Volvo are renowned for solid build quality and customers’ safety (they are very conscious about your survival in case of accidents) while many Toyotas are known for reliability and economy (corollas). So mr Op, cars are different and there are bad cars/models/makers.
I wouldn’t advise my enemy to buy most of these German cars (e.g Benz and BMW) Korean cars (Hyundai and Kia for e.g) American makes and this is just to mention a few. You might be surprised that I mentioned Benz and this is to prove to you that cars are varied and far from being the same. Benz, despite being known for luxury, ostentatious designs and smooth, rich driving experience, they are hardly reliable. Do I need to add that they are not for kids? (maintenance-wise)
