You should or can also be considering Common Law partners,it's same recognition with customary marriage in the sight of the Western country. As far as JAPA is concerned,every route and means must be examine. Good luck

He was told he doesn't have a legitimate business in Canada . So he decided to put in again for tourist visa since conference visa application didn't work out ..

You dont need to have a business in Canada before you apply for a conference, look at the refused letter very well,you may be refused if the conference doesn't go along with your work .

1.) Don't forget to always pray.
2.) Ask your HR / team leads to draft a company letter head confirming they are aware of the funding and how much they are funding with
3.) Attach payslips too showing your salaries for at least 3-4 months from the same company.
4.) This is overkill, would have said you asked them to get you a bank letter but somehow this isn't necessary for now. Stick to 1 - 3 above.

Thank you so much, I have been to Ghana and US for conference through my organisation and the question asked at US embassy 2017 for the conference is who is paying for your trip, which i said is my organisation but I just want to know if letter from my organisation is okay and no need of putting my statement of account. I have been working same organisation for 13yrs and also going for conference in Vancouver.

I'm trying to wonder how , a company would loan for visit visa purposes? I do also remember , you can use your employment letter that states your salary for visa application for Canada , him asking this is what I don't understand..

It's a government agency. A letter from my office is all I needed and my payslip. No statement was submitted by me or my agency

New portal. Applied May 18 2023. Got PPR May 26. The conference organiser wrote to the Deputy Canadian High Commiission and all so maybe that's why it was fast. But out of 8 of us, only 3 in Abuja have visas . The rest of us in the center of excellence are still waiting

We have various threads on Canada migration here on nairaland but I could not find any that relates to migrating to Canada via a closed work permit.
Closed work permits are usually for work permits tied to a particular company, i.e you are getting the work permit only for that role in the specified company.
I am currently in the last stage of the process which is awaiting work permit application decision from IRCC.

For me, LMIA was approved February. I applied for closed work permit March 29 2022.
Do we have people going through this process? Please share your timelines

This incident happened last week Thursday. Am a 300L student of Unijos and the girl happens to be my coursemate.

Normally, me and these girl no dey the same level, she can't even talk to me in school but ASUU break happened and i didn't want to go back to Lagos so i stayed back in Jos.

One day i was chatting with her friend who happens to know her and he told me she is still in Jos, so i chatted her up since i was bored and i didn't lie to her, i told her i was bored and i needed someone to talk to for the main time. she accepted quickly and even told me why i didn't chat her up sooner than this. she promised to come to my place and on Thursday she finally came through.

This is the most astonishing part, she knew i had sex with her best friend so she asked me about it and i did not lie about it cus i know she knew and we talked about some nasty stuff related to sex. i was seated on a mini-cushion chair and she sat on my laps literally dropping her boobs in the middle of my face.

As a guy i thought that was the signal, so i carried her straight to the bed and i wanted to gain access and she denied it so i just stood up and left. After a short while she came back again now saying if she handles me and all those stuff, i tried again and she denied i was angry and i wanted to tell her to start gping but i calmed down. she started seducing me badly and i was confused so this time i dropped and dragged her jean with her, we started dragging but she was just saying am trying to rape her and it is unfair, if it is what i do to girls all d time.

i won't lie to you am very scared, i don't even know what she wants, i started asking her what she wants from me exactly but she is not replying at all. I seriously don't know what to do am very confuse, I don't even understand why i fell for this plot of hers.

My assumption is that if indeed there were fake stamps NIS would have detained me when I appeared..

My wife F2 visa was denied today at US consulate in lagos. The following was what transpired between her and the VO.

VO: Good morning and pass your document

Wife: Good morning sir (she passed the document)

VO: I can see you are going to join your husband at the university of Alabama, Tuscaloosa.

Wife: Yes sir

VO: when did he leave the country

Wife: he will be leaving on the 1st of august, 2021 as his program starts by august 11

VO: So your business is tommyshendy. Tell me about it

Wife: yes sir. Itbis a registered fashion business that deals with production and sales of different types of female clothes. We also train people on clothes making.

VO: How come your husband never talked about this

Wife: He didnt talk about it because the business in mine and there is no where is the DS-160 form where one is required to fill spouse occupation. He was not also asked during his interview

VO: So why didn't you apply together

Wife: I initially planned to join him at the later time after he would have gone but after thinking about the benefit of going with him, we both agreed to go together. We feel going together will give emotional stability to concentrate on his studies, it will reduce the number of time he might want to be spending on phone with me been his wife and thereby giving him more time for his research. Going with him will also reduce his expenses and that he will also enable us to focus on our marriage been a young marriage

VO: how do you think it will reduce his expenses

Wife: I believe he won't have to pay for his accommodation in the US and be paying for mine in Nigeria. Cooking a single meal that we will eat together will also reduce expenses on groceries.

VO: What is your husband plan after his studies

Wife: His plan is to cone back to Nigeria to take up a lecturing role at Babcock university where he currently work

VO: when did you get married

Wife: March 28th, 2020.

VO: I am sorry, you do not qualify for a VISA this time around.

An heartbroken Nigerian man has narrated how he discovered that his fiancée in the UK is pregnant for another man.
According to a close friend of the man who shared that heartbroken story on Twitter, the man sent his fiancée to the UK for an undergraduate programme and has been footing all the expenses for the past 2 years.

They reportedly had their traditional introduction before she travelled, however, the lady has been living with another man in the house he rented for her and now pregnant for the other man.

Upon this discovery three months ago, the young man who is in Nigeria has slipped into depression.

Narrating the heartbroken story the Twitter user @Lionezz__ wrote,

“Today makes it 3 months since a friend discovered that his fiancée he sent to the UK for an undergraduate programme, is pregnant for another man. Recently, the increase in armed robberies and banditry has become a disturbing trend in Nigeria. It is even more horrendous when the men of the underworld not only steal when they attack but will also rape any unfortunate female caught in the invasion.

My wife and I were watching a real life crime documentary one evening and in the documentary, a lady was shot and killed after resisting rape advances from 6 men who invaded her residence.

Fortunately, the criminals were later caught using forensic evidence and paraded by law enforcement. These men were tough looking strongly built men who no doubts would have torn the lady apart if they had succeeded in raping her.

However, the shocker was when my wife of 4 years said, and I quote “she just died for nothing and has caused her family a lot of grief...if it were me, I would just let them have their way and live to see another day”.

Although this sounded very right, it also sounded very wrong at the same time and has since been messing with my head as I cannot get the picture out of my mind. We could both see that they were 6 hefty men and yet she felt she should have................

Ladies, am I over reacting and men, what do you think? How can something feel so right and so wrong simultaneously?
