My answer? I wrote Onadeko's paper then

#yes,he was just one lecturer out of many in other campuses who will seat over the exams committee as a whole,he wasn't calling the shots then..

If i recall, we had terrorists in the guys that took as Legal Drafting and Conveyancing. Men who will come and be boasting on how many people couldn't even decipher the requirements of their questions.

#and those dull students still passed?, that speaks better for me that the standard has changed

At any rate are you suggesting that the principles of law and practise have so changed that what they are now teaching you is different from what law practice entails?

#the principles haven't changed, rather the marking scheme has.

Do we now approach legal practise from two perspectives; the old and the new school?

#My friend with a pass was trying to convince his prospective employer that it is,and he sure has an arguement, and he will prove it in practice.

Your argument and reasoning befuddles even the wise.

#hmmmm,dont be amazed,

I now believe that cliche which says where ignorance is bliss, it is folly to be wise. I rest my case sir.

I was amused at your write-up until i got to the point where you suggested that those who made 2.2 before may likely fail the examinations now. Shows how hollow you are. You believe in your life that after years of practice i will be faced with written (essay or objective) of the rudiments of Legal Practice and ii will fail? You obviously are yet to come to terms with what you went there to do and how it impacts you in real life. Now i can quite relate with the number of failures. It is in YOU.
chill, what i mean is that the standard with which ur set wrote and passed the lawsch then is not the same now,in otherwords,if u should give the same answers u gave then in ur script that got u 2.2, my dear,Onadeko's standard which is the cause of the present discontentment will likely leave you at something less. Sad truth, isn't it?

This is rubbish. I read at the Nigerian Law School Lagos in 2008/2009, when Onadeko was the Deputy-Director General. I also served as the Students Representative Council Chairman and had a good relationship with Onadeko whom I had hitherto been warned about regarding his hauteur nature. My relationship with Onadeko revealed him to be a man of strict academic and behavioral disciple and it inspired me to work hard both in academic and professional excellence. It is on record at the Law school among my colleagues that I wrote my exams from the sick bay and yet earned a 2'2, it is also on record that many older students with years of working experience all passed as against the fresh school leavers duing my time. You cannot beat hard work. Most Law Students are lazy and have no idea what they are at the Law School for. My first cousin just wrote this same exam and graduated with a 2'1. I shall be at her call to bar, but I hasten to add that I marveled at the way she read; my God she read and always asked me questions. Nonsense! If the Law School decides to go against the Council of Legal Education ethics and publish some of the results, Nigerians would be so shocked that giving young lawyers briefs would be herculean! My advice, they should go and prepare for re-sit!
thank God ur cousin passed, would you have been suprised if she had failed? Thats the question some pple who I know may have studied better than your cousin are asking. And you should know that lawschool answers are like mathematical answers, 50 candidate can answer same thing and be correct, you should also know that there is emphasis on practice there. So it is a suprise thing even to me, for your info, the standard has changed. Those who made 2.2 previously will most likely fail the same exam if written NOW. Thank God,Onadeko gave us a hint beforehand and I was ready for anything.

what I meant was that We need a president who can be bold to call corruption what it really is...just like obj rejecting Mr.Kashamu irrespective of political affiliation. OBJ may not have achieved much to your taste, but he had a good fight with corruption,we dont ve that now.

Please I need ur advice on this one, I ve known this girl for about a year now and we have just been friends in school. She seems to like me and shows interest wen am near, even has a nickname for me. Now we are done schooling and we reside in the same city. I asked her for a date at an eatery last week and she obliged me. On a second date,I told her of my love for her,she asked wen exactly i started loving her,i replied that its been since we met back then in school but I wudnt want to further it then cos of familiarity, then she told me that she likes me but wudnt want to jump into a serious relationship with me so as not to make a mistake, cos according to her, once u are in,u are in. She said she is not gonna give a straight answer but its best we remain friends and allow our friendship to grow into a serious one, Am confused at her responses and dont know my fate now. I never expected that at all,so I jst told her I will respect her opinion. please, wat are my chances with her.I really love her. Thanks for ur informed and invaluable helps to us all.

Its disheartening that our NL gals ain't helping us out here. Anyway,I ve seen some greenlights from far and near. Common ones are like has been said, standing or sitting closeR to u when chatting, touching or holding ur hands, asking u to see her off or accompany her on an eRrand, smiling at u and maintaining eye contacts with u,blinking her eyes at the point u look at her, borrowing needleSs things from u,asking questions rather personally, attacking u like u owe her, calling u pet names, telling u the good opinion her friend has abt u, and more covertly, licking her lips while looking at u,wearing half-breasted tops, appearing sexy in ur presence, hitting or punching u atimes, drawing u out of the crowd so u two can be alone and asking u,"wat do u like in a gal?" . Mehn, as i write dis,I cry over many lost opportunities aforetime.

I would have agreed with this writer until he started saying that livestock farming is not feasible. I want to tell him that even uneducated folks in Nigeria does that with good tales following. He should try that out anD change his story especiaLly in fish farming and poultry. Or maybe he is feeling shy about the "let-down",but this is naija. Most graduates in Nigeria has a similar tale like u. We don't usually practice the exact thing we studied in the uni.
FashionRe: Girls Who Wear Ankle-chain by Montaque(m): 8:21pm On Sep 07, 2014
claremont: The African continent will never develop with the mentality being displayed by most of the people on this thread. How can a supposedly well-lettered human being say that the wearing of an ankle chain is a reflection of the character of a person?! So it's okay to wear a neck chain, wrist chain e.t.c, but it's not okay to wear something similar on your ankle?!

It is the response from these kind of threads that make westerners view Africa as an under-developed continent.
maybe u call this development, but its wiser to know the history of an art before identifying urself with it,or much more adopting and practicing it. Its that blind imitation that has kept us masked, when we adopted so many western practice that has broken homes and our societies. Try and check the origin of a practice u like before adopting it. In that way,u will won't be suprised later on. Even whites has a connotation for ladies with ankle wrist, even some clandestine groups use that for identification...and gals are here claiming fine gal in it.
