So I am joking En? Weeks before hand over, Oga Sir was sighted in La Casa drinking champagne with plenty plenty mukays at each side of him. I think he was entertaining one of the African Ambassador to Nigeria, possibly discussing his escape route. Its no joke, if you do not believe, maybe we should do a thread on how many wives the guy actually has. Nigerian's should stop kidding themselves, no jail for anyone. I think the sooner we accept that and move on, the better |
Dream On. Nobody is going to jail. infact I just heard that to celebrate leaving office successfully, Ibori has just taken a new wife. Nice isnt it |
Anyone who would not check to see if thier brain is engaged or working before making sure a far reaching statement, in my opinion is highly illiterate ( and I dont mean the spending X amount of years in Uni and gaining nothing). The man is a damn fool. Simple. |
This is what happens when you make a stack Illiterate an ambassador, nevre thinks if his brain is engaged before he opens dirty gob. Our hope is that Musa will choose wisely. |
You see, I agree agree with McKren. Nigerian must learn to resist premature ball scrathing. We are in a dangerous habit os being easyly please, hence we set our standard to well below mediocrecy. So he declares his assest, automatically he becomes clean. This sort of attitude is why some believe that the likes of Ibori and IBB can rulre. We have made Nigeria a country were wrong is never challenged and evil celebrated. |
This is a tough one and you both have to be careful. First of all pray that God guides your heart, and then take some time off away from her. From what I can see she got used to your support in a very great time of need, you were there for her when most people would have run away. It might even be a good idea to stay away till the funneral is done and things have calmed down. possibly then her head would be a bit clear as well, and maybe that would be the appropriate time to let her know that the best thing for now would be to remain friends, and encourage her. Maybe with a clear head she might think differently about you, who knows. Good luck |
I think everyone has made very valuable contributions, but somehow I tend to agree with Igbonla. Situations like yhis is were you have to make an extremely wise decision. It might be easy like some have suggested to take the job offer and shuttle over the weekend to see the family, but then again you really can not tell what sort of effect that would have on your family. My suggestion would be to pray first for God to guide you and your husband to make the right decision what ever it is. Discuss the possibility of your husband moving to Lagos, that is if his job has that sort of flexibility. I had the experience of being away from my family for 10months, and believe me it was not that easy. I had to give up job offers to return back to where they were. well but that is me. In the grand scheme of things, always remember that God matters most and family comes next. All the best and may the Spirit lead you and your family to make the best choice ok. |
Oil was discovered in Soa Tome and Principe. Did this affect Nigeria? I dont think so. We should not see this as competing with our brothers rather if properly harnessed like I know they will, Ghana will suceed in diversifyinh their economy. Unlike Nigeria we have had very stupid leaders and I doubt most would understand the implication of this development. They are not that clever |
Sparta, Well done. This was the same point I was trying to convey to her. I am glad it is coing from a woman. It is not wise in some cases to stand and fight, you would find things a lot easlier if you were to leave the presence of temptation. Like I said, she has not told us why she is not close to her husband, she has to be if not all sprts of crazy ideas would come into her mind. I used myslef as an example. i was away from my family for months and believe me, evenm when I spoke to the mrs more than 5times a day, it did not take away the temptation that was around. It too a good christian to advice that it was not wise for me to be away from my family for so long especially as I know that the devil has a funny way of attacking one with crazy ideas. I quite my job and moved back to where my family is, and I have promised myslef that no amount of money would make me stay away for that long. The devil is very very powerful and his schemes knows no end. Dont tempt him ok. |
Well I doubt if anything will enter that head. he did not listen when in power, I doubt he would now. he should forget it, the man is beyond being schooled |
Tola, Good to see that your head is now clear, and hopefully you will stick to your decision. You must not underestimate your current sitiuation, that is being so far away from your Husband. I do not advocate it and will never support it. This issue was once discussed somewhat on premier radio in the UK. The preacher who was dealing on the issue did point out that most people tho married might get tempted in this way, but at the end of the day it is how you deal with it. He said that he knows that there is a possibility that he might start getting attracted to a single beautiful lady if he is left in her company alone, so what he does it build hedges around himself, that is he is never in a situation where he is ever left with a woman on his own. I say this cos I have recently had the experience of being away from my better half for almost 1yr, and it was a great struggle. Temptations were flying about, and I knew that it was not God's plan for me to be that far from my family. So I made swift plans to be reunited. There used to be this saying in mens circles that it is when you are married that you begin to start seeing all the fine single girls and begin to get all sorts of proposition. I believe this must be same for women. The fact is that your period will come and go, and everytime that happens you are faced with this sort of temptation. Please seriously consider why u are apart from your husband and reunite quickly. separations have funny effects on relationships. God bless |
Can you imagine that Lucky had to go and take a rest from not doing anything. This whole thing is a joke. In Nigeria we will stone and burn a common thief for stealling banana, but will award senatorship, gorvernorship e.t.c to office criminals. This has been were our system has continued to fail us. We as a nation are not ready to clean our act up. We are quite content to sit and live in the cesspit of a country. It really gets on my tits when we drag our legs about doing the right thing, why for the sake of it at this very critical time in our history are our fingers still stuck up our arse. Are we hoping that someone else would come and seek justice for us? James and his broda Lucky can not account for the money given to them, and they must be purnished. Full STOP. |
Somehow I think this thread is just a joke and she may not be serious, just wanting to get conversation going, but if you are, there are some key questions I must ask. 1: Why did you get married in the first place if you knew you were not ready for the challenges that lie ahead. And believe me they are heavy challenges in marriage. 2: This is just as important as the first question. Why are you and your husband apart? Is this for lifestyle reasons? if it is believe me you might live to regret it. You have to go back and really think why you got married in the 1st place. If for you marriage represents boyfriend/girlfriend, like I am inclined to believe, then you really wont have a problem doing what you are almost certain to do, but I must remind you that comitment even in boyfriend/girlfriend means a lot. Now if you have genuinely come here to seek help (which isnt bad, but I think you should have Contacted God first and let the spirit guide you), I would say start seriously considering building hedges. By that I mean you would have to take drastic measures including quitting your Job, and possibly moving back to Nigeria. Might sound hash, but that might be necessary to save your marriage. betrayal I must one you is never forgotten, it is one of the few reasons that God permits divorce. Please be careful. One nite of pleasure is not worth losing your marriage for. The consequence that follows is not worth all the trouble. You would forever be labelled an adultress. |
Sin, Come to Peckham market on saturday, you are sure to be onto a winner. I know 5 guys that met thier wives there. If Peckham no work try Woolwich Market |
Mariory, They say na man wey dem catch with ham inside pot of soup be thief. You know that I heard from relaible source some Guv who was touted as Cleaner than white from bleach has been finger in big thievery. Please go and find out who ok. If he was so clean why did he accept a fraud of an election "We Dont Believe a WORD OF IT" |
Everyone should cool down. I believe the essence of this thread is to have meaningful debates over our just concluded selection. Before I comment further, let me make a very very strong point about appreciating the full nature of issues from outside. I believe MKO used to say that if you want to drive a car you got to sit in front not in the back. The view from inside Nigeria is a far cry from what we see out here. I was previllaged to be in Nigeria during the last elections and quite frankly it was a real real shame that after over 40yrs of independence, we still can not organise ourselves properly to do anything meaningful. I know we all go on about Yar adua being a graduate, but I wonder whats sort or gradate would allow a chicken farmer manipulate him the way Obj did. The truth is that, if he really did admit that his selection was flawed, his office can never really have the legitimacy or authority it deserve. That is the Plain fact. However, I still think that it would be very wrong at this stage for anyone to compare what happened in Nigeria with the Elections held in the West, two different continents, totally different situations and factors, if you where in Nigeria during the elction, it was almost like we were at war, that millitary heavyly armed everywhere. To be honest I am not quite sure what that best way forward for us now would be. Maybe for Yar adua to call for fresh elections, but not quite sure he has that sort of power |
Eeven tho I still believe it is early days, I have this sinking feeling that it is going to be business as usual. Oga might be smarter than Obj, but I doubt he has the clout or strength to continue or progress the fight. Maybe this might be a good lesson to us all to vote wisely next time or really come out and defend our vote. By the way, the suggestion that there are ghost people moving and controlling the counrry might be true, but we must all remember that no one not even Oga is bigger than a nation. By the way I heard he was stuck in traffic for 2hrs and had the dogs bollocks to winge, he was lucky no area slapped him and took his phone. |
Thanks guys. Now that I know who sang it, anyone know where I can grab a copy of the CD or download the music. |
They are all drinking Pepper soup and beer waiting for their next appointment. Someone said he saw Oga James in LA CASA 3 weeks be/4 handover winning and dining with some African Ambassador, enjoying with the ladies of the nite (Please dont tell his wife). He did not care that his tenure was coming to an end, he was very confident that something would be found for him |
No one is running anywhere. They are all balanced out drinking pepper soup, and waiting for thier next appointment. Most would get some sort of political appointment. You wait and see. |
I was really hoping that one of you great fellows out there would have a clue. |
U guys should stop talking rubbish. What do you expect when NFA go and pick a stupid prick like Vogt (who cant tie his shoe lace) to lead us. His records are there for everyone to see. Just like everything Nigeria we have never learnt the act of choosing right. They should boot the rubbish out now, before even old grand mama's start thrashing us 11 - 0. |
Hi Guys, I know this is a long shot, but I might as well try. I am looking for the title of a very beautiful song I heard once on the radio. These are the details I have. The song was sang in Ibo, by a lady. There was some rapping done as well, and I believe the song to be recent or popular. Some of the words in the song include - Ebezina akwa na ife adigo mma, Hope this will juggle somebodys mind. Thanks |
Big B1, Dont make me laff, whats this bit about Tony covering his ass with banana leaf? dont forget banana does not grow in Europe. By the way we are not discussing Tony, but not to jump to his defence, I think he was in a very very difficult position, and most British leaders would have found it extremely difficult not to have supported Gun Ho Bush in his crusade. It is a very complex issue, not near as easy as how Nnamani got away. By the way has anyone seen Mr Ribadu? |
Mckren, I like your position, and I do hope that for the sake of our country that things do start to look up. I think we will get a clearer picture of the sort of government Mr President would lead when he names his cabinet. That will really give nigerians an indication of the sort of person he is. I do hope however that is it just a rumour (THAT IS JUST RUMOUR), that Ibori is going to be made a minister, except Mr president intends to create a new ministry for "THIEF THIEF", with junior minister Lucky Igbinedion |
You guys should all calm down. Let us wait and see what happens in the next few weeks. It is just too early to tell. My mum called me this morning to say that there was the possibility of Ibori being a Minister. Well my initial reaction was one of anger, at some point I was tempted to walk the streets naked in protest, but after a cup of coffee and some reasoned thinking, I thought to see the publication first. At the mo it is only The Tribune carrying such story. Let us wait and see if the President is as stupid as appointing such known thieves or if it just plain rumour. |
I am convinced that Nigerians truly have the country they deserve. Anyone who is wishing that things will change without fighting for it must be a joker. I would really like to hear Ziddy's take on who is best for Nigeria. Nigerians have become very very skilled at living in this cesspit we have, that is why we do not see the need for change. I am increasingly finding difficult to explain to people why they should have voted for change. Now I understand what life must have been like for Pat serving under OBJ. |
Tonyblu my Bro, I understand you and feel you. I have been faced with this same problem, trying to make people see why we should all change. You know a friend of mine was said that "Nigerians Have a NIGERIA they deserve" and I believe that is tha case here. Nigerians think that the way to proper freedom is easy. They do not realise they have to fight had for it? If they think that Nigeria will ever change by folding thier hands and voting wrong, then trully we Have a Rotten Country That We All Deserve. Now all I am going to do is wait for the next Nigerian that will tell me that the country is hard and I will point them to April 21st, and the wrong decision they made. Tonyblu, with regards to Pat, I feel for him, cos I knew the election was never going to be free or fair. I think he has made his point very clear, and I think those of us that believe strongly in him should start early in preparation for next election, he is a good man, whom I have had the privillege of meeting, if God has him marked out to rule this great country, he will. I was explaining to the folks in my office who acknowledge the great works the likes of Oby Ezekwesili, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and co have been doing. Ngozi has gone, and Oby if Off, and the funny thing is that these ladies are all Pats friends, and I an very very sure he would have been able to get them to continue and build on the excellent work they had started. The change such a great team would have made to Nigeria would have been unbelieveable. People with vision. Well let us lick our wounds and continue the good fight. |
We can not give up the fight. I think is it worth it even id there are some that do not believe he would win. We must not forget that Pat does not have the sort of resources these other guys are throwing around and need to be very wise and prudent with his spending. U might be shocked the sort of people that are thinking of voting for him, I have been in many a newspaper stall, and a ot of those guys do know him and plan to vote for him, including poeple in churchs. I think his strategy is to make a big bold push during the final weeks of election. I have stated seeing visible posters of him around Lagos, and hopfully other parts of the country. He also has a wonderful jingle on the radio which in my opinion captures the esence of politics in Nigeria. We muct not give up. Everyone should do thier own bit. My theory is that if 1 million people are conviced about Pat and want change, we can get 20 of our friends to Vote for him, that easliy adds up to 21million. I think I am on number 25 working on another 5 people. By the way, I actually met Pat on Monday in church, such a pleasant humble man. God Bless Nigeria. Vote wisely, Vote PAT UTOMI God Bless Nigeria. Vote wisely, Vote PAT UTOMI God Bless Nigeria. Vote wisely, Vote PAT UTOMI God Bless Nigeria. Vote wisely, Vote PAT UTOMI God Bless Nigeria. Vote wisely, Vote PAT UTOMI God Bless Nigeria. Vote wisely, Vote PAT UTOMI |
d6mild I couldnt have put it any better. You have done a great job, and I hope my people will trully open thier eyes. Just to emphasize the point, Nigerians have been exteremely passive in defending thier vote and voting wisely. We have as a people accepted mediocricy, as the other of the day, and that is why we have falied to dream or have dreams. Most times when we do dare to dream, it only stops at our selfish end. It is for this lack of vision and ability to dream that I have had people say to me that Pat cant win, or he cant rule. Is there a problem in having a dream were Prof Utomi is the president of this great country or is it just impossible. I see endless possibilities with him at the top, or is that we are a people have decided that we must take the long long road to nowhere, just becasue we have accepted that Nigeria can never be good. Should it be a case that for fear of upsetting certain people that we must not do the right thing? by the way you might be shocked who the North will vote for. People say to me, for now this part of the country must rule, and I say to them, from now we must all elect a good leader, or do you think that is would make a difference where our president comes from if he is a good leader. Nigerians must wake up, we must all wake up. This is the critical time in our history that we must choose wisely and choose right. It is left for all of us to judge the last 8yrs. Did Nigeria actually move forward? Probably. Did it move forward at the required pace? definitely not. That is why after 8yrs we are still struggling with the concept of candle and generator. Nigeria will never change until Nigerians are prepared to do the things necessary to get the change, and it starts from Voting right and Voting WISE. God Bless Nigeria UP PAT PAT 4 PRESIDENT UP PAT PAT 4 PRESIDENT UP PAT PAT 4 PRESIDENT UP PAT PAT 4 PRESIDENT |

Afam, I am still struggling to understand your point why Mr Yar is the best candidate. From what I gather the only reason u think he is the best of the rest, is cos he has not been fingered for stealing, well neither has Buhari, or Utomi. But if your issue with Pat is the way he ran VON, I would argue that there is no evidence to suggest that mr Yar ran Katsina state any better than Pat ran VON. So I am still lost for understanding, and by the way, if you think that the time to not discuss the so called rotation system isnt now, then my friend u trully do not have an idea of what is happening in the N Delta. All Nigeria needs is a good leader, and my friend Mr Yar is very very far from that. He has tried with his state, and I think it is time they give someone else a shot. |
