Speaking ill is what is condemned? So speaking ill about a leader is not anyone's business. But we can speak generally about actions of leaders without speaking ill of them? Modified*- This is what u wrote "Please refrain yourselves from speaking on matters that do not concern you." Were those your words?* I thought they were yours* |
@Abdelkabir Still not sure why it wouldn't concern anyone. People are being prevented from visiting the holy mosque in Mecca. This isn't right. I understood that statement to mean, it only concerns those getting affected *which also doesn't feel right either.* |

AbdelKabir:Not sure what you mean. |
^^ True. |
No one should derail my thread ![]() Take your conversation to the side station Thanks. |
It is reported that Ibrāhīm b. Adham – Allāh have mercy on him – said: Whoever seeks knowledge sincerely, for the servants of Allāh to benefit by and to benefit himself, then being hidden (from fame) is more beloved to him than seeking loftiness. He is the one who becomes more lowly to himself, strives more in worship, fears Allāh more, yearns for Allāh more, and becomes more humble amongst people. He cares not what he has of this dunyā night or day. Al-Bayhaqī, Shuʿab Al-Īmān article 1653. |
It is reported from Ḥabīb Al-Jallāb that he asked ʿAbdullāh b. Al-Mubārak – Allāh have mercy on him: “What is the best thing a person is ever given?” He replied, “Innate intelligence.” He then asked, “And if not that?” He replied, “Good conduct.” He then asked, “And if not that?” He replied, “A compassionate brother to consult.” He then asked, “And if not that?” He replied, “Long silence.” He asked, “And if not that?” Ibn Al-Mubārak replied, “Then an early death.” Al-Dhahabī, Siyar ʾAʿlām Al-Nubalāʾ 8:397. |
vedaxcool:Yeah I meant him. Oh okay, didn't know that. |
AbdelKabir:ohhh. I understand now. Jazakallahu Kyran Are there Muslims who believe this? *I am just asking because I would like to know their names if there are* |
^ I didn't understand it. |
Just did. Thanks. |
I have a question about zakatul fitr I am not exactly sure how to word it but say a person who isn't obligated to pay zakatul fitr does so but the one who is obligated to pay still pays on the other persons behalf. What happens then? Whose zakah is likely to be accepted and whose payment is charity *especially considering that you cannot do/give reward of deeds to a person that is alive* |
Reported by al-Bukhaari (813) and Muslim (1167) from Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) observed i‘tikaaf during the first ten days of Ramadan, and we observed i‘tikaaf with him. Then Jibreel came to him and said: “What you are seeking is ahead of you.” So he observed i‘tikaaf during the middle ten days, and we observed i‘tikaaf with him. Then Jibreel came to him and said: “What you are seeking is ahead of you.” So the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood up and addressed us on the morning of the twentieth of Ramadan and said: “Whoever observed i‘tikaaf with the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), let him come back, for I was shown Laylat al-Qadr then I was caused to forget it. Verily it is in the last ten nights, on an odd-numbered night, and I saw myself prostrating in mud and water.” The roof of the mosque was made of palm leaves, and we had not seen anything in the sky, but then a cloud came and it rained, and the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) led us in prayer until I saw the traces of mud and water on the forehead of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and the tip of his nose, in fulfilment of his dream. *Ramadan is passing by really quickly. It's been two weeks now. |
Qatar stood up for the people of Libya. The same way its stands up for the people of Palestine. The same way it stands up for the people of Syria. But of course I wouldn't expect you to know that since you don't see anything wrong leader wiping off his population. Gaddafi was killing his own people same way the Assad you support is killing his people. Qatar will see through this in sha Allah. We aren't a nation that can be trampled upon or bullied. |

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2017/06/israel-saudi-uae-team-anti-qatar-lobbying-move-170610023635122.html All these things going on makes me think of this ayat. At a time when the ummah is suppose to be united, we are divided. We are taking those who we have been clearly warned against as friends and allies. Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Messenger (peace and blessing be upon him) said, "Do not hate one another, nor be jealous of one another; and do not desert one another, but O Allah's worshipers! Be Brothers! And it is unlawful for a Muslim to desert his brother Muslim (and not to talk to him) for more than three nights."

What did Yusuf al Qawadri do? * aside the aqeedah issue and the bombing issue* Modified* Had a quick read. |
EmmGee:You and your spouse can stay in different rooms. |

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Two words which are light on the tongue and heavy in the Balance, and beloved to the Most Merciful: Subhaana Allaah wa bihamdih, subhaan Allaah il-‘Azeem (Glory and praise be to Allaah, glory be to Allaah the Almighty).” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6682; Muslim, 2694. And he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever says ‘Subhaan Allaah il-‘Azeem wa bi hamdih (Glory and praise be to Allaah the Almighty),’ a palm tree will be planted for him in Paradise.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3465; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi. |
Hollawayn05:You can ask about the sister and her family first and even make your intention known to someone close to them. This way you have someone who can advice you on the better option. You can also perform isthikhara for the method of approach. |
You can go to her family directly if shes someone you know. |
Just go to her, be honest and respectful. Brother :Salam alaykum sister..... I don't want you to get offended or insulted but I will like to talk to you about something/ ask you a few questions. Sister: Okay Brother: Are you married or engaged? Sister: No Brother: Okay then I guess I can discuss this with you. My name is ........*introduce yourself. I know you don't know me but ........I am searching for a spouse who I feel will be the coolness of my eyes and who I feel will be a means of bring me closer to Allah. I am not going to lie, I will like to get to know you better and perhaps, you can also get to know me better. I observed how you always come for taraweeh prayer or. *insert what drew your attention*. I have asked some people about you and they all sang praises of your character. You see sister I am not telling you this to try to start a relationship with you or anything. I am informing you because I would like to come to your family and ask the appropriate way. What do you say to that? Sister: That is very thoughtful of you but unfortunately I am not searching right now OR You can come to my house to speak to my father. I will inform him of your intentions * Can't think of another way. |
Mofpearl:My Ramadan isn't going as planned. Didn't expect to be this busy with assignments and so sleep deprived. I miss when school closes before Ramadan but then again Ramadan began early and even school children have school. |
Yup. We were young though and I wasn't entirely innocent. She went behind my back to say nasty stuff about me simply because she wanted to belong to a certain clique. She wouldn't support me and allowed them bully me and even join them. I felt betrayed because this is a childhood friend and someone who was also bullied. I didn't think she would do that to 'belong'. I wasn't entirely innocent because I had a do me I do you mentality....so I pretty much fought with her and our parents got involved at that time. I think I also paid her back when a few years along the line. Anyways we were young then and now we are neighbors. Not very close friends but I can still branch her house to chop food and vice versa. |
وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ - 29:69 And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good. So keep striving....it was never meant to be easy. |
.... Read the first diplomatic rift that happened in 2014 http://www.aljazeera.com/news/middleeast/2014/03/saudi-uae-bahrain-withdraw-qatar-envoys-20143591141945753.html Qatar and Saudi have had issues prior to this. This isn't the first time. There is probably more to it than the media is being told. http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2017/06/qatar-diplomatic-crisis-latest-updates-170605105550769.html |
