princefunm:I’m sorry brr, it’s not my fault that you’ve chosen to be slow. I purposely wrote this in my first comment: “You will understand this when you are rich, you will be hungry to build a bigger empire. Your father’s wealth may make it EASIER for you to do than others but true fulfillment comes from your own wealth” Where in my comment did I imply that he wasn’t a rich kid? If you’re born to a rich family you automatically become a rich kid because you can easily get what others aren’t privileged to have but no right-thinking woman will give herself to an ambitionless rich man’s child i.e the one sharing this same dangerous thought process as yours. The young man never said he wasn’t a rich kid and I didn’t say that either. We are both saying that he didn’t view his father’s money as his and he worked his ass off to make sure he’s also rich hence the reason why he said what he said. Today, even without his father’s wealth, David remains one of the richest artists in the country and in Africa. |
Slizzords:I personally don’t like anything Corolla and even Toyota Camry (both big daddy and muscle) I tilt more towards Honda and the only Toyota I can recommend for you will be Toyota Avalon (you can get a clean Nigerian used 05-08 Avalon for as low as 3-3.5M) I will personally not buy any one below 2.8M but ensure you go with your mechanic. 08 camry has prevalent dashboard melting issue and engine oil drying up too quickly though it’s a nice, rugged car. The Avalon is spacious, luxurious and almost identical to the IS and ES Lexus but longer with generous cargo space and leg room. The interior is super nice and comfortable but the leather and dashboard materials are not solid. The peel off rather easily and the dashboard cracks easily too. Also avoid any pre 2010 Honda accord. Though the leg-pulling issue shouldn’t be an issue if you are the observant type and if you take good care of your car but I would rather avoid it altogether if I were you. Another thing I don’t really like about accord is something I’ve noticed but haven’t been seeing people talking about it. The body starts getting bloated over time even though they look elegant on the inside (interior) If you want the best alternative to the Nigerian-overhyped rav4 SuV, then Honda CrV is your best bet. Just go for an 07-09 model and if I were you, I would paint it all matte black to give it a touch of masculinity The interior is nice but Honda could have done better like they did with the 2012 models. If you live in rough terrain, I will strongly suggest going for the crv but if you are a speed person, it may not be what you want because it’s a 4-cylinder machine but where are we running to?. It also comes in 4WD but it’s not as common as the 2wheels drive models. |
immortalcrown:Like I said earlier, once you start making your own money, you will realize what it means to have your OWN money. He made no mistake saying when he had no money or do you think he thought we didn’t know he’s from a wealthy family? Your father’s money is not yours and even if he eventually wills everything to you, you don’t get real fulfillment having them until you have your own or even try surpassing whatever properties he willed to you (I mentioned this in my first comment) Your father’s money is not yours and you will only see it as yours if and only if you’re the lazy, visionlesss type. Rich kids carry this heavy burden of trying to surpass their parents’ empire. He sure knew what he was saying when he said what he said. We all know he’s from an affluent family and he never denied it. |
Slizzords:Hope he’s now feeling better? You weren’t specific about the car you want really. Do you want Foreign or Nigerian or used and sedan or SUV? Since your priority is mobility and fuel efficiency, I’ll advice that you go for foreign used Honda civic or a Nigerian used Toyota Corolla. I would sincerely not recommend the later because it attracts thieves and can be stolen/vandalized very easily but the earlier is not any better either at least, in the coming days because Uber have started approving them and what to expect is higher demand for it which will ultimately result to more theft. If you aren’t bothered about this issue (assuming you will invest in extensive security and not parking your car carelessly) then they are your best bet for fuel economy and reliability. If fueling won’t be a problem, then I would personally choose a duly inspected Nigerian used 2010 upwards Accord or naija used 05-08 Toyota Avalon or an 08-09 Honda CRV. Also, pls avoid Hyundai and don’t buy any cheap luxury cars from Germany (bmw, Benz, Audi, Volkswagen etc) Cheap German cars are the most expensive! Don’t be fooled by their pricing because I’m sure you’ll be seeing Benz C series at ridiculous prices like 1.5-2.9 million. Don’t be fooled, they aren’t cheap and remember to not buy what others are running from since it’s your first car. |
immortalcrown:Learn to read well my friend. David’s father is alive, hale and hearty and that’s why I said “your father’s money is not yours” and even if he dies and wills everything to you, true rich people don’t get fulfilled off other people’s (their fathers’) wealth through inheritance. Believe me, no rich parent wants his kids to be lazy and over-dependent on his wealth. He made no mistake saying “when I had no money” because the money weren’t his and it explains why the guy is one of the most hardworking young men you will ever come across despite being born with a silver spoon. In their early days, you might even think Wizkid’s family was better off. The young man knows what he was saying, your father’s money is not yours because it’s not yours! You will understand this when you are rich, you will be hungry to build a bigger empire. Your father’s wealth may make it easier for you to do than others but true fulfillment comes from your own wealth. |
immortalcrown:Poor man’s thinking and that’s what makes the difference between the two of you. My friend, your father’s money is not yours! Again, your parents’ money is not yours and you will never understand this until you start working for your own money. |
MasterJayJay:The audacity of a cannibalistic animal |
MasterJayJay:But your kinsmen are butchering themselves over the last portion of rice The irony |
Lekan239:Like I said earlier, you never enter well before; an abysmal pit . Until then, enjoy the rest of your day. |
Lekan239:This one never enter well before ![]() No matter how big you are, there are kpekus out there that will completely swallow you. Women should start investing more in VJ tightening. Slim ladies especially ![]() |
Gossiphub:This is one area where you will never measure up to the Yorubas. A civilized people and society are never allergic to diversity and multiculturalism e.g New York . The Yorubas are the only major tribe in Nigeria where nobody discriminates against the religion you choose to practice same way it’s done in working human societies. “Yes, you know my people are very funny; even as a Muslim you can’t get any job from the state government, meanwhile, the Igbo go to places where Muslims are living and they get jobs easily without any form of discrimination. But in Imo State, once they see you’re bearing a Muslim name, they will remove your name from the list of jobseekers and ask you to go to the North for jobs” |
ShitHead:Seconded. You don’t need it because it’s meant strictly for people who have brains ![]() |
I love this and also love the fact that this is coming from an opposition. Thanks Abia for setting the pace. Now, let the healthy competition begin |
Cj4charles:But eediots like you were saying that the NCL had no affiliation with the labor party months back when the NLC were scheming to cripple the new government |
teebillz:Why did you say @bold sir/ma? Of course, the human urine can produce a combustible end product because of the presence of Ammonia. The ammonia is the reason why your urine has that pungent smell and it’s why those girl used that cylinder you’re seeing up there. It’s for the collection and storage of the gas. So yes, the human urine can provide the needed combustion |
Glimpsetv:You can’t tell the value of a commodity by its auction price. Auctioning is another form of money laundering. The last gum chewed by Sir Alex Ferguson was auctioned for a whooping £390000 ![]() Check the headline of what you posted again. |
Cantonese:It’s your garri that is too much. Read the article again |
I pray God continues keeping your marriage from evil eyes but biko, I don’t want to be like your man. What kind of man tells his wife such a thing? Wahala for advisers o. A real man would have shut the amebo up without telling you a thing. Be sincere with yourself darling, are you going to sincerely tolerate seeing your male child simping away his life to keep his marriage? There’s this funny thing about women and it applies to almost every woman. Every woman wants a SIMPle man has husband but will never pray to have a son like him ![]() |
Realtruth2023:Omo werey I get your time |
Realtruth2023:I should normally not be engaging you but silence is not always the best answer for a pathological fuul. Your reason for the Igbos not voting for anybody except their son, Obi is that the APC has done nothing in the SE, right? Please tell me, what has Obi done in Lagos and for Lagosians to warrant getting so much votes and supports from the Yorubas and what has Atiku done for the good people of Osun state to warrant winning a Yoruba man in his homestead? Osun and Lagos giving their votes to outsiders and without any fear of intimidation shows nothing but a tolerant society. Kano, Zamfara, Bauchi and many other northern states giving Tinubu that much votes despite not being their son and despite having a Christian pastor wife shows nothing but tolerance and heterogeneity. The reason why Tinubu and Atiku were able to get so much vote in the North and South West respectively is that these two regions were open-minded, democratic and gave room for competition (just what we all want for Nigeria) You also said the APC did nothing for the SE, I’ll like to remind you that the Buhari’s 8-year Administration showed the SE more federal presence in the area of infrastructure than any other Nigerian government since 1999 (I know you are too dull to know this but go and ask your father) I’m not even trying convince you to vote for any outsider in the next election because the outsiders don’t even rate your region anymore. I’m only asking you to tell us your own definition of bigotry because what happened during the last election ultimately showed us which region was bigoted and the ones that welcoming and open for progressive competition. Buhari’s re-election and BAT’s presidential election winning shows that you can become Nigeria’s president with or without the SE votes meaning that you are inconsequential in the scheme of things. No presidential candidate can win this prestigious seat without the North and the South west but you see that East ![]() The south East is politically naive because you are too dull, predictable and homogeneous unlike the two other regions and even the more mature SS that are very heterogeneous. |
Realtruth2023:Like I said earlier, you are on course to break your father’s insanity record and you bringing 2003 Nigeria into the discussion shows my assumption is right after all. Nigeria has never been this divided all thanks to Peter the gbajue who made the election look like a war btw Christians and Muslims not knowing that the SW are far too civilized to be divided along religious line. I answered you based on what you said. You said you didn’t know who was more bigoted btw Emilokan and the northerner (your choice of words shows you were talking about the 2023 elections and not 2003) and I asked you to make it make sense to us what gave you the right to say such an indefensible statement. You called the people who were civil and democratic enough to spread their votes without giving ethnic sentiment a chance (e.g Osun and Lagos and many parts of Northern Nigeria) bigots while mischievously ignoring the fact that your region, the SE was the most INTOLERANT during the election. A Yoruba man could openly say he would vote for Obi or Atiku and likewise an Hausa man could also say he would vote for Emilokan, Obi or Atiku without any repercussions but imagine what would happen if someone had openly said he would vote for Tinubu in the heart of Onitsha in January 2023. What would happen to him is better left unimagined. Ozwor. |
Bubu4Sea:Mumu. At times I wonder how you animals reason. Please make this make sense to me. You just called the only two regions where votes were spread among the 3 major parties not minding if the candidates were their tribesmen or not while saying that your own region that gave no room for competition (i.e Obi was the only candidate who got 80% and above from his geopolitical zone) is the detribalized region. The south East was only region where oppositions who came second got less than 20% while the ‘son of the soil’ got nothing shy of 80% of total vote cast. I have friends who are Yorubas and gleefully supported and voted for either Obi or Atiku and I never crucified them but them born anybody well to openly vote for BAT or Atiku for that your enclave of cannibals? With what happened during that electioneering period, who and who should be called bigots? Which region gave no room for competition? Aren’t you slowly running mad like your father like this? |
Goodnewsforlife:I hate thieves and you’re acting like one. Your being triggered just ratified my assumption ![]() You be thief? C’mon, normal person shouldn’t be troubled by what I said. |
Goodnewsforlife:My friend, go and ask why armed robbery and petty theft seldom happen in the Arab world. Leave politicians for now and believe me, when judgements like this become the norm in Nigeria for kidnappers and armed robbers, Nigeria will become a better place to live and if you are one of them, I pray you get caught and hanged too and very soon |
Light78:Baba leave matter for Matthias and commend good things when you see one abi you be thief? If you are one, I pray you get caught, charged to court and hanged or lynch to death very soon by angry and hungry mob. Those thieving politicians will surely meet their Waterloo by God’s grace but stop making excuses for criminals. If armed robber hold you for just one sec and you life is at their mercy, you go get sense ![]() |
Jokerman:Wow Going by @bolded, you are seemingly saying the USA has overflowing humanity while the supposed ‘villains’ (Russians) don’t, right? Amazing ![]() I’m sure you don’t know that these supposedly humane people have waged more unjust and unjustifiable wars and have committed more war crimes than the Russians. The Russians didn’t and wouldn’t destabilize any country over flawed intel like the US did with Iraq during the days of Hussein. How do you justify killing millions of people only to apologize to the world some years later citing flawed intelligence and calling it a mistake? The Russians, who you are seemingly calling the devils have never used a nuclear weapon on anyone before and It’s very unlikely they would use it unlike the ‘humane’ people. Western movies have brainwashed most of you to the point that you fail to think for yourselves and judge things from an unbiased perspective. I’m with neither of them but it’s very unforgivable to say the US is a humane country, it’s quite the opposite my friend. |
fergie001:No problem with that as long as she worked hard to merit it. Not as if she got it on a platter |
Bacteria8:You made so much sense until you got to that bolded part . Sir, we all know Nigeria is not trying at all but please, if we are talking abject poverty, Nigeria is far better than India. About 250-350 million Indians are living in abject poverty but it’s not surprising for a population of that size (1.1-1.2 billion people) |
Another propaganda from Agbadonarians, there are no slums in the land of the audio billionaires because every home is worth a million dollars at least ![]() |
Vinnie2000:This must be coming from a toddler or you’re just being intentionally fuulish and mischievous like some people from a certain part of this country. Even the ‘foolishest’ of the foolish Nigerians know that Tinubu and Buhari had really sour relations during the later’s regime as the President of Nigeria. How then were you expecting him to have been able to influence Buhari? Their enmity led to the popular “my wife belongs to the kitchen and the oza room” remark made by Buhari. We all know the antagonistic roles Buhari played during the buildup to the presidential elections to frustrate Tinubu and how some deluded people suddenly forgave him and made him their messiah when he started frustrating the later through that bald-headed werey, Emefiele. It was shameful to see people praising an ill-conceived policy that led to the death of many just because it was favorable to them at the time. You all praised both the cbn and forgave Buhari ![]() Secondly, the role Tinubu played (seemingly not facing Buhari head-on) during Buhari’s era is the simple reason why we say that the Ibos are by far the least politically intelligent tribe in Nigeria (I’m not saying you’re ibo but ibos are just too predictable). In politics, you make some compromise just for the sake of greater political advantages. It’s very fuulish and mischievous to say he did nothing when obviously, the duo were at loggerheads all through Buhari’s 8 years tenure. |
Validated:You shouldn’t have said this because everyone knows the region that birth children primarily to be sold ![]() |
Gbogbowa:Nairaland When did Egypt support Ukraine with weapons and against who, please? Una go just come online and type rubbish like everyone is as slow as gullible Obi’s sheeples. What Reno was saying here is that Ukraine supporting Nigeria with grains wasn’t out of the ordinary as relatively stable countries and stable ones like Egypt and the USA respectively also get same or even more from Ukraine as opposed to Obi’s erroneous take. I bet Obi didn’t know that his ‘saner climes’ also get free grains from Ukraine. He wouldn’t have made that remark if he knew . Man’s just too dull upstairs and it’s not surprising to see the class of non-U people following him. |
The interior is nice but Honda could have done better like they did with the 2012 models. If you live in rough terrain, I will strongly suggest going for the crv but if you are a speed person, it may not be what you want because it’s a 4-cylinder machine but where are we running to?.
