Geminiivory:Tire? Nah, I’m living my best life trolling morons like you, my dear ![]() I’ll rest just immediately after the 2023 election because I’m sure that half of your entire population would have committed suicide by that time (Biafra or death!) So Pa Adebanjo whom you guys have always been praising for not being on the same page with Tinubu (your nightmare ) and for always talking about power shift to the East is now a liar, right? ![]() It’s amazing how you Ipobian Jews easily switch allegiance from people who had been loyal to you anytime they say what you don’t want to hear. |
emonis88:Really? Imagine He even said it so confidently that one would think that was exactly what I said verbatim. No sir, I didn’t say that but yes, you don’t stone an elder, especially an elder that is not from your region and who is highly respected by his people. Awo was and still remains a revered figure to the Yorubas. Naturally, stoning him was an act of gross impudence against the whole Yoruba race. |
emonis88:I was expecting you to say “I’ve seen Azikiwe stoned, on a visit to Lagos, that I saw with my own eyes” What’s the correlation between what I said and late Lateef Jakande (a Yoruba man) getting stoned by his people? |
Built2last:Dear Ipobian, assuming you had a brain, you would have known that the statement above showed that Awo was a man with a big heart. Despite getting attacked by your fathers, he still wanted them. I won’t say he did it out of sheer benevolence tho, that’s what we call diplomacy and that diplomatic, gentleman acumen and character, my guy, is alien to alaigbo ![]() |
trutharena:That is why we call them children of hate and perdition. No be today e start. Imagine the Yorubas stoning the great Zik it’s just not in our culture.Indeed, apple doesn't fall far from the tree. |
benjackugo:And you will never see all these Ipobian children of hate condemn their shameless leaders but go carry other ppl matter for head like gala ![]() Just imagine it was Sanwolu or governor Mala Buni that’s saying this utter rubbish ![]() |
benjackugo:And you will never see all these Ipobian children of hate condemn their shameless leaders but go carry other ppl matter for head like gala ![]() |
29kobo:It’s sad really |
Maxymilliano:See me laughing like a baby Make I go confirm this news ![]() |
tinsel:The same Dariye bah or a different one? The one imprisoned for misappropriation of public funds and forgiven by the thieving-general is now being pardoned and absorbed into the system of a party that claims and promises to be different ![]() The day you ipob Jews and the Nigerian youth in general come to the realization that these party people (APC=PDP=LP) belong to one and the same evil entity is the day y’all start having sense ![]() OP bia correct this Headline. It should read “The corruption-fighting Obituary’s party just offered the thieving ex-convict, Dariye, the Plateau State Senatorial ticket to work alongside Peter Gregory Obituary to rescue Nigeria from the claws of the corrupt govt of the day” ![]() Nigeria is indeed the comedy Capital of the world. |
Realist12:If God-fatherism is the system that will eventually lead Nigeria to the promise land, the land of our dream, then we would love to be ruled by god-fathers with a lot to show. Here is tax-payers money working really well for them. Tinubu remains the brain behind the Lagos state‘s successive governments harmonious rulership (the incumbent continues from where the immediate past stops) and as such, I think the man should have raised a respectable/feared figure like himself; more like a successor should in case he passes because any human society without a head is definitely destined to fail. |
oyin44:But it’s advisable for an Easterner to campaign freely in the SW and the North and even have the gut to lead a protest in another person’s State? They want to be allowed free campaign access in other people’s Lands and States, right? Is this still democracy? If others should try half of what they’re doing, they’ll tag them as being intolerant and start running to the UN claiming marginalization and suppression. People wey never get power and don dey do like mad dog already. Come rule the zoo make we see ![]() |
tinsel:I wish this writer was addressing literate people because this piece is a great eye-opener and my best part is where he said “ Peter Obi is not a fresh quantity that just dropped from another planet” which is the exact thing that’s annoying we the sensible majority. So even Mazi Nnamdi Kanu also condemned this thief’s family business he was funding illegally with Anambra state’s money. This is the reason why nobody wants to die for this country/his people. So these miscreants have swiftly forgotten and left Nnamdi Kanu hanging in prison and now singing praises of Obituary all of a sudden This life get as e be aswear Just fight for your head and your family, nobody cares. I swear, ppl like Yele Sowore, Nnamdi Kanu or Sunday Igboho (All youth without any political stain. They are new to the Nigerian standard corrupt system) will make a better young-people-oriented president than this sabre-tooth snake pretending to be modest without any known achievement as a former leader (just the same format Buhari used on us in 2015) |
ThrownBack:No, he was only trying to point out how moronic your you and your ilks are by asking how much the state was making at the time to be able to afford giving an individual a whopping sum of 50 billion naira every month. ![]() How much Lagos con dey make every month? It’s worrisome that you see nothing wrong in lying against the persons of your political enemies. Nothing much is to be expected from a particular set of people who believe they are living in a zoo and are being ruled by a clone from Sudan ![]() These set of retards have always wanted out but just recently, they started falling in love with the zoo and are now more than willing to be animals come 2023. Is our God not a miraculous God? ![]() |
buksarki:No sir. Any neutral person who claims to be youth-leadership-orientated; who has a functioning brain; who is not a terrorist sympathizer and also not an ‘mpkuru Miri’ addict will naturally choose OMOYELE SOWORE of African Action Congress party and not some former PDP thief you moronic lots are trying hard to portray as a saint. ![]() None of you hypocrites is ready to talk about Obi’s complicity in the Ezu river massacre but are quick to hang Tinubu over the lekki Toll gate incident like the man had control over the military. When did an ordinary party chieftain become so power enough to give orders to soldiers ? Una no gree protest for una region but are ever ready to destroy other people’s land with protests; why don’t you let us start by protesting the Ezu river of death mystery and leave us to protest the evil that happened on our own land?. Una dey mad well well.

Ahmback:Very unpopular opinion. Humans are too reactionary. We often forget the root causes of issues and often tend to make the aggressors the victims. Let’s not forget that the Japanese started it. May God have mercy upon the lost souls but who knows what our world would have become in the hands of Nazi Germany and the imperialist Japanese regime if those bombs weren’t used on them ![]() |
PandoraObi:This is one of the natural reactions to expect. The uncircumcised Ipob Jews have finally turned this campaign into a religious war and that is definitely a political suicide. At least, we the sensible majority have now been vindicated. Now everyone can see how senseless these ipob miscreants (apologies to all moderate Igbos) are. One even said that Obi would win if all Christians and a few northern Muslims join hands . On seeing this statement and many other religious war rhetorics coming from these inept set of humans, the perception of a typical Muslim towards Obi will never remain the same. Now imagine how a core northern muslim would start seeing Peter Obi (as a religious bigot) even though the moronic statement didn’t come from him. I call this a political own goal ![]() |
aribisala0:Don’t mind the mischief maker. Looking for argument where there’s virtually none because I see no reason why anyone in his right senses would try to debase other people’s culture of respect for their elders. What does cheating have to do with being respectful? |
Gandollaar:Sweetie, pls can you quote one incoherent and erroneous data/claim ever made by Tinubu? And point of correction, I’m not just a Tinubu’s supporter, I’m among the sensible majority, the haters of lies and terrorism; the supporters of visible achievements and the freethinkers who do not reason through their asses like you ![]() |
MadamExcellency:Don’t be mad baby girl. Someone who habitually denies what he says is also a liar, ma. Also someone who is always incoherent with statical data shouldn’t go anywhere near governance because it shows gross irresponsibility. So don’t be mad when people call your lord and savior a liar . Denial and confidently dishing out fake statistics have always been a part and parcel of Obituary’s CV![]() |
wolesmile:I just laugh at their gross stupidity. It’s needless to keep gracing them with your precious time. I laugh and pass because Obituary’s presidential aspiration is nothing short of comedy ![]() |
wolesmile:Lol, me too. I don’t see him as a liar (Alhaja Lai Mohammed still holds the supreme position) ![]() I see him as someone trying too hard to look and seem intelligent so as to live up to the sudden hype of his slow supporters. He is just yet another thief acting saintly. His statistical analysis skill is just too poorly refined. He wants to be seen as an economist and orator on the same level as Prof Yemi Osinbajo/Charles Soludo. So much for an economists with poor statistical skill always dishing out unverified data thinking he is addressing only his dunce supporters who swallow every nonsense he says. Away from that, just imagine Atiku proudly justifying investing #20 Billion naira from the Adamawa state coffers (assuming he ruled the state) in his Mikano company (as a shareholder) That sounds awful right, but Peter did it and it’s seen as being business-minded. If Atiku or BAT did the same thing, then it would count as corruption, that’s what I call partial dispensation of justice and it’s worrisome. |
Seniorwriter:This is one of the many reasons why we say you guys are not intelligent. The writer you just called a liar specifically said ”in 2018” Then he (Obi) was the running mate to Atiku Abubakar but he has now automatically become a saint without stains by ditching Atiku and PDP. The day you guys realize that these politicians are one and the same set of evil creatures is the day Nigeria starts working for all. Small time now, ppl like you will start shouting “school na scam” ![]() Read! African child, read before attacking others, it makes you look unsound ![]() |
AndroidAI:Thumbs up for this. This is the comment I’ve been waiting for. iPhones are designed to last you for at least 4 years before the need for upgrading arises but it’s sad that here in Africa, a lot of young folks are giving in to peer pressure to buy latest gadgets just to feel ‘belong’. You would argue that ‘oyinbos’ too often do the same thing but what’s their purchasing powers compared to ours? (30k naira minimum wage vs $290/week in the US). Truth be told, iPhones are truly worth the hype and I’ve realized that d ppl condemning them are mostly non-users. I was a diehard RIM fan (from bold 3 to 5 to z10) and I use all the three popular OSes (windows, Android and iOS), sincerely speaking, apple’s devices integration and ecosystem (iphone, iPad, iwatch plus Mac) is just too sweet and the feeling of exclusivity makes them even more addictive, only blackberries made us feel this way . I always enjoin ppl to make sure they use both platforms before starting bias and unnecessary argument |
Agboriotejoye:@bolded are your own words, I never said Oodua was from Southern Nigeria. Your claim is akin to saying that Abraham was an Israeli when actually he was the Father of Jacob and Jacob=Israel I.e Father of Israel. According to Nigerian geopolitical division (which is subject to changes), Saraki is a middle Beltan/northerner and would seize from being a northerner if the govt decides to, let’s say, rearrange the States or the country eventually splits but he is naturally and culturally not a northerner and this is not subject to any changes. Kwara state (Ilorin specifically) is best described as a confluence point between the Yorubas and fulanis but the later owns Ilorin through conquest. Kwara can be called a no man’s land but the Yorubas got there before the arrival of the Fulani traitors. Now to Benin and Togo Yorubas, ask them to ask their fathers where they call home, they will surely trace it down to Southwestern Nigeria, sir. Every Yoruba you see will tell you that he is a descendant of the great Oduduwa, the patriarch of the Yorubas and that fact will never change forever and ever. Even Saraki will tell you just the same thing. The difference btw the Yorubas and Fulanis is that you can’t say that the Fulanis are originally from Nigeria, no, they’re not and their root is hard to reach. Only the Hausas are indigenous to northern Nigeria even though they all also widely spread across the African continent, their home is the northern Nigeria. So sir/ma, Olorunfemi can and will never be a northerner in this life and beyond sir. At Tinubu should have chosen his vice from among a Christian. All these arguments is even needless as you’re stylishly drifting us away from the topic for which this thread was created. They could have chosen a Kanuri, Kuje, Fulani, Hausa, Nupe or Igala Christian clergy to head the association. So much for people fighting for political inclusion and here we have ppl like you trying so hard to justify the rubbish claim that a Yoruba man from KABBA was the only qualified Christian living in the north from the year 1988 to this day. |
obaaderemi:You are right, my friend Are you happy now ? ![]() |
Agboriotejoye:Thanks for the correction bro but I intentionally included them for a reason. The Nupes and Igala are not found anywhere else other than their indigenous homelands of Niger and Kogi states respectively. So I’m still solidly on my stance that it would have made a little more sense if such people are called northerners than calling someone whose root can only be traced to Ife /Oyo, a northerner. Even the Yorubas in Dahomey, Togo and Ivory Coast will tell you they are descendants of Oodua. |
CoronaVirusRelo:You get time You never see anything ![]() Some nairalanders will soon demand that a Nigerian man be made the Pharaoh of Egypt ![]() These are indigenous titles for crying out loud |
obaaderemi:Insult? Nah bros, perhaps you’ve mistaken me for an Ipob youth. It’s ok, that won’t dissuade me from schooling you. So, to Awoniyi’s reference, ACF was created to fight for the right of the Northeners and the middle beltans in unison (emphasis on Unity). This was done in 2003 (wiki) to make the middle Beltans trust the northern majority and this, of course, was a really nice, humane move, kudos to ACF . The screenshot below will open your eyes to see that the middle Beltans don’t see themselves to be northerners. Again, middle Beltans/North-central ppl are not Northeners and it’s wrong to pick them to represent the interest of the whole north (they will obviously not gain much support/popularity. Away from that, My friend, you’re actually telling me that CAN didn’t see any core Christian Fulani, Kuje, Kanuri, Nupe or even Igala man to make their president since 1988, huh? CAN has had 7 presidents since inception, having just two northerners in a society that’s divided into two major parts (North and South) is bad enough, ok? Now these two not being originally Northeners by tribe/birth makes things worse and denies them the moral right to preach equity to others. I hope you got my drift now? Stay blessed.
|
21siyanbola:Whatttttt?! You these nairaland ppl wee not kill pesin . Sultan is the Arabic form of King so we can say Sultanate = kingdom, ok?So a southerner can and will never be coronated to head a Sultanate just the same way you will never see an Hausa king down south. Now back to the article, fact checker fall my hand small sha but I understand that they’re just trying to be just. How on earth will you categorize an “ Olorunfemi Onaiyekan” as a northern man? Just how? This is like saying that Pastor Oyedepo is a Northerner since he is a native of the north-central state of Kwara. FYI, kabba is the Yoruba part of Kogi state, which was formerly a part of Kwara and there’s nothing northern about them. They speak their own dialect of Yoruba which most other Yoruba people would understand but might not be able to speak. I wasn’t going to put mouth in this because I don’t see CAN as people representing our interests as Christians but let anyone who seeks equity do so with clean hands. So the same CAN that has been clamoring for a muslim/Christian ticket has had just one Northern head since over 40 years of existence, and to make things worse, this so called northerner is JOHN OLORUNFEMI ONAIYEKAN and you guys are defending this utter rubbish. I can see you watch too much Zee world, that’s why you’re extraordinarily….. ![]() |
