De_law: I think we still have amatuer kids on nl. The new speaker that was impeached with just 5 lawmakers that doesnt even form a quorum should go to court? Grow up little baby
Boy, that word is spelled "Amateur". I know how hard it is to spell considering that you're maturely disadvantaged. You will improve if you keep up, and also learn some respect.
Meanwhile, Your matured ass needs to come to terms with the fact that the former speaker, Hon. Otelemaba Amachree was duly impeached. Whether the impeachment was constitutional or not is a case for the court to determine.
Imagine the chief security officer of a state masterminding chaos in his own domain.
Every well meaning Nigerian should lend a voice and call for Amechi to resign for gross incompetence and abuse of office. Only if he is half the democrat that he claims to be.
I hope the president wades into this crisis and maybe declare a state of emergency in Rivers State.
Rossikk: Dummy. We should use 4 billion dollars to build a new Heathrow and another 4 billion dollars a year to maintain it, and let schools, hospitals etc go to the dogs. I think making these topics fp opens them up to abuse by all sorts of compound illiterates like yourself.
0lumide: Average man never chop, na to dey invest in airport and all sort of amenities that only benefits those rich enough to afford them.. We will all die in chaos if the govt keeps neglecting the poor..
Unfortunate opinion.
If you don't know what to write next time, just like the post and move on ok?.
Fortunately most of us here understood what this man is saying. While some ignorant ones wouldn't bear the fact that APC is a nemesis that's about to befall those who believe in it.
Rossikk: I wonder what Obama thinks of this.. It certainly sends a message... The US president's plane has barely left the African airspace before the leader of the continent's 2nd biggest economy embarks on a five-day state visit to China.
It sends all sorts of messages.
Our dear president is sending the perfect message. We don't need Obama in Nigeria neither is our president interested in America. China is the real deal when it comes to business and economy. The United States is only known for international politicking.
What our country needs is business and economic growth and not international politicking.
Nomoreloss Ruggedman and other failed musicians are using OJB's predicament to score cheap points.
What's with the public praise on known celebrities that donated?, it's wrong. Why didn't they also mention my name and praise me?. Was my contribution not enough to deserve such idiotic and malicious "tweet of thanks" on a personal level?.
Look at them hassling 2face idibia for money as if it is by force to give.
Gbawe: I am not asking her not to defend the interest of Nigerians. Merely stating she should do it intelligently and not muddy up issues with bellicose talk that reveals she has not even taken time to understand the full picture.
If a Nigerian applies for a six month visa to visit friends and family in the UK, what is the point of Dabiri-Erewa talking of collapsing anyone's health sector if that visitor is asked to pay a refundable bond? What concerns employment with this? Let us refrain from being sentimental with everything. Britain say they are targeting those who stay beyond their visitor Visa. We should therefore tackle the unfairness of the Visa bond on its own merit and with relevant argument. It should certainly not be a Nigerian political leader talking ignorantly when we need them to make cogent argument on our behalf.
This matter don pass your reasoning capacity. You are obviously trying not to confuse yourself, but failed woefully.
Read the thread again and you might understand why she referred to those workers.
Okija_juju: You rush to quote me only to end up showing you did not comprehend my post..
1. Yes you do recharge your calls and internet bills, but that hasnt stopped Nigerians from complaining about high call/sms/data tarriffs now has it?! Infact, look on Nairaland and on almost every thread, there is someone spamming it with Network cheat sim card. Why you would have an issue with that post befuddles me. Nigerians must complain.. And with electricity, they would scream. 24hrs power does not come cheap. No illegal connections again as these private companies would not be as lackadesical as PHCN and NEPA. We complain about phone tarriff, DSTV tariff, ATM charge, Bank charges, e.t.c.. So why should it be different for electricity. And those options of yours are not cheap either. The average cost of getting a good sized inverter is atleast 150,000 naira and above..
2. I never said that the FG is stopping Amaechi from generating electricity. Infact, the FG does not have the right to stop anybody from generating. Rivers States problem is not generating. Infact, Rivers State already generates over 4 times the amount of Power needed by the state. The problem is Distribution. And thats what I pointed towards.. Here is a quote from the original article;
Going by the highlighted, it means that Barths company would first satisfy the need of Aba (and maybe Abia State) before selling off the excess energy into the National grid. Meanwhile in neighboring Rivers State, the state is forced to feed all it generates into the National grid and wait for whatever meagre portion that returns to them.
If this article is correct, then why the double standard?! Rivers State already generates enough to satisfy the States needs and more, why not allow them distribute.
Nna na wah for you o!! I na eme ka onye bu'm na obi. Onwe ife'm me gi mbu?! Onwe nwayi mu na gi na zo?
The case with Rivers state was so because River's state power project in Trans Amadi is not a private company. The federal government also invested in it, therefore it is a joint venture between the state and the federal government.
Gbawe: Thank you. The responses here, frankly, are embarrassing. With the part of Adeyemi's speech reproduced below, is it not obvious he is, as we have come to expect with GEJ's penchant for shameless public shows, acting out another Oransanye v Ribadu and Otedola v Farouk script that plays to the gallery in pursuit of the agenda of the Presidency?
Why would Tinubu, for his acclaimed intellect get into the gutter with Adeyemi when it is obvious what the Senator wants to achieve as another compromised and desperate mouthpiece of GEJ?
Those capable of rising above sentiments can see what is obvious to note Adeyemi's patronising display lacks sincerity or ideological honesty. If Adeyemi is truly opposed to Buhari as the democrat he now pretends to be, why the slavish eulogy and fawning endorsement of GEJ when the PDP as a Party has not presented a candidate for 2015? Why should Adeyemi be urging Tinubu to "be with" GEJ and against Buhari when the APC has not officially nominated Buhari and the PDP has not officially granted GEJ it's 2015 ticket? Why would Tinubu then publicly join issues with someone who disgraces his own name (Smart) this publicly with antics that is childish, hypocritical, contradictory and fraudulent on so many levels?
Is it not obvious Adeyemi is himself being undemocratic trying to force backing for GEJ's 2015 project especially from the leader of the opposition Party? Is it not obvious Adeyemi just organised an 'agbero' ambush devoid of political sincerity?
Sometimes, one does not know which is more disappointing. I.e the fact that compromised leaders are emboldened to patronisingly throw rotten Bananas at Nigerians or the notion that many Nigerians still remain unthinkingly Monkey-like enough to gobble up such rotten offerings.
Tinubu showed he is the smart one by not walking into another of the public ambush the clannish GEJ is fond of organising through the usage of clowns like Orasanye, Otti,Maku, Allison-Madueke, Otedola et al. What is the point of Adeyemi saying Tinubu "should be with" GEJ when he knows the man is one of the leaders of the opposition trying to give Nigerians choices? The world over, the APC is receiving praises because it can deepen Nigeria's democracy and Adeyemi wants otherwise by suggesting everyone must now align behind GEJ so that we have a coronation in 2015 instead of an election. Tinubu did well to walk away from this confused, desperate and obviously compromised clown called "Smart". Funny how politicians/public figures who are supporters of GEJ are now all Nollywood actors.
Why do you enjoy polluting good threads with your pathetic attempt at sounding reasonable?.
Start a blog and share your myopic reasoning with mor0ns of your calibre and stop posting your good for nothing malicious opinions here.
Everything about tinubu, whether stuupid or sensible is correct, and our president and his administration is not right abi?. Mugu.
bloggernaija: GEJ committed N900 billion to " fighting terrorism" in a single year and education/health/infrastructure got how much? Smart adeyemi who professes to be a democrat does not see any wrong with that. Spending such a sum to fight a few idiots who normally should have been routted via a focused police action is not exactly what you call smart. Is exactly the picture of what nigeria has become. Even the civil war did not cost as much as a tenth of this. True democrats know that money meant for the welfare of the people is being diverted to feed Nigeria's brand new military/security /industrial complex.you do not hear the worldbank and the IMF complaining about this. The other matter is that those who strategically look into the future know that it is dire. The advise to the goodluck administration to thread softly from the progressives should not be ignored.fighting terrorism is one thing, killing innocent civilians which Nigeria's security forces do well is another. From a strategic view point Some of us can boldly see the same treatment being visited on the Niger delta in the future in the name of getting rid of militants. As always ,only the weak will suffer. Smart Adeyemi showed a lack of class as to bring up a politics into an event such as this. Tinubu also did the right thing as to walk out of the venue .It is what decent people do.HE who laughs last laughs best. I also fault tinubu and others for attending an event based on the new fad of going to Dubai to attend a silly wedding. Where next? St tropez to waste more money in the name of show? Finally as long as there is a party called PDP in one form or the other,I will reserve my criticism of ACN for a time when the threats of this PDP's terrorism of the Nigerian people ends Until that time , All hail ACN. FACT :A man who is not corrupt is likely to surround himself with like minded people.
Your parents threw away money sending you to school.
I pulled out of ACN, when it became obvious that not only will I have to content with Liars and people of questionable intents and characters, but also sympathizers of terrorist.
Suswan don't like liars, he's decided to pull out and become a true nationalist.
