So Pa Adebanjo whom you guys have always been praising for not being on the same page with Tinubu (your nightmare grin) and for always talking about power shift to the East is now a liar, right? grin
It’s amazing how you Ipobian Jews easily switch allegiance from people who had been loyal to you anytime they say what you don’t want to hear.

No sir, I didn’t say that but yes, you don’t stone an elder, especially an elder that is not from your region and who is highly respected by his people.
Awo was and still remains a revered figure to the Yorubas. Naturally, stoning him was an act of gross impudence against the whole Yoruba race.

What’s the correlation between what I said and late Lateef Jakande (a Yoruba man) getting stoned by his people?

Front page material

See the sensational headline they gave it.#

They won't highlight this part of his statement. ''According to him, Awolowo once told him during his lifetime, “No, you must work with the Igbo because you cannot defeat these Fulani people alone”.

Awo insisted according to this article that Yoruba's need Igbos despite the incident but they want to ridicule and misinterpret what the old man is saying

The MODs are actively looking for anything that favours a certain candidate.

I posted many pictures of the Labour party conference holding in Abuja today.

2 MODs read it and moved on

This will hit front page in no time
Dear Ipobian, assuming you had a brain, you would have known that the statement above showed that Awo was a man with a big heart. Despite getting attacked by your fathers, he still wanted them. I won’t say he did it out of sheer benevolence tho, that’s what we call diplomacy and that diplomatic, gentleman acumen and character, my guy, is alien to alaigbo grin

This is for some of the sophistico Yoruba youth that fell for the antics of Ibo people that always say they hate Tinubu not because he’s Yoruba and bla bla bla.

Awolowo was stoned when he went to the East to campaign back then and this is Pa Adebanjo the same Afenifere guy laying claim to that. Is Awolowo also a bad person like Tinubu according to the Ibos? Or why was he stoned?

Azikiwe campaigned easily in the SW but Awo was stoned in the SE for campaigning.

That’s the same thing they are doing to Tinubu. They are making sure he won’t be able to campaign in the SE, where they term any Igbo that support Tinubu as efulefu and always cancel them.

Yet the same people want to be left alone to campaign in the SW while some Yoruba guys with severe confusionists complex will be sheering them on.

The Yoruba are the only tribe in this country without tribal consciousness and it is as tho something is wrong.
That is why we call them children of hate and perdition. No be today e start. Imagine the Yorubas stoning the great Zik huh it’s just not in our culture.
Indeed, apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Lagos, fastest growing city . All thanks to Tinubu laying good legacy for successive governors. Lagos likes good things and have good taste , we can't accept mediocrity hence the state can't employ another party asides APC . They blame Tinubu for Buhari's performance where he's clearly limited and not part of the government yet deny him of his mentees perfomance in Lagos.
That's just hypocritical.
To those waiting for the federal government to build a port in the East Lagos has shown us it's achievable and Tinubu has promised some ports at the APC primary. Let's vote Tinubu
If God-fatherism is the system that will eventually lead Nigeria to the promise land, the land of our dream, then we would love to be ruled by god-fathers with a lot to show. Here is tax-payers money working really well for them. Tinubu remains the brain behind the Lagos state‘s successive governments harmonious rulership (the incumbent continues from where the immediate past stops) and as such, I think the man should have raised a respectable/feared figure like himself; more like a successor should in case he passes because any human society without a head is definitely destined to fail.

Why use the word "lie" instead of "incorrect figure", if it was not meant to cut on the character than policy?

I don't categorise most of the things PO say as "Lies" in the real sense of the word. The problem with that man, Obi, is that he wants to sound intelligent to his gullible followers. But the more he tries to do this by reeling out false figures, the more he shows how unintelligent he is. But he knows his gullible audience. They swallow everything he says without crosschecking the facts.
His lie, which I have seen so far, was saying his investment in a certain company is now worth $100M. I heard the interview where he said it. But I became disappointed when he denied ever saying it.
My biggest disappointment with his followers is how they tagged someone that invested ₦20b state fund into his private company without any ROI a man of integrity?
Lol, me too. I don’t see him as a liar (Alhaja Lai Mohammed still holds the supreme position) grin
I see him as someone trying too hard to look and seem intelligent so as to live up to the sudden hype of his slow supporters. He is just yet another thief acting saintly. His statistical analysis skill is just too poorly refined. He wants to be seen as an economist and orator on the same level as Prof Yemi Osinbajo/Charles Soludo. So much for an economists with poor statistical skill always dishing out unverified data thinking he is addressing only his dunce supporters who swallow every nonsense he says.
Away from that, just imagine Atiku proudly justifying investing #20 Billion naira from the Adamawa state coffers (assuming he ruled the state) in his Mikano company (as a shareholder) That sounds awful right, but Peter did it and it’s seen as being business-minded. If Atiku or BAT did the same thing, then it would count as corruption, that’s what I call partial dispensation of justice and it’s worrisome.

PhonesRe: The New Lad In Apple’s Lineup: Iphone 14 Starts At NGN495,000 In Nigeria by Morphinne: 10:08pm On Aug 06, 2022
AndroidAI:
See, if you get the iPhone, it might outlive you. It's a rugged phone. Fortunately many want new models every year and that's because they can afford it. If you should get the iphone 13 now, you can expect to use it for 5+ years before you start thinking of an upgrade.

The design of the iPhone works for me. The only thing remaining is for them to remove the notch. IPhone isn't forcing anyone to buy their new models every year. For instance, it's only recently that the iPhone 7 stopped receiving updates.

You can imagine that. My dad have been using the iPhone 7 for 6 years now, and he's still rocking it. I'm planning to get him the iPhone 14 once it's out, cause now, he needs to upgrade.

Aside from that, iPhone has class. I remember working with a Swedish company remotely, and using an Andriod felt like i wasn't part of the team lol. Once you start using the latest iPhones, you wouldn't ever think of going back to the Android.

Take this from someone who used Andriod for years, before porting to iPhone. I have used Techno, Redmi, Samsung, and now iPhone. I think now, i am at home.
Thumbs up for this. This is the comment I’ve been waiting for. iPhones are designed to last you for at least 4 years before the need for upgrading arises but it’s sad that here in Africa, a lot of young folks are giving in to peer pressure to buy latest gadgets just to feel ‘belong’. You would argue that ‘oyinbos’ too often do the same thing but what’s their purchasing powers compared to ours? (30k naira minimum wage vs $290/week in the US). Truth be told, iPhones are truly worth the hype and I’ve realized that d ppl condemning them are mostly non-users. I was a diehard RIM fan (from bold 3 to 5 to z10) and I use all the three popular OSes (windows, Android and iOS), sincerely speaking, apple’s devices integration and ecosystem (iphone, iPad, iwatch plus Mac) is just too sweet and the feeling of exclusivity makes them even more addictive, only blackberries made us feel this way grin. I always enjoin ppl to make sure they use both platforms before starting bias and unnecessary argument

Agboriotejoye:
By this, you are saying Oodua is a Southern Nigerian Funny thing though is that Oodua was never a Nigerian not to mention being a northerner or southerner. It is good you mentioned Yorubas in Benin Rep. Does your submission imply that Yorubas in Benin Rep are also Southern Nigerians? What about Fulanis? Are they Senegalese, Nigeriens or Northern Nigerians?
The term North and South Nigerian is a delineation along British protectorates that have nothing to do with ancestral origin or cultural roots. So it is disingenuous to seem to denigrate it when it does not suit your narrative.
Let me ask. If Saraki were to emerge Presidential candidate of a political party, will he be representing the S(W) or N(C)? Let me even make it real. When Saraki was Senate President with Osinbajo as VP, was it seen as two Yorubas holding 2 and 3 positions in Nigeria? Did Yorubas say one of us is the Senate President?
@bolded are your own words, I never said Oodua was from Southern Nigeria. Your claim is akin to saying that Abraham was an Israeli when actually he was the Father of Jacob and Jacob=Israel I.e Father of Israel.
According to Nigerian geopolitical division (which is subject to changes), Saraki is a middle Beltan/northerner and would seize from being a northerner if the govt decides to, let’s say, rearrange the States or the country eventually splits but he is naturally and culturally not a northerner and this is not subject to any changes. Kwara state (Ilorin specifically) is best described as a confluence point between the Yorubas and fulanis but the later owns Ilorin through conquest. Kwara can be called a no man’s land but the Yorubas got there before the arrival of the Fulani traitors.
Now to Benin and Togo Yorubas, ask them to ask their fathers where they call home, they will surely trace it down to Southwestern Nigeria, sir. Every Yoruba you see will tell you that he is a descendant of the great Oduduwa, the patriarch of the Yorubas and that fact will never change forever and ever. Even Saraki will tell you just the same thing. The difference btw the Yorubas and Fulanis is that you can’t say that the Fulanis are originally from Nigeria, no, they’re not and their root is hard to reach. Only the Hausas are indigenous to northern Nigeria even though they all also widely spread across the African continent, their home is the northern Nigeria. So sir/ma, Olorunfemi can and will never be a northerner in this life and beyond sir. At Tinubu should have chosen his vice from among a Christian. All these arguments is even needless as you’re stylishly drifting us away from the topic for which this thread was created. They could have chosen a Kanuri, Kuje, Fulani, Hausa, Nupe or Igala Christian clergy to head the association. So much for people fighting for political inclusion angry
and here we have ppl like you trying so hard to justify the rubbish claim that a Yoruba man from KABBA was the only qualified Christian living in the north from the year 1988 to this day.

Thanks for the correction bro but I intentionally included them for a reason. The Nupes and Igala are not found anywhere else other than their indigenous homelands of Niger and Kogi states respectively. So I’m still solidly on my stance that it would have made a little more sense if such people are called northerners than calling someone whose root can only be traced to Ife /Oyo, a northerner. Even the Yorubas in Dahomey, Togo and Ivory Coast will tell you they are descendants of Oodua.

Yet Sunday Awoniyi was chairman of AREWA Consultative Forum, a pan northern Nigerian group.
Stop insulting people to make a point as if you know it all yourself.
Insult? Nah bros, perhaps you’ve mistaken me for an Ipob youth.
It’s ok, that won’t dissuade me from schooling you. So, to Awoniyi’s reference, ACF was created to fight for the right of the Northeners and the middle beltans in unison (emphasis on Unity).
This was done in 2003 (wiki) to make the middle Beltans trust the northern majority and this, of course, was a really nice, humane move, kudos to ACF . The screenshot below will open your eyes to see that the middle Beltans don’t see themselves to be northerners.
Again, middle Beltans/North-central ppl are not Northeners and it’s wrong to pick them to represent the interest of the whole north (they will obviously not gain much support/popularity. Away from that, My friend, you’re actually telling me that CAN didn’t see any core Christian Fulani, Kuje, Kanuri, Nupe or even Igala man to make their president since 1988, huh?
CAN has had 7 presidents since inception, having just two northerners in a society that’s divided into two major parts (North and South) is bad enough, ok? Now these two not being originally Northeners by tribe/birth makes things worse and denies them the moral right to preach equity to others. I hope you got my drift now?
Stay blessed.

Now back to the article, fact checker fall my hand small sha but I understand that they’re just trying to be just. How on earth will you categorize an “ Olorunfemi Onaiyekan” as a northern man? Just how?
This is like saying that Pastor Oyedepo is a Northerner since he is a native of the north-central state of Kwara. FYI, kabba is the Yoruba part of Kogi state, which was formerly a part of Kwara and there’s nothing northern about them.
