Its not only Zimbabweans Nigeria Ibos told Zuma they are hated and killed in Nigeria and would rather die in SA than go back.
SO they straight went up to Zuma and told him this right smack in his face. Some brave Igbos out there.

I am guessing his government is so stupid that their diplomats in SA cannot confirm outright if this is indeed a verifiable issue.

Miaraka:
Hi, Morpheus 24! I've decided to come to Nigeria for a face to face exchange of views. I'm in Lagos since last night. I'll soon be on my way attend a funeral at one of the villages.
Regarding, your "perception is not always reality", I concur with you. That notwithstanding, I'd like to remind you that One Man's Reality is Another Man's Perception. The reality I see in Sandton, Johannesburg or that you see in Lagos, may not necessarily be identical to the reality that squatter camp dwellers see and experience. While the majority of Nigerians are definitely the best people in the world, that doesn't necessarily mean that South Africa has also been blessed with a majority of the Nigerian angels I've met lived, studied and worked with since 1977.
Be that as it may, in South Africa, the Governent and the majority of South Africans are united in saying that Nothing Can Justify the maiming and killing of fellow humans, wherever they may have come from. As I've already said in a number of posts, we've already graduated from the level of expressing our shock, anger and disgust with regard to attacks on immigrants. We are now busy working hard and putting measures in place to obviate, once and for all, the underlying causes of attacks on immigrants as well as the violent nature of our society which we inherited from our apartheid past.
If you find sweet solace and cosy comfort in a perpetual embrace with the demon of anger, please keep it up and we'll pray that you survive the concomitant devastating effects.
Good for you. You are welcome in Nigeria. As you know you will find Nigerians eager to exchange views with you despite the recent events in your country. You willalso find them trying to understand a country they have very little knowledge of and no educated elite, working class individual or simple minded peasant shall relegate or shun you to the status of a "makwerekwere". Long live PAN-AFRICANISM

As far as the comment on "perpetual embrace with the demon of anger", I can only respond with a Nigerian saying that goes something like this...." As long as dem born MUGU everyday, 419 no dey finish".

In other words as long as stu.p.idity and ignorance exists amongst your people, Morpheus24's anger will be there to counter it.

Will they ever consider that? i doubt. Kenya has its refugee camps for Somali citizens. Do you think people are in SA running away from wars, noo man. 99% of all foreigners are economic migrant. They are here for better life. They come from countries where poverty is a daily thing. Future looks blink, then their only hope is to make it in SA alive. You heard many Zimbabweans saying they would rather die in SA than die of hunger in Zimbabwel
At least you have common sense to recognize and economic migrant disguised as a "refugee".

You must be a really sad person. Have you ever cared to find out what the www stands for? Its a World Wide Web, you can't claim territory on the net mumu, I'm in my country using my phone, my data and my time there is no way in hell that I might be infringing in your space.
For the rest of the your copy & paste garbage you spewed up there, please save it for yourself. Its our business not yours until we start trooping into your country in thousands.
Again, at last our government will work hard to ensure that we bring order in our country. Now you can cry me a river buddy! tongue
#SayNoToXenophobia
The truth hurts which is why a small feeble mind like yours would translate this to "garbage".

Again the self absorbed, self centered broken mind of the post Apatheid black South African is not difficult to comprehend. They use words like... "it is our business not yours"...."cry me a river"...."You must go" to mask their insecurities and the inability to take responsibility of their own short comings, solve their internal issues outside of picking on the "other". The more you do this the more you expose yourselfs to the world.

This sickness is an aftermath and residual effect of isolationist measures instituted by the Apatheid govt and which continue today in the minds of Black South Africans.

THey chant "VIva Africa"".. use phrases like "nkosi sike leli Africa" and even dare to affix the Suffix "Africa" in their national identity yet everyone outside their borders in the rest of the continent are strangers and an enemy to the state, legal and illegal I might add.

When all the immigrants are gone. YOur problem will not be solved. I can bet $1 million dollars on that. Why? because you are too S> TUP>Id to identify the root causes and prefer to hide your dirty laundry in house.

PS.. I can't cry me a river on the internet..... am simply using my data any computer and my fingers to type

Uwc & thanks for the comment bro. Just a bit to remind them how they lived decades ago, how some African countries stood up for them, how some people help them and came to their rescue. They are now seeing these people as enemies, as threats in their homeland. It shouldn't be, we are humans not animal. We should value lives, properties, starting with us, we can make this world a better place for us all. No to Destruction/Killing, No to Racism, No to Xenophobia.
During my time in the US, African foreigners faced this same antagonism from both Whites and the African American populations. AA had a terribly negative perception of Africans because of what they had been taught about the continent and it really was a translation of self hate. Over time the prejudices dwindled as more AA intermingled with second generation Africans who exposed them to their native cultures, tied to the realities of the continent they were exposed to via unconventional media sources.

The US is an immigrant based country which makes it quite unique from other countries with African migrant populations so maybe you can't really compare the two.
Foreign AffairsRe: Rare Photos: Remembering Apartheid In South Africa. by morpheus24: 7:39pm On May 05, 2015
@ OP

I thank you for this flash backs on the day to day life during the Apatheid era.

It truly sheds light on the mindset of many South Africans which many Africans can't quite grasp yet. It further sheds light on the xenophobia and psychology of the country for both White, black, colored and indian peoples.

The gross similarities between the jim crow era in the United States is remarkable thus they peoples would share similar psychologies but probably in different stages as America has transcended many of its racial hurdles compared to South Africa
Foreign AffairsRe: Xenophobia: 8yrs Old South African Girl Mocked For Bearing A Nigerian Name by morpheus24:
Miaraka:
Morpheus 24, you don't seem to get tired of trying to show that all South African are "xenophobic". Now you're even suggesting that the so-called xenophobia is embedded in our psyche. When you do that, you sound like the worst version of a xenophobe that has walked on the surface of Mother Earth. I'd like to believe that you didn't have time to think about the real meaning of your insult. You said it in anger. As the the intellectual that I sincerely believe you are, you may wish to peruse my two posts (see above) based on my lifetime experience here on the African continent, Europe and the US. Check them out and respond. I'd also propose that you begin to calm down, look at the bigger picture and propose the way forward for Nigeria-South Africa relations and the whole African continent.
Been on this forum much much longer than you my young friend and have pretty much exchanged words and ideas with many or your comrades.

I have also been on many a South African sites where Nigerians are mentioned in despicable manners even to the extent of using words like "necklace" and the likes. The problem I have is with the continued generalization of a country with 160 million people 95% of which are harshing out a daily living and go about their daily lives trying to survive. I see this folk everyday I walk out my door and it is an INSULT to them and by extension to me. They don't have a voice to speak out against people who do this. This is not to say I do not recognize my country has a negative image problem but perception is not necessarily reality. It is what you want to see.

It is unfortunate that the lesser exemplary Nigerians make their way to your country and commit crimes and I have never nor will I ever make excuses for their actions on this forum. It is a simple process to deal with these miscreants. Send them back home. Ban them from coming to your country. No one will fault you for this.

My problem is a South African's inability to look beyond his borders and understand the broader issues of the continent you live in. The continued excuses made for your country men's violent tendencies and the inability to face the psychological effects of APartheid which translate to Xenophobia, criminality and self hate thus continuing to shape your perception and vision of the continent you live in. When it is brought up ya'll become sensitive and a false sense of Patriotism is used to mask those insecurities.

When you start owning up to your issues then I will calm down.

When you stop calling Nigerians drug dealers, I will stop calling your people Xenophobes

Ya ll are not ready to sit down and have a meaningful discussion yet, You are still dealing with too many INTERNAL issues.

Until then I remain the ever relentless, in your face Morpheus24

http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/Emmanuel-Sithole-was-his-real-name-sister-20150504

Johannesburg - Mozambican national Emmanuel Sithole, who was murdered in Alexandra, was not using a fake name, his family said on Monday.

His name was Emmanuel Josias Sithole his sister Thando told News24 outside the Alexandra Magistrate's Court, where four men appeared for her brother's murder.

Speaking at a Freedom Day celebration last week, President Jacob Zuma said Sithole had used an alias while he lived in South Africa.

Thando Sithole said: "The thing is my brother was killed. Jacob Zuma was supposed to focus on those people to get into jail. Surnames and what, he was supposed to ask the family before telling the public."

She said she did not know if her brother was in South Africa legally, but his passport was used to obtain his death certificate.

Again spoken like a true illiterate without a passport who is stuck in his shack in his Bantustan.

Again the highest number of black migrant graduates are Nigerians even after you consider relative population size.

1. Approximate number of diasporans outside the country 10 million

2. Extrapolate Women and Children.... 5 million

3. Extrapolate % professionals, students, entrpreneurs you get about 4. 5 million

4. leaving about 500,000 miscreants approximately 1% of the male diasporan population

If they were to tally the number of black immigrants outside of their countries who are professionals, in colleges with MBAs, in Havard, Yale, Oxford, Cambridge, Doctors, Scientist, Lawyers, etc. Nigerians would come out a resounding miles ahead even when you take relative numbers.

Please get a passport, leave your Bantustans and go see what the world looks like instead of soaking up news from newspaper articles.
