Listen. My beef with this thing of an airport is the quality of work done. It will be unfair for me to compare apples with pears. so I will compare that crap with the Osubi airport in Warri. Judge for yourselves.

For anyone who has used the airport, surely you will agree that the finishing and quality of work is of the highest standard obtained in Africa. It is can be argued that this should be the adopted model for domestic airports. not too expensive with a classic architectural design that will not go out of fashion quickly. please this is not politics, it is just securing a better deal for all Nigerians, we must all learn to join hands and demand value for money.

Fool, who did u just called ur best govt? Besides does that mean I can't form my own opinion or what? I don't succk dickss the way u savour constantly that of the retardeen.

My bro, no mind dem, they are some people who are steep neck deep is asss licking. the airport is of very poor quality, funny enough, they would have done a far better job with less, yet Nigerians are too stupid to recognise that. Everything has to do to GEJ, where is the common sense

And you are judging the quality of architecture from 2 pictures you are probably viewing with a Nokia 3310. That says so much about your architectural knowledge.

It is always good practice and manner to follow posts before you comment. If you read my previous posts, which you evidently didn't, you will see me state that I used that airport less than 2 weeks ago. So I am fully qualified to comment and criticize when I see a bad job and that is a very bad job. when are Nigerian going to grown up to the fact criticism is part of good government and the responsibility of every well meaning Nigerian. they have spent your money and mine on that nonsense and I am not satisfied with the quality, if you are, it tells a lot about the standards you hold.

Look, get this into your skull! Ytou are not speaking the truth! You are playing politics! And no one is deceived by your con post! The airport has been remodelled and it is very very ok for the level of traffic. What were you expecting to see? A large shopping mall? If the governor, Adams Oshiomole, an opposition governor who was just 2 weeks ago speaking against PDP can acknowledge that the job is great, then you are inconsequential and your partisan rant is meaningless! Did you read that radars and control tower and more were installed?

Some of you don't know when to do politics and when to shut up! If you think condeming eveything GEJ does will get APC the 2015 victory, then you know nothing! Edo state people are very glad about the airports new look and no amount of NL rant will change that!

Another pleb, who has no measure of quality. the workmanship of that airport is very poor. Please feel free to snap pictures of that dump, send it to Architectural digest, and see what they say. That is if you know what architectural digest is. I really don't give a phuck what the governor or aviation minister says, the quality of work is very poor

No matter how good a work is, a fault-finder will find faults. Those already blinded by hate, can never see anything good. QED.

You said you'v been to Airport, but so also is the governor of Edo State, who knew what the Airport was like before and what it it today. The governor was full of praise for the minister for a job WELL DONE. Several federal Legislators have also been there.

So what if the governor says the airport is good? are we all not qualified to judge what is good or bad. did GEJ not claim that electricity was stable in Nigeria? is that the case? By the way I also used that airport last year before the work started .

The problem with most Nigerians is that they have no standards to measure up to, that is why most would claim GEJ is working even when the country is crumbling to bits

You must be a saddist to call the fantastic job done in that Airport bad. The Op posted only 2 pictures but I still have many pictures of the Airport in phone.

The CPC claim to be building an Airport in Nasarawa state, but almost 2yrs down the line, next to nothing has been done.

Come on, Seunfly is right. We must all be mature enough to accept the truth when we see it. I used that airport less than 2 weeks ago, and I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the finishing. What is important to note here, is that a better quality job could have been done with the same amount of money. 700 million Naira is serious money by all standards. The quality is poor. The choice of architecture is wrong, in less 2 years the place would look run down. I am all for change, but we must not shy away from positively criticizing work which we think is far below par

@Ogusbaba,

History is good, but we must look to the future. I will do my own little bit to contribute to our state. I have a very clear vision of where I think we should be going as a state. There is so much we can achieve, I am hopeful come 2015.

And Uduaghan, with his plan to escape to Senate and avoid prosecution, should forget it, he is definitely going to jail

@Ogusbaba,

We know blame una. Infact, I am rather impressed with your humility in accepting your education was not unto scratch, for what ever reason. the point here being that we must not let Delta state rot so much that even your own children and your childrens children suffer the horrible education system that failed you so miserably.

When you see some of us fiercely criticize Uduaghan, it is for the benefit of everyone, but most importantly for our people who have been disadvantaged for years. We must all have a selfless spirit

Ogusbaba has said that his education is extremely limited, please lets not yab him with that. Honestly I appreciate his honesty. if only his Oga had set up proper schools maybe Ogus would have been able to have a decent education

@Ogusbaba, You be my bro or sis, so I cannot too vex with you. we all want a prosperous Delta state that works for everyone, no matter the Tribe you or I or the other folks on this post are. A Delta state that works will be beneficial to all. It has very little to do with whose person is in there, rather we have a group of very talented hard working honest Deltans delivering services for the people. I love Delta state and my people, and not even the likes of Uduaghan and his wicked winches can do anything about it. Uduaghan can cheat and steal my money, but he can never take away my integrity, that I know I have over him
Politics / Re: Letter - Between Uduaghan And Isoko Nation by monkeyleg: 8:36pm On Jan 12, 2013
Folks, let us cut Ogusbaba some slack here. He or She has recognised what we have been saying, infact he started this thread, and I don't think he did that to seek praise for Eweta. It is abundantly clear to even the goats in the field that the man is a failure, I am sure even Eweta himself knows he is damn useless.

We must all starts pulling together to work towards a successful Delta state. It is out state, and it is the passion and love we have for the state that has brought us here

@Ogusbaba,

I appreciate your honesty and I have not subscribed Uduaghan's non-performance to you. But simple fact, you benefit far better if you have a government for the people that actually works. Do not reduce yourself to uduaghans houseboy by celebration failure, thus loose all self worth and integrity. if you take anything away from this and I hope you do, remember Uduaghan works for you. He is a public savant and you and I pay his salary, hence he is accountable to you and I. we must hold him accountable
Politics / Re: Letter - Between Uduaghan And Isoko Nation by monkeyleg: 8:13pm On Jan 12, 2013
@Ogusbaba, sincerely I am not upset with you. It is very clear to me that you are acting out of ignorance, although you might feel you are clever or smart. so you case is one of scrapping the bottom of the dustbin for food, so you will back anything irrespective of the quality or integrity.

I am glad that Delta people irrespective of tribe are genuinely upset with Uduaghan and his band of thieves. no matter what tribe you come from, you cannot claim that he has done much for your people, expect enriching the corrupt few who continue to lick his dirty Nyash and stoke his wicked ways. Hopefully one day justice will be served

@Ogusbaba,

Which other side? Tell me which other side. Are your eyes closed to the wickedness Uduaghan and Ibori have imposed to the good people of Delta state? So much so that they have set us against each other. Playing on tribal sentiments, that has caused lives. discriminating against tribes and people. Presiding over a government best described as plunder haven.

Let your conscience judge you. Mine is clean for I constantly stand by the truth and my love for all peoples of the state

Using public money to provide basic need by a paid elected person is not a dividend of democracy.
During military rules, roads and others stuff were equally done, dividend of what was that? Dictatorship?
Dividend of democracy are: Free speech, free media including state controlled medias, accountability of public personnels, one man one vote and not construction of 17th century boreholes.

I beg don't mind illiterates like Matthewgreatman, who are paid to talk rubbish. I am from Delta state as well and Uduaghan is a fhucking failure. The man is a heartless gutter snipe, who has spent 6yrs ruining that state

Politics / Re: Where Is Gov.chime??? by monkeyleg: 2:49pm On Jan 01, 2013
It is so strange that even after the Yar Adua debacle we still haven't learnt anything. Why should a governor be absent from his office for so long, yet those he governs don't have a clue what is going on. Infact I read an article were a Punch reporter was manhandled for trying to run this story. What is happening in Cross River state as well?

Nigerians have to learnt a basic principle of democracy, we must be prepared to challenge and ask question of those we vote into power. Answers must be given about the whereabouts of those 2 governors. After all we know that the secretary of state of the US suffered a concussion and currently has a blood clot, yet we know absolutely nothing about Chime and Imoke. what is there to hide? Nigerians ask the question

Politics / Re: Ibori Gets N50Million Pension As Ex-Governor Of Delta by monkeyleg: 9:38pm On Dec 23, 2012
@Afro blue, thanks for digging this up.

I think folks are missing the point here. This is not a case of entitlement because he was an ex-governor. This is more a case of principle. Ibori has been found guilty and convicted by a court of law, for money laundering, which the prosecution established was obtained from the state coffers. In other words A common Thief. Now I cannot see how this can be right in any way to award his such a generous pension based on What. Let use examine 1 recent cases.

1: Fred Goodwin (for MD of RBS) was in charge when the financial crisis hit. Retired and was awarded £650K pension. This was vigorously contested and by government in the UK and the figure was subsequently reduced

There can be no reward for monumental failure, especially when it is case of the ex-governor stealing blatantly from the Government.

I am afraid these are the sort of issues Nigerians need to learn to deal with sensibly and logically, to send a clear message. Ibori must be made to forfeit his Pension, he is a thief who has stolen from the state, simple
Politics / Ibori Gets N50Million Pension As Ex-Governor Of Delta by monkeyleg: 8:41am On Dec 23, 2012
Really folks, what is this? Reward for corruption. Surely Uduaghan has finaly gone Mad

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) has condemned in strong terms, the payment of N50M as pension to the ex-governor of Delta State cum serial convict, James Onanefe Ibori by the Delta State government.

Speaking on behalf of the Coalition, its Executive Chairman, Debo Adeniran, noted that paying James Ibori pension is rewarding corruption and encouraging its perpetrators.

“It is very disheartening that Delta State government could pay a common criminal like Ibori monthly pension. What is the essence of the payment? To compensate him for bleeding Delta State coffers white during his tenure? Or is he being paid for rendering many hapless and helpless Deltans useless and worthless in his reign? Ibori has been convicted of a fraction of the crimes he committed while in power, and will definitely come back to face the wrath of the Nigerian Law after he might have ended his jail term in the United Kingdom, so he should be deemed to have been dismissed from office and therefore, not entitled to pension.

It is preposterous on the part of the present crop of people in power in Delta State to have included Ibori in the pension payments. Such a move will further encourage corruption among political office holders when many Nigerians are working frantically to reduce corruption to the barest minimum,”Adeniran submitted.

He also urged the anti-graft agencies to be on the look out because such unwarranted payment is capable of deepening corruption in the country and hardening its perpetrators, since they know that respite awaits them even if they get caught after leaving office.
