Ayanfe-Oyebanjo said trouble started when Nwudo took his six-year-old daughter, Chinonye, to visit Nkennaya at White River town in the evening of April 27. Later, Nwudo and Nkennaya proceeded to buy food for Nwudo’s daughter, Chinonye, at KFC restaurant in the area. Shortly after buying the food, some bystanders raised false alarm alleging that both men kidnapped the six-year-old girl.

The community members immediately descended on them, beating them with different kinds of weapons. Nwudo began to shout that the girl was his daughter and pleaded that they speak to his South African wife to confirm his claim – which actually saved his life.

The statement added that the police later intervened and called for backup to rescue the victims. Nkennaya died at the hospital on Sunday April 28th while Nwudo is in critical health condition.

While sharing a photo of Samuel with friends, a Nigerian man based in Mpulanga said the mob only had to wait for confirmation of the men’s claims rather than mob them.

A professor of history should understand basic etymology_ origins of a word as etymology conveys the original motive behind the word even if the meaning changes over time.

Case in point the etymology of the word "nice" means in its simplest latin form as "ignorant or unaware or foolish", something negative.

The new meaning of the word now has positive connotations as when we say "He did something nice for me." The original meaning of the word still holds its resonance in the new use of the word even though the meaning has changed.

As far as cape town is concerned.

Lions head, cable way and table mountain are close to each other so same day activity.

Mojo market is in sea point area so if you are staying close by easy walk or uber. its usually nice starting Thursday evenings to Sunday but you can go any day as well.

Wine tasting is a full's days activity.

habour cruise is not bad but if you can take the Robben island tour instead. That is a full's day activity so keep in mind.

The aquarium is at the V & A waterfront. you can combine this with the harbor cruise or Robben island tour. They are in the same area.

Book in advance if you can cause you may not get the time slot you want. I would also suggest Woodstock Sunday food market as well, lots of tourists.


If you want to maximize the places you will see all in a day then book the cape town bus tour. there are different ones and you can consolidate all you want to see in a day. Some of them take you to the wine farms and through some townships as well which is nice cause you get to see the other side of cape town life, but start the tour early so you maximize your time.

All the above areas are all Tourist friendly and not located in Johannesburg's CBD so you are fine to explore.

No fear like that Johannesburg is like any other big cosmopolitan city, just keep your wits about you. If you end up downtown, Maponeng is an area that is being revitalized and is safe to travel to. They have coffee shops, eateries and the likes but again the places you have already scouted will have all of that in abundance. Try the Apartheid museum as well, its an interesting visit and learn a lot about South African history from there.

I would have suggested a lovely drive to Sun city about two hours away if you have a vehicle. They have a nice casino and resort out there but again its closer to winter now and I don't know how the weather is like right now cause its nicer in the summer time so do your research if you intend to go there cause you have limited time.

America, he said was named after an Italian explorer called Amerigo Vespucci. Amerigo was known to denote his discovered land a “ New World”. So long after her independence, the New World appropriated quite well with the dream of all Americans.

“What about Nigeria”? He asked me.

“Flora Shaw Lugard coined Nigeria and her inspiration was the river Niger” I replied.

“Wrong”. The historian responded. “Republic of Niger was named after River Niger not Nigeria”. That’s what white historians want you to believe. I don’t understand the gullibility of blacks. You have so much information but chose not to research but dwell and believe all the white man says” he added.

Your White professor friend has some audacity to express the above sentiment. What does he mean by gullibility. Did he get into the mind of Flora to understand the root of her use of the word "Niger" at that point in time.

This word however was not common in the European and English Lexicon for Africans and was strictly an American term.

Flora and Lord Lugard were British and upper class ones as well who would most likely not use those sorts of terms in common speech, therefore it is speculation at best to say that Flora's idea comes from this thought process and rather Flora would more or less have used the word "Niger" in the same fashion as the founders of the "Royal Niger company"_ A British company established as a commercial entity in what is known as Nigeria today before the very naming of the country.
