Its like these days once you release result flogging follows. See as Dangsugar dey receive beatings. No wonder Transcorp changed their mind. Hmmm, better for Access to leave their result with CBN for now oh. We cannot take this beating.

Oil did $110 today despite the US intervention by release of 60million barrels to increase supply. There are fears of even higher oil prices. Its clear that the major beneficiaries to the increase in prices of crude oil are the upstream players. On the NSE, the only clear player in this sector appears to be Seplat ( as for Transcorp, its still debated). I Deliberately do not want to mention Oando because the managers are so trick and might have even stripped the company of the upstream asset without our knowledge.
But Seplat's price is now clearly out of reach even as there appears to be virtually no supply.
Totalenergies Nigeria Plc as quoted on the NSE has no Upstream asset.
The arm of Conoil that owns and profits from its upstream oil asset is different from the one that is quoted on the NSE.

Much of what we are left with on the NSE are just "fuel stations that also sell Engine oil, brake fluid etc"
On a good day, we ought to benefit from this oil boom, if not by any means, but atleast through the general impact on the Economy that largely depends on the oil sector. But our "integrity government" says we should forget it- we no go see anything. They only promise us the worse as oil prices increase.
It is very clear that oil prices will rise to heights unexpected .
The question now is where do we look to profit from this oil boom that is just starting?

I want to sell my wapco to collect some units of UCAP. But I just dey fear wapco cos they can come with special dividends now. If not i sell wapco, buy ucap, get more dividends and even return to wapco to collect their own dividends

Sure!!
Just using the avenue to remind you about it.
No matter how Ardova is battered, by the time it gets to N10, it will stabilize, the stock don suffer already...

Ok.....make I go check the result first. smiley
They came out with serious loss against all expectations. I just hope their management dont have any relationship with the Oandos

Wapco paying N1 as dividend. Them try sha. They paid interim dividend of N1 in 2021, that brings total dividend for the year to N2. It s more than fair.
A company that made 51billion in profit after tax and is paying 32billion as dividend cares so much for investors.

Unlike Zenith bank that made over N244billion but is paying only about 96billion in dividend.

Although Zenith dividend yield is higher for now due to higher Profit After tax

GANDALF1:
Have you ever asked yourself why the government keeps borrowing despite rising oil prices?

Nigeria is a net importer of refined crude as of today and its not gonna change in 2022 at least.

Hence, Nigeria will continuously run a deficit balance as oil prices continue to rise because it must increase its subsidy of PMS and that will continue to erode whatever gains it makes by exporting crude.

Added to this, Nigeria's Crude production volume keeps dropping despite increased allocation (check OPEC). It will even profit Nigeria more at this point, for crude prices to drop, else riots will break out soon when government is unable to subsidize any further.
Dont mind all that the current government is saying about increase in oil price and fuel subsidy.
Recall that the benchmark for crude under the budget is $70. What happens to the Excess crude account? What about the billion spent on revitalising our refineries? And who do they want to convince that Nigeria consumes over 93million litres of fuel daily?
The Government has put so much into Dangote refinery, its time we begin to ask why the refinery is yet to start refining.
They are not telling us all the truth

Which oil and gas field is Transcorp producing from? Hope you are not confusing with HEIRS?
There are several publications on transcorp oil and gas. Look through their annual reports and see some. Also google and find many. This is another I got from google. Note that this is different from earlier once.

Transcorp price is going up not because of dividend expectation.Dont be deceived because they can't pay you more than 5kobo dividend.

Some decent volume at above 1.25 is expected this morning.Lets see where the price will reach today, tomorrow and Monday before the board meeting which comes up on the 1st March, which is Tuesday next week.
They dont know that transcorp is now an oil and gas company, apart from being a huge player in the power and other sectors of the economy.
Much of transcorp's improved earnings last year came in the 2nd and 3rd qrt, meaning we may see more improvements especially in the current year.

So today, as oil price moves to 97$/barrel. I just wonder why increase in the price of crude oil has never had any meaningful impact through out this man's regime. Has nigeria stopped exporting crude?

Who told you that Emma bought Total Energy.

I just rebalanced my portfolio and nothing more.

I only sold 50% of my Dangote cement shares at N270 and bought Total Energy at a price range of N213 to N220 about 2 weeks ago during Dangote cement buy back
He said he did not buy. Only rebalanced his portfolio. When you are large...

UPDCREIT result is bad but their dividend yield is quite considerable. Last year they paid total of 56kobo. And it appears they pay twice yearly.
Sometime these things are confusing.

Market is notinterested in reacting to excellent results released by some companies over the weekend. Hmmm.
Is the market waiting for all results before reacting or should one be concerned.
I thought totalenergies would be on full bid that one may not even get units, but units come berekete sote I don dey fear to enter.

Fidelity bank result really good. Eps of N1.32 as against 92kobo of last year. We pray they improve on their dividend. 30-40kobo or more will not be bad.

In all of these TOTAL good performance and price appreciation, who knows what 11 PLC price would be at this time. They just rushed and delisted at a paltry 213.9 at a time when they were even in better stability than Total.
They saw it coming. They now have all the profit to themselves. Price appreciation doesnt matter to them right now. If and whenever they decide to list, it would be on a massive scale.
