Zeeknow3245: Yep, they do. I know their quota is 50 but they admitted 61. Competition is stiff there but it is good No full accreditation for MBBS yet. you have to weigh the pros and cons before choosing that school. |

Pocohontasboo: ah na wa o, e be tins o. you mean that me that is considering a switch to UNIBEN is actually migrating from frypan to fire? OK UNICAL dey there sha. If you're from Edo state or any of the catchment states, your chances are higher. Even if you're not, you can still enter. Many gained admission on Merit.. If I were to go with I've seen and know, your chances are higher in UNICAL than UNIBEN..But the Choice is purely your responsibility. |

Pocohontasboo: Na only UI person wey get 310 and 80% in post utme no go get admission or dem go pity am give am fisheries lol inside life. Get this score in any other university in Nigeria and its a smooth sail apart from that one that calls herself unilorin. In Timaya's voice "this life, I can't kill myself". Based on number of aspirants and intakes, MBBS is much more competitive in UNIBEN than UI. But the truth is, in any of the top federal schools, MBBS is not always an easy ride...I had a roomie who had 327 in 2018 but still missed out...It's just adequate and smart preparation and Ultimately God that grants admission. This is because some candidates are favoured with questions than others. |

DharmieDhrey: My O'level isn't that strong, picking LASU means shooting my foot..The competition in UI is very intense...Btw, I'm from Edo state.. Stick to UI..Don't choose LASU. Your state of Origin has little or no bearing in UI's admission..Study smart. Solve ALL LAMLARD past questions..Trust me, if you do your home work well, you'll be admitted.. And another thing, during the exam...Don't EVER start with English, especially the comprehension, I mean it. That was my greatest mistake ever that day..I wasted too much trying to finish English...I had not started physics at all when the invigilator signalled that we had only 10 minutes, I managed to solve some questions in physics and it wasn't enough.. Studying hard for an exam doesn't really translate to a success..one or two mistakes in the exam Hall may spell doom..if you're not courteous with your time, you may loose confidence and brain percussion may set in.... My greatest bane was "Comprehension passage". I missed out by 1.65 marks. UI uses that trick to distract and kill your time..Be wise! |

DharmieDhrey: Wow..Great, thanks..I have heard that too, observed it as well(UI lifts questions from Lamlad)..Btw,I heard the quota for MBBS in UI is about 150+ It's even 180 but UI is always conservative..UI takes less than 150 most times. |

DharmieDhrey: I opted for UI,I have been skeptical lately. I have seen lots of 310+,320+s flying around.. You don't have to feel oppressed because of those scores you're seeing..UI will still take take up to 130 candidates into MBBS..I would have easily made UI's admission in 2017 if I had gotten the right information..With 300 you can easily make MBBS list in UI if you know the secrets.. UI's secret is LAMLARD biology, chemistry and physics. You can read A1 English. @pes13 who entered in 2017 said about 60-70 questions that came out were lifted directly from LAMLARD past questions..The exam literally was almost like solving past questions for him. Solve all the past questions in LAMLARD and you're 80% in. I applied the same trick the following year and I was admitted into MBBS in UNIBEN without stress. |

But if you have your average of 50 in the big 3,you're good to go. Ok.... |

The odd doesn't seem the same...only 50 will write their First MB... Perhaps, that's why AAU does pre-MB to reduce the population before the main MB exam... I might be wrong though. |

alphaNomega: This man sef. Are you aware of the number of doctors and lawyers that have given up to venture into other businesses? Everybody will not practice their professions. With time, people make changes in their lives and that doesn't mean they don't know what they are doing...That doesn't mean they are unemployed because they are working in the line of professions...I know doctors whom after graduating for about 5 years have not written primary exams to start their residency to become consultants because they don't want to pass through the stress.. They're just medical officers and they like it that. This abounds in every profession..I repeat No Med.doc is unemployed unless he chooses not to practice... It's a fact...The demand for doctors has always been high...Many medical students that just graduated from UNIBEN this year have secured some locum jobs and they've not even started their house-job...Oga there are no unemployed doctors, some are just undemployed in some private hospitals... |

kinglato: Bro foam dey your head? Which school you finish from? Because you have been brainwashed here in Nigeria, Go abroad where you can't get out of any malpractice and see how you fellow are trending carefully. You are here ranting rust. Outside Nigeria, you have Pharmacist that can prescribe apart from their primary assignment. they hold prescribing licence. And recently, the NHIS has given nurse with extra education right to do some minor surgery. F**ls like you rant because they have little or no job to do. Place where things are going good, you will gladly mind your business. If you are frustrated, go back to school and study pharmacy, I pray you can even graduate self. You haven't seen anything yet, the next 10yrs will tell you how irrelevant you have become and how they have brainwash you thanks I remain a Pharmacist not a medical doctor. I build, they rent. Oga, Pharmacists in US are only allowed to prescribe OTC drugs..Do you know why ? Med. docs are scarce in some of those regions and the Pharmacists even do that in that closet not in hospitals...Because you couldn't get MBBS, you took PharmD as solace and you think you'd be able to play a Doctor with that ,it can never happen...You were trained to dispense and not to treat shits..You guys are potential killers...The only course in pharmacy that is relevant to practice of Medicine is Pharmacology and MBBS students will beat you People hands down in pharma as they studied the clinical applications also..At the end, is the drugs not going to the body? Without the knowledge of MORBID pathology, pharmD is only an upgrade to chemists because they know the use of drugs also...I've not mentioned Internal Medicine, surgery, paed , obs and gyna or Are you grounded in those aspects? Stick to your drug production and dispensing as that's your job's description.. It's not late to get a MBBS degree though. |

Period007: Many Doctors prescribe and dispense drugs directly to their patients in their private clinics Or is it when a medical doctor works as specialists o and g in government hospital, meanwhile in his private clinic becomes a general practitioner, dentist, optometrist, surgeon, pharmacIst As a MBBS holder, you're trained to recognize your limitations and capacity....If you're a Gynaecologist, it does not mean you can't treat Malaria, typhoid fever e.t.c. A specialist was a general practitioner before he became a specialist.. It's when the case is beyond him that he refers to a specialist in that area..They are trained to recognize that. |

Please I want to know Draei xandre Mregghead Afoobabs Yes it was introduced last year.. From an information I got from my roomie, he said just 5 questions came out in mathematics and they were general mathematics and quite easy..English had 20, biology had 15, chemistry 5 physics 5 and maths, 5 questions..50 questions in all. but the number of questions for each candidate was not constant. English includes synonyms, antonyms, lexis and structure. There were no orals but like I said earlier, it varied for each candidate. |
