I wonder if MPSA attacks white people with their 10% population controlling 90% of the SA wealth, as much as he's here attacking Nigerians. I know he doesn't, because he's scared of confronting white people. Though he'll say it is because south africa is united and they're a rainbow nation, as if anyone is stupid here and cant do the math that 10% white people owning 90% of the wealth is NOT equality between the races. He's just avoiding the fact that they're still slaves, and unfortunately they can't do anything about it. They are still scared of white people 20+ yrs later. I even respect Zimbabwe more than SA because for better or worse at least they took control of their destiny as African people. |
Nowenuse:I agree. Its sad, I remember having an argument with an african american who said she hates nigerians because we're stuck up. And I was like, excuse me but just because we are confident and expect the best education and grades and try to be the best we can be, doesn't mean we are stuck up. Sometimes the hatred from some Africans and other black people comes from them being uncomfortable with how much confidence we have as Nigerians. Many people aren't comfortable with that. But we have to keep moving forward and become more united as a country so that we are stronger. |
Nowenuse:I agree! Nigeria's fashion industry is on the rise. |
Europeans also want to include our home grown Nigerian fashion in their fashion modeling. What other african country can say that? None, because they want proper fashion, not na kedness with beads. Ghana, Kenya, SA, or any other, you can't compare to Nigeria. Just stop it. You're not fooling anyone.

MPSA:You're lying to yourself, and everyone here knows it. ![]() |
Nowenuse:Ah! SO STUNNING! Look at that, beauty personified. No one can do it like Nigerians in fashion. |
Onwardvic:I agree with you 100%. We bear the responsibility of our destiny. It begins on the ground level with all of us. We need to start valuing our products as Nigerians, and investing in our own manufacturing as a country. I always get angry when we hire developer contractors from other countries. Sure they (sometimes) hire nigerians to do most of the building. However why not invest in financing hands on education for home grown nigerians to be able to learn how all of these projects are conducted, and then pay them to develop the country, keeping our money inside of our country insead of paying some external contractor from another country. |
Rosskii:Perfectly stated. Some people just haven't studied history so their mind only works in the present, and can't make connections over thousands of years of knowledge of how civilizations rise and fall. |
I've seen everybody try to come for Nigeria. From Kenya, to SA and Ghana. And i'm seeing all of them fail miserably one by one. God Bless Nigerian patriots. God Bless Nigeria. |
LordAdam16:I stopped reading after this because it just shows how ignorant you are about not only Africa, but human society as a whole. If you were a student of history, you'd understand that the main reason africa is in this mess, is because the african has refused to internalize the fact that the main driver of a society from primitive to civilization, is a recording and teaching of history. It is because africans don't teach our history, that this thread is extremely popular, many people DON'T know about Queen Amina, or Moremi. African teachers didn't record who where the major artisans who created beautiful bronze castings, or who they depicted. They didn't record HOW these artisans were able to smelt metal for these castings. African teachers DIDN'T record HOW the Dogon tribe were able to map the sirius B star system thousands of years prior to the invention of the telescope. African teachers didn't record and teach HOW the breakthroughs the Egyptians developed in maths and science came to be. It is the primitive oral tradition, and lack of appreciation for written history, that has damned the progress of the african. I as an african can't even find a specific document on how ife bronze casting was executed step by step. Why? So you'r telling me history is not important, would the german american Einstein have POSSIBLY been able to develop the theory of relativity if he wasn't taught about the English Isaac Newton's general relativity? Would Edwin Hubble have made breakthroughs in Cosmology if he wasn't taught in school that the Prussian Nicolaus Copernius proved the sun is the center of our solar system and not the earth? The west didn't develop overnight, and they certainly didn't develop having the mentality of not exploring the history of europe. They developed by learning about their historical achievements, learning from them and building upon them. That's why I label your statements very shortsighted and ignorant, and just plain stupid. You say that "Exploring African history means absolutely nothing unless we develop", when you fail to realize that they exploration of history is precisely what allows a society to develop. If no one is taught anything about what people achieved and discovered in history, every generation effectively starts from scratch instead of building upon what the previous generation accomplished. Which is the MAIN problem Africa faces today, which is why we're not getting anywhere. You also mention the Ancient egypts development of pyramids while failing to realize that they were actually one of the only african civilizations that had a written history which was used to teach multiple generations. Which is precisely why they stand above other ancient african empires to today. |
Horus:I agree whole heartedly. But people like that cannot be ignored. They must be picked apart and debunked immediately, as other africans would probably align more with that mentality because they have an innate african inferiority complex that they haven't addressed. It is very important to continue to do what you're doing. |
Nowenuse:I agree that historical exposure is important for our confidence AND that we can't rest on these facts and become complacent to not do anything. But I don't think Rosskii believes that either. I think he wants to use that as a source of energy to ENCOURAGE people to do more to make Africa better. On Lordadam16 and braden2, I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't even black Africans or if they were white. Racist white people in the US were already exposed for impersonating black people in profile pics and then saying embarrassing or anti black comments to make other black people hate themselves. Which is just horrible. See the source here : https://bossip.com/1388301/blacktwitterblock-these-white-nationalists-posing-as-black-people-on-twitter-arent-fooling-anyone/ |
Yup, I found this out a few years ago as well. I've always believed the only think holding us back is ourselves mentally. We've either consciously or unconsciously internalized that the African is inferior. Due to a variety of factors, largely promoted by the west. In order to offset this, Africans need to start developing an African supremacist ideology. Not in the genocidal sense, but in our society and in teaching our children. Anyone who doesn't realize this or doesn't agree is just being naive. We're decades if not hundreds of years behind the west. I look at ai, and shows like Westworld and think that if we don't start having more urgency, we'll PERMANENTLY be left behind. Artificial intelligence is already rapidly improving. And Elon Musk is creating a company called Neural link, to combine the human brain with ai. He has the BEST scientists in the WORLD working on this. What happens if they achieve this? Do you think the African would catch-up anytime soon with Rich white people becoming exponentially smarter with ai in their brains? And what happens when the middle class white person can afford to do the procedure? Africans would effectively have a timer of extinction through natural selection. They're researching multiple dimensions, discovering what dark energy and dark matter is, organizing trips to colonize the solar system and galaxy, and even researching how they can create a human themselves using silicon and ai (see Westworld). We are getting LEFT BEHIND! And the gap is getting larger! People think we have an unlimited amount of time to get it right, but we don't! If they accomplish any of those goals in the next 75 years and African countries are still busy trying to create a functioning society and countries, we need to just pack up go because there's no catching up from then. It is for this reason I say we need to have a STRONG sense of urgency in fixing ourselves. And this includes African supremacy. Us and our children need to believe that they're the smartest in the world, numerous studies have proven that people act in accordance to stereotype. In this study, girls and boys were told that boys are better at math than girls, and then gave all the kids a math test. Unsurprisingly, the boys did better and the girls did worse. When no such stereotype was presented before the exam, both were equal in their results ( I actually think the girls might've scored better). My point is, psychology rules EVERYTHING. The vast majority of humans are followers. The African has been following the West's perception of the African because they haven't been presented with a strong alternative. It is up to US to present that and make them follow this new ideology. If we can do that you'll see how quickly things can change. Anyway, I've said all I needed to say. Centuries of white supremacy not only promoted white confidence, as their children began to believe they're better than Africans because they're black and their parents told them so. But it also damaged the African because he too was told white people were better, whether it be directly or indirectly. We as African parents/ leaders need to reverse this effect immediately. It is extremely important. |
He's right you know. The lagoon dwellers can't see it though. |
The southern part of Nigeria owns the oil which feeds the entire country. Without the oil today, there is no economy and there is no Nigeria. The same south controls the commercial sector of the economy. The media is still owned and controlled by the South.Point of correction. The South-South has the majority of the oil reserves in this country, not the igbos. But yes the southwest, specifically Lagos alone, controls the commercial sector of the economy, with 25% of Nigeria's GDP, that's without oil. And if ranked as a country it is the 5th largest economy in Africa. Not to mention being home to the tech startup hub in yaba And with Ogun attracting 75% of Nigeria's foreign direct investment, the southwest in totality seems to be on the rise. And yes, the Southwest controls the media. The only thing thing the Yorubas don't dominantly control is oil (but as you can tell the southwest doesn't really need to), and the political sphere (even though Yorubas greatly influence it through media). The Yorubas also dominate Nigeria's music and film industry. So to recount, the Yorubas own the commercial capital of the country and the tech investment scene (Lagos), the investment capital of the country (Ogun), owns the media, owns majority of the movie industry, and owns the majority of the music industry. The only thing the Yorubas don't easily dominate is politics. But while everyone is focusing on politics, the Yorubas focused on what is important. The U.S. didn't become a powerhouse by having great diplomats or being political savants. Neither did any other superpower. They became a superpower by controlling the MONEY and the MEDIA. Washington may be the political center, but Wall Street and New York are the true rulers of the United States. Now with that being said, the Yorubas don't need the igbos or any other tribe to achieve anything. The Yorubas have all the power to do it on alone and could control Nigeria if that was the goal. It's funny because the Yorubas have been the least hungry for that. But it's only a matter of time before Yorubas start exercising that power to control major aspects of this country, including politics. It will come naturally and with time. Power never goes unexercised, and the Yorubas are amassing significant power in this country, that's just a fact. The Oba of Lagos made a comment against the entire igbos, and not only did they do nothing, they still live and work and go to Lagos in droves. Because they have no other choice. That's the signifier of power. It only began with the Oba of Lagos. We'll see more of that in the future. |
Jetleeee:I agree 100% with this. No one will ever respect niceness. People only respect power and strength. That's just a fact. |
Only a person out of touch with reality will compare the dirtiest place in the entire world to Ogun. But I'll leave you to your delusions.
|
FKO81:You can post pictures. But why can't you respond to Anambra being there dirtiest place in the world?
|
FKO81:Where are the pictures showing Anambra as the dirtiest place in the world? Or have you avoided those?
|
arinze2015:Don't forget to add that Anambra is the dirtiest place in the world
|
Why isn't any of you Anambra people addressing the fact that Anambra is the dirtiest place in the world? Is that not embarrassing? To be the dirtiest place in the ENTIRE WORLD?
|
We can all have an opinion on Anambra and Ogun. But one thing is certain, Anambra is the dirtiest place in the world. That's just a fact.
|
Since the topic has switched to Anambra, let's talk about how it has been ranked the dirtiest in the world.
|
arinze2015:What? Just stop it, this is the second time in 2 days that Anambra pictures have flooded threads on Ogn. You all have a serious problem. You clearly seek validation from Yoruba people. I don't see you going to hausa-fulani threads posting about Anambra all over. |
Why are igbos so insecure when it comes to the Yorubas. It's so painfully obvious. Why is Anambra even mentioned here? |
LionDeLeo:You are not convincing anyone and will never convince anyone to defend attacks against all Nigerians just because there might be some criminals. So just stop it. Thank God no one is agreeing with your inferiority complex mentality. Take that mentality elsewhere, no one here is having it. |
iykofias:They'll also be the first ones to marry a fat oyinbo the first chance they get. Ijust look at them in disgust. There's nothing more pathetic than a man accepting inferiority mentality to another man. They are an ambarassment. |
new2012:These people need to be purged from society. I am 1000% serious. They are a cancer to Nigerians and our self worth. They are SICK in the head. |

Not for other people
