PoliticsRe: Sharia Will Be Allowed In Oduduwa Republic Says Igboho's Aide by MrMaestro: 6:24pm On Apr 18, 2021
myobjective:
Don't mind him! That is their mode of Operandi.

Yoruba are the most liberal group in Nigeria. I remembered how I was allowed to stay in a Redeemed family house despite being a Muslim. The only thing my fellow Yoruba Christian needed was the fact that I'm Yoruba. Even though I categorically told them that I wouldn't take part in their worship and praises.
This event opened my eyes to Yoruba togetherness. Without that accommodation that year in PH I wouldn't be stranded when I went there for my NYSC.

I will always take my Yoruba brother first before any group. My ethnicity is a better bond than any monotheist religion I may have been born into.
That's a fantastic story. Its a testament to the strength of Yoruba culture that SUPERCEDES any other culture or religion. It's the same reason why the black Brazilians STILL speak Yoruba and practice traditional Yoruba religion to this day, after 300+ yrs in a portuguese country and culture. The Yoruba togetherness/ culture can't be quelled by any other in the world. It is a fantastic trait that we should never lose.

The reason we have such relative peace is because Sharia as not been introduced. We are seeing a dress rehearsal concerning the hijab situation in ilorin. Implent Sharia law in the southwest and see the age long omoluabi ethos shattered.
Disprove my analysis if am wrong. The only thing you can argue about is likely the %
yes but that's the case with everything. Christian law, ifa law, etc. Whenever you impose a religion on a country by law, it causes huge problems. The separation of church and state has already been an understood solution to avoid issues. The christian crusades killed people in the thousands in mideival europe. We see how many people sharia law has killed. The same could be said on indigenous religions if coded into state law. Whenever you impose any religious doctrine into law, a nation crumbles from within.

myobjective:
I'm a Yoruba Muslim and don't believe in the political sharia nonsense of northern Nigeria.

Yoruba irrespective of religion needs to continuously live together, forging a future where science and development can be brought to eradicate poverty.

The Yoruba will develop a secular nation devoid of any religious interference. We wouldn't allow the extremism of whatever faith to win.
Exactly. That other guy is clearly a Fulani muslim extremist posing as Yoruba. Most Yorubas have muslims, christians, traditional religions in their families. It is by nature that Yorubas don't impose religious rules on each other, or your own family will suffer from it.

is it massive like those that came out to welcome buhari during 2015 campaign in ibadan?
What exactly does that have to do with 2021, 6 years later?
PoliticsRe: Sharia Will Be Allowed In Oduduwa Republic Says Igboho's Aide by MrMaestro: 5:29pm On Apr 18, 2021
Many people did not read the comment.
Everyone will be allowed to practise their religion; whether you want to practise Sharia, it's entirely up to you.
There's no government mandate. It's religious freedom. What every developed nation practices.

cool

Makinde should just act maturely and ignore them

And that is not Goverment house, that is Mapo hall, first town hall in Nigeria built in 18th century

If you call this nonsense massive then go and check the video of Olubadan giving Rochas Okorocha award at liberty stadium that same Saturday and see massive, even Aare Ona Kaakanfo was there

.
They were at Mapo Hall AND the Oyo State secretariat office. And yes, it was VERY massive.

Oyo state governor Seyi Makinde made a threat against Sunday Igboho and his supporters for Oodua Nation. Oodua Nation supporters in Oyo showed their support for the movement with a MASSIVE march on the Oyo state governors house, waving Oodua Nation flags. This is getting really real. The supporters are growing exponentially.

I understand you. What I was saying was that you shouldn't have involved other tribes in the thread so they won't use it as excuse to derail it
My guy, you need to understand that people who want to detail it will FIND a way to derail it no matter what. Stop having the mentality of over accommodating other people's feelings. That is what has gotten us into this mess in the first place. Let whoever's offended about Yoruba success cry to their mothers. Period.

How does one peddle falsehood of something everyone can see?

Tell me which other tribe invest in lagos?

If a tribe that was given 20 pounds after the war can make a great come back like this abeg around of applause for the igbos, is it not easy

Remember the federal government does nothing for the south east, we developed our land without help till today

Please don't wish support yoruba nation, we igbos Don taya because of too many blackmail guess what even if I was born in lagos and have more yoruba friends I am still an omo nna

Support biafra as well and remember biafra is bigger than nnamdi kanu
What exactly do Igbos bring as investments? Fake chinese products? Sir we don't think like that. Anyone can import products from china. In fact, it does more harm than good to the local economy.

I'll say this. With the way the trajectory of Lagos was going before the disintegration of regions, I'll take a purely yoruba Lagos of old, over a current lagos any day of the week. There will be less people, less congestion, more resources per capita, and burgeoning industries growing as it is now.

Biafranboys:
Igbos fought and died for what they believed in and we have our own identity, biafra. If you hate igbos so much, please support biafra and get this I did not say support nnamdi Kanu, biafra is bigger than kanu.

Like it or not there would be igbos in yoruba nation, no city can strive without investors, fulani won't invest. Lol
I don't hate Igbos at all, I just put you all in reality when you peddle falsehoods. There is no reality in which Igbos as a group have been more economically sound than Yorubas. I'm still trying to figure out the math that says Igbos contribute the most in Lagos, yet millions MORE Igbos cant even take the SE region to second place in IGR, and instead is second to last. It doesn't make sense. Yet Igbos keep peddling this lie to make yourselves feel good

Regardless, I do sincerely wish every region goes there own way. Nigeria has been more a burden on the Yorubas than a blessing.

I hate nonsense, tho i want it break but i dont want igbos and yoruba break, i just want it like the Sudan.

Northern Nigeria and Southern Nigeria, that is ok by me.
You must have lost your mind. There is no way on earth a Yoruba nation will join a nation with Igbos/Biafra. It will never happen, so you better come to terms with that now.

Even history shows Yorubas have been business oriented with Large scale industries generating wealth for Western region and Nigeria while the loudmouths in East had nothing, all they do is petty trading, importing E-wastes and all sorts of junks from China into the Nigerian market.

Left for Yorubas, we'd produce everything we consume and shut all our ports to junks importation by Easterners.
I'm glad you said this. I was watching a video on cocoa production and was shocked. That alone built the Cocoa tower in 1965. Can you imagine? We should have hundreds if not thousands of towers by now. Yorubas don't realize just how far Nigeria has dragged us back. We really should be like all these other developing/developed asian countries. We were on that trajectory before the military destroyed regionalism.

This is an eye opener for Yorubas to wake up.. we run this corruption ridden country and feed the hungry parasites we're surrounded by.

Look at the noisemakers who developed Asia, Amelica, U.K you name it struggling at the bottom of the table, contributing absolutely nothing but crime and criminal attrocities to the economy.
This. It starts with the overly liberal Yorubas among us. We really need to start asserting our dominance over them. They are the ones dragging us back.

Why do we keep arguing about something that is an open secret, I was born and breed in lagos and I know what I am saying.

Yorubas have an economic region because of other tribes, all tribes make the yoruba economy boom even the fulanis with their cows

Fulanis stopped pepper flow and people was crying

There is double taxation in lagos don't you get it, igbos can't take that nonsense in the south east

Do you think the yoruba man is the sole owner of the airport? Lol.. Bros na person day under masquerade.

Na people give dangote money, even innoson he is not the sole owner
No one said he was the sole owner, reading is fundamental. I said he RUNS the Private Equity firm. Which is my point. Yorubas are in LEADERSHIP positions in companies and governmental agencies and are successful both in Nigeria and OUTSIDE of Nigeria. That's not by accident. I didn't even mention the Chairman of the African Development Bank, yes, another Yoruba.

And every region has other tribes. But many PREFER the southwest because the leaders of that region have created a more economically viable climate than all other regions combined. That's a fact. If the north or FCT had a better economic region, people would go there instead. But they don't because it can't compare. And before you bring up Lagos, do understand that Ogun is also very high up on that list. Unless you now want to say Ogun is developing because of other tribes? Lol you Igbos just refuse to deal with reality and just love making excuses for Yoruba success. Yet continue to ignore the fact that the East is second to last in IGR. Why is that?

I thought Anambra is the most industrious State in Nigeria as claimed by our dear CHESTBEATERS from that known Region. Why now on number 10 angry

Yoruba Muslim must have just written the index, Anambra is more industrialized than Ogun State angry
I've come to the realization that Igbos live in self delusion and fantasy land. They struggle with dealing with reality and would rather tell themselves lies than deal with issues at hand. All of those flaws will become crystal clear when this country splits.

Igbos are travelers and business minded and they can even invest in Iraq as long as there is money to be made.

For me I believe anywhere u live is your home

But check this out if igbos decide to leave South West trust me una go feel am, who would fill the gap.. Fulanis?? Yorubas are not business minded, yorubas like soup way Don done

Igbos can develop a forest and turn it into a city

Igbos are almost like the Chinese the difference is Chinese always go back home. And build

Igbos do not lay claim to land, if you sell me your land I am the owner and not you, how do you own a land you sold to me?
Yorubas are not business minded, yet three of their states are in the top 6 of highest IGR.

Yorubas are not business minded, yet they have more tech billionaires than all other regions combined. (Flutterwave, Paystack, Calendly, etc.)

Yorubas are not business minded, yet a Yoruba man runs a private equity firm that BOUGHT Gatwick Airport in London

Yorubas are not business minded, yet they have the most economically viable region in the entire country.

Guy, there aren't more Igbos in the southwest than there is in the south east. If igbos were greater business men, the higher concentration of Igbos in the south east should at least make the SE second to the SW in IGR. Instead they're second to last. You all need to face reality. Yorubas are better at business, and creating structure and organization as a group. Igbos are good at being solopreneurs. That doesn't build a business and it certainly doesn't build a nation. You need to understand the difference between the two.

You people are pathetic.
So population us now a burden?
So what do you want China with a population of 1.4 billion to do?

Nigeria is not even up to 300m and we are complaining about population. What if we are 1billion? Our leaders won't even do anything again.

Is it not our population that makes us the biggest economy in Africa?

Is the govt feeding Nigerians or we are the one feeding them?
Abeg, take a seat.
Are you dumb? Population is a huge burden when placed on a tiny land mass. There's a reason why countries have immigration borders and barriers. Otherwise they would just allow any and everyone to enter to have the biggest population. China has a huge landmass. Lagos does not. This is common sense
