is the doctor of the Deen, and the dirham is its sickness. So if the doctor infects himself with the sickness, then when will he cure others?!” [Tadhkiratul-Huffaadh, by Adh-Dhahabee] |
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “It is enough sin for a man to speak of everything that he hears.” Al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 2025. Al-Nawawi said: Usually a person hears truth and lies, so if he speaks of everything that he hears, he is lying by telling of things that did not happen, and lying by speaking of something other than the way it happened; and he does not have to do that deliberately (in order to be regarded as telling lies). |
*Not sure it completely answered my question but I can relate to the strong feelings for and against certain leaders and I guess it only adds fire to condem them* Hence, I think it will be much better to support these leaders with dua. And Allah knows best |
I find this report by the Guardian Newspaper balanced https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/jun/05/saudi-arabia-and-bahrain-break-diplomatic-ties-with-qatar-over-terrorism |
Subhanallah! I was a few minutes away from making a detailed about the rift in the GCC when I received the answer I posed to sheikh Assim. I thought it'd be beneficial to post it here as well. His answer for some reason reminded me of the tafsir this verse in surah Yusuf. And he said, "O my father, this is the explanation of my vision of before. My Lord has made it reality. And He was certainly good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you [here] from bedouin life after Satan had induced [estrangement] between me and my brothers. Indeed, my Lord is Subtle in what He wills. Indeed, it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise. *See how Yusuf (peace be upon him) did not blame his brothers for their actions but blamed Shaytan. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Question in Detail: Salam alaykum wa rahamtullahi was barakathu Looking at what is going on in the the GCC, are Muslims (both affected Muslims and non-affected Muslims) allowed to speak about the inappropriate actions of the leaders without speaking ill about them (ie without speaking ill of the leaders)? Answer Wa alaikumsalam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuhu, Speaking ill about them will only add fuel to the fire and increase people's hatred to them! This serves no one except the enemy and it hardens our hearts. We make Duaa for the ummah and ask Allah to get rid of the hypocrites and their allies. |
SMH.... Made up lies by Al-Jazeera? Reports: Qatari pilgrims harassed in Mecca Grand Mosque Qatari nationals barred from entering the Grand Mosque in Mecca, according to an Al Sharq newspaper report. - It's even in the heading and they provided a link to the report by the newspaper. http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2017/06/reported-saudi-blocking-qatari-pilgrim-condemned-170610223616958.html This is the one I am talking about. The op should kindly provide link to the made up report by al-jazeera. |
vedaxcool:Al Jazeera carried a report about a man being prevented from entering a the Holy mosque in Mecca and they refrenced it to another newspaper. I didn't read any other report than that. So if he's talking about the same case, then it's not Aljazeerah's original report. |
If this is about the man that was prevented from visiting mosque in Mecca. They clearly referenced the report to another newspaper. If Al-jazeera is |
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “When a person spends his entire day with no other concern but Allaah alone, Allaah, may He be glorified, will take care of all his needs and take care of all that is worrying him; He will empty his heart so that it will be filled only with love for Him, free his tongue so that it will speak only in remembrance of Him (dhikr) and cause all his faculties to work only in obedience to Him. But if a person spends his entire day with no other concern but this world, Allaah will make him bear its distress, anxiety and pain; He will leave him to sort himself out, and cause his heart to be distracted from the love of Allaah towards the love of some created being, cause his tongue to speak only in remembering people instead of remembering Allaah, and cause him to use his talents and energy in obeying and serving them. So he will strive hard, labouring like some work-animal, to serve something other than Allaah… Everyone who turns away from being a true slave of Allaah and obeying Him and loving Him will be burdened with servitude, love and obedience to some created being. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ‘And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allaah), We appoint for him a shaytaan (devil) to be a qareen (intimate companion) to him.’ [al-Zukhruf 43:36].” Al-Fawaa’id, p. 159 |

Surah An-Naba إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا - 78:31 Indeed, for the righteous is attainment - حَدَائِقَ وَأَعْنَابًا - 78:32 Gardens and grapevines وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا - 78:33 And full-breasted [companions] of equal age وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا - 78:34 And a full cup. لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّابًا - 78:35 No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood - جَزَاءً مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَاءً حِسَابًا - 78:36 [As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account, |
AbdelKabir:No you never included "I". Secondly the underlined, especially the bold is quite funny and its amazing how words so clear as that can be used to mean that, that's all I will say....As you like. If you don't want people to question or ask about your statements then you shouldn't make them publicly. I asked a legitimate question which could have been simply explained. A simple "No I don't mean you can't talk about ......or yes I meant you shouldn't talk about...." would have been sufficient. |
AbdelKabir:I intend to understand. I asked you if those were your words or that of Sheikh Fawzan because that changes the context and means it was part of the answer. And no you didn't explain what you mean. You just restated it which was why I asked if they were your words or part of the answer. So are they your words or was it part of the answer? When you say refrain from speaking about what doesn't concern you (ie leaders action) it means we should be quiet even as long as we aren't affected but isn't the ummah one body? Are we allowed to speak about inappropriate actions by leaders without speaking ill of them? And yes, its not your business to speak ill of the leader of Muslims, if you must make amendments you advice him privately....Okay. Thanks for clarifying that part. |
