Hello,
Does anyone know about any health insurance company that's a bit comprehensive (NOT travel insurance) and pocket-friendly?

I'm looking at International Healthcare Company, especially the Flexmed Global Impat Tariff option (starts @ €189/month

and

Continentale Krankenversicherung a.G. (€190/month).

Has anyone used any of these before?
Depends on where you are domiciled, age, coverage type, family size.

Are you in Germany?

Hello i am also in a similar position
i have my documents ready, infact i intend to submit my applications as early as January.
however, i have some questions.
first one is please who can give better insight into scholarships and how to apply for them
secondly the whole visa and embassy thing seem like a very daunting task, please can you explain how to scale that hurdle.
reading through this thread, i saw that people apply for visa appointments even without admission
please can you help me clarify these uncertainties.
There's hardly sufficient scholarships in Germany as most of them are for EU and Exchange Students (ERASMUS) but there are a few DAAD scholarships of 500 Eur mostly or a one-off 2000 Eur.

As for the visa-related issues, visit the Germany Embassy in Nigeria website.

Good morning house,
Want this info for my son, I want info on how he can apply for masters degree in germany, what's the starting point, can he apply for September 2023 now. Which universities have low tuition. Which germany university accept HND. How quick can he get an appointment date.

Thanks.
He can begin with daad.de/en search for a course, University and admission requirements

Most public universities in Germany are free and a few others require 1,500-2,500 Eur per semester.

NO university in Germany accepts HND for Master degree under normal circumstances except in a case of other multiple qualifications and/or experiences in rarity.

He can begin plans right now.

No sir.
Faith without work is dead, I hope you can agree.

You don't have an admission yet, you are complaining about appointment date.

11 months since you applied for appointment, nearly a year after, still no admission.

What if you are called this week? The slot will be wasted.

Try work with your faith.

Good morning.

Please, I need your help. I initiated Form A with first Bank to pay my tuition & semester fees at the University of Freiburg and took almost 10 weeks to be debited, but arrives the university just yesterday. Sadly, I was notified that there is a short of 20 euro due to international charges and I have been advised to pay up in order to complete matriculation process. I need someone who can help pay in Germany and get a Naira equivalent of this amount.

God bless!

Hello everyone.
Pls I need your help with this

I applied for a student visa last year December and I m yet to be called for an interview. So I take it that I may be called late December or next year. The issue there is I'm yet to get an admission from schools in germany.

I am looking to apply for a Bsc and I have an OND. Please who can recommend schools in Germany who doesn't make use of uniassist.

I have really done a rigorous search but few I have seen rejected me and some have passed the deadline.

I would be more than grateful if you could help me with this
Did you have any admission letter before you applied last year?

If you call yourself a Christian and loan plugs to present a fake proof of fund at the embassy is what you do, you better repent. People (students & are workers) from Africa to are in these European and western nations suffering from the lies they built on to leave here by any means necessary. If you refuse to calm down and gather finances but chose one more lie for the good life, may God have mercy on you. Some of you have convinced yourself it is normal package but the embassy doesn't specify it is normal because they want you to be able to fend for yourself over there, instead you go there confused and becoming a burden. I tell you again repent! You have been warned.

There is a way that seems right to a man but the end thereof is destruction. Again I say repent. Nigeria will not kill you. If you cannot do something to raise money for schooling, it is you who is lazy not God.
Calm down...
There's no need to use God in vain here. It is better to advise, as you started with.
I'm yet to see an African student who is a burden to the Germany government because, students are not entitled to social assistances unless in extraordinary circumstances as in the pandemic (which was not general), and the recent energy cost aid.
Most students in Germany are hardworking and compelled to be responsible by the system. You pay your health insurance, mostly automated rent payments and other bills.

Study loan in all its looks is not bad as it is mostly designed for full-time studies. Many Europeans and Americans take study loans they even pay for up to 40 years after graduation. One size doesn't fit all. How many jobs pay up to a 100k NGN gross (equivalent to 150-170 Eur) per month? If this person needs 11,000 Eur to block an account, the person needs to save his entire pay monthly for about 6 years (if his pay remained 100K NGN/month and he doesn't spend 1 NGN for whatsoever). In a normal scenario, that person can only save maximum of 40% considering the current inflation situation, this nearly will double his work savings for say a Blocked Account to about 9 years of saving.

One size doesn't fit all.

As regards the dangers of loans and stress, a good and realistic arrangement will go a long way.
I am strongly against falsification of any proof, particularly proof of funds. The student community in Germany has been the fairest Community of Nigerians I have seen so far.
In many ways, I have personally assisted those who needed help here for the first weeks of arrival. Someone accommodated me for 2 weeks, paid for my flight even though I of course paid back. Similarly, I have offered my apartment for temporary stay upon arrival (though the offer hasn't been used yet), paid for flight, basic needs and valuable information.

African students in Europe, particularly in Germany are largely impressive and independent on the foreign government.

I was an enrolled student 2020/2021 University of Trier. Attended lectures online for a year and learnt German A1. I could not get appointment date as I was on CAT B and unfortunately had to “drop out” after a year.

For those interested in deferring. It is good to note that when you defer, you are meant to “keep paying semester fees”. Without that you’d seize to be a student. At least, that was what I was told by my Uni.

Not to discourage you but if you are a CAT B, you should have other options. You can enter Belgium and move from there.

The blocked money can be used run Uk Uni processing to an extent sef. That’s what I did after Germany situation.

I wish you all the best.

I don't even know, how do I check that?
Applying from Nigeria? If yes, yet you don't know about the visa situation, that if you are not Cat A, and you need a loan already in 7 days which you might be paying back when still in Nigeria?

The loan you need should be the last thing on your to-do list on this issue. You need to know the category of visa interview appointments.
If Cat B, you may stay on the queue for about 1 year, given current situation. At that time, you may have lost your studentship unless it is online yet you will be indebted.
Allow the current admission go, try cheaper or free universities which are abundant for most courses.

If you're Cat B and applying in Nigeria, you don't need even 1 EUR loan.

Is it an advice or a directive? I mean can you choose not to exmatriculate or they say you have to?

By deferring your studies, does the school mean that you can continue where you left off?

If the first answer is yes and the second answer is no, then you should not exmatriculate.
It doesn't seem to be an advise and even if its an advise, I think it is the best considering the circumstances.

1st semester was online, it was easier for him to enrol, attend lectures and write exams.

2nd semester is in-presence, without option of online or hybrid courses, therefore, he cannot attend lectures, and write any exam if not in Germany. Why should he still be enrolled, paying fees without service? I think that's a honest offer by the school to give him an automatic admission and probably willing to continue helping him until either he arrives Germany for the physical classes or if the course switches back to online.

Whichever way, if you don't attend ANY lecture, or register ANY course/exam, it is automatic ex-matriculation without an option for automatic new admission EXCEPT if there was a deferment.

You came here to ask earlier about the choices of the blocked account, we mostly advised you use the popular Fintiba based on users experiences.

I personally asked, Windows or Linux as an analogy, you don go Linux now, you nor fit load your drivers...

If you haven't sent any money, go Fintiba where most of us have experienced in.

An Australian IBAN is not a German IBAN or account. It is most likely to present a problem later because it shows that your money is/will not be domiciled in Germany, therefore, doesn't meet the financial conditions.

The reason I gave that opinion on a new system of issuing interview dates.

If they do that for 6 months, the wait time can reduce with up to 40%

My suggestion is to submit an application with your most recent transcript because they will question you about it (TUM in particular). I know someone who is already enrolled in a programme here in Germany, but she wanted to go to TUM; she hid the truth about her current enrollment and submitted a fresh masters application. She had to eventually admit that she wants to transfer schools after they questioned her about what she is doing right now in the absence of a current school transcript or work reference. It is best to mention unequivocally that I am currently enrolled in school and that I want to transfer.
This is arguably a free country. Why lie or concede the truth? A country where even flimsy excuses are considered genuine.
I abandoned my study in Uni Köln to study something else in Uni Koblenz-Landau, I told the programme coordinator and international office even before applying. They will only ask that you should be exmatriculated at the former school as you shouldn't be enrolled in more than one university in Germany.
For highly competitive universities like TUM, you can attach a motivation letter on why you are leaving your current study and what you expect from your new university and course even WITHOUT BEING ASKED!

The same goes for when you are applying from a different country to Germany IF you are asked. I know persons who left Poland, US to study in Germany. Cost of tuition and quality of course (especially courses with practical and internships requirements) are good reasons.

Someone should answer this please
Some of us like this back and forth Q/A. A forum like this is not a messenger app and instant communication is nearly impossible.

Why don't just go ahead and ask the question or make the comment you want?

If Mr A used it and came to answer 'yes' after 2 days of posting this question, it takes you at least 1 hr to see it, then you post your main/most important question, then A comes back here again after 2 days to respond.
You see that a query that would take about 2 days to answer will now have to take 4 days.

@gondukwu be very mindful of this post.

There is no official way to check for visa status update after interview globally.
Your German visa is usually issued by decision of the German authorities in Germany.

All you need to do is wait and hope. Only contact the embassy when it exceeds about 90 days, I'm not sure.

At this stage, there is nothing anyone nor you can do.

1.Can I present a colored copy of my sponsorship letter at the embassy and explain to the VO that I will send it in as soon as I get it next week ?
2.will I be allowed to do my interview?
3.what is the fastest means of sending a document from Germany to Nigeria?
4.Pls does anyone know who is leaving Germany to Nigeria today that can be of help?
Bremen to be precise

Thanks in anticipation for your answers
1. Yes
2. Normally, yes
3.Courier (DHL) but takes up to 2 days for express.
4. No I don't but the person can go to closest intl airport, look for Lagos bound flights and approach someone to help. But the document must not be in an envelope nor laminated. S/he could be lucky. Alternatively, look for any courier (DHL, UPS, FedEx) within or near the airport facility for express mailing.

Otherwise, you can go with a copy and as soon as you receive it, send it to the embassy or tell the person to send it DIRECTLY to the embassy.

I don't want to look at it like that.
If you warn me of imminent long delay of a process, I wouldn't want to be lurking around for so long.

The embassy should device a better means of priorities. So many persons are on that backlog list who are no longer interested, lost admissions, in a different country (even already in Germany through a different visa, country).
Perhaps bimonthly OR semesterly email should be sent out to the candidates asking them to confirm their interest to attend interview when next possible with a PROOF of CURRENT UNIVERSITY APPLICATION, CURRENT ADMISSION LETTER, CURRENT ENROLMENT CERTIFICATE.

Germany doesn't easily provide options for relocation, rather stick to study abroad.
No one can assist you with a 'good course' advise. You know your bachelor's degree, you know your strengths and weaknesses as well as career prospects.

You don't have to be mean, and you don't have to say anything if you can't help. I omitted the name of the university to which I applied by mistake. I'm specifically referring to TUM, and I'm curious what the application process was like for others that went through the same thing. What was the timeline really like from the first approval of formal requirements? Do they explain why you received particular points? Is there a pattern for both direct entry and interviewees? Is there anything you wish you had included in your CV? It differs from what the university tells us because they do not provide all of the details.
Sorry about that. It's unfortunate you excluded the most important part of your query.

Hello to all, my case is different in fact, I just need help for the admission process because I am already in Germany. There isn't a lot of detail on the application process here; most posts just talk about when they applied and when they got admissions, then focus on the visa process. I'm trying to see how good my points are because I heard they grade with points. Do any of those who have been admitted have enough information to tell us how their points were scored and whether they took an extra interview? According to what I saw, the interview selection is also based on points.
Thank you in advance
