Mine is not really the weird story but his aura remains a mystery till date .
Back then in University, SOJ was a kind guy, very brilliant and was quite funny.
He had a way of making the most bittered person around him crack a smile, how he does that we don't know. Also, he was someone who would share his last card with you in time of need and tell you not to worry about him.
There was an incident in our dreaded managerial Economics test ,the lecturer, a widely acclaimed sadist caught him opening his leaflet for a guy seated next to him. The man tore their slips and summoned them to his office. We were scared for him but he was calm. Few of us (class rep & asst , the best student, and i (we were hallmates) had to follow them to the lecturer's office to plead. When we got there ,the man told us to stay aside while he questioned the two of them .At a point, it seemed like Heaven was about to break loose but how SOJ brought that situation under control is still beyond today. The lecturer who never smile in class started laughing out loud and told them he had forgiven them after 20 mins, we were all excited for we knew the kind of person the lecturer was.
SOJ was the kinda person that knows how to cheer people up in time of difficulties, hurt and disappointments. You can't but have a good laugh whenever you're around him, to the extent that the Super religious-don't mix with sinners amongst us loved to sit around whenever he's cracking a joke . He was loved by all, even the hard -to -crack lecturers /non teaching staffs on campus .Sadly, his life was cut short at 21, during his final year. When the news broke about his death, everybody cried, even our Scarfaced HOD. That's to tell you the sort of influence he had on everyone.

There was a guy I made my travel-mate from Ibadan to Enugu Law school who I eventually got to know he was psychotic: he loved to wear faded pink jeans. He believed everyone was hypocritic; he believed everyone was addicted to masturbation except him; he enjoyed backbiting so much that he attended a birthday ceremony thrown by a rich guy - he ate and drank well there but left there to talk about how the celebrant was rich, yet had no girlfriend because according to him, the celebrant was gynophobic. To him, joy is temporal, hence he was always sad. He had nothing to talk about on Whatsapp group page aside sex and masturbation. He was addicted to weed-smoking. He would claim he hated watching movies, but later talked about one Odunlade Adekola's movie.
According to him, nudity should be celebrated, but he would never take his own nude picture. He always prayed for war to break out in Nigeria.
He always cursed renowned men of God.
He is in his late 30's with no achievement in life.

Work on being a true Christian Lady

Being a prayer warrior who prays only for material wealth and to fight enemies you have created through your hatred not spiritual growth doesn't make you a Christian
Being in every fellowship only for the sole reason of finding potential husbands doesn't make you a Christian
Being a choir mistress who looks down on the poor people in your group doesn't make you a Christian
Being self righteous and insulting those who God sent you to convert doesn't make you Christian. (Yes even sinners deserve pity not contempt).
Wearing long skirts and a scarf in church and fantasizing consistently about things of the flesh doesn't make you Christian.
Being obedient to your pastor but disrespectful to elders/parents including anyone who God has placed above or below you isn't being a Christian.

My point is: Being good/Christian is a thing of the heart.

When I was very little, a teacher once said to us, ''Children you have to be good, because if you are bad and you go to heaven, Jesus would have to run away from heaven. He can't live with people who are bad because you would cause trouble for Him".

Now as an Adult, it makes more sense to me, God wont let you to enter heaven if you would cause trouble for the citizens there. It wont be fair for the good people in heaven to be treated badly by the bad people who bring their bad behavior to the Kingdom. God is Love and if you can't Love your neighbor you can't Love everyone in heaven and God has already promised everyone in heaven Love.
Example: Lets say God lets you into heaven, then you see a man who used to be in ragged clothes on earth saying hi to you and you ignore him because you feel you were better than him on earth would you be fit to be in that Kingdom?
You can see now that it is all about our hearts/character.

If this is so, look at the points I raised, In Nigeria a lot of people treat God like a local diety, they only go to him to receive power to achieve their selfish interests and forget they can't live outside the Love he has given.

If it is God's will that you should get married, think about the person you are, if this God you claim to love so much gives you a husband, would your character be good for him? Would it be fair for God to give you to a just man? Would that be answering the husband's request for a good wife? God would not seem fair if he gives good things to people who would abuse them. Marriage is the sacrament of Love. If you can't show love to your neighbor where would you find it to give to your husband?

Ladies if you can grasp this simple principle I assure you, your husband would locate you in the fastest time possible. God isn't asleep (Remember Genesis 24:12), he just wants to be sure those who truly love Him get the best deal. If you have been trying to do what is right and you don't see the man forthcoming it doesn't mean God has abandoned you, he is trying to find the one who matches your qualification and that is why you must pray for those who have fallen, if God can't find a good man for you he would probably expect you to work on making them Good enough or he would bless your singlehood. But this is when you are free from blame, perfect your ways with the help of the Holy Spirit and what you desire would come freely.

I was betrayed at work by my superior and it cost me my job, there's a document called P.T.W. " Permit to work document ". It's a written legal document that grant permission and authorization to commence a task. Usually high risk task, my immediate boss and i are both signatories to that document, i.e. I have to sign and my immediate boss as well. I did my part. Inspect work areas, got authorized by the PM and only needed my direct boss to sign to commence operation. I called him on radio as I was on the site. I.e an high rise tower of 34 floors and we were on the 34th level, My boss gave me a verbal permission to tell the guys to commence work even without him signing the permit. I was adamant and reluctant saying it's was against ethical practice, but he insisted that there isn't any problem. So I gave the go ahead only to be called that the companies "HSE Manger" is on site and on her way to supervise our activity, I was worried but not bothered as I was only following instructions from senior supervisor beside he is to take the blame. How wrong was I, to my uttermost surprise my boss denied me and claim he wasn't even aware of the designated task. I was shocked, I couldn't even say a word other workers came to my aid and said he was lying but all fell on deaf ears. This is a man I trusted so much as I have never in my life thought that this man can do such, my appointment was terminated for incompetency. It's painful but I have forgiven him. My only mistake was TRUST.

My life has been one of betrayal betrayal betrayal.

From family with my siblings, in school, offices and now in marriage. I am a very reserved person, I don't talk or behave anyhow, I am disciplined.

I keep wondering how this betrayals come about. I keep asking myself if I am operating under a curse or what.

One thing keeps me going, my inner strength.

One day they will all be a thing of the past.

In my place of work, everyone suddenly started starring at me somehow, I just keep asking myself what did I not do right until one day I came to understand that a girl went about telling people around that I had se,x with our boss in the office and a lot of people came and gathered watching us through the door.

The news spread like wild fire even across our branches. I decided to follow up the matter to the end to know it's source. Cos I was still a virgin then. I reported the matter to the higher authority during investigation this girl said her reason of saying that is because I am too beautiful, intelligent and loved by all. That she is so unhappy about this.

Meanwhile, a lot of people where abusing me for soiling my name with my level of exposure. The worse is that she said if she did not see it let God punish her, truck crush her to death, that the university she is attending may she not graduate. She faced the sun and made this swearing.
This girl pleaded that I should forgive her and all the senior officers should help her beg me.


What really caused me depression in the whole saga is a "FRIEND" my best friend then, who new me for over 10years. She knows so much of my secrets even those asking for my hand in marriage, to tell me in the midst of people that I should search my conscience that the girl cannot bring such curses to herself if she is lying she distant herself from me. But when the truth was finally revealed she started coming g closer again. I have forgiven her but can never take her to myself again.

She was a fake friend. Since then I don't even have any friend again.

the extent wicked evil people go just to achieve their evil bidding. Just look at the courses she lay on herself just to soil someone reputation. So sad for her.

I and my family witnessed the worst kind of betrayal ever,
My Dad, a very strong and compassionate man cried bitterly in his hospital bed because he was heartlessly betrayed to death by those he call his own.

It happened to me. Like my blood line today is married to a guy that chyked me for years.
This my blood line knows that this guy tried to date me. As in he kept coming to our house look for me for months. My mum and all my siblings knew him very well. It got to a point he threatened to harm me if he sees me with any other guy but luckily, we relocated to another place. Only for my blood sister to bring this same guy as a suitor. dang!
I just keep wondering, so she had been attracted to him all this while? Someone I dislike to the core? Hm! Fear human beings.

Till today, if I go visiting this guy will be telling me him and I have an unfinished business and some annoying silly talks. So most times when I visit, I'll hide away until I go back. Mehn... It sucks!

It's not about Nigerians alone, they hardly get married here in Canada, it's all about boyfriend or girlfriend. You will see a lady of 40 telling you she's never married in her life but she's having kids with different men. So it's like a way of life. Yeah I have a cousin in her 40s.
She used to be miserable living single in the northern province. Could break down from depression every winter.
Then one year, she married a local white boy and had kids after trying many years.
We are so happy for her.
But now she's depressed again... something to do with the children stressing her and the husband's issues..
