Hello Mofpearl,

You may not give one if you're not a first time applicant and for first time applicants, it will be given within 90days due to the pandemic. For now, just only the online route is functioning.

All the best
Thanks. Good to know you are still on this thread offering support.

Hi all,
Has anyone been able to apply for a visa since the COVID lockdown began? All VACs are closed in my area and I am guessing it means I will have to apply online. Will one still need to submit biometric since the VACs are closed?

Go out and eat at a restaurant with friends then probably go shopping with friends too. Buy my mum the flowers I have been wanting to buy.

Most people's lives revolve around work. You take that away and they have no idea what to do. Also learnt that life is really not about the bags and shoes and all other materialistic things. Lastly, I learnt to do things when you can. I was planning how I save and go for massive shopping in April but now everything is on lockdown. All the malls are closed and can't buy nothing. Was telling a friend how I want to spend money but there is no where to spend it.
HealthRe: Coronavirus: How Is COVID-19 Affecting You, Your Family, Work & Business? by Mofpearl: 2:51pm On Mar 24, 2020
It's work as usual with more personal protective equipment and hand hygiene. I don't even bother with sanitizers but use soap or chlorohexidine hand wash. We still go grocery shopping once a week but stock up more so no one has to leave the house in the middle of the week. My mum is just a lot more anxious about me going to work. Schools are closed and most people are working from home so I am literally the only one who leaves the house daily.

During my first test at my university, we were told to draw covalent bonds or something. I drew the bonds in the appropriate area and realized that I made a mistake so I put a note stating that the answer was on the last page. When my test was returned, I noticed that the instructor didn't see the note and informed her. She was adamant and said I put the answers in after the test and she would have to meet with a committee before deciding what to do. I felt scared and embarrassed because it was legit my second week at uni. Moreover, I am not the type of person to do that. I remember thinking my village people followed me to uni cheesy. At the end of the day, she gave me the marks and I ended up being not just the best student in her class but graduated with the highest distinction.

Am afraid you have high blood pressure, which is a bit bizarre considering your age. Am in my 40's and I have problem with my bp as well and I must tell you it not a pleasant experience. Firstly I suggest you see another doctor, especially a government hospital. Secondly, cut down drastically on your salt intake, because salt is largely a major reason for this health condition. Thirdly, check if any of your parents have this health condition as this will help to know if you start taking local herbs immediately. Eat lot of vegetables and if possible for now, stop using seasoning for any of your food. Please be advice see a medical practitioner to confirm first before resulting to self medication. Yes, some of the drugs can be expensive but they save your life at least at the initial stage. Ensure you take the drugs for as long as possible and when you are better, then you can experiment with the local herbs, that's if it's not heredity. Keep me posted of how when you're doing, cheers.
OP listen to this person. Please dont self medicate and get to another doctor ASAP.
HealthRe: Please Help, Insomnia Is Killing Me by Mofpearl: 1:40am On Oct 04, 2019
Mayordy Go get a second doctor's opinion! Monitor ur BP at the same time every day for about a week making sure to check it in the same conditions. Take this with you to the doctor. Explain your symptoms and history of numbness, headaches and dizziness please.
If you can go to another doc ASAP please do and tell the doctor you would like to monitor your bp if he doesnt give you meds to control it after the first visit.

it ain't just doctor's.. Nigeria is facing a brain drain collapse that is going to destroy the nation.. in every sector to mention the most intellectual & skilled are being lured away with scholarships and better work opportunities.. we often think we are overpopulated.. but most don't know that in the nearest future we are going to be having problems of underpopulation around the world and underdevelopment and overpopulation here in Nigerian because the pace setters and knowledge workers would be poached by foreign nations leaving only empty human shells and mediocre talents to pilot the affairs of the country
I was about to write this.

I didn't get another visa. I just might just end up not going because I want to complete my RN registration first. In my country of residence, I would need to work before I be officially licensed.

Thank you!!
The reason I want to withdraw is based on the fact that I have been offered a ptdf scholarship for PhD in Germany. And I may no longer go to Canada again. Also, I have withdrawn my tuition paid to school as part of the refund policy. So that’s the reason I have been thinking of withdrawing my application but I don’t want it stained like resulting in automatic refusal.
I am in a similar situation except my visa has already been approved.
