It has been an exciting and entertaining games after games and it has come to an end today as Pharaohs of Egypt take on Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the AFCON Finals. To most Nigerians, African Cup of Nation doesn't exist as Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to make it to the AFCON tournament.

Egypt led Cameroon with a lone goal in the first half, thanks to a tight angled shot by Mohamed Elneny but Cameroon over turned it in the second half to beat Egypt 2-1, thanks to Nicolas N'Koulou's goal in the 59th minutes and the dying minute goal by Vincent Aboubakar

Upon all that the police and Lagos State Government is doing in Lagos, crime continues to foster. A man is presently lying unconscious by the side of the road in Iyana-Iba, Badagry expressway, Lagos and he was reportedly pushed out of a moving bus, popularly and the bus zoomed off.

A witness who sells garden eggs close by said she was arranging her goods to sell when she heard a thud and turned around to see the bus move off. She raised an alarm, calling to the other female traders nearby but they were all afraid to take any action.

"It happened like one or two hours ago, in broad daylight," She told LIB in pidgin English. I was arranging my market when I saw a coaster bus. I looked away then immediately I heard a sound, like someone was falling down. I turned and saw the man on the floor. I started screaming, calling other women but nobody could do anything. The coaster just went like that."

The woman also revealed that the body of the man has been searched for a phone or any means of identification, but they found nothing on him, not even money. It is believed the people who threw him off the bus took all that from him.

Another witness said she believes he was drugged in the bus and disposed of all his properties. No one is sure whether the man is alive or dead. So far, people have just been passing and looking at him curiously.

Authorities are hereby advised to look into the matter and identify this man in order to track down his family.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC has warned Nigerians relying on Crypt Currencies this days to have at the back of their mind that though these are serving as currencies, but they are not a legal tender.

In their statement, even though very vague, suggest that virtual currencies are not legal tender simple. This is coming in such a time that Nigerians are relying so much on crypto currencies like bitcoin and the rest.

Well EFCC advises against it. To before warned is before armed.

Formal journalist and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has claimed that corrupt people were bearing malice against President Muhammadu Buhari and wished him dead. Adesina said that persons claiming that Buhari’s old age was affecting his actions were disparaging God, noting that “old age is an inexorable fact of life.”

According to him “On whether age is a problem to the President, there is nobody age does not catch up with, and it is an inexorable fact of life. “But whoever would grow old must respect hoary hairs. When you disparage old people, you are actually disparaging God, who has created different seasons of life.”

The Presidential adviser told the Punch that the plan of the government is to hand over the war against corruption to Nigerian. He said the government need people as allies in the battle against graft, noting that Buhari would be happy to see Nigerians take up the crusade against corruption.

He added, “I agree that Nigerians should take over the anti – corruption war, because that is the real intention. “They should own the war, and see it as their own, not because government has failed, but because government needs them as allies. “A war that would transcend the lifetime of a government is the one that has been imbibed and accepted by the people.

“It is not a one – man show, and President Buhari would be very happy to see people take over the anti – corruption crusade.

I know some will still disapprove of this video but the reality is, it is real and tupac made a lot of sense in this video. Daddy Freeze who has been known to always criticize men of God in Nigeria because of the over zealousness and for the fact that they find it difficult to even help the community and those suffering in abject poverty, shared this wonderful video today.

20-year-old man, Ibrahim also know as ‘Ibro’, has been arrested by the Niger Child Rights Protection Agency for alleged sexual harassment of two minors in the state.

The agency’s Director-General, Mrs Mariam Kolo, on Friday in Minna said the suspect was arrested in Randan Ruwa Bosso, in Bosso Local government area where the incident occurred following a tip off by neighbors.

The suspect lured two brothers between the ages 9 and 13 to his room under the pretext of wanting
them to assist him with house chores. Malama Sailha Mohammed, the mother of the two boys, contacted the agency after she received distress call from her eldest son.

She said the children were living with her ex-husband, Malam Kasim Adamu and his new wife in Minna, after they were divorced.

Mohammed said:

“I got a call from the senior boy who is 13 years who said he informed neighbours that the suspect called him to assist him wash his clothes. “After washing and ironing the clothes, the suspect undressed himself and asked the boy to suck his manhood threatening him with a knife.

“He released semen and asked the boy to swallow it after which blood starting coming out of his manhood. “He also asked the boy to suck the blood. “My son summoned courage and called me on on phone and narrated the incident to me.

“I had to travel from Abuja to Minna because the youngest boy who is 9 started complaining of stomach pain.” Confirming the incident, Kolo said the case had been reported to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for investigation.

She said that the victims had been treated after undergoing medical examinations. Kolo described the incident as `ungodly and disgusting,’ adding that the children were not properly given parental care. She appealed to parents to always look out for their children and wards and watch out for the the people they mingle with.

Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has said lecturers of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso will only resume when Oyo and Osun State agree on how the N7.1bn outstanding subvention will be paid.

ASUU Chairman in LAUTECH, Dr. Biodun Olaniran, said this in an interview yesterday, Friday.


He said the N500m paid by Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi and his Ondo counterpart, Rauf Aregbesola was not all the solution to the crisis. He said both states have to agree on how the backlog would be paid and how the two states would fund the varsity henceforth without any crisis.

He said the strike was not because of salaries but to solve the problem of funding. The ASUU chairman said, “Our position is straightforward. It is not tied to salaries but the sustainable funding of the university.

“The two states are supposed to give LAUTECH N295m as subventions every month but they have not been doing this. “Oyo State owes us N2.3bn and Osun State is owing N5.3bn but the two states just paid N500m. This is not enough. Although we are also considering the economic realities on ground, that is why we want them to state categorically state how they intend to pay the balance of N7.1bn.

“Is it going to be monthly or how? They have to state this and assure us that from January 2017, they will no longer owe. If this is not done, we will resume and go back to the starting point very soon.”

1. Danvers State Hospital in Massachusetts

Danvers State Hospital in Massachusetts has gone by many names; it’s been variously known as the Danvers Insane Asylum, State Lunatic Hospital, even Hell House on the Hill and other such lovely monikers. 2. Hotel del Salto — San Antonio del Tequendama, Colombia

Is better you sleep in the middle of the expressway than to enter these buildings. No, it’s not the set of American Horror Story: Hotel, even though La Casa del Salto del Tequendama does have a past twisted enough to shoot a movie. It was built up in 1923 and named the Hotel del Santo in the 50s.

Picturesque location alongside the Tequendama waterfalls in central Colombia attracted many travelers. A few decades later the level of river pollution caused the hotel’s abandonment. Recently it has been changed into a museum, though. And still, the creepiest part remains the same; many believe that this place is haunted since it was known during its prime time as a site for numerous suicide cases.

3. Pripyat, Ukraine

This is a whole city that was abandoned and is located in northern Ukraine, once bustled with almost 500,000 residents is now a radioactive ghost town over-run by nature. In 1986, Pripyat became a ground zero for the deadliest nuclear disaster in history when an ‘accident’ destroyed a reactor and caused deadly radiation to spread throughout the city.

The levels of radiation remain too high for people to live there again though it’s safe for tourist to visit. The city will stay abandoned forever, as that much radiation won’t vanish for hundreds of years.

4. House of the Bulgarian Communist Party — Mount Buzludzha, Bulgaria

The Buzludzha monument or the ‘House-Monument of the Bulgarian Communist Party’ used to be a wonder back in the day. Opened in 1981, it served as a symbolic meeting point for the communist regime. But with the fall of the Soviet Union in less than a decade later it went into disrepair; now abandoned, this huge concrete building looks like an alien ship.

The extreme location of this otherworldly monument, on Mount Buzludzha, puts it in the path of severe storms, ravaging winds and harsh winters. The outer windows were the first to go, escorted by the most of the metal-tiled roof, which is why the plans are being made to restore it.
