yMcy56: Yes........and FBN has accepted to sell her shares in Airtel Nigeria to Airtel Africa in the share buyback........ The offer price is N55.81.........and the deal was positive for FBNH.
https://stocks.nairametrics.com/2021/10/04/airtel-nigeria-offers-to-buy-back-minority-shares-worth-n61-24-billion/ Wow that something oh. But how did you arrive at 88billion. This is a quote from the link you provided "In what appears to be an open offer, the telecommunication giant revealed that if all minority shareholders agreed to sell their shares, the total buy back will be worth an estimated N61.24 billion (c$148.1 million, using an exchange rate of 413.38 NGN/USD)"The said 61billion goes beyond fbnh shares to also including shares of other minority shareholders |

yMcy56: E Ku Market oo. E Ku FBNH.......
First bank crossed 10!!!! Closed to full bid earlier....,...pulled back to 9.85.........moving up again gradually with more funds moping and chasing the Elephant....
UBN Higher bids than offers........
It must be that Airtel buy over will have significant positive impact on FBN, to have warranted this massive mop up.........FBN is pocketing around 88Billion or more........ Is FBN going to pay special dividend for this? We don't know yet..... 88billion? Does fbnh have shares in Airtel? |

IYGEAL: Good. In that regard, Access should still lead FBNH; that's my point. After the reggae... But anything can happen sha. Recall there has been a fierce battle for control of FBNH of recent. Who knows how far it could go |

yMcy56: Good! Access is sourcing for expansion funds aggressively. Very possible they're winning the 50% stake over.......
Lol @ buy us @25...... Csnt be up to that......but ACCESS is a good negotiator and buyer o.. Union no be moi moi. In the class of FBNH if history comes to play. Mind you this bidding involves other institutions like Zenith bank. Zenith seriously need expansion |

yMcy56: ACCESS Eurobond issuance oversubscribed.....
Could it be that ACCESS may likely be the winner of the Union Bank bid.........and as such, getting funds ready for the buy-over??
https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/34200_ACCESS_BANK_PLC%20ACCESS_BANK_SUCCESSFULLY_PRICES_LANDM.pdf My suspicion as well. Reason I don't want to sell my small union shares. Hope they buy us, and at good rate(at least N25 lol) |

yMcy56: Las las, First Bank will put Access on its toes ........
FBNH now @8.10...... I suspect power play in FBNH. Somebody is trying to increase his stake. I don't think the FBNH bull is sustainable, their result don't also support it. People go pay school fees here. |

Access raising another Eurobond to add to the one they issued earlier this month.
Please does anyone know what these banks raising Eurobonds are using it for ? So that one can understand potential future risks (or possible gains) to those in the Access boat. I am suspecting Union bank purchase. Recall the major investor in Union bank had expressed an interest to divest, and Access bank happened to be one of those thought to have made an interest in taking over Union bank. Zenith bank was also named. In any case, its normal and common for companies including banks to takeup and repay Eurobonds although they do often name their reason for such. Access did not name what they intend doing with theirs. |

emmasoft: Access bank don join the 30k gang. This is a step up for them and better for investors. Their Profit after tax greatly improved. We expect even more by full year. Full year EPS is projected to come towards N5. So an improvement in full year dividend should not be out of place. |

emmanuelewumi: Why are you buying? Is it for capital appreciation or income.
Income increased by just 60% in the last 10 years, which is not good enough
Meaning an investor who got a dividend of 100k in 2011 got just 160k in 2021 What in your opinion is the prospects for UPDCREIT, especially now that the fund management has been taken over by stanbic assets managers. Is there any chance of appreciation in price and dividend in the nearest future? |
