emmaliveth10: Good day all, please i have some questions:
I want to apply for admission in Germany 1. I have HND,can i use that to apply to study MSC or i should apply for Bachelors? 2. And also can someone residing and working in Germany serve as a sponsor? 3. I've been reading about delay in appointment dates,if i apply now and gets admission, will i be able to get date before winter session resumes? 4. If the appointment date will be a delay, should i rather look at applying to study in Poland? 1. BSC 2. Yes but should have sufficient proof of livelihood and not receiving social benefits from the govt. His/her financial ability to sponsor you will be calculated by the State considering; his expenses, number of children (if any), employment renumeration, savings and if your estimated 861 EUR living expenses is to be removed (by implication of sponsorship) from his account monthly, will s/he be able to still live well? 3. No guarantee 4. Consider Poland, don't put your eggs in one basket. For Poland, also consider applying for large and economic cities in the face of the Ukraine crises and stay away from border cities near Ukraine. There is also a chance of leaving Poland for Germany easily for study but not guaranteed. |

1. Anyone preferably a male who will be in dire need of a place to stay for say a week around Köln, Essen, Dusseldorf upon arrival at Germany can write me. I can afford to share my small space. 2. If you are applying to several schools and you are required to send hard copies of your credentials to these different schools, I can provide my address for you to send all the copies, thereafter I can help distribute the documents to the specific universities for free.
Good luck. |

Over one month of an accident like that yet no expedite action is being taken. 2 million barrels times the current price of crude at over 70 USD, over USD worth of crude oil is being wasted and the associated cost of cleanup had not been considered. Nigeria is not serious in everything. |

Ekessy: Hello guys
I seriously need assistance! If you have done blocking through a Nigerian bank or you know someone who did and the person will be willing to guide, kindly respond.
From this platform, I learnt that Sterling and Access were the best plug. But since May, 2021 I have moved from Sterling to Access and Keystone bank trying to block without success. The first two told me after I contacted them a little after a month of submission of Form A and relevant documents that the transaction was declined because it is a blocked account. Access bank went further to request that I provide a document from my school. The school obliged and sent a document acknowledging the fintiba account I opened. They added that it's a prerequisite for Visa application but this changed nothing. Keystone on the other hand gave me false hope when they debited me on Wednesday only to call yesterday morning to say that they cannot pay into the account since my name is the beneficiary's name. They also said that I wrote 'study fee' on the Form A while the money was for upkeep. And they would prefer I provide an account whose beneficiary's name will reflect the name of the school. A friend who works at the bank made further inquiries and got back to me to cancel study fee and write upkeep. Now I discussed this with the manager of the branch but she insisted that she's not processing upkeep with form A before I cause her to lose her job.
At this point, I am confused and I don't know what to think or do. Am I making a mistake in the filling of the form? Can I actually have an account with Fintiba that can combine the name of the school I am going to and my name as the beneficiary's name? Is there a change in bank policy against funding of German blocking with form A?
Please anyone with useful information should help me. I trust you will be helping some others sooner than later.
Apologies for the lengthy write-up. God bless! You cannot open a different account for that, it's like opening an account for your school. Transfer the money out to a Sterling account and fill the Form A. It takes about a week. |

ISPE: I will turn 30 soon. Currently, I study and have TK in Germany. Do you advise that I change to private insurance from 30? The charge from TK for when I turn 30 is in the upwards of €175, while that of Mawista (private) is ~€34. Also, are there are potential problems with having a private insurance on the long run? If you want to continue working, I will advise you continue with TK and I don't think you will be able to move to private again with the new Jan 1, 2021 policy. By the way, why are you paying up to 175? TK is 110 for the first month and about 104 subsequently and if you're working, it rises to about 153. Perhaps you should call them to ask. |

Adisa471: Oh really? Thanks. But what did your friend submit apart from form A? Fintiba invoice, admission letter, university certificate, what else? They will give you a list of all what you need to bring which you have listed here and/or must have gotten already anyway. Nothing extraordinary. |

Adisa471: Or has anyone done this before? Please I just need to ask a few questions, that's all. Yes. Sterling Bank. A friend did last week. Walk into any Sterling Bank, request for Form A, walk away. Don't bother explaining details, just say for school fees, then walk away. Fill it and submit same day or later. In a week, you'll be fine. |

BKayy: They can't say anything about it They are even lucky that they are receiving anything. After all, are they the owners of that land they are occupying? There is a reason History was abolished. The British doesn't want us to know what happened to the black lap dogs that came with them and displaced Itsekiri, Urhobo, Obollo, Yoruba and some Igbo from the shores. It is no hard deal to confirm. Have you ever asked yourself why they bear "Walter Heineken" as first and last name? The British abolished History in Nigeria? The British burnt all the history books related to Nigeria? Why can't we face the evil before us, hold those responsible instead of blaming the British and western world all the time? |

Netherland is expensive that's why I'm thinking of transferring schools (to a tuition free school in Germany) atleast I can fund my block account but the thing is I don't know if I would be able to get my money back after transferring to the school that's where the issue is and I still haven't the answer I want You can always get your money back. Maybe in two weeks, they will credit the account the transfer came from. |

I need clarification on what the "biometric specifications" are 250x350 mm I suppose. Read the SPECIFICATIONS and talk to a good photographer in a studio. Use a white background, without glasses... Anyway the photographer should know what is good. |

OdogwuEkeke: You can check on Nairaland for the Austria thread. I don't understand why the curiosity of many young people doesn't drive them to SEARCH, RESEARCH. You cannot always want someone to share everything with you, do some independent search. You never can tell what you will find in the wild WWW. Visit the public University sites, visit the student visa requirements for any country that interests you for study. Hungary and Belgium are fair alternatives too. Don't ask me about it though... |

richgut: I think Nigerians who are already in Germany should be more active here, and guide the incoming ones. Some of us are here and the issues on ground are things we can't easily comment on. For those who are interested in leaving Nigeria to apply elsewhere and has the money, here is an advice... Look at those Countries listed in the file shared by OdogwuEkeke on the number of visas issued by countries, prey on the countries with the minimum number of visas and try to move there before applying. Remember that you MUST be resident in the country you seek to apply from. |

I have been following the arguments and comments here lately. I will say these from a neutral perspective and nobody should ask me whose 'side' am I: 1. Another country will give opportunity and welcome people they desire-it's not your right to come to another country and you can't force it! 2. If Germany says they will no longer issue student visas to Nigerian citizens, what will you do? Force them? Appeal? 3. They spend millions of Euros to maintain the free public Universities and research centres, Germany happen to be the most friendly place for intl students and they can regulate the student slots based on education needs assessment, character, international relationship and reputation. 4. This is an educational thread but it's unfortunate that many posts have not depicted the honesty, at least for studying. 5. You think all embassies in Nigeria don't know the meaning of Zoo, Japa, Shit-hole, Escape etc? 6. If you, I mean you yourself, is a consular officer for Germany, a honest staff, read most comments on intent here, you will hardly recommend visas to be issued. 7. Finally, hide your hidden intents and try to focus on the basis of your application. |

BigDawsNet: Probably each parent contributed 30m
Is that not good enough to send ur kids abroad to study instead of letting the kidnappers cashing out Why can't you just sympathise with them and move on? If you have 30 million NGN in assets or money, will you use it to send your child abroad? Even if it's just one child, it's not easy. But in crisis like this, you can rally round, take loans, sell properties. We must hold the government responsible. Crimes and not only against the few rich people. When Fulanis were ravaging the farms of the poor people, what would you advise them to do? Leave farming and start Oil and Gas Business? There is room for evil that can go round for everyone irrespective of your class... if it is not holistically addressed ASAP! |
